Old doctor was good but new doctor is horrible and very unprofessional and untrained. Went there for a spay on my cat and the IV cathater was never placed (which should 100% always be done) which we payed for, and signed off that it would be placed. When questioned she said that the cat was "too wiggily" never go here as the doctors do not know anything. Staff and old doctors used to be awesome but this has changed very much in the past 2 months. New doctor fired all old staff and has gotten cheaper people to come in who know nothing.

Hi I took my dog in to get a boil on his leg fixed up and they prescribed some pills for him and waited 2 weeks with nothing happing. I called and asked questions regarding what to do and never heard back. 200 later my dog still had the boil on his leg..

Horrible doctor. Reception was friendly however the doctor didn’t speak English well, couldn’t explain anything to me and had no recommendations other then meds and IV antibiotics. Very pushy with treatment (unnecessary treatment) it really felt like they were just trying to get as much money from us as possible. I took my 5month old puppy in because she was having diarrhea for 2 days and I was worried. Our usual vet isn’t open on Sundays so I decided to see this vet to make sure our puppy was ok. We have taken our puppy in to see our usual vet multiple times before for her shots and other things and has always been calm and super easy going with everything that needs to be done. This vet was super aggressive and forceful with my puppy to the point where she was yelping/crying like crazy. He was not gentle and not kind. Horrible experience with the vet would never recommend and will never ever go back. We got out of there very quickly and took her into our vet the next day and she was fine. starting giving her pumpkin and it’s working like a charm no antibiotics needed possibly picked up a bug from puddle water. Avoid Murrayville Vet !!!!

Dr. Ahlawat is amazing! I have been to many vets in my life and as a French Bulldog and Abyssinian Cat breeder, one would have even more experience with going to vets regularly. I have decided to switch vets to now have Dr. Ahlawat at Murrayville vet clinic be my regular go to vet for all of my animals as I used to go to another clinic before. Dr. Ahlawat is caring, hands on, and is extremely quick with getting back to you for questions as well as test results. I am thoroughly impressed with him and highly recommend him. I am so happy that I found this clinic as I happily made the switch over and will not look back. Thank you Dr. Ahlawat for your great service.

My Boston terrier/japanese chin tore her duclaw. She screamed so loud! I thought she broke her arm. This happened at 3:30pm and by 6:30pm the same day she was put under, and they removed the broken duclaw. They allowed me to choose the best option that fit my budget... And educated me on some other things she could potentially need done in the future with no pressure. It's day 2 and she has healed up tremendously... Almost like nothing's wrong. Thank you!!! My dog and I appreciate your timely help. Definitely will be back when we need in the future. Reasonable prices as well.

I haven't even met this vet and he's already done an incredible job! We rescued a dog that had already been through two homes. The first was abusive and the second was misguided in her intentions and went to a naturopathic vet. The poor pup was never diagnosed with the spinal injuries he'd sustained and was living in pain for 2+ years. This vet knew there was a problem with his spine BEFORE he'd even had a chance to X-ray or examine him (fear aggression) ... just based off the pup's gait. He does such incredible work for rescue agencies and clearly adores his charges. If I didn't live so far away (North Vancouver), I'd go to him myself!

I had to take my youngest cat here a couple years ago when he became very ill. He ended up needing to stay & be hospitalized for multiple days. I cannot say enough for how great all the office & vet techs were both with my cat, the urgency of the situation as well as putting up with my check-ins. They are more than fairly priced - the vet (I believe) works 7 days a week and it show just how committed they are to ensuring everyone can access vet care for their pets. Always fast to get you in for an appointment, kind caring, affordable and willing to help. Our other cat will be going in for dental surgery with them on Monday.

I'm thrilled with the care and service at this vet's! Recently one of my dog's ate a toy that ended up stuck in her stomach and small intestine. The staff at Murrayville Animal Hospital got her in quick, the vet diagnosed her after x-rays and made arrangements for surgery that day. I'm so happy to say that she has made a full recovery and is back to her normal self in just over a week. I'll be forever grateful to the vet and staff of this hospital and will be recommending them when anyone asks.

