We offer you all the information of real people like you who are buying the services of Apex Animal Hospital (Veterinarian) in the area of Langley (Canada).
Now this firm gets a score of 3.6 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 96 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings is very positive, and it is founded on a large number of opinions, so we may conclude that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian belongs to the category of Animal hospital.
I would like to start by saying that the technician Stephanie was very nice and patient with my very anxious dog and this is no way a reflection on her at all. The "doctor" was ignorant, rude, unprofessional and ROUGH with my 3 year old aussie shep/husky cross who is unfortunately a very anxious and skiddish dog therefor did not want to be touched by the vet. Instead of being patient with him he muzzled him (he would NEVER bite, but I can understand the reasoning behind this) and implied he was STUPID saying he should be put into training to learn how to "sit" He knows how to sit asswipe, he's just terrified of you coming at him. Will not be returning to this vet clinic EVER!
I've had the pleasure of visiting the Apex Animal Hospital for 15+ yrs. The entire staff has always been extremely professional . Have always been able to accommodate. .... even on short notice. I trust them completely and have found them to be more than competitive. I certainly will continue to recommend them to anyone that is searching for competent and professional service.
Our Weimaraner was running with the end of a stick in her mouth, and it caught on the ground and went 30 cms down her throat and puncturing her esophagus. Dr Rana saved her life through several operations, drainage tubes in her neck, and the use of a feeding tube through her nose. 3 weeks later, she is back on solid foods, and eating normally again. I would highly recommend him without any reservations.
I have been going here for years, but stopped recently because it seems like Dr. Rana cares only about the money. I had multiple instances when one of my dogs got sick and Dr. Rana recommended expensive procedures that, when asked for a second opinion from other doctors, were completely unnecessary. This place is okay for a brief visit for something minor such as getting a vaccine or a brief check up, but for everything else I would recommend another doctor.
Dr. Rana is one of the most knowledgeable and hardest working rabbit vets we've ever been to. He will always see a sick animal in need no matter what the hour. His spay/neuter record with our hundreds of rabbits is excellent. Highly recommended.
Our puppy broke his leg in multiple places, this was a long 6 month experience, Apex was great in treating him, pricing was the best I found in the area, and Dr Rana was really understanding and helpful with us. I recommend consult with them in any case...
Dr. Rana, Stephanie, and the team are just wonderful. My poor rescue hedgehog’s eye enucleated (he’s been with me for a year and I don’t know much about his medical history) and he needed eye-removal surgery and they were so understanding and efficient, even when I was so sad and upset, patiently explained everything, and even phoned me back when I had follow-up questions after 7:00 PM, which was so nice and made me feel more confident. I recently moved from Richmond to Langley and it’s hard to find a vet knowledgeable about hedgehogs, and I found out that all the surgeries from my previous vet are actually referred to Apex anyway! I really recommend them.
We have been going to Dr Rana for over 10yrs now, he has help us so much and has been so caring to all of our dogs. We will not go to anyone else. He is the best.
I had never taken my rabbit to the vet before, but found online that Dr. Rana was recommended as a good bunny vet. I was very nervous but Dr. Rana and his staff were very helpful and professional, on time, got me an appointment very quickly, and provided good care. I will definitely return for any other needs of my animals :)
Ok so i know from a lot of people’s experience that he was pretty rough with their dogs, personally with my 6 month old bernese he was great! We got him neutered and chipped and all was well when ever we take my other dogs for shots he is always super nice, even when we take our cats. My bernese has a bit of trust issues and is very hyper but he was gentle with him.
Dr. Dilbad Rana is very skillful and caring also.
Let's start off by the first impression.... Recently I adopted a dog and have been researching vets to go to. I call the vet to get his opinion about treatment for heart worms. For one the vet was very rude over the phone. Second he told me "why would you bother adopting a pet with heart worms?" Third he even picked up a personal phone call on his cell phone half way through the conversation. To say the least I was livid and he didn't even care about my situation nor gave any advice. How are you supposed to build your business by treating people this way the first time you call for just a bit of information? I highly suggest not going to this clinic for its poor sense of ethics and human/pet compassion. Worst vet award goes to....
