Although my gecko couldn't be saved the vet tried to do everything she could even though she did not specialize in reptiles. I called every vet in the lower mainland and they were the only ones even willing to try and help. Thankyou for trying.

Our dog was referred here with an intestinal obstruction after eating some rocks (I know, right?). Grade A care and a great surgical outcome with no wait considering the urgency of the situation. Our dog is doing great one week later and the techs are still providing phone advice because our regular vet clinic can’t quite figure out post-op care. ER care costs money..the overhead of a 24/7 clinic cannot be appreciated by everyone but this clinic went above and beyond the call of duty for our dog. Thanks guys!

We have had a number of emergencies with our rabbits over the past few months, and the AECFV vets and staff have proved very competent and compassionate.

We're still grieving the loss of our family cat, but the Fraser Valley Animal Emergency Clinic helped us immensely when our cat was in his final stages. The support they gave as we spent time with him and the care that they provided our cat and our family was beyond our expectation. Thank you for allowing us the space and time to grieve, and for being so patient with us as we said our goodbyes. We will never forget your care and professional support~

While we know that our dog Huck was loved by many staff members, after doing some research after his death, I have many concerns. Huck was an 8 month old puppy. He had been vomiting, and stopped eating and drinking. I took him to a vet, who did not do X-rays, and sent me home with anti-nausea pills, to which I tried to crush and get down his throat as he was not eating. This was not effective, so I called Fraser Valley Clinic the following day and rushed my dog down for 11:30. While I was not allowed in, Huck entered the building, but was not admitted until after 4 PM, where he was treated for severe dehydration. A foreign body was found, but his intestine had been compromised, and part of it had to be removed and put back together again. Huck ultimately died from complications of this surgery, as his intestine leaked, and he had sepsis. I have actually received a phone call from the first vet at a different clinic apologizing for not being diligent enough with his treatment of Huck. My concern with this clinic is that I was very clear when they called after waiting for more than 4 hours for admission, that Huck had not been eating or drinking since the previous day. After doing research, time is crucial to remove these objects, or intestinal tissue can die, which in Huck’s case it did, resulting in a risky surgery, and in the end his death. His surgery did not occur until 1:30 AM. I am a realist, and I am very thankful for some very loving workers at this clinic, but I do feel that Huck continued to sicken as he waited. In the end, we paid over $8000 for his surgery and care, and I just don’t believe he was made a priority. I am thankful that, as a family, we were able to spend some time with Huck together in a room before he passed. He was a part of our family, and we are devastated by his loss.

Brought my dog here for her final visit and they were very helpful and knowledgeable, I'm glad we chose here for our final goodbye to our family pet.

I brought my rat here after she was coughing up a fountain of blood. She was very sick. We waited 5 hours, me in my car and my poor sick girl inside, just to get a $336 bill and be condescendingly told that my pet was fine. She wasn't fine, by the way. She started coughing up blood again when we got home and I now don't even have the money to see our normal vet. I will never be coming back.

I can't say enough about the amazing staff and vets. Two nights ago we brought our cat in as she appeared to have had a stroke. From start to coming home Smudge was well taken care of. The communication over the phone was excellent (covid), Dr Noble is incredible. We felt she went above and beyond explaining how to care for Smudge going forward. They did give us a cost estimate after she was seen, which is important and unfortunately part of decisions that are made. ???? it's going to be more than the usual vet appointment, but never did we feel it was about money. Thank you front staff at 2am for smiling and staying positive and keeping us in the loop when we can't be with out furbabies

