I have lived all over and of course my dog came with me everywhere I've lived. Nowhere have they been as professional and super super knowledgable as they have at this vet clinic. Danika was a genuine pleasure to deal with when it came to Bentley's nutrition. I felt like I was talking to actual Doctor of Pet Nutrition. TREMENDOUS amount of pet nutrition knowledge. She COMPLETELY 100% understood my goals for Bentley and help me find correct food for his life stage. Overall, truly great staff everytime we are there, ( I can't believe I thought to leave this vet for another due to location in the city) Mistake on my end, great clinic, super friendly vets, support staff and Danika was ... just ... simply .. OUTSTANDING! Wow!

The vet Jillian is so incredible she has such a big heart and approaches rough topics in an appropriate way. You can also request advance notices for appointments that will be required! I would suggest this because the cost is on the high end but you know it’s a clean place with good vets.

The vet techs and doctors are great here. This is a no pressure environment, where they will offer advice on what steps to take for providing proper care for your dog or cat. I am not sure if they handle other animal types, but if they do I know they will give great service. Some clinics will use emotional tactics in an attempt to make you spend more on things that are not needed to be done, not here! They are professional and helpful; they understand that things are not always easy and will work with you. Bring your dogs and cats here, but call ahead to see if they provide care for other types. Great staff l, great service and they often have cookies for dogs, cats and humans too!

I brought home my little chihuahua Milo, two years ago. I knew immediately I would have to find a great vet, the best vet for my "little man". As I spoke to my peers and friends, I was referred to Oakridge Animal Clinic. I started taking Milo, the little man chihuahua, to Shannon. I was welcomed with open arms and received the best care for Milo! He still visits his favourite ladies for his routine vaccinations, check ups, even nail trims!! Aside from all of the incredible work these women do here for the health of our fur babies, they genuinely care, they offer any possible assistance they can to help you keep your pet healthy, and happy. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere BUT to Oakridge. Highly knowledgable staff and the most comforting environment!

We've been dealing with these guys for the last couple of years and have been there several times I have to say outright the service has been great the staff are knowledgeable friendly outgoing service-oriented they take excellent care of you and your fur friends or fur babies or pets however you like to refer to them, The reason for four stars and not five is I just find the upselling and it's not just them, it happens in a lot of places but I feel like McDonald's when I go in there sometimes that it's do you want to supersize your fries do you want to add this to that There is always so much up selling sometimes I just want to go in and get my dog's nuts cut and go home I don't want to hang them on my keychain or put them in the locket. Yes that was kind of a joke but seriously great Animal Clinic great staff I just hate how all of these places try and milk you for that extra few dollars and it's not cheap

I recently went to the clinic to get my pup Stella checkup and the experience was great. The wait time was relatively short, appointment was quick and easy. Unfortunately I can not rate the inside of the office as I was not allowed to go in which was understandable because of Covid. One thing that had me worried a bit was the location of the office, it did not stand out as much which made me almost miss it. I would definitely recommend this clinic as my last did not follow up with me for my pets despite me calling in several times about them having tape worms. I'm looking forward to the follow up appointment with them on the 19th.

Call me a crazy cat lady, but my little ball of fur is my world, and I'm not about to trust his health to just anyone. I know this is an outstanding crew and will take good care of him when he's in need. They've always been honest about what is and is not going to benefit him and I've never felt pressured to do or buy anything. They're about the middle of the road in terms of cost, but provide above average care, so that's a bargain in my eyes. I live closer to about 4 other clinics but I'll happily drive a little further to know my boy is in the best hands possible.

I took my cat to this facility for the first time yesterday, and I cannot say enough good things about it. From the minute I walked in, the receptionist staff were very friendly and accommodating to my freightful pet. The Vet (Dr. Moffat) was extremely informative and friendly and answered any questions or concerns I had. Even a day after my appointment, I had some questions regarding the antibiotics that were prescribed for my cat and I was getting very timely and helpful responses through email from the staff at Oakridge Animal Clinic. Highly recommend this facility. Keep up the great work everyone.

I have had dogs and cats for the better part of the last 15 years, and have lived in various cities in southern Ontario. I have yet to visit a clinic that comes close to the quality at Oakridge. The entire staff is friendly, VERY knowledgable and caring. The general vibe at the clinic is always warm, calm and caring. They have always gone above and beyond my hopes/expectations. The staff and Dr's have always done anything/everything they can for both my animals and myself. My only wish is that I had found them sooner.