When I started coming to Apex Animal Hospital 4 years ago, it was because it was closer to me than my other vet office. What I found was not only a closer office, but a very caring staff and a veterinarian who actually spent time with me as opposed to taking a quick look at my dog and out. Dr.Rana spent time with me explaining procedures by bringing me into his office and showing me the textbook. I was very impressed by this. As an RN, I am very cautious of the vet care my dog receives. After Dr.Rana saved the life of my female Cocker Spaniel, I was hooked.
Dr Rana is an awesome vet. He is very reasonable in what he charges and is very generous with his time. He also helps out a lot of rescues which i love.
I am happy with the care of their staffs.
One of the smartest doctors I have ever met! Never have I seen such kindness and compassion towards clients & their pets.
I came here; the attending doctor performed a thorough diagnosis and offered some medicine for the poor animal that truly worked like a wonder.
I appreciate the calm quiet environment. I visited when my pet was quite ill and I was in distress. The vets and assistants were calm and helpful. Thank you for your understanding
I called for a last minute service as my regular vet wasn't available and recommended Dr Rana. Apex fit me in right away even though I hadn't been a prior client. The vet tech was nice, accommodating and professional. The vet was also nice and had great bedside manner. Thank you so much for your help.
Dr Rana and his support staff Stephanie and Lindsay were very kind and compassionate this past weekend. We had to rush our family's 11 year old shepherd to Apex as she collapsed in our driveway. We found this hospital with a quick search of the Internet and I'm so glad we did. Dr Rana provided as much information as he possibly could to help us make a very important decision. Unfortunatley, Tessa didn't leave the hospital with us and we had to say our goodbyes. During such a stressful and emotional time you don't remember or hear everything being said. We appreciate that Dr Rana took the time after his clinic had already closed to type up a synopsis of our dog's poor health. We have read it many times in the last three days to remind us that it was her time to go, as it is only natural to second guess a life ending decision. Thank you again Apex Hospital. The Martin Feiertag Family
Dr. Rana repaired a primary cleft palate & lip on one of my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppies. I was so impressed with Dr. Rana's skills, experience and results, words cannot express how grateful I am for him and his staff. As a breeder it is important that I have a vet with the skills, experience, knowledge and professionalism to work with me, my dogs and puppies. Dr. Rana and his staff continue to delivery the best for me and my dogs. I highly recommend Apex Animal Hospital as your Veterinarian of choice. When it comes to anything surgical and you are looking for a second opinion, don't hesitate to make an appointment to see Dr. Rana. Thank-you again Dr. Rana and staff at Apex Animal Hospital for your care and support. Couple pictures of "Cliff" the night before surgery and after.
MISLEADING INFORMATION! I called this place this morning, Nov 7th, and wanted to get my leopard gecko examined as you can tell he was thinner and his eyes were closed. And they said they don't care for reptiles, BUT their website says different. " We are proud to provide care for exotic pets including rodents, hedgehogs, reptiles and birds." Never coming here.
Took my rabbits PatPat and Tofu to Dr. Rana. Found him to be gentle and thorough with handling and examination. The staff are also friendly and nice.
Do not go here if you care about your pet
Great vet that helped me on very short notice with a very sick rabbit. He was excellent.
He is a really great vet and very caring with the animals. All the front staff is very friendly and make extra efforts to help you out. His pricing is very affordable and appreciated.
Feelings of immense gratitude towards a human being for saving an animal's life are almost impossible to express in words. I am compelled to do so in order to thank and congratulate Dr. Rana and the other doctors and nurses at Apex animal hospital for saving Otto's life. Dr. Rana saved Otto's life and gave my children hope to believe in life's positive force.
Never go there. They are not professional and have little knowledge of the field. Asked them about simple questions but after I investigated to other hospitals, friends and internet, those were not corrected.
Dr Rana and his team at Apex Animal Hospital are spectacular! My cat was hit by a car and had her jaw broken in 4 different places. Another hospital in Vancouver quoted us double the amount that Dr. Rana quoted us for her surgery. He and his team really went above and beyond for my cat, allowing her to stay overnight after her surgery and answering our countless questions about her post-surgery care. It has been months since her surgery and they are still answering questions for us. It is evident how much everyone there cares about the animals with them and my cat is doing great with her newly healed jaw! Really a fantastic vet and team, I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking veterinary care for their beloved pet.
They pulled my dogs teeth without permission. Tried to bill me $2500. Do not go here. They've gone significantly downhill over the last few years.