Its a long one but please read this... it may save the life of your pet! We brought in our dog after he collapsed... he has existing heart condition. The Vets didn't seem to know what they were talking about using words like "I'm not sure" "I don't know what this means" "I'm not the expert".... well when you have a dying dog (according to them) can you please call in the experts? Whatever they asked for I said yes. Whatever test it took, Whatever treatment they thought he needed I said do it. I get a phone call at 1 am that this is the end for our little guy, "bring him some of this favorite food and prepare to say goodbye". So we did... due to his level of stress in the exam room they kindly let us bring our dog to our car to spend the last couple hours with him. (This was the best thing they did). After spending 7 hours in the car with our little guy, they kept calling and pushing for euthanasia. We kept pushing it back and I told them 1. We are not ready, and 2. He was starting to look better, eating, drinking, walking everything a normal dog does... they said it's best not to make him suffer.. he wasn't suffering, he was happily camping out in the car with him mom and dad. 6:00 am rolls around the vet called and said she would be leaving soon, and that the other vet may not be comfortable coming outside to do the job. I told her we were waiting for some people to come and say goodbye...He is loved by many, so the hours past and stupidly believing what these "Vets" were saying we were finally ready. Said our goodbyes which was the most heart wrenching decision we have ever had to make. I was told the vet would come around from behind the car so our little guy wouldn't see her, and she would do the injection into his IV. She didn't... she walked right up to us where our dog could see her, very cold heartily said "are you finally ready?"... we told her we will never be ready, but if this is what's best for him not to suffer then let's do this. She walked up and grabbed his IV and my poor "sick and dying" dog stood up and jumped towards the front of the car...my heart stopped.... I said "stop stop stop" and my husband said he's not ready, can we have some time... she basically did an eyeroll and said "ok". After A LOT of tears my husband put his foot down and said if he's going to die, he's going to die at home. It took a lot of convincing but they finally let us take him home. They weren't willing to let us leave unless we went to our own vet so he could put my dog down. For some reason they wanted him dead. Some nurses came out to pull out his IV and I overheard the nurse whisper "it's so clotted, it wouldn't have worked" I said "pardon me? Are you saying that he would have been injected with death and not died? And what just suffered?" She said "yea his IV is clotted". After a conversation I found out from our Vet, that would have been a horrible death for Him" the injection would have entered slowly and would've been a painful death"... can you imagine how we felt hearing this? They wanted him gone and I don't understand why... yes he has heart failure, but you could see he wasnt ready to die... for some reason they had convinced themselves he needed to be gone...so much so our insurance paper were given back to us stating that my dog had passed on May 15th from euthanasia. (Side note they also cut him pretty badly under his armpit when shaving him so now I have to take him in to make sure that doesn't get infected) At 10 am we finally came home, after following the advice of our regular vet... It's currently 6pm the following day... im happy to report my little guy is back to being himself, prancing around like he owns the place. It shatters my heart, everytime I think about the fact that I almost killed him based on the advice of these incompetent Vets... Save yourself the heart ache and take your pets somewhere that is competent in actually helping you and your pets. To owner response: I was indeed there, I have called and let a message for your already under this same name.

I recently brought my kitten Winston in for vomiting/diarrhea and lethargy. Due to COVID you are not permitted to enter with your pet and all communication is done over the phone, you hand your pet over outside and they call you with updates. The staff were very kind to me on the phone and took all of my information/his medical history. The vet who examined him gave me all of the options upfront and we decided on trying some home care rather than admission to the hospital that day. I was sent home with clear instructions and communication on how to monitor his progress. I believe that they have read the reviews that have mentioned pricing and all costs were clearly communicated to me so I could make a personal decision on finances. The staff and vet were happy to answer any questions I had about costs or care. Winston has recovered very well at home! I was initially hesitant to take him in due to the split good/bad reviews, but I think it is worthwhile to consider that we are taking our animals here in times of great stress and may misinterpret/forget things as emotions are high. I had a very positive experience and highly recommend this location for any pet emergencies! I have attached a photo of Winston, everyone loved him and I felt that he was very safe with the staff :)

Terrible phone manners. If you are worried about your dog don’t even bother with this place. They told me my dog “was not an emergency” at 3AM based on the symptoms I described OVER the phone mind you, and they made this decision without seeing my dog physically or conducting ANY tests or bloodwork. This is incredulous, as at any point my dog’s issue could worsen over a span or a few hours. They told me to bring him to a regular vet and I told them I didn’t have one, and the lady of the phone simply told me “well you have to find one, because we don’t take appointments..” After reading other reviews here, I may have dodged a bullet. Apparently they are only an emergency clinic—fine, but they get to decide what an emergency is over a phone call, without examining or seeing a dog in person first? Yikes. I understand severe cases take priority but… customer service has a long way to go here. Stay away from this place.. Try Boundary Bay on 64th, had a great experience with them last year.. I mixed up the two while searching on Google.