The location is rather remote for many, but so far, I'd say it's worth the drive. 2 visits in so far, but all the staff I've encountered have been very polite, friendly and inviting. The doctor was exceptional. She took the time to do proper exams without rushing, took the time to answer all my questions (and I had many). Everybody was very compassionate. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

Where do I start ? I rushed our 7 year old Golden, Charlie into Oakridge at 4:45 pm with a bloated stomach. The staff took him right in and Dr. Gillian came out 10 minutes later. Charlie's stomach had flipped and required emergency, life saving surgery and I had to decide on providing a DNR. Dr. G, Dr. Caitlin, Miranda and the whole team at Oakridge saved Charlie's life not just with the surgery but the aftercare which was just as important. We have been frequent visitors to Oakridge for the past 30 years (Dr. C was our next door neighbour and I don't think she was even born...) and the level of service keeps increasing. And it's not just the care, it's the compassion the entire team shows day in and day out for the patients AND the owners when their BEST FRIENDS need help. They threw Charlie a party on his final check up, the entire staff, my wife and I were bawling. Charlie just went from person to person for belly rubs (around his 12 inch scar of course). My family and I are eternally grateful to the TEAM at Oakridge Animal Clinic. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. By the way, we have had Pet Insurance for all our dogs, Pets Plus Us were super responsive and covered everything according to the terms of our policy for which we are eternally grateful.

We have had lots of great experiences here but have had 2 really bad experiences with the vet tech Danny. She tried telling us that our dog was sick because we didn’t give him their brand of food (Royal Canin or Hills Science) when we still feed him high quality food. She wouldn’t explain to us her thinking other than she would worry about quality control and was really condescending. Really bad experience and we love our vet but I’m not sure if we’ll be back.

Not impressed at all they offer a first time client exam for $1.00 which is good, I had a 2;p.m. appointment on Monday, had a family emergency my father taken by ambulance to hospital, as such we missed and forgotten the appointment, we received a call after 2;p.m. hoping to reschedule this clinic told us that they can reschedule but the first time client exam for $1.00 would not apply anymore, I then offered to come down right away for I live not to far from the clinic, unfortunately they were all booked up. We are not interested in dealing with cold people that are like this so we thought we would warn everyone.

From the wonderful Receptionists, to the VERY knowledgeable Technitions - who teach and listen, use critical thinking, care with above average compassion and empathy, love on the animals and provide so much info to the parents - they are exemplary Techs and lovely people - each and every one of them. So understanding !! The Vetinarians go above and beyond, creating therapeutic relationships with the animals and their caregivers. From treating a new pup, an old cat, to treating an end of life dog - they are SIMPLY the best at sharing wisdom, empathy and their love of animals. Our new vet was such a disappointment providing a horrific and devestating experience. We'll never go back there. We miss you Oakridge !!!!!!

LOVE this clinic. I have 2 dogs and we changed a few clinic in London before we finally found the high quality care we were looking for. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating and the care provided is excellent. Recently, one of my dogs had teeth cleaning done which resulted in extraction of 5 teeth - with a procedure like that it is imperative that the owner is given all the information and pet kept as comfortable as possible. Oakridge clinic exceeded those requirements - my little girl recovered amazingly and I appreciate the level of care received. Great job!

I have been to several vet clinics over the years, but now that I have found Oakridge I can't see myself leaving. The reception and nurses are exceptional. They always greet my animal by name. I love that I get to spend so much time with the Dr's in the appointment. Unfortunately I tend to be a regular at the vet, and I always feel that my concerns are addressed with sympathy and great knowledge. I highly recommend this clinic!!

My take.....a tad money grubbing. For example: my first Chi got fixed there (this is what the vet has for his pets-so I dont buy ignorance). Anyway, my baby had two sets of teeth which is common for this breed. I found out after the fact, that most vets when doing the spay/neuter surgery pull the 2nd set of teeth. Hence, making for one surgery instead of two and safer for the animal. But I had no idea until another vet told me it should have been done with the first vet upon his neutering. So, I had to put my baby (at the cost of 2 expensive surgeries) under twice....which is risky in any case. I also found his main assistant to be hard to deal with. On another occasion they wouldn't give me a refill on a basic ear ointment (I can find on Ebay but try to keep a small carbon footprint) without a pricey examination......even though he is up to date on his shots. Just a bad experience and changed vets pretty fast. All this served with some attitude from his main assistant.