Apex Animal hospital provides veterinary care. I do recommend all.
Years ago Dr. Rana diagnosed one of my schnauzers who was 10 months old with megaesophagus after 2 other vets missed it. He was able to do the barium x-rays right away, and he recognized the symptoms of this very rare problem. As a result our little Remmy got to live for 3 full and happy years, when he otherwise was getting dangerously close to starving to death as a puppy. Now my other schnauzer is almost 16 years old and had to have work done that I was unable to afford, I was also afraid to put her under anesthesia for dental work because of her age. Dr. Rana said she had a strong heart and she would do just fine, and she did! She has never had such a smooth dental procedure (most times she reacts very anxiously to being put under). My little sweetheart is not out of the woods yet, but I know that Dr. Rana is doing everything he can to help her, even beyond what my budget allows. Anyone who says that vets only care about money have not met Dr. Rana. I hope that good karma can pay him back for what I was unable to pay. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Dr Rana is a true professional. I had my Cat at another vet and was going to have to put him down because I could not afford the surgery. Dr Rana made the surgery affordable and put me on a payment plan. Super friendly vet techs and a great atmosphere. You can tell everyone there wants what’s best for you and your animals. Wish I could rate higher. :)
The doctor seemed blunt, ignored what I told him I thought the problem was and was rough when handling. He gave no warning before he took my rats temperature and because the thermometer was so big she struggled greatly. she is now acting even worse than before I took her.
HORRIBLE, NEVER GO HERE! From what I've seen and heard in reviews, and then I had a friend get this exact same UNACCEPTABLE service I was shocked. This place needs to shut down, they have ZERO RESPECT for animals and people who care for them. Grow up Apex Animal Hospital, do what you intended to do or STOP! I urge all reading this to NEVER CONSIDER this animal care center.
Dr. Rana genuinely cares for all animals, you can tell, he's not in this for the money, for that you'll always have our business and our respect, don't ever change!
My dog got warts which began block his ear. A vet that had already charged me $800 told me to see a surgeon and expect to pay $3,500 - $4,000 to have the ear totally closed. Dr. Rana removed the warts and saved the ear for less than $1000. He followed that with 5 checkups where he cleaned the ear and did not charge anything. Dr. Rana offers excellent value for the money and demonstrates great service.
We for many years, had a high opinion of Apex Animal Hospital. We have had 3 cats neutered there and the year before last our senior dog was laid to rest there. I always found them to be compassionate and reasonable (they even gave us payment options in the past) Today I took a senior pet there because she was suffering and although I had called and informed them in advance I couldn't pay until tomorrow was told to come in. After a quick examination from Dr. Rana, we were refused service and now our pet will suffer another night until my pay day tomorrow. If it was our first visit there I might expect that treatment but I am horrified at the cold refusal of service. I will never take another pet there. I fully understand the business perspective however I find the lack of compassion repugnant! If you want someone who is compassionate towards the suffering of your pet... do NOT go to Apex.
I absolutely love this place! Dr. Rana and his staff are caring and really helpful in very aspect. :)
DON'T GO THERE IF YOU HAVE A BIRD. My poor parrot had been throwing up all night, took him there because it was the only clinic in the area that apparently treats bird. The man doesn't know a thing about birds. We had to wait for ages despite having an appointment. Dr.Rana finally came in, asked if he bites, I said he does. Went to look for a towel. Took like half an hour "looking for it", I could hear he took some personal calls, brought a dirty towel with cat hair, grabbed him, felt him up, just said his crop was empty. Prescribed some metronidazole. Said he was going to get it and we'd give the first dose together. Took another half hour +, we went out to look for him. He never came back, instead we were told by another person that the medicine was up front. They were just going to have me pay and leave, so I asked if we were going to give the first dose together as he had said. The woman up front (who was nice) has no training in bird handling, couldn't give to him. I had to wrap him and she gave him part of it and he threw it up immediately. The doctor came, zero compassion just said to try giving him the medicine again when I got home. Useless. Next day took him to Night Owl Bird Hospital in Vancouver they said he was on the verge of dying. He needed immediate hydration and had to be hospitalized. If I had continued with just that medication, my child would've died. Don't bring birds there, just make the trip to Vancouver. They actually know what they're doing
Dr. Rana and his staff are all amazing. He is very knowledgeable and our Havanese x poodle just adores him very much. He takes his time in explaining the vaccinations that are required and follows up to make sure all is fine the day after. Knowing this just makes you feel really good when taking your dog to his office. Highly recommended!
