The worst in animal care,pricing and customer service.

What I am so upset about is ; We rushed Our very sick cat in there. Within 20 minutes the vet went from saying We should pay them $1000 & Our beloved cat Bandit should go to the 24 hour animal emergency & We'd be paying top price. But within 20 minutes without even having time to cope or decide, we were then told We had to Euthanize. Not that night, not the next day but right then. And it would have meant so much if the Vet explained why We couldn't make Bandit better. We had so many questions afterwards, but We don't know why 20 minutes was enough to be certain He couldn't get better? I hope staff read this. That would have made it easier for Us to accept.But We went home devastated with so many questions & no answers.We also weren't told this tiny urn was going to cost $200. I had to Edit this as Fairmont kept their word & mailed Me my cat's paw print. It was ever so appreciated!! And it meant the World to Us, sincerely. My only complaint was just that I wish the Vet would have talked with Us more, or explained why my cat got so sick so quickly. Otherwise the service was FANTASTIC & We most Sincerely appreciate them taking Our cat ( who had been referred there by Our Vet - East Middlesex Animal Clinic, as Dr.Dev was doing surgery that day & couldn't come out to see Our animal so We had to race to Fairmont) They took Our beloved Bandit INSTANTLY & got him comfortable & pain free. If I EVER change vets it will 100% DEFINITELY BE TO FAIRMONT ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH LADIES. Laurie & John Amaral????????????????✌

Fairmont is staffed with the most amazing and caring vets and support staff. They have great customer rapport. We are always greeted with friendly “hellos” and smiles. We have never had to wait too long to be seen. If the staff senses our cat is getting anxious we are admitted into an empty examination room while we wait. Fairmont is accommodating, accepting and friendly with all pet personalities – our cat can be quite sassy and they still love him. The vets, Dr. McTavish, Dr. Watson and Dr. Hutchison (we have had visits with all three), are all knowledgeable and thorough, allowing us to ask questions and express any concerns. While our cat does not like being poked and prodded he can be heard cooing and purring for the vets. With some recent health scares, Fairmont was able to see us at short notice. The staff was keen to follow up on our cat’s development and helped him get healthy again! Even when our dog was sick and eventually passed away, the staff remained supportive throughout that rough time. Their compassion helped us with our transition. We have been visiting Fairmont for the last 20 years and couldn’t imagine trusting the health and well-being of our fur family to anyone else!

These folks are very caring and professional, and we've had great service from them. However, their prices and constant push to buy products from them have made us change vets. Our pets last exam, which might have lasted 15 minutes, was billed at just under $100, before tax. No tests or vaccines were administered. They're caring. But not appropriate in their prices in my opinion. If money doesn't matter to you, they're very good.

Dr. Brian Watson is fantastic! We have been to many vets over several moves and he is the only one who has taken the time to explain how allergies/other skin issues arise and actually attempt to get to the root of the problem of our dogs’ skin issues. Instead of just giving antibiotics and sending us on the way, he recommended testing to figure out the underlying cause and spent more than an out with us examining our two dogs and getting a full history on them. Such a kind, patient and helpful man! Very thankful to have found him! He is great with our big German shepherd as well which is awesome as well ????

When many vets tell people to give up, they encouraged us to bring him to the emergency clinic and that a happy ending was possible. After years of sickness, weaning off meds , we finally have our wonderful loving dog back.

I won't take my 2 tiny cats and 2 senior dachshunds anywhere else. The front office staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and efficient. The technicians are angels in disguise and virtual magicians (I don't have the most cooperative pets!) and all of the veterinarians understand that as pet owners, there's a constant struggle between providing the best care for your animals within your financial limits. They take a step by step approach to your pet's care. I know that all of Fairmont's staff care about my pets just as much as I do. They've proved it time and time again.

Kosh has gone here since she was a puppy. They even had a puppy party for everyone that got new dogs around Christmas the year we got her so that she could meet the vet, see the clinic and staff without being there fore a exam or treatment. Kosh is now 15 years old and even though we moved out of town 12 years ago we have maintained Fairmont as her vet because she loves all of the doctors, technicians and staff. They always have her best interests at heart and go above and beyond to make sure she is taken care of. The trust I have in the Fairmont team is why I can go on vacation and leave her with family and friends and not worry because I know if anything happens while I am away the Fairmont Team will care for her as they would their own pet. Fairmont has been my families vet clinic of choice as long as I can remember.