On September 1st we sadly had to say goodbye to our first and only dog Ben after 16 happy years. He had fallen extremely ill and his regular veterinarian did not have an appointment until 2 days later and we couldn't let him suffer that long. Multiple vet staff had highly recommended the Animal Emergency Clicnic of the Fraser Valley and so I decided to give them a call. All of the staff were kind and compassionate, including the nurse who came out to the car to carry our little man into the clinic because he was far too weak to walk. Once he was prepped, he was brought into the exam room in a fuzzy blanket and we were allowed to spend time with him in private and say our goodbyes. Doctor Burns was the one to perform the euthanasia and she was incredibly patient and kind with us, explaining the process and comforting us while he slipped away. We did not feel rushed in anyway and she was empathetic and shared her own similar experience with us. She is an amazing vet! She is definitely in the right profession and was able to make something horrible like having to euthanize a pet as comfortable as possible for everyone involved. She even let us keep the sweater he was wearing when he passed away. Thank you to all staff who helped us with this difficult decision. If I ever needed emergency care for my cat going forward, I would bring him here in a heartbeat feeling 100% confident that he would receive the best care. Thank you for all you do.

Understandably busy. But very efficient. Owners stay in vehicles completely isolated from others. They take great care of your pet and update you every step of the way via phone.

Our pet cat Lahna had fallen ill and, after our regular vet did some xrays and found a foreign body in her stomach, recommended Dr. Eugene Gorodetsky at this clinic. The doctor showed lots of care towards Lahna while examining her and genuinely shows a love for animals. He thoroughly explained the course of action to me and really seemed to know what he was doing with confidence, a welcome trait at a worrying time. The procedure was successful, and Lahna was released to us the same day in high spirits. I can't speak highly enough of the friendly, professional staff and how they handled everything. I traveled with Lahna from Coquitlam to this clinic for emergency surgery and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Here she is, fully recovered, soaking up some sun on a lazy Sunday loving life again. Thank you from all of us!

DO NOT GO HERE! I would give this place zero stars if I could! I called the office and told them some symptoms my poor dog was having. They automatically told me I had to take her in ASAP. Since I was told this (also that there were numerous staff members), I took her in immediately. When I got there they took her in and I waited 3 HOURS without any results! My poor dog must have been in hysterics the entire time! Her one eye was also red when she left there! I called them 5 times! Each time I asked about an update; they told me more serious cases were being looked at each time and that there was only one doctor. If it’s an animal hospital, wouldn’t it be logical to actually have more than one? They would say the doctor is looking at her now, each time I called within 20-30 minute intervals. Every time I discussed my frustration with the outright lying and stalling stories; I was again told the doctor was right in the room with her and that I would hear from the doctor soon. (last time was from a vet tech who said an assessment was done but couldn't tell me herself, I wonder why?) At one point they even asked me if I wanted to take my dog because she was ‘stable.’ It seems to me that they run this ‘hospital’ like a gulag in all honesty. They did not care about my dog at all and acted like nothing was wrong with her. The last straw was when I was asked if I could take my dog. That shows little compassion for animals and that they are just in a line. When I asked for my dog, I had to wait 5 minutes. The receptionist came out and didn’t even apologize or say anything. My dog was happy to get the hell out of there. If you don’t want to waste 3 hours of your life and your dogs mental stability, please do not go here. I will be going to a real veterinarian in the morning who actually cares to see my pet and is not just a number in a line. My review is not the only horrific one; this should speak multitudes.

Thank you so much to the staff of this clinic. Even during this pandemic they work hard to service our sick animals (following all safety protocols). Everyone was very friendly and the veterinarian was both extremely professional and empathetic. I definitely would trust the people here without hesitation. Once again, thank you for the amazing work that you guys are doing here; the amount of relief that was given thanks to you guys is unexplainable.