Dr. Rana and his staff are all very professional and kind. Before coming to Apex, I went to another vet for my rabbit's neuter, they said my rabbit had worms and had to get more services, I thought this was weird and went to Dr. Rana who was very helpful and told me the truth- there was nothing wrong with my rabbit. Overall prices are affordable and staff are friendly!
I could write a book about how very pleased I am to have FINALLY found a pet hospital that I truly trust. Dr. Rana AND his wonderful staff really and truly care about our furry lil loved ones. My baby girl Bella (Balinese kitty) got quite ill over the long weekend, not eating, not drinking and throwing up all over the place. It broke my heart to see her so lethargic;( she could barley keep her big beautiful blue eyes open. I went on line and did my research as far as vets go in our area, and the one that stood out the most was Apex! read all the reviews, watched Dr. Rana's videos and made the decision to call the hospital, they were kind enough to fit Bella in the very next day which I was very grateful for. We were greeted by a wonderful receptionist, then met with the Dr. in practice that day, to my surprise it was not Dr. Rana. But needless to say the wonderful Dr. that was there on Sunday took great care of my Bella, took his time in trying to figure out what was wrong with her, suggested a few tests, gave me some meds to take home for her. He was compassionate, caring and very professional and made me a part of all the she was having done so that I understood the procedures and the remedies to follow. Bella felt a lot better the next day, but was still not quite herself, took her back to the hospital on Tuesday, and were grateful to have met Dr. Rana, he was amazing in terms of breaking down all that he thought might be wrong with her, went over her x-rays with me and suggested one more test that I was open too, for we both needed to find out if she had indeed eaten her plush toys, which was causing her constipation as no meds or an enema were working;( thankfully the final test did not show an abstraction, he made sure that she was hydrated, he and his staff took great care of her while she was there. I am happy to say that today she lost half of her weight in waste and is now back to drinking, eating, and chasing the squirrels in our garden:) You see the reason why I have gone in depth about how wonderful Dr. Rana and his staff are in how well they took care of my baby, is because I have lost two kitties to the Surrey Animal Hospital in Newton! So YES! this was a huge deal for me, for the last two times I took my pets to S.A.H. they ended up dying in their care;( with conflicting explanations as to the cause of my kitties passing! So to have found a Dr. and a hospital that I now KNOW I can trust when it comes to the care of my furry lil baby, I am confident and happy to say that I have. I will tell everyone that I know of about this hospital as so many of us have spent thousands of unnecessary amounts of $$s have shed many tears on furry little babies that would still be with us today, if the people in charge of their care were compassionate enough and cared more about the health of our furry family members than fattening their own pocket books. Do your research before you entrust your pet's care with someone that could potentially take them away from you by not doing thier job! like the so called DR.s at the Surrey Animal Hospital. Mitra Castano
Dr. Rana has been incredibly kind and caring with our dog. These bad reviews are stupid. I'm not reviewing one experience but numerous excellent experiences there. I don't normally review places, but considering the level of care and professionalism we are consistently shown, not to mention the absolute bargain in prices; this review is the least I could do. Thank you Apex!
Terrible! Everywhere posted and advertised states that they are open until 8 pm. I travelled from Vancouver to pick up medicine for my sick cat and the employee left before 8pm. When I called (before 8 pm) the Dr Rana who answered the phone told me that I should have called, I spoke to the woman in the afternoon to tell her I'd be coming. If your hours are until 8 pm you should be open until 8 pm, how is this my fault for showing up during business hours? I called to complain and the receptionist laughed. This is seriously the worst customer service and I will never use them for a resource again.
I met Dr. Rana and his wonderful team through referral from family. My first experience was in the fall when our cat required surgery for bladder stones. The quoted price was very competitive and in the end it worked out less than quoted which was a pleasant surprise. As the surgery was urgent I was super impressed how quickly they were able to get our boy in and help him. They offered excellent communication with you through the process and put my mind at ease in such a stressful time. Our kitty has recovered due to the amazing TLC he received while there. They went above and beyond my expectations.
