We just put my childhood dog down, but this was the vet we used throughout her whole life. Dr D was great as we dealt with her diabetes and he was great when it was our last moments with her. This is the one vet that I trust not to take advatantage of humans who love their animals and charge exobinant prices. I am grateful we had this vet throughout our Marley's life. On July 4th, 2019, I took my small dog for the annual vaccine. That was the first time also that’ll be the last time to visit Clinique Vétérinaire De Mtl. The doctor just listened to the heartbeat and gave one sting, without any explanation. He spend, in total, maximum three (3) minutes on my dog. He charged me sixty seven dollars ($67,00). The point is not about the amount of money, but the very poor service of that veterinary. I’m so disappointed and therefore, I do not recommend this vet.

I highly do not recommend taking your pets to this vet. My dog was experiencing a lot of bruising after his operation and veterinaire salaberry was closed, therefore we visited the 440 animal hospital. The vet at 440 told us the stitches were too tight, causing swelling and discomfort and that the stitches had to be redone. We arrived Sunday at veterinaire salaberry at 9 am ( as their opening hours are 9-11am on sundays) to find a sign on the door saying they were closed.. I came in to veterinaire salaberry today and spoke to the secretary about the situation of my dog and told her I wanted to speak to the vet. She responded that he’s not the talkative type, which I found strange and then continued to rummage through files in order to find mine for the next 10 min. Then the vet showed up to the front and rudely said ‘everything that happens post operation is not his problem’. Excuse me, but aren’t you a vet and supposed to care about what happens to animals post op? Most vets recommend you call them if anything persists, but he rudely said it’s not his problem and everything is normal and to come back next week and he will not redo the stitches on my dog. As I was replying to him why it’s not his problem, and why should I come next week when they originally told me to come back this week, he simply just left the room. I’ve never experience such a rude veterinary that simply does not care about the client nor the pet and disregards his clients this way.

Le lendemain, je suis partie chez un autre vétérinaire et ils m'ont dit que mon chaton allait mourir et qu'il avait une maladie mortelle dès sa naissance. Je déconseille fortement cette clinique

Worst experience ever, terrible bed side manner. My dog was starting to be lethargic so we brought him in for a checkup, automatically it was arthritis, to which the Dr gave him shots intended for horse. They seemed to work at first, but even going back month over month they didn’t do much. Also, he noted the small bumps we felt as fatty deposits not to be worried about. A day came that he stopped eating, and after trying for two days to give even just treats to no avail we presented ourselves in a state of panic at the clinic. Upon walking in the Dr was in the lobby discussing with his secretary, we quickly tried to explain the current situation and we’re snapped at with “I don’t see walk ins, I’m going to surgery, too bad”. The secretary suggested we go to the Laval emergency. Within 2 days, we discovered he had a mass, needed to have it operated at significant cost, then that part ruptured and he was turning septic. Finally we had to take a devastating decision to not prolong his pain as there was less then a 10% chance of survival. All of this to say, it was completely avoidable if more time and attention had been paid at first, instead of making blind diagnosis.

Brought my puppy here to get him fixed. When I picked him up the vet was nowhere to be found a secretary had to tell me how to take care of of for the next 10 days and gave me medicine. Not the vet. Couple days later my dog stayed getting bruises around the area of operation (normal) but we were scared anywyas so went to our vet (reason we dodnt choose our vet was due to wait lists) she looked at the stitches and said that she was extremely worried it looks like an amateur stitched him up. Stitches were extremely tight causing pain and swelling. I'm so frustrated and worried about my dog now. Never will I being any animal here ever again.