Today my little female Dachshund was stung by a wasp and was in quite a bit of pain. We took her to the Murrayville Animal Clinic. As several times before we obtained an appointment immediately although it was a Saturday. The doctor was very busy but he found time to see my dog and gave her a shot against pain and another one against allergies, to avoid a possible anaphylactic shock. Thank you so much Dr. Ahlawat for always being there for us! Other than the emergency clinic no other vet would have helped on such short notice and on a weekend. I also want to thank the vet's assistant. I don't know her name (forgot to ask) but without her this would not have been possible. Thank you very much for your kindness.

I have taken my pups here plenty of times, the experience was the usual...nothing to rave about or anything. I usually find Dr. Virender Ahlawat to be very matter of fact and not overly empathetic. My Pomeranian began to have skin issues as they do, very common... and you would think a vet would be familiar with this. Unfortunately I had to go back and forth with him for 2 years over this and it not going away. At first he told me it was puppy uglies and it would grow in over time. I did not know this at the time but at a year old he's already changed coats and it's not that. I went to another vet for a second opinion and found this out and also had a blood test done along with an allergy test as they were more helpful there and also empathetic. When I went back to my vet with the allergy test conclusion I was ready to change his food but I wanted to check on a conditioner or shampoo I could get for him to help. I was told to get another blood test done by them....and I said no because why? It's been done. And they had no options to recommend for additional treatments. He said I could see a dermatologist specialist and I had to ask him over and over to recommend the specialist. Finally, after so long now... I have seen the specialist. They put him on omegas and melatonin as he has alopecia x plus a skin rash. They emailed my vet (Murray ville) with the recommendation and after they failed to return my calls, bring my order in, or get back to me at all.... I went back to the specialist out of Boundary Bay vet and they were amazing. Got me my stuff and my fur baby is on the mend. I am changing vets now :) thanks to Boundary Bay vet for being awesome!! And a big thumbs down for Murray ville Vet....your lack in customer service and empathy needs to be worked on big time.

I took my sweet orange kitty here after he was bitten and hurt by another cat. My regular vet wouldn't see him without an appointment despite him having a large open wound. Murrayville took my boy right away, were kind and tender with him, and the bill was reasonable. They even called after the surgery, and before his drain is scheduled to be taken out, just to see how he's doing and if he's taking the medications well. Professional, warm-hearted staff, excellent pet care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. As a sidenote: the enormous resident ginger cat walked up to my boy's cat-taxi to chirp gently at him and touch noses through the grate. Even the nurse-kitty is caring and attentive.

The manager, Jasveen, is rude and unprofessional, constantly makes you feel small, and so unorganized. She would belittle her staff and never took any constructive criticism - she will accuse you of undermining her if you even suggest anything to her. She will remind you of who the manager is here and the fact that it’s not you. The work environment is so toxic. There was no communication between anyone working there and everyone would tell me different protocols for working there. The doctor does not care for the animals at all and I’ve witnessed staff and doctors HIT YOUR PETS while they’re in the back. Dr. Ahlawat does not put any passion into his work and it’s sickening as an aspiring veterinary doctor. He sits in his isolation room and expects the techs to do pretty much everything. All he cares about is the money, not the quality of care your pet is getting. They claim they will provide support for their staff but yell at them while they're still learning. I do not recommend taking your pet here AT ALL.

HORRIBLE CLINIC. Last two visits at this vet have been a nightmare. Be kind to your animals and take them elsewhere! Dr. is uncaring and has no empathy. I called the cremation company and found out that the girls had LIED to me even more than I had known about. What's the purpose of the lies????????? and asking me if I wanted a bill? Time to give Revenue Canada a call along with the Veterinary Association. Pretty disgusting when the girl starts laughing and Dr. does nothing about it. Nothing but heartache dealing with Murrayville Animal Hospital.