Maybe Jinx understands how this man saved his life a few years ago (emergency visit), but probably not. He's just got a really pleasant table-side manner, and Jinx always forgives him immediately after getting his shots. He's good with the humans, too - explains everything very clearly and answers all my questions with patience and understanding.

This clinic never has a solution and allows the animal to remain in pain as they guess and take money from you. After every visit at this clinic there was never a solution. Could not even can a UTI issue solved without repeated visits over 3 weeks and no medicine. Left my cat crying in pain. Every time I pay but never have a resolution. Front desk manager is condescending when you ask what “other measures” means and confrontational. I ended the conversation crying because I just have been trying to get help for my cats UTI and all they want is $$. Never had a vet “front desk manager” make me cry before but as long as she felt good about that .... have taken 3 cats there with 3 separate issues and not one has been solved. I am glad to read the post below mine... seems I’m not the only one that has an issue with the front desk.

The staff here are amazing. I started bringing my cat Garfunkle here in 2017 when we first got him as a kitten, and have been taking my other two elderly cats here as well since 2017. The staff have always been amazing and always remember my cats by name and greet us when we walk into the waiting room on a first name basis. We recently had to put one of our 13 year old cats down on Monday and the staff were exceptional. I have never felt so cared for and looked after as I have by the staff here. They were all very compassionate and discreet about the whole thing. One staff came in to talk to us about all our options for my cat's ashes and if we would like foot stamps or not, she took her time and made sure she thoroughly went over every single option with us to make sure we were picking the right one for us. The vet tech took us back to a nice, dimly lit room with a sofa and chairs and a lovely little bed set up for our cat to lay on. We had laid our own blanket over the bed they had set up to help comfort our cat more, and ended up leaving the blanket at the clinic after our cat had passed, and the staff were wonderful enough to wash and dry the blanket and return it to us, which I never expected to happen at all. They allowed us to spend as much time as we wanted with our cat before they administered the drugs to put her to sleep, which we were ale to be present for. After they confirmed she had passed we were, again, allowed to spend as much time as we needed with her before leaving the clinic. All in all I am so so happy we chose to go with Fairmount to help us with this difficult decision. Even several days later when I went to pick up the ceramic paw prints we had ordered, the staff asked how we were doing since Monday and were very understand. I could not imagine having to do their job but I'm so glad they were there in one of my families darkest times. I can not put into works how thankful I am for the amazing staff here! I will always recommend this clinic to anyone who asks!!

Fairmont Animal Hospital has the best customer service staff I've ever seen. The receptionists are extremely friendly, caring and always seem like they genuinely care about your pet. I cannot say enough nice things about the front desk ladies, and I am extremely grateful any time they give me advice in helping care for my dog. The vets are very good, our appointments are always very quick and efficient. Although fairly expensive, I am always confident that Kemba is getting the best care possible.

Went here today for the first time based on all these amazing reviews. My regular vet has limited hours so I decided it was time for a change. Regular 9-5ers, REJOICE. THEY'RE OPEN ON SATURDAYS. Worked perfectly with my schedule. Marie, the receptionist there was a GEM. Sweet, kind and obviously loves animals. The vet Sarah Wells was amazing as well, my dog fell in love with her. She took her time explaining different vaccines and problems. Answered all my questions. She was amazing and made us feel like we were in confident, smart and loving hands. Thank you so much for the care and support provided to our cat, Ponzi, rescued by the humane society after him and siblings were found behind a chinese restaurant and adopted by us, his family for the next 7 years of his life. Today we decided to put him to sleep, after being diagnosed with kidney failure followed by test results that were far from good news. After multiple IV fluids sessions and seeing how his blood results did not greatly improve, and also some not comforting ultrasound exam, we decided to let him rest, his life would be full of pinching, poking and lots of stress. We will miss you so much my little furry friend, you were a rainbow of happy moments and laughs. I am sad you had to go so soon. I truly can't say enough about Fairmont Animal Hospital staff, you were all amazing and gave us so much information to me and my husband, Dr Christina Parker, thank you for explaining us every test result and making us understand the gravity of it, and making sure that Ponzi felt loved and cared, until his last moments. Marie Hearn, thank you for being there, we sadly did not meet in a better situation, but thank you for the hugs, care and support. And lastly, Dr Brian Watson, who came talk to us today during Ponzi's last minutes, to comfort us, and support our decision, he agreed that Ponzi's future would never be the same as a healthy happy kitty, and thus, sleeping, was the best decision. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, Marie especially, and the veterenarian. They gave out good advice as well. The only thing I did not like is the fact that they do not write prescriptions, so you cannot order the drugs through an online service. Otherwise I was happy.