The worst clinic I have been to! One issue was that I had a bacterial lab test done on my dog and they were late with the results due to the doctor being off with a bad back. When I called upset the doctor said I had no sympathy for him and that there's nothing he can do. At the same time they also miscounted the antibiotic prescription they sold me for my dog. He said I must have "lost" them. It's funny, because when I picked up the refill for the missing pills they had given the wrong amount... AGAIN! Also, on my account history, which I had them print for my records (cause I will never go back again), it stated he called the police and warned the staff about me because I threatened him. When I contacted the police they said I did everything correct and that I did nothing wrong. These guys are WACK!!!!!
I brought my dog in after she was attacked by another dog. I thought for sure she would lose her eye but Dr.Rana was excellent! Being an animal owner my whole life and seeing huge vet bills and excellent to horrible vets throughout my life I can honestly say this place was extremely professional, helpful and didn't charge me an outrageous "emergency fee." I highly recommend them!
Teddy Cocker Spaniel Rescue was looking for a vet who was good and one who gives us discounts, as we survive on donations. What we found when we brought our first rescue dog to Dr. Rana was not only the discounts, which we appreciated, but more importantly we found a veterinarian who was knowledgeable, skilled in his work and most importantly very caring and gentle with our dogs. Many of our dogs come to us abused and frightened of men. I'm not sure how Dr. Rana does it but I can't remembered a dog that didn't take to him. I recommended him to a breeder friend and her comments, which I tell people all the time was "He oozes compassion for animals".........
I visited the hospital for a vaccination for my pet dog. Must say they offer the best staff service that too at a very reasonable cost.
It's really nice to have somewhere to go to for rabbit care, they kept him pretty calm and took good care of him.
First of all, let me start by saying, when I find something great, I want to share it; whether that is a product or a service. The same is true when I find the opposite. In this case...Do NOT take your pet to Apex in Langley! If I could give zero stars, I would. They are not professional and I felt very rushed. They do not provide quality care by any means! I had taken my cat in and asked them to take a look at his ears to make sure he didn't have mites or anything like that, and I asked them to clean his ears. They said, 'We don't do that'. The Dr. looked in his ear for less than 3 seconds. I am not even kidding you! I ended up taking him to another clinic called Poco (recommended) and they discovered he had an ear infection and cleaned his ears spotless. During Covid, Apex expected me to leave my cat without speaking to the vet, to drop my cat off. This made zero sense! As the 24/7 caretaker, I wanted to speak to the vet so that they could have a holistic understanding of what had been going on. It was absolutely ridiculous. I also found the staff stand offish and not very communicative. I know it is hard to find a good vet, but definitely stay away from this one if you don't want to get robbed of your hard earned cash and if you care about the wellbeing of your furry family! It is clear they care more about the money than the animals themselves...
I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. Your animals are not safe here. My cat went in stayed over night and has never been the same.
Doctor Rana is basically like a God send. My dog has struggled with skin issues for a long time now and as a result I’ve spent thousands of dollars in vet bills trying to get to the bottom of it. All other vets just guessed at what could be wrong. Selling me expensive food as well as course after course of steroids and antibiotics all the while nothing worked. Dr Rana set out right off the bat to get to the solution instead of just guessing. Highly recommend him as a vet.
The vet treatment service here is top notch! I highly recommend it.
Dr.Rana and his staff at Apex Animal Hospital are amazing!!! When my flop ripped off her dewclaw several weeks ago they got me in immediately!! Today my bunny Max has his second cancer surgery in 2 months ( he’s adopted and about 8). Dr.Rana doesn’t price gouge and makes EVERY treatment affordable!! Can’t say enough good stuff about this clinic, only wish I had heard of them earlier before I lost my Flemish to giardia when she wasn’t properly tested at another vet on King George Hwy . Thanks again Dr. Rana ????
Dr Rana is amazing. I have been going to Apex for 10 years and have sent multiple family and friends. The entire staff is kind and will take the time to answer your questions. Highly recommended
Not near enough time spent on diagnostic Relying on tech's word. Misdiagnosis twice had to take to different vet. I would NEVER reccomend.