Not enough good things to say about this place! They helped us with an emergency with our kitten who had gotten something stuck in his mouth and we couldn't get it out ourselves. They were amazing with everything from our phone call on our way there to the end with take home instructions. They took our scariest night with our kitties and assured us that everything was going to be just fine. Exceptional animal hospital with exceptional staff.

Today was the hardest day ever saying goodbye to my best friend. But with the support and love I felt from the staff was absolutely amazing. Never once felt rushed. I felt very secure in the decision that was made to let her go with the puppy angels. Can’t recommend this place enough!

DD Wolf

Absolutely amazing staff! They were right on us when we walked in the door with our dog, Xander on New Years day . They eased our worries right away by taking his temperature as we gave our info. They were outstanding.

They did nothing to help my bird. We were told there was a vet that specializes in birds, so we waited with our sick puking bird for 4 hours. She showed up, took her in and then we waited other 2 hours only to have her brought out at 6PM in worse condition after just keeping her in an incubator. They told us she wouldn't die that night and that she would live. She died at 11PM in my hands. Once we said we were going to sue they ghosted us. Then the manager called us a few days later, and then told us we would Email the call logs. It has been 2 weeks and still nothing. This is a business not a caring vet. They hide stuff after you threaten to take legal action, wouldn't go here, the wait is terrible and the only good employees are the girls at the front handling the calls. Wouldn't take any of my pets here. Below is a picture of my little bird Moreen.

Jessie Somers

Had a very positive experience bringing our sick cat to the clinic. Staff were very kind and understanding and when we kept her overnight they said to call anytime for an update, which really helped my emotional wellbeing at the time. I highly recommend.

I want to thank the staff and doctor for taking care of Reuben this Saturday night. From first phone call until we got to go home, communication was clear and easy. With Covid protocols going on, we felt completely involved and cared for. Our care team was able to treat my corgi, perform the tests needed, and send the little guy home after the procedure. The communication we received feels nothing short of 5 stars and we are so glad this clinic is close by to us. Thank you everyone who worked on Saturday night that cared for Reuben and hope we won’t have to see you all again, but if an another emergency happens, we know we will be in good hands.

Crazy Cane Corso Lady

I can never thank the staff and Dr.Cherri Beltran enough for their kindness Compassion and support yesterday wen I had to help my fourteen year old Cane Corso Lily cross rainbow Bridge. ???? It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do and they made it less devastating by being supportive understanding and kind. ????

Kimberly Bozman

Service was good. Vet was knowledgeable, kind, explained everything, got a specialized poison expert on the phone to consult. But as people have said this place is definitely all about the money. As soon as we got there they wanted to do a battery of unnecessary tests. My cat had low blood sugar, low blood pressure, very lethargic, etc. They wanted to do an X-ray "in case of a blockage" which didn't make any sense to me based on the symptoms. I hate that I have to be the one that filters the necessary vs the unnecessary tests. Sure, the more the better I guess and I don't want money to be at all important in saving my let's life but I would much rather go somewhere else next time where I can trust the vet's recommendations to be reasonable based on what the symptoms are. Our cat passed away within hours of arrival and bill was still over $1000. Their original "care package assessment" was more like $2300 for 24-hours. Just to give you a sense of what short visit costs can be....

Jayne Scott

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Unless you have thousands of dollars to throw away and get NO answers as to what is wrong with a 4lb chorkie. Go somewhere else. They wouldn't even start helping my dog until I had to scrounge up money for them. They make you feel like money is more important than the health of your pet. I will never ever go here again!

Frank Fu

I came in with my Husky puppy kekashi who had some roundworm issues. Not only did they do a full examination for the stomach they also, notified me he had a heart murmur and the precautions I can take to help him. Love the service and the proactiveness of the staff. Would come here everytime I have a pet emergency. Only wish they also did general practitioner because over all great experience. They really put my mind at ease in the middle of the night at 3 am.