They are a great veterinarian clinic I've been taking my pet for a number of years now. The staff are amazingly friendly an treat owners and pets with all the respect they can give. From checkups to nail trims for my cat they have been great and always nice and respectful to my cat.

The doctors are very patient and always take the time to explain and recommend options if needed. The techs are great too, always professional and helpful. I've had great experiences at Fairmont. The front of house staff are so kind and welcoming no matter if you are there for an emergency or a regular check up. I feel so taken care of here. The three different vets I have seen have all been great at explaining what we are doing and take the time to discuss concerns. Appointments are kept in a timely manner and if there is a delay it is explained. It's not stressful for my dog here. I don't hear dogs in cages yelping in the back. I get great email reminders, the clinic is clean, the invoices are clear and the best part is THEY COMPLETELY DOTE ON MY DOG LIKE I DO.

I am so, so pleased with every single staff member at Fairmont (especially my girls vet Dr. Sarah Wells). My rescue Theo came to me with heartworm which was such a terrifying discovery. Dr. Wells has worked diligently to make sure she receives the best care and I am comfortable with the entire process. She personally checks in to see how Theo is coming along with her treatment. Heartworm is one of the scarier diagnoses to hear and deal with, and yet this hospital has made the entire process a positive one for me and my baby. The staff LISTEN - they respond to emails quickly and validate all the concerns you may have about your baby. I am so happy my friend recommended Fairmont to me and that little Theo's health is in their hands.

The staff have gotten to know my boys and make a point to come and visit with them when is not necessary and they are clearly busy with other tasks. Dr. McTavish goes out of her way to create comfort for my pets and even takes extra steps to accommodate some of their personality quirks and anxieties that most would ignore. Dr. McTavish is also always available when I have questions and concerns and genuinely cares as she has often done follow up phone calls herself. Marie is also an amazing resource and often has put my mind at ease with helpful suggestions and information and many laughs. We have been with Fairmont Animal Hospital for over 30 years and have always been very happy with the care of our kitties. During that time one of our cats required extensive surgeries for cancers as well as routine care. Three of our pets eventually needed to be euthanized and we were treated with great care and compassion. All of the staff from the vets to the front desk staff realized that this was a very emotional time for us and they went out of there way to make a very difficult situation as easy as it could be. We started taking our animals to Fairmont Animal Hospital after our regular vet that we knew quite well and loved very much moved out of town to work elsewhere. We had heard that Fairmont was a great clinic and decided to check it out. Of course, we were a bit hesitant that we may not find the same great service that we had previously received from our other vet, but these fears were quickly abolished when we met Dr. Parker and the rest of the Fairmont Team. At the time that we started attending Fairmont, one of our dogs was dealing with some very complex medical issues. Dr. Parker was so kind, caring, and compassionate (along with the rest of the staff) fitting us in where needed, calling us to discuss the best treatments, and corresponding with specialists in Guelph to ensure that our sweet boy received the best care and quality of life possible. The time spent with us during vet visits far surpassed any of our expectations as Dr. Parker was very thorough and ensured that we always understood everything she was saying and gave us time to ask any questions we may have. We were never rushed with her at our vet visits. Dr. Parker and the staff at Fairmont have continued to be the most kind, caring, and supportive staff/clinic throughout all of our multiple pet's needs. We have also met Dr. Wells in passing at the clinic, she is also so friendly and kind; it is clear how much she also cares about her clients (both pets and humans). I cannot say enough wonderful things about this clinic. If you are trying to decide where to take your pets and where they will receive the best care, this is the place to go. Fairmont makes you feel like family. They not only care about your pets but they care about you too. Thank you so much, Fairmont for all of your wonderful care. The vets are excellent and very thorough in their investigations with ailments and exams, which is very important to me. Fantastic, compassionate staff and wonderful vets. Dr. Wells is amazing and everyone clearly cares SO much about animals. Receptionists and front-of-desk are very organized, All staff members have been very good with our cats, gentle but able to 'get the job done'. Staff are personable and kind. Location is always neat, almost meticulously so which is impressive for a busy vet clinic. Appointments are easy to get and usually available next-day or at the very least within the week, for me. Costs can get a little pricey but IMO it's worth it for good care. They were able to aid with a financial issue when we lost our kitty (don't want to go into detail but they were extremely helpful). Super-supportive when we lost our kitty unexpectedly, and helpful in trying to figure out health issues with another cat. Professional, courteous, empathetic, and kind... wonderful experiences all around.