Love Apex Animal Hospital
Seek a second opinion! This vet wrongly diagnosed my Animal. He is apparently a specialist in my pets breed. Well lets say I wasted my time and money here. The vet Techs are great! but the Vet seems to busy to care. My animal almost lost an important part of his body because Dr. Rana said he needed to lose it. The vet seemed too casual about removing the body part and my gut feeling was telling me it was wrong so I got a second opinion. Turns out he does not need the body part removed and will be fine. The Issue isn't even what doctor Rana said it was, nor did he do the tests my new vet did to see what the issue was. Only rating 1 star because the vet tech girls are super nice.
If I could give a 0 star I would. I’ve been a cat owner before but never experienced anything like this. My cat who was only 1 years old became sick. I went to Dr. Rana for a span of 5 months back and forth, spent close to $10,000. Poor thing went through multiple surgeries, I had to administer medication three times a day and surgin feed her. Keep in mind I was a full-time student, worked part-time and lived on my own with zero help. I changed her food completely as advised by Dr. Rana to a vet approved cat food which was expensive. However I was willing to do anything to make her feel better. My cats condition never improved much nor did I ever receive a proper diagnosis, every time it was something different. I had to eventually put her down due to the illness. Come a year later I’m getting calls from Dr. Rana’s office saying I still owe them $3,500? They never advised me what for. Every time they performed a procedure I never was advised of the cost or given an alternative option. If anything they just made my cat more miserable and experience even more discomfort. HIGHLY DON’T RECOMMEND.
What a fantastic vet, they have taken great care of our two dogs, two rabbit's, and our cat
I took my bunny here for a follow up after being at the emergency clinic the night before. I had an appointment but wasn't seen until 30 minutes after my appointment time. Even though there was no one else there. Once I got in, the vet had no idea I had been to the emergency clinic the night before, even though the clinic had faxed all the information to them hours prior. My bunny's temperature was extremely low and he was blue and shaking. The vet left twice during the exam to take personal calls. When he was in the room examing my bunny he was extremly rough with him, jolting his head back and forth. There was more that happened but I can't go into everything. I will say the vet assistant was very helpful and emithithetic. I told the vet I wanted to take him back to the emergency clinic and went to the receptionist to pay quickly so I could leave right away. She asked me what I was paying for as there was lack of communication within the clinic. After being there for an hour in total the vet finally came out and said there's no charge you can leave. I made it to the emergency clinic 10 minutes later only to have my bunny pass right as we walked in the door.
The place is very calm and clean. I love this pet care unit.
Saved our puppys life.
I am very happy with the service that I received from Dr. Tarish Chatrath. I had a concern about a sore that I found near the inside of my cat's ear. I was able to get same day service. Dr. Chatrath took the time to diagnose my cat thoroughly and even trimmed my cat's nails for free. He responded to all of my questions and concerns with kindness and patience. He told me that I need to give my cat some medication and showed me how to do so. I felt very comfortable in their facility. Thank you!
I have been using Apex Animal Hospital for a little over 8 years. The knowledge and care given by Dr Rana and all of his veterinary assistants is truly the best. For all treatments and advice, small and large, he really knows his stuff. They have always given me an appointment when needed, and treat my cats well. I fully trust this clinic with the care of all of my cats. I only have positive things to say and highly recommend them!
Went to Apex for past 6 years for our dog and cat. Just spent a grand on a teeth cleaning this year for our dog but when I called for an emergency with our cat we were told they couldn't get us in for over a day. Based on recommendation from a colleague went to Apollo in Cloverdale and they got us an appointment within the hour. Need to be dependable. If we waited our cat could have died.
My first experience here was when I was dog-sitting for a family member and the dog needed care. The staff was very nice and all were very patient as I went back and forth with the owners who were overseas...trying to figure out what to do, getting permission for procedures, etc. The doctor did not immediately recommend surgery, we tried other less invasive options first. In the end the dog did need surgery but only after exhausting other options. Since then he has been happy and healthy and is living to a ripe old age.
Dr. Rana and the girls in this office are wonderful. We must be his nightmare but he has taken such good care of our gizmo every time we've had to take him back. Hes a very patient man. i HIGHLY recommend apex for your fur baies. we will always be forever grateful to him and his staff
Called and was able to make an appointment for the next day. Front desk staff was welcoming, kind and helpful. Didn’t have to wait long to see the vet, he was awesome. Thorough but didn’t try to upsell. They all handled my cat with care gave her excellent treatment and being a first time cat guardian he gave me a lot of helpful information. It’s a bit of a drive from home but worth it! They also do a lot of work with animal rescue organizations. Tip* make an appointment earlier in the day so you’re less likely to be kept waiting. If you’re looking for a new vet I would give them a chance!