Our cat had a medical emergency on Christmas morning. This vet was one of the only places open in the entire Fraser Valley. We called ahead and they were super friendly. Due to covid there were lots of protocols in place, but everything went as smooth as possible. Everyone we talked to was incredibly friendly, especially for working on Christmas at a very busy vet office. Once our cat got checked out, they gave us all the steps and options we could take for testing, medicine and after care. We never felt like they were forcing anything on us that we did not need. It actually ended up being much cheaper than we expected, especially for an emergency visit! The friendliness in the staff made our stressful Christmas morning just a bit more bearable. Thank you so much, sorry Oreo was rude, he would be very grateful if he knew that it was all that poking and prodding that made him feel better!

Marina B

Thank you for taking the extra care with a couple of distraught people doing everything they could to try & save their dog. We spent hours trying to find ways to be able to pay for our dogs surgery to a not so happy ending. I wish I could remember names but my head was not at all clear that day, but thank you to the staff for trying to help make things easier on us. We had to say goodbye to our beloved Bean too early in her life. You are a very caring compassionate team ????

William Kwandibens

I brought my kitten, Hunter, in this morning because he was not breathing well and quite unresponsive. Dr. Noble was quick to help and gave us all the options possible. Unfortunately he was not going to make it as he was in such critical condition. The staff was very considerate and kind. Very informative and even though it wasnt a great memory, I will not hesitate to bring any of my other animals here if they need urgent care.

Chris Khoo

My guinea pig survived thanks to the critical care treatment at this clinic. It's their emergency measures which revived my semi-conscious guinea pig and kept him stable enough until we could see a guinea pig specialist.

Brittany Kilpatrick

WARNING: if we followed the instructions of the receptionist at this place, our puppy wouldn’t be alive right now… For context, we called this emergency hospital because my puppy had eaten a cigarette on a walk and was having major seizures so we needed to get her to emergency ASAP. We called this emergency clinic and the lady who answered first asked if we were calling for an emergency. When we said yes and explained what happened, she acted like it wasn’t an emergency and said we could “simply” just fix this issue home by calling a poison control number. And hung up without trying to learn more about what was happening. We tried calling the number and was put on hold for over 15 mins. We realized our puppy wasn’t going to make it if we didn’t do something fast and rushed her to a different pet hospital where the vet said she would have died if we didn’t take her in any sooner. A good vet hospital needs to ask the right questions to see whether something is an emergency rather than just automatically passing us off. Extremely irresponsible.

Dustin Jones

For my first experience there, and given the unfortunate circumstance that we had to put our cat down, the overall experience with them was great. Very professional, and also very informative both on our cats condition, as well as costs on everything prior to working on our cat. We both appreciate everything they tried to do for our cat during his visit there, and appreciate the level of comfort they gave to him as well before his passing.

Jaimie E

Fantastic service during a terrifying time. My youngest rat was in respiratory distress late at night, and we found this hospital after a frantic google search. They took my ratty in immediately and had her on oxygen quickly. The staff and vet kept me up to date and showed compassion for our pet and my husband and I. The fee was extremely reasonable considering the time of night, the quick service, and nature of care provided.

Matt Holmes

The staff here are very well educated and very friendly. We have had the unfortunate pleasure of visiting this emergency three times over the past 4 years. Every visit has exceeded our expectations and we always leave feeling very assured. I read through some of the negative reviews and feel they are typically left on more serious cases, and are usually based around money. I think its important to put yourself in the shoes of the technicians. They deal with pain, suffering and death on a daily basis. When they want to charge you to have your animal stay over night or to run more tests, its not to be greedy or to pinch your wallet, its for the well being of your animal. I understand not everyone has thousands of dollars to dish out, but good work is never cheap. That's just the reality of things. Anywho, there is my rant. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. We are very fortunate to have such great people so close by, although Milo might say otherwise :)

Alex Ngo

Had to face the hard decision of putting down our dog. We are glad we came here to say our last good bye. The staff are very helpful, caring and their process allowed us to be prepared. They had the most reasonable price even with the emergency fee. Also the facility is immaculate. Thank you to the staff at @ animal emergency making this process easy.