Fairmount Animal Hospital is the only place I would take my animals to. I first went to Fairmont Animal Hospital in 1989 when I took my dog that I rescued from Humane Society on Clarke Rd. The staff have always been friendly and compassionate. First dog that was shepard/boxer passed away at the age of 16. Our sheppard/great dane also a rescue had 9 years of excellent care from Fairmont Animal Hospital. I have another dog that is 8 who loves everyone at Fairmont. Recently I had a tennant who moved from the house leave a 8 month kitten. I tried for 3 weeks to catch the kitten. Finally I got the kitten but she was very sick. Unfortunately the kittens had some teeth broken, worms, bacteria infection in her stomach. Kitten has been dewormed, blood test, vacinations and infection cleared up. Fairmont doctors will be performing some dental work soon to help the kittens get well again. Thank you to the doctors and staff at Fairmont Animal Hospital for your kindness, dedication and professionalism.

My ex and I took our "pit bulls" there yrs ago we called everywhere and any vets that would take them were ridiculously expensive, Fairmount took Torq and Pixxie in and the dogs liked them as well, just recently we had to put Torq down he lived a long life (17yrs) and his health was declining and the ladies at Fairmount were so amazing they made us all comfortable in a little room and took a ink print of Torqs paw and a few days later sent us a sympathy card and also made a donation in Torqs name! I decided that if I didn't like their approach that I would just go back to the vet that I had been using. I am NOT going back. I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. Parker. She was very patient and kind to me. She answered all my questions and on the bill I received she made notes about what we talked about which was unexpected. It was very helpful to have the notes in case I forgot something. I was told that I could call or email any of my questions and I have and they got back to me right away. Marie, Laurie, Carly, Cathy, and Dr. Parker you are the best in the biz --- thank you for everything. I first visited Fairmont Animal Hospital in 2002 with my first puppy Gus. Gus adopted the staff instantly and I know it was because he sensed how warm, friendly and caring they were and he knew intuitively that these new friends would take good care of him whenever he came to visit. I knew he was in good hands, when I watched the staff with other pets and pet owners, taking time to dispense not only meds but more importantly taking time with each & every client to make sure the pet owner left knowing that they had everything they needed; meds, information and a team supporting them personally if they needed it. Gus & I needed this support on many occasions and they never wavered in their care & support. Marie never laughed at my latest concern or chided me when Gus put on a few extra pounds, even though she knew - I knew exactly how to keep Gus slim & trim. They supported my daughter & grandsons when Gus became terminally ill while I was away & unable to return home to take Gus in for his final visit. They called my daughter before & after Gus died; provided my grandsons books on where their Gussy went and sent detailed emails to me providing much needed support when I was so far away. Special thanks to Laurie for being there with Gussy right up to the end and to Marie who supported my daughter & her boys through it all. In a moment of madness about, 4 years after I purchased Gus, I decided Gus needed a four legged friend. So I consulted with Fairmont on how to best introduce my new little guy, Casey, into the family. The team at Fairmont provided valuable information on what I might experience as Casey integrated into his new family, what behavioural changes I might expect in Gus and how to handle those changes. The information, guidance & support I received definitely had a positive impact on how well my dogs accepted one another. The staff were always there to provide advice and any resources they could for whatever question I might have. Although Gus still ruled the roost at Fairmont it was only because of the knowledgeable staff at Fairmont that I was able to create a stress free life at home for the dogs. Sadly, when I brought Casey in for his well puppy check he was diagnosed with a heart murmur but through the excellent care, team work and support we received at Fairmont he lived a happy, bright and fun filled life. When his condition started to get worse, I again relied on their expertise to help me make the right decision for our family & Casey. Fairmont provided information as appropriate and made suggestions on what could be expected at each stage. They never forced me to make decisions or take action I wasn’t ready to and they also didn’t question my decision when I felt the time had come for Casey to go be with Gus. Thanks to Dr. Parker (fabulous addition to the Fairmont team), Laurie, and Marie who helped me through this very difficult time. This is what makes Fairmont special. They truly care about the animals and their owners and don’t see their clients as just clients, you become part of the Fairmont family. I’m sorry if this is too long for some of you but I hope you took the time to read this far and got a feel for what a fabulous clinic Fairmont Animal Hospital is and a sense of how caring and kind the people that work there are.