Horrible! Vet gives misinformation and does not care. He told me my dog had hip dysplasia and then said he never said that. My dog suffered for 5 months because I trusted what this guy told me. I have now found a vet that cares and explains what is going on with my boy. Thank god! I have never had such a horrible experience with a vet in all my years of having dogs. Stay clear of this place!!!

I wanted to say a huge thank you to the amazing team at Murrayville Animal Hospital! We rescued a feral cat living on our farm that was deteriorating in health. Upon rescuing the kitty, Murrayville Animal Hospital was absolutely incredible in their willingness to rehabilitate our new kitty. Zach had to live at the hospital for almost 2 months, while he was diligently and slowly nursed back to health by the wonderful staff. The care they gave him was just the best, I cannot recommend this vet hospital enough. If you are looking for a vet that actually cares, provides fantastic service, and is staffed by wonderful people who truly care about animals, Murrayville Animal Hospital is the place to come to! Zach is now home safe and sound, and will have a wonderful life as an indoor cat, and it's all thanks to Murrayville Animal Hospital.

Horrible Experience! Our regular vet is closed Sundays so we went to this vet and really regret it, our sweet yellow lab had to suffer unnecessarily. He told us that she had something wrong with her salivary gland and would most likely need 2 surgeries, the first to remove the gland and the second to drain the blood from her ear, he made an attempt to shave the area but his clipper was not working properly so he gave up and said she didn't really need to be shaved. He prescribed 3 types of meds and a cone and told us to come back in 5 days. She continued to get worse and her infection rapidly spread across her face and neck (almost into her eye). After 2 days of her laying on her bed crying and barely moving, we took her to our regular vet and she was diagnosed with a hot spot. Our vet shaved the area and prescribed completely different meds, he also recommended no cone because it was irritating the area by rubbing on it. I'm happy to say that within hours of seeing our regular vet she started to recover and within only 2 days she was back to her regular self. When I called the Murrayville Animal Hospital to express my concern, the vet tried to say that he told us he thought it was a hot spot, he NEVER said that, and why would he prescribe the wrong meds and not shave the area if he thought it was a hot spot?! Please don't bring your pet to this vet!

I took my litter here all of them were sick. Honestly the best staff in the world, one Of the staff members has been contacting me directly even on her days off when the clinic was closed to the public for the holiday. It really eases my mind to know my Little ones are getting great medical attention but also the staff Who generally love animals, and are honestly so helpful! I’m always so sceptical about vets and who to use but I’m really really satisfied with this vet. And I’d have to be to travel as far as I do! Thanks to him my babies will ALL live, where many vets in the past have not been able to save them befor. He also isn’t money hungry he really does his best for he good of the animal. If your looking for a vet I can confidently say look no further Becuase he is the best of the best, will a stellar staff group. Honestly a litter of pups is hard to take care of, they are screaming every time I go in, and the staff have such a smile on their face as they are going each on individual attention. I call about three times a day and they are all more hen accommodating and understanding with giving me updates. Again I really can’t stress enough how good the staff is, I’m still in awe she went out of her way to contact me on her day off when the clinic wasn’t open to the public Becuase she knew how much I stressed for the updates, she also offered to get the report done for insurance that wasn’t sent in from HOME! 10/10. A’s you can tell from My lengthy review I consider this place , top quality services and health care. This is my first time using them and they really really have been amazing for the whole experience !

Don't go there. I know vets are expensive, but this was ridiculous. My dog was attacked by a raccoon and they wouldn't even look at him until I'd signed all the papers. So he puts him in back and all I can hear is him crying and instead of giving him some pain meds he was out front asking for a $200 deposit. Should have taken him elsewhere.

Last year 2019, I had a good experience with my dogs neutering and dental cleaning. I was sent home with not many aftercare instructions though. This year I brought my other dogs in for her spaying and my experience was not good. They tried to over charge me (higher than their highest quote) for what was a routine spay and dental cleaning. Without notice they charged me for a 2 second check up. I am not impressed and have choice to go elsewhere for future vet needs.