Jessica W

I had to rush my senior dog in when he started having seizures. They were very quick to bring him back to stabilize him. They were very thorough in what tests were options and which they recommended. I believe they did everything they could. We tried treatment with some medication but unfortunately in the end it seemed a brain tumor or cancer was most likely the cause and nothing more could humanely be done (confirmed by a second opinion with our regular vet). He continued to decline and we had to let him go a couple weeks after the initial emergency visit. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my pets back if needed.

Laila Hamelin

I want to say thank you so much for saving Peaches and Shadow my 2 month old kitties who were near death for a deworming medication (wrong dosage) from another vet. The prescription was given to us and we trusted the dosage was correct. We were so devastated after they became paralyzed and lethargic. We raced them to you and ur wonderful staff sprung in to action as Shadow was critical. Thanks to you they are both ok. Thank you for looking after them. People complaining about the price remember this is like an emergency. To me it was worth every penny.

Theodora Lind

We are so incredibly thankful to the staff at this clinic. Our dog Honey was in terrible shape when we brought her in tonight. They assessed and treated her quickly and she is resting at home tonight because of care she received here. We cannot thank you enough ????

Christine Brassington

I can not express enough gratitude to the staff here for being available in the wee hours of the morning for my emergency. I was given a swift diagnosis and the staff were very caring and supportive. I hope to never have to use you again, but so glad you were there for me and Rudy Dawg when we needed your services most. #riprudydawg

Very friendly, loving caring professional clinic. Had to take our furbaby Chappie here a couple days ago they told us to come in right away and asked so many great questions to figure out what is wrong with him. We had to wait few hours before he was good to go but that you expect at emergency care. We got Phone calls with updates about our baby which gave us a piece of mind. When he was ready to go the doctor called told us about the diagnosis and what they give him and what to do after. then when payment came the assistant went over again on the doctor's notes and made sure we have all the knowledge to take him home. They all said how good boy he is and that they loved him. The facility well maintained and very clean. Thank you for all.

We had an emergency on a Saturday evening with my rabbit. I called around and most veterinary offices were closed or they were not familiar with rabbits. We ended up taking her to the emergency. She was there for over 6 hours (while I waited in the parking lot). The staff were amazing at answering my hourly calls to check on her. The vet was honest about her level of expertise with rabbits and communicated everything they were doing with her to us clearly. She helped us make the safest decision for our rabbit and I ended up following up with a rabbit savvy vet after the weekend. It was extremely stressful for all of us but looking back now, all the right calls were made at the time and my rabbit is back to her happy and healthy self. We are very thankful to all the staff.

This is an emergency clinic, expect higher costs. The value is in the service available 24/7 rather than waiting days for an opening at your local vet clinic. I’m glad It’s available to my pets in case of emergency. The problem was the options other than what they recommended were not suggested. Apart of that is a result of the underwhelming reviews. They went directly to the most extensive treatment option without discussing what else and could be done. I wish they could have gone a step further in quality of service to the patient as well. Bottomline - just appreciate your pets have this service available because you’ll always have somewhere to go in those crazy situations.

On April 3rd 2020 I brought my dog in for assessment after she was eating grass excessively that morning with associated retching, acting lethargic through the day and feeling warm to the touch. After over a $400 bill there I took her to my regular vet the next morning as she was still gagging. $86. later he found a piece of grass behind her back molar and she could use a dental. Dog has been fine since. Why wouldn't the ER Doc think to look in her mouth? Dazzle did not have a significant fever. 1 point above normal is not significant! She was only slightly dehydrated. Since she has not had a problem since seeing a better vet who diagnosed her almost immediately. Thank you.

I had to bring my dog to the emergency clinic this morning. Luckily for us, it wasn't serious. I have to say that Dr. Jane was incredible. She took the time and explained everything to us. The staff was so caring - thank you for that. Reasonably priced and the staff was very attentive to after care as well. I would highly recommend this clinic for your pets.