Since picking up our newest additions to our family only three weeks ago (two 3-month old ragdoll kittens), FAH has had their fair share of us visiting over the past three weeks. From our very first visit with our girls (which was an urgent visit required due to someone chewing a stitch out), to our most recent (a checkup to make sure all is healing well and recovering from colds), everyone at Fairmont Animal Hospital has been warm, welcoming, and patient (I’m sure they just love our visits due to the snuggles the girls like to give!!). I had spent a lot of time completing research on many (almost all) veterinarians in London, trying to find one that would suit both my husband and my needs as well as our furry friends. FAH came out at the top due to so many reasons – they are knowledgeable, understanding, and accommodating. They have been patient with me asking questions, as our resident cat is 8 years old – I’m trying to ride the bike again. I’ve appreciated all their awareness, suggestions, and would most definitely recommend them to anyone. Our previous vet was located outside of town, and came highly recommended – however due to changes in our lives, we were hoping to find the same quality, compassion, and service we were getting at our previous vet’s closer to home, and with reasonable hour; for us this is important as we can’t always get to a vet’s during 9-5 hours. I researched FAH as a friend had strongly suggested them. I can guarantee that FAH has superseded my expectations on all fronts, and I cannot thank them enough for calming a freaking out fur-momma  On our last visit, I had a billion questions, and Dr. Parker was most patient in checking the kittens over and replying to any question I had. I have never seen kittens so calm in an exam room (and its likely due to the Feliway that they use in their rooms!), but she was patient, kind, warm, and not once did I feel rushed. I was asked multiple times if I had any other questions to ask, or concerns, and I could not appreciate this more! The receipt from your visit always has a nice summary as to what has happened during your visit, and provides detailed information should you have to leave with medications. This has been super helpful! If you are looking for a vet within the London City limits, give FAH a call – it will be worth it! Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome FAH team!

One of my dogs is extremely skittish and Dr. McTavish always takes her time to ease him into the appoinment and makes the visit as enjoyable as it can be for him. Our loving dogs have been taken care of to the nth degree from all the staff, pampered by the front desk associates to getting poked and prodded by all four of their vets. I love how they take there time and explain everything the notes that Dr. Parker sends home with you is so good and helpful. They care about your pets and I highly recommend this place to everyone who want their pets to have a great experience and good care.

Our family has used Fairmont Animal hospital for 25 years. The staff is amazing, the doctors have given helpful suggestions and been the best when we needed them the most (unfortunately our pets haven't been around as long as the animal hospital). Our pets are part of our family and the staff treats them like their family members. Great thanks go to them. I recommend them every time.

I took my little guy Oliver for a check up and vaccination updates. I adopted him at age 4 months and he was around 5 months when I brought him here. I was LATE! I was 15 minutes late and they were so accommodating and still allowed Oliver to be seen. On top of being late I FORGOT his health record at home! So I messaged my husband to send me pictures of it, but had not heard. So I was not 100% certain on what vaccinations he had. As I was about to pay the bill (which was reasonably priced) and leave my husband messaged me the health records. There were a few vaccinations that were missing. They offered to make another appointment because if I waited I could be waiting a while. I said I didn't mind waiting. I waited only 10 minutes! They were so accommodating and made my feller feel right at home! We saw Dr. Connie Tuck and she was a treat and we would recommend this clinic to all!

I'm new to London and decided to take my dog in for her shots as they needed to be updated. I was a few mins late but am still learning my way around the city. They were very understanding of this. They were absolutely excellent! My dog is a rescue and because of her past does not like strangers and can become very defensive and difficult to handle. They were VERY understanding and tried a few different things to make her comfortable with the situation, where as my last vet would just muzzle her which would make her more uncomfortable. They found alternate ways and she didn't need to be muzzled. It was a great experience! I highly recommend!!!!

Amazing vet clinic! Staff is very friendly and compassionate, I love how they always come around from the front desk to greet me and my animals. They never rush to get you out the door and always take the time to thoroughly explain any "at home" care. Prices are very reasonable as well. Would 100% recommend this office to anyone.

I have multiple kitties and the staff actually went out of their way to help me find a more cost friendly product and then ordered it for me.