Having read all these wonderful reviews a few weeks ago, I took the day off work as my doggy seemed very uncomfortable. She was yelping in pain in frequently after moving. I was concerned it could be something serious (obstruction?...). My regular vet was away on holidays for a week so i thought i'd try this vet out with great reviews. They accepted me readily and seemed very caring, except after a long discussion, the vet attending us gave some possible answers, but with no testing done (ie. no blood work, x-ray, stool, urine etc...). I was sent home with pain meds, incase she had possible a muscatel skeletal problem (but no x-rays were done to test for this) and a very expensive light canned dog food incase she had pancreatitis(no blood tests were done to diagnose for this possibility). I feel I spent $150 for no real conclusion and a pain medication to mask the problem. Unhappy, the next day I went to another vet who immediately, within a few min, found my dog was very uncomfortable in her spine and gave a diagnosis. But, to clarify, he also had her x-rayed to confirm his thoughts and also to check for possible abdominal obstruction. With the x-ray completed, he verified that his thought was correct and that my dog had a spinal problem and was constipated because of her pain. The x-ray showed no dangerous obstruction. He also gave anti inflammatory medicine as the pain medicine that Oakridge Animal Clinic gave was ONLY for pain and not to bring down inflammation which is necessary for a spine/musculoskeletal problem and a med to loosen her bowels so she would not be constipated. I asked the second vet about the canned food i got from Oakridge vet. He said it was not needed as my dog had not been diagnosed with pancreatitis (which was a simple blood test and not necessary as she showed no symptoms of pancreatitis). I went home, relieved that I had the proper test done and knew what was wrong with my dog. The total came to $220 including 2 x-rays and 2 types of medicines. While I was at the second vet, I got a pleasant follow-up phone call,notifying me that I could come in again for a check-up if my dog wasn't better. I asked what they would do in this check-up, and they said that they would do another physical. I clarified if they would do any tests? They said no, just a physical. I said thank-you, but no thank-you. In a nutshell Oakridge employees seemed very nice, however, I visit a vet for medical treatment, not for consolation and no conclusive tests, results or diagnosis.

When I arrived everyone was welcoming. I brought my pet in because she might have worms. She was covered in flees. So they took a stool sample, and gave her a tablet to kill the worms and a dab of flee treatment. All that came to around $80.00, which was fine. I can't afford to keep coming back for treatments so I asked if there was any flee treatment I can get from the store, I was told that it wasn't as good, then they kept trying to sell me this pet food that they said was better, for prices I couldn't afford, then on my bill I was charged an extra $76.00 just for concultation, which I thought was too much considering I was only given the same information I could have googled off the net; that and trying to sell me stuff. I would have preferred to pay the 80 for what they did for my pet, and just tell me where I can get flee stuff from a regular pet store. But I did get what I came for. Just paid more then I thought I should have.

Time and time again, Oakridge Animal Clinic offers the best service to my Black Lab Bongo. Whether it is a routine check up or a serious ailment, the staff at Oakridge Animal Clinic treats him as if he was one of their own. This is (in my opinion) the best animal clinic in London. They treat our pup like a member of the family and are a pleasure to work with. We have a very busy & very accident-prone pup who has visited the clinic for multiple different concerns over the past 2 years from allergies (to vaccines & seasonal allergies), vaccines, dew claw repairs, and even tooth removals. They are very knowledgable and make the extra effort to put your mind at ease. They are truly amazing! After having worked at vet clinics in the past and even being a client at other clinics (prior to finding Oakridge), this will definitely be the clinic that we trust our precious pup with for the rest of his life! Truly amazing people!!! I wish they could be my health care provider. You will be hard-pressed find a more loving, caring and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Truscott, Caitlin and Nicole have treated our pets for years and from newborns to the "trip to the other side of the rainbow" they have treated our "four-legged" family as they would their own. We never have to worry about their care and handling because we know that they are receiving the best care there is. 5 stars is not enough stars when it comes to rating the Oakridge Animal Clinic.