Extremely kind and helpful staff! My kitten Binky was acting a little off so I decided to give them a call and they were super great & kind, when I brought him in they were able to quickly treat him and figure out what was going on. They also are connected with Trupanion so I did not have to wait at all for my payment to go through & was so thankful for that. My binky is back to being his happy and energetic self, I am so relieved!!

"only from my experience." -I highly recommend not to use this place "unless" your pet needs serious care! If your pet does need this care, expect to have them put down anyway because you will not afford the bill. They use their 24/7 service and advanced machines as a gold mine; if you have lots of cash to spend, great! Use this place. Your pet will get lots of help. -my bill came to over $2,000 for a bacterial infection which could have been caused by anything apparently.. which does not help me. -they ran several x rays, ultrasounds, and additional tests. Which i do appreciate because it shows they did take care of my dog in testing to make sure everything was ok. But to find nothing, and only to tell me he has gastroenteritis. Then to bill me for everything; they even billed me to have the tests examined by them, they couldn't figure it out. So they sent it to someone else. And then billed me twice. -I do appreciate them taking care of my dog, and i am very grateful for that. so i gave them an extra star. But if I couldn't afford this bill, I wonder what would've happened? I already know what they are going to reply to this message. - well, you agreed to everything over the phone. Well, of course, I did because I was worried about my little buddy. -so no worries at all! You have your money; I have my dog. You will never see him or me again. so enjoy your new tesla! Cheers,

My family had to put down our sweet old dog Pink a few months ago, and the staff here were so accommodating. The building itself is exceptionally clean and has a very comforting atmosphere, while the "family rooms" in the back were nice as well. The doctor gave us all some time to say our goodbyes, then very gently came in to put our puppy down. I can't even imagine how tough it would be to have this as your job, but kudos to these fantastic people for being so great at it and for helping us cope in a difficult time. Also, the 24 hour availability is a huge plus. Thank you so much. RIP our sweetheart Pinker, we will never forget you ❤

This hospital is amazing! my furbaby Bernie was so sick and we had him transfered from Scottsdale Vet. From the first phone call, admitting him in for a few days and leaving the staff are above and beyond! The veterenarians, nurses, reception and assistants are super friendly, informative and compassionate. Yes they are super busy and yes it may take time but they are juggling animals and maintaining smiles and positivity. I was so worried and was calling every morning and evening while they treated Bernie and all the staff I spoke to eased my anxious worry and took the time to explain everything keeping me in loop of his progress . I highly recommend this place to anyone and even though I hope i dont have anymore pet emergencies I would call this place first before anyone else. Thanks again to everyone who helped my lil guy he gives you 10 purrs out of 10!

We had several wonderful experiences with the Animal Emergency Clinic of the Fraser Valley this year. Sadly today, we brought our almost 12 year old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog in for an assessment as she was really struggling to walk. Dr. Lavely was so kind, understanding and open about options for us and our dog Kaia. She, and all of the staff, helped us make an extremely difficult day a little easier to bear. Thank you for your compassion and expertise.

Phoned the Animal Emergency Clinic last night at around 9:30 p.m... My 8 year old Pitbull had been vomiting quite a bit, the last 2x had a lot of blood in it. Brought him in, by 10 p.m. ish and the place was BUSY! We all know how important our pets are to us, and I feel it is very important to comment on the PROFESSIONAL, FAST, AND CARING treatment that we received. SYDNEY was like a Angel..she swooped in and after a few important questions took him and because of Covid restrictions asked me to wait in the car. They didn't make a move without calling and consulting me. Then Dr Allyson called me and discussed what she thought was the best course of actions. Having owned my dog since he was 8 weeks old, and Pit bulls having such a "reputation" for being aggressive , no one even batted a eye.. which I truely appreciate as I've taken him to other Vets who have told me" not their favorite breed". I am very happy to say that Chumley is feeling MUCH better..and we would ABSOLUTELY recommend ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC OF THE FRASER VALLEY with 10 stars!!???????????? Thanks so much Ladies, so much appreciated Linda and Chumley Allan

