Feeling a little disappointed and stuck at the moment. Just recently got a puppy and called this morning for advice on when to bring her in, etc but was unfortunately told that they weren't taking new patients due to Covid. Totally understandable but before I could ask anything else I was told that most clinics were doing this. I asked what little ones were supposed to do as they still needed vaccines etc and was told they had no idea. Very discouraging. Gave the two stars though because while my interaction was not positive, I cannot comment on the vet's care, but they do have great reviews otherwise. Update: Called other vets and this is not the case. For those looking to take their new pets somewhere there are most definitely others accepting new patients. One vet didn't have an appointment available for my puppies next set of vaccines but gave me some numbers to other clinics who are also accepting new patients. Update based on owner's response: I completely understand not accepting new patients due to Covid, but to have your receptionist state that most vets in the city is completely discouraging and in fact false. As stated, there can be no comment on the care as I did not receive any(given the current circumstances); however, you do have great reviews regarding it. The judgement placed on your facility is based on my experience with my interactions. Wishing you the best and stay safe!

Whenever I see a post on social media looking for a vet, i ALWAYS recommend this place. When my Boxer Xena was about 7month old, she had a tumor on her neck and knee. Jason and his staff were AMAZING when it came to dealing with this. The recovery process was much easier knowing we had Clark rd animal Hospital behind us. ive moved from London to Strathroy, now I live in Stratford, and still use this vet. Highly recommended

I took my rabbit here to be neutered and they were amazing. I have 2 bunnies, my first bunny I took to a vet in Waterloo to be spayed called Buck animal hospital (where I was living at the time) I moved to London for school and wanted to take my second bunny to be neutered at an affordable and trust worthy vet. The pre-surgical exam went really well, the vet explained everything in great detail and seemed to know everything there is to know which is GREAT. ***** Prices were student affordable as well ***** will definitely be taking my bunnies back in the future.

They treated my pet so well there and had a very clean office space! I was so happy with my first experience at a vet clinic with a pet of my own. 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for an affordable and great vet for your pet.

My wife and I drive across the city to bring our dog here and have never entertained the thought of going somewhere else. We've been going for 5+ years. The doctors and staff here are super nice, super knowledgable, and really care about your pet. In particular, Dr. Jason is amazing to work with and has always gone the extra mile for us as customers. Plus, after taking your dog or cat here there is a PetValu in the same plaza. We stop in afterwards to get our dog a treat for the visit. UPDATE: We've been going here for 10+ years now, even after we moved from the city we still prefer to bring our dog here. I would give this business 6 stars if I could.

I absolutely LOVE this vet. A couple of my coworkers suggested I go there with my three kitties(Addi, Lila & Mika) as I had moved away from my previous vet. My cats look forward to vet visits and love all of the staff there. I have had all 3 of them have their shots as well as get spayed there with 0 problems. The pricing is totally fair and it's not a 'get what you pay for' thing, you still get the quality. I've recommended several friends and family to go to this vet and they have all made the swap after going once as well. Seriously cannot stress enough how wonderful the receptionists, vet techs, and vet are. :)

Dr. Legacy and dr. Gerera are both very compassionate and caring. On numerous occasions they have treated my animals. They saved an infected cat tail that we were sure would need amputation. And even though our pet rat needed to be euthanized, it was handled like he was a show breed dog. No animal is too big or small.

If you are looking for a fantastic vet. This is the place to go. My whole family has been bringing their dogs here for years. They are always respectful of your feelings and nerves about your animals. They always explain what’s wrong or what’s happening in terms you can understand. "CLARKE ANIMAL HOSPITAL" . . . YOU ARE THE BEST!!! We've had "fur children" since 1986 and have come to know and work with many Vets. We first met Jason in 2002 when we took Zoe, our first rescue kitty, to him for her first check-up. He had not yet opened his own Hospital and he was working with two other Vets. Thanks to fate, he was the one we were scheduled to see that day!! Well, from then on, he was the ONLY Vet to whom we would take our "fur children!" And, he is THE BEST VET WE'VE EVER HAD!!! When we heard that Jason was going to open his own practice we were ecstatic!! The only problem was that, ethically, he could not tell us where he was going to be. And, he didn't! So, we had to literally "hunt him down!" Every couple of days we'd get on the CVO website to see if his new practice was registered yet. When we "found him" in 2008 we were one of his first clients. Since then we've referred, without hesitation, many, many others to him. Jason is: honest (yet not fear-mongering!), patient, relaxed, thorough, up-to-date on all of the latest "info," gentle, proactive, sincere, caring, focused, really really smart and always reassuring. And, he never talks down to you! When you're at an appointment and he is with you in the Examining Room, your "fur child" is his prime concern. He never rushes you. And, before the appointment is over, he always asks "Do you have any (more) questions?" And no matter how many you might have, or how many clients are in the waiting room, he will answer each and every one of them for you! He doesn't walk out of that Examining Room until you are satisfied with, and clear about, your "fur child's" condition and treatment plan! There have been many, many occasions that we've called with an Emergency with one of our "kids" and Jason always fits us in. In fact, on two occasions he saved one of their lives!! The first was when one of our Westies contracted "Leptospirosis." Without his swift "first responder" actions, our little Westie girl would not have been with us for many more years!!! The second was very recent. This time he again saved one of our rescues - our little 9-yr old Westie boy. After listening to his symptoms and examining him, Jason immediately "pegged" the problem as a foreign object that our boy had swallowed. He was put on IV fluids, antibiotics, had blood tests ordered and x-rays taken. These actions stabilized our little boy until we got him to the VEC in Toronto. Thanks to Jason we brought him home safe and sound 3 days later - and without the rubber stool foot he had found somewhere and swallowed! As demonstrated in both of the above situations, Jason will refer you, when necessary, to a Specialist. We trust his judgement implicitly and if he tells us we need to get one of our "kids" to the VEC in Toronto, off we go! You can be assured that if this occurs, by the time you arrive, he will already have spoken with, and forwarded all of the necessary medical history on to, the Specialist. But, as much as we trust and respect Jason, a Vet alone does not an outstanding hospital make. Every member of the Staff - Carla, Sheila, Sarah, Sam, Ally & Miranda - are just as wonderful! They always go "above and beyond" in order to ensure your "fur kid" is well taken care of! Our dogs and cats ARE our children and there is no other Vet Hospital we would ever think of bringing them to when a Vet visit is necessary. We consider the Staff part of our family; and they treat us as if we are a member of theirs. Thank you to everyone at CLARKE ANIMAL HOSPITAL! We can never thank you enough for the AMAZING care, concern and compassion shown to our "kids" every time we visit you!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

