We have been with Hyde Park Veterinary Hospital for a number of months now, and our experience to date has been excellent. We have one very high maintenance cat with a number of medical issues, and from the start, Dr. Jack understood all his different conditions and suggested a couple of new approaches to his care, which turned out to be spot on. Our other cat had a recent illness and Dr. Jack diagnosed and treated her quickly and appropriately. Dr. Jack has a very intuitive sense of what is wrong and how to fix it. There is a very high degree of professionalism combined with a very caring attitude at Hyde Park Veterinary Hospital by Dr. Jack, Melissa, Phil, and all of the staff there. The clinic is extremely well laid, beautiful in design, and very large with separate areas to treat dogs and cats (important for those of us who are "one but not the other" people). After moving here from B.C., it has been wonderful for us to find a vet as dedicated as Dr. Jack to look after our two cats. We highly recommend Hyde Park Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Jack to anyone looking for veterinary care for their animals.

I love coming to the vet because the staff are wonderfully nice. They take the time to register you and get to know your pet before going forward with anything. Dr. Jack takes his time to discuss any questions or concerns you may have, hes a great listener. Anyways, I have attached a picture of my cat that got neutered just yesterday, he had an amazing quick recovery by the next day he was up and playing. VERY GOOD PRICE compared to other veterinary. Very trustworthy staff - I have paid already for vaccination before getting LEO neutered and they have accidentally charged me for it. I did not even notice the charge on my final bill, as it was just $10. Crystal which i believe her name is the receptionist gave me a quick call apologized and refunded me the $10 instantly. Which i found amazingly surprising, they went out and beyond. I had the best customer service experience honestly. Much Love to this place.

Dean has had loads of weird things going on with him inconsistently but they always make room for Dean when the emergencies arise. If I lived on the other side of the city - I would still bring Dean to Dr. Jack. The best veterinarian I have ever been to, hands down.

Highly recommended! Dr. Jack is very friendly, up to date with research, and happy to answer questions. Melissa is also lovely, and very accomodating! (I haven't met the 3rd staff member.) Dr. Jack is thorough and cares about the animals he sees. My cats have only been with him for 6 months, but so far he's always presented me with all my options and explained the advantages and disadvantages of each. He provides itemized lists and costs for procedures and treatments, and will go through the list with you and explain which ones are mandatory (for the entire procedure), which ones are optional, and go over how necessary he feels the optional ones are. He's honest and open with his opinions--for example, my kitten needs dental, due to completely crooked adult incisors that could get infected. He showed me her teeth, explained the risk and likelihood of it happening, stated that he recommended removal. I then asked about costs, and he provided me with an itemized list. The list shows a total for mandatory things only (low), and also a total for the addition of IV saline and pre-surgery blood work (high). I asked about the optional items, and I feel he was 100% honest about how much he recommended using each. My kitten also has a lump on her shoulder that we took a sample of via. fine needle aspiration. He only charged me for the aspiration itself first, and told me he would check the samples to make sure there were enough cells for the pathologist to analyze. They waited to charge me for the analysis after he confirmed this. His clinic sent me the official report from the pathologist the same day they got it, and then Dr. Jack called me to make sure I got the results and to discuss them with me. I wasn't expecting anything beyond "it's X" or "it's Y", as we had already discussed options, so I was very happy with all this additional information and contact. Another nice thing--as a client, you can email Dr. Jack with questions about anything (vet costs, diet, is this food/treat okay, what can I do for hairballs, what can I do for kitten dandruff, what kind of toothpaste do you recommend, etc.). I've emailed him a bunch and he generally responds within about 2 business days. I've never heard of another vet doing this! He also does Microchip clinics for shelters/rescues about twice a year, where they are discounted and all proceeds go to the non-profit. Most recent one was for Second Chance Auction Animal Rescue. I got both my cats done. I'm very happy with this clinic's caring, attention to detail, honesty, and respect for client decisions. Seems like all the other reviews feel the same way too!

When we first moved to London, we tried a few vets before finding Hyde Park Vet Hospital. Some had vets that didn’t seem very thorough, others made you wait forever despite having an appointment. I’ve never had those experiences at Dr Jack’s clinic. The clinic is clean, neat and organized. Staff are friendly and consistent- we’ve been seeing the same friendly vet techs since the clinic opened. This really helps my very nervous dog feel more comfortable. Dr Jack is a very thorough clinician. He gets down on my dog’s level to examine and treat him. He’s also very pragmatic in his treatment approach and I’ve never felt oversold on unnecessary treatment. He’s very personable and he always remembers our family. We feel like our pet is very well cared for at his clinic.

These guys at this clinic are great - pretty comparable in price to most places but Dr.Jack will be the first to suggest cheaper meds if they are available The also worked pretty hard to find a quick solution to a health issue for my dog even with it being at a different vet. Honestly, Dr. Jack and every single person he has on as staff are wonderful. They truly do go above and beyond for their patients. We've had nothing but pleasant experiences there, even during the tough times of covid-19. Their prices are nothing but fair, their service is top notch, their hours of operation are more than acceptable,etc. I don't have anything negative to say! Sometimes they are booked for weeks, (but what can you expect with a vet that's so great)....they do offer emergency spots daily (?) which helps! I am only adding that detail as an FYI and not as a complaint. We recently had to put our one dog down and they mailed us a handwritten sympathy card. Seriously!!! So sweet of them!