Doesn’t care for your senior pet. Only options he’ll give you is to stop wasting your time and money and just put your animal down. Do not go here if you truly love your pet.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Rana & his staff. I volunteer for a rabbit rescue and Dr. Rana has gone out of his way many times to help us with sick rabbits who needed to be seen ASAP. His knowledge and compassion for these sick & injured rabbits is amazing. He went above and beyond when we were hit with the recent outbreak of Rabbit virus. He donated his time to help vaccinate over 400 rabbits. How many vets would do that? I wouldn’t hesitate to take any animal in to see Dr. Rana at Apex Animal Hospital.
I went here based on a recommendation from a good friend. Unfortunately, there was no compassion here.. he wasn’t gentle with my dog at all (she’s only 5 pounds). He started preforming an ear flush without even telling or asking me first and I was standing right there holding her. There’s no reason why I couldn’t have been informed. Then afterwards I get charged $100. I think every customer has the right to approve or decline a service and every person wants their pets handled with care.
very rude and ignorant and hang up the phone on you !! money hungry!!
Love seeing Dr. Rana, he always puts our minds at ease with our furry family members. We have been bringing our four legged pups to him for over 10 years and will continue to do so. We highly recommend this office due to care and compassion we have received again and again.
TERRIBLE, absolutely terrible and unprofessional receptionist. I asked if I can bring my pet bird in and she said we dont take birds and as I was talking she hung up on me. I called back many times and she would pick up and hang up the phone. This was on dec 17 around 8:20 am. So so so unprofessional. It’s too bad if the vets are good here because I will NOT recommend this place to anyone because of the receptionist. I dont want anyone to get treated like she treated me
Dr. Rana and his staff at Apex and the Emergency Clinic in Abbotsford are amazing!! Very kind and compassionate and so reasonable with their price. I would definitely recommend them!!
I won't be taking my 5 dogs here...thanks for the reviews, everyone. I just moved into the area and will go somewhere else. I can't believe the clinic has not responded to the negative comments!!! Shows bad business. Thanks for your reviews.
Thanks so much for the outstanding care Chloe recieved before, during and after her surgery. The staff are wonderful and the fees were reasonable. We will highly recommend you to our friends and colleagues with fur babies.
Repeat visits over years with different animals and have never been satisfied or felt true compassion to my standards. Family took in our 16 1/2 year old SHEPHERD CROSS (yup, she was old) who was 15 pls underweight. Lost weight over 6 months. Nearly any pet owner could say, her body was shutting down. No control of bowels or bladder. Blind and deaf. Bad hips. She was going. He sold my crying family on the idea MAYBE ITS JUST DIABETIES, she can get better! Just a shot a day! $200 later.. No, its not diabetes. She is old. So we proceded with saying goodbye as our dog wasnt going to pass easy and was in pain. What a money grab. Inwould have respected this decision if our dog was younger, even 14. But she was far beyond diabeties. I recall a visit the assistant less then friendly shoving my non aggressive senior cat into her carrier bag, when i pressed i would just carry her. She did not listen. If i wasnt as young as i was i surely would have let that woman have it. Disgusting treatment. Infuriates me whenever i think about it. Same cat i brought in for a breathing issue and the dr pressed that i do her vaccines because they were over due. I said to focus on the sickness she had and it was almost as if he wanted a confirmation from me that i would ensure i do vaccines at some time. Priorities? I know the vaccines cover important viruses that cause serious respitory issues but people drs dont hound you to get the flu shot when you go to the hospital very sick from the flu. Again Same cat, pressured to do dental work but didnt agree nor trust any more so we got a second opinion. Send vet wouldnt do dental work because of lung condition and urgently recommended antibiotic trial before surgery to make surgery safer. I feel like my cat may not have come out of dental surgery if i didnt get the second opinion. Again, visit after visit i was unhappy. My family no longer takes their pets there. Im an adult now and will surely never return. Note these visits were years ago but the same dr is there. I wasnt able to do a review then. I did not find the clinic dirty. Nore disorganized or visibly unprofessional. I just never found satisfaction or a pleasent visit