We had a very hard time finding a vet that knew anything about our dwarf hamster and that wouldn't make fun of us for spending money on something so cheap. The staff and vet at Clarke Animal Hospital were extremely kind and open to seeing our hammy. They were very reasonably priced and their office was so clean and welcoming. As much as I love the online reviewing system, it definitely has its flaws. Such as in this case, where an individual has never met us, seen our facility or has seen how smoothly and effectively we function in our day-to-day operations. Ms. Pietrzyk, I have checked our client database more then once and you are not a client of ours. I question whether or not you are even reviewing the correct animal hospital as all of our emergency and "life saving" drugs are kept on-site 24 hours a day, year round. And, with all due respect, I do not think a "life saving" drug would be very effective if you had to order it and wait some time for it to arrive. With all of this said, I trust and hope your pet has received this drug and is doing well. Although many procedures we perform do have their inherent risk, including taking a blood sample, we always strive to minimize this risk. I feel this animal hospital, separates all others, I used to go to another veterinarian with our other pets and they were caring and good especially when we had to put our dog to sleep, but it got to the point where you were just a number and were waiting a very long time even when you had a set appointment I would have to book the day off of work. I moved to London from PEI in August, 2020 and met Dr. Jason through a friend. I had two dogs when I moved here. A 14.5 year old and a 2 year old. My 14.5 year old had some minor health issues. Dr. Jason took us in and gave him the very best care. He was so amazing with him and assured me every step of the way. After his minor surgery things were going amazing. Suddenly February 28, 2021 he had a seizure. I had to take him to the emergency vet and make the most difficult decision for me but the one that was best for him. I had to say goodbye to my best friend who I had been rescued by 13.5 years ago. It was ZERO fault of Dr. Jason. He had a suspected brain tumor that he showed no signs of. The next day Dr. Jason called me. He cried with me, he apologised to me for not catching it, we BOTH knew there was no way to ever ever suspect it. He assured me that I made the right decision. He informed me that he would have done the same thing if Spike was his. He assured me that he would have came to the same conclusion of the emergency vet. He assured me that Spike had a good life, was a happy dog, that he saw this enough to believe that Spike did not feel pain during his seizure. He told me how sorry he was, if I even just needed to talk, to not think twice about calling him. A couple of days went by and I needed to talk. He called me right back, he talked to me for 45 minutes, again making me feel better when I felt awful. Dr. Jason made the darkest time of my life, have a little bit of light when I needed it the most. He has since had my two year old in and has yet again given us the very best care we could ever have. If you need a vet, and a friend, Dr. Jason and his team are the very best there is.

I am beyond pleased with the service I have received/continue to receive from the team at Clarke Animal Hospital. The staff are friendly and wonderful and they truly care about our furbabies while handling all questions and concerns with compassion and grace. As for Dr. Jason, well he is simply amazing. He is so gentle, kind and patient to all pets equally-guinea pigs, birds, cats or dogs-and he is truly respectful and caring of that pet's emotional wellbeing during the appointments when we are unable to comfort/be there for ourselves due to COVID-19; in those moments OUR furbabies become HIS furbabies. Dr. Jason is always willing to fully explain any health issues and best course of treatments and, in extreme circumstances, outline which treatments should come first if multiple heath issues occur at once. I also appreciate Dr. Jason's humility and the willingness and openess to consider out-of-the-box solutions-it's always about what is best for the animal and not his ego. The business itself, is conveniently located near other amenities in case you wish to remain near your pet during procedures/surgeries and there is lots of free parking and convenient bus transportation. The cost for services/medications/food) is very competitive and fair and most medicine is available at time of appointment. After a horrifyingly traumatic experience at another clinic, I chose Clarke Rd based on the reviews. I couldn't be happier with that decision. The staff are very friendly and understanding, and Dr Jason is so kind, and so gentle with our cat Bruce. I think it was harder on me than Bruce to face going to a vet again, but the staff and Jason made it a great experience. Thank you SO much, from both of us!!

Just got ripped off big time. I was treated rudely and charged over $351.16 for a $62.00 bloodwork and $248.76 for Nexguard Chewables that I can get anywhere for between $30 and $60. $40.40 Cents HST as well. From the wind and traffic and people walking by outside where we paid there was no way to really pay attention. I thought there were more tment'ss included in bill. Be very Leary and always pay attention to your invoices before paying. I called for a half hour right after to ask questions and they ignored ne.

Amazing vet with amazing vet techs!! My boy can be reactive and does NOT enjoy his visits to the vet, however, all the vet techs and Dr.Jason do the VERY BEST they can to make him feel comfortable. Dr.Jason will literally spend 5-10 mins just playing with zeus before he even gets to the exam just so zeus can feel comfortable. It truly shows the compassion he has and the girls just adore him too! thank you so much for treating him like any other dog! a previous vet we went to did not treat him the same due to his breed.