I took my dog to this vet after he was attacked and the vet and assistant were awesome. As soon as we got there he gave him pain medication right away. They were very good with him, gave us a quote and started surgery right away. When it was finished it was more of a surgery than they thought and they still honoured the original quote. You can tell this vet generally cares about helping animals, which is rare to find sadly. My dog is doing very good and it’s a miracle he’s alive, thanks to the vet. I will definitely keep coming to this vet and referring murrayville vet clinic.

Worst place I ever phoned to bring my dog in for consultation. Receptionist asked for records for previous vet half hour before we arrived! Caĺled back and receptionist was confused why I was calling to check if they received records. If you have any sense stay away from this confusing vet with your animals!

Then I was charged extra fees for spaying. had to take uterus to another vet to prove cat was not pregnant. proven. will not return. please stick with a vet you know or have recommendations from, as I learnt my lesson.

Money grab No upfront pricing Steer clear of this place Prices are in the vets head They really kept trying to stick my pet with an I V even though the animal was fine. Kept telling us to come back, wouldn’t talk with us and discuss what was wrong with our animal, they just said come back tomorrow for more tests and iv and pain meds. I really should have taken my pet to another vet to get blood tested to see if they even gave her anything.

The neighbour's cat came to my front door and beat up my cat. I didn't know he had an abscess until he scratched off the scab. He needed a covnenia injection (antibiotics), but my regular vet wasn't available. Murrayville Animal Hospital charged me $115.00 plus tax for convenia. My regular vet charges $48.00 for it. Their mark-up was $67.00 more than my regular vet. They also charged me a bio-waste disposal fee: $3.85. Never heard of a bio-waste disposal fee.

He offers a staff member who is on call to be with my dogs if they have to stay overnight for an extra charge. Its so well worth it to me! Do NOT take your dog here to be put down. We took our pug of 14 years, Lucy, to this vet to be put down. The Vet was deceitful and very unkind/unprofessional. Read below for full story. We have been dog owners for many years and have had to go through this before, so we know the procedure. When we arrived, we were notified that we would not be allowed in the room when Lucy was euthanized because of Provincial health “guidelines,” but this was not communicated beforehand. Further, the reasoning of the Provincial guidelines is just not true- as I had phoned other vets who said we could absolutely be in the room, and had read the current guidelines for Animal Health. We told him we would like a refund to go to a different vet we had spoken to, but suddenly he could make a “special exception” for us.. Further, the vet facilitating the procedure was extremely insensitive. At one point, when I asked him where I should stand for the procedure through tears, he said “Look, you need to calm down.” He remained deeply insensitive and non-communicative the whole time. The only communication we received was that our dog was likely going to have “phantom breaths” after procedure which was something we had never heard of before. It was just not a good experience. We have had to put our dogs down in the past. All the vets were all deeply empathetic and communicative about how the procedure would go. We did love going to this vet, and had found it to be a great place to take our dogs. But after this experience, we won’t go back, and I would highly encourage folks needing to put their dog down to do it at another vet.

My dog started acting strangely after eating a piece of gum. The staff acted swiftly to understand my concern and alert the doctor. Immediate action was taken to get my dog check out. Dr. Varinder Ahliwat kept us in the loop during the entire procedure and explained how it will affect her system. Dr. VA is an intelligent and caring individual who has my full trust to take care of my Toby. Two weeks after I got my other doggy neutered and Dr. VA gave him the nicest looking stitches I have ever seen. Toby loves Dr.VA he is the dog whisperer and Dr. Dolittle in one. I heard a lady there describe him as the Gordon Ramsy of the veterinary world.

This doctor is amazing! I have never met a vet who is so honest and compassionate about his work!! He is very cost friendly, incredibly kind and patient. My cats were always so stressed when they go to a vet office; they hiss, growl and have even scratched some staff at previous clinics before. Not once, did any of my cats feel stressed or agitated when they saw Dr. Ahlawat and his staff. He has a way with animals and a kind of sincerity that really shows in his work. I know my pets are in good hands when I come to Murrayville and refuse to take my pets anywhere else! Dr.Ahlawat, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for all of your kindness, love and hard work!!