Hello, during that awful heat wave at the end of June I had to take our 3 year old female shepherd Reya to the Animal Emergency and it wasn't heat related at all but she wasn't eating or drinking and in the end it turns out she had somehow got a foreign body lodged in her lower jaw area and had an infected abscess on her throat. This was the reason she had no interest in eating or drinking. She unfortunately had to wait to be treated right away as she was stable and the great people there were dealing with so many cases of heat exhaustion in pets during that weekend that it was understandable there were animals triaged ahead of her. Once she was seen Dr.Ricka later that night she got to the bottom of her issue right away and stayed beyond her shift that night to perform the surgery on Reya to lance and drain her very painful abscess. She has since recovered completely and is doing well and back to her old self. My wife and I can't thank all the dedicated staff there enough and especially Dr.Ricka who took so good care of our girl. We found out later how tough of a weekend it was for everyone and have so much admiration for all that work there. Thank you !!!

My dog was going into conjunctive heart failure when I took her in, the staff was absolutely fantastic, they took her in right away, put her on oxygen without wasting anytime. Took X-rays and informed me of exactly what was happening to my pooch. The Dr explained everything in detail & was very thorough in what medications & care my pet needed. I would completely recommend them to all my family & friends with pets. All the staff her are caring, loving & kind.

Great communication, strong integrity. Took our cat here because this was our go to animal hospital. Took our cat to an animal hospital close by our home originally and decided it was best for us to go to this vet instead. The vet and receptionist created great options and many ways for us to be in care of our cat.

UPDATE: My review was cut short, but the biggest issue was: when we tried to take our animal home, they wouldn't not let us, and kept us waiting for another 2-3hrs even after we stated we would seek other methods of care. They held our pet hostage against our will for hope of monetary gain. The veterinarian herself said that her treatment plan would likely have lead to death. By not giving this pup any food or water, they allowed her health to deteriorate further. Animal care 101. As they said, we declined THEIR treatment, so why were we not allowed to leave and give our pet the best care possible elsewhere? There are other emergency veterinarians, just don't recommend this one. Do not take your puppy here unless you want an animals death at the expense of putting money and greed above humane practices. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not let your animal suffer on their watch! Our puppy was not in critical condition, but when we got her back she was as good as dead. If we stayed home and cared for her ourselves, she would have lived, as we've dealt with newborn puppies and lack of bowel movements many time before; in most cases the vet prescribes a simple prescription such as a laxative or simethicone which allows them to pass gas. People who genuinely care about animals are not looking to get the highest dollar and will act quick in an emergency rather than toss them aside. Not only did they ignore our pup's need for fluid, but they would not give her back to us. They made it impossible for this puppy to survive.

Our 12 year old pooch has been not himself lately, and after taking him to our own Vet (also a good one.. Newton), pooch was on some pain killers to see if he could improve. He became gradually worse, and even calling our own vet, they recommended we go to the Emergency Clinic. Magoo could barely walk, was hiding, shaking, panting, not eating. The staff were so compassionate and caring, fit us in right away. The doctor took her time to examine him completely. He clearly has some "hind" issues.. and gave us many options. After much consideration, we decided that we didn't want to go ahead with all the blood work, xrays, ct scan, poking and prodding that our beloved pooch would have to endure.. we figure the end result would be the same.. even if they found something, we wouldn't want to put our old pooch through any type of surgery or anything. The doctor kindly wrote in her summary that putting him down was an option. She did this without any judgement or criticism towards us. It's difficult enough to make a decision like that about your pooch, but they made it easier. They did send us home with a better pain killer for him... they didn't charge us for coming in.. which was so incredibly amazing.. all the staff there is great. I have sadly been there in the past with other pooches, and they have always been caring, compassionate and recommendations are top notch. Keep up the good work you guys.. you are truly amazing.

We took our bunny Theodore here urgently after he became dehydrated, lethargic and super sick on Friday night. The staff here saw him immediately, they treated him with the urgency he deserved. They were up front with us about their lack of rabbit specialists, but tried their hardest. Their quote was reasonable and the actual price came well under the quote. They communicated with us every step of the way and never felt like I was annoying them with my multiple phone calls over the next 36 hours. Ultimately Theodore died despite everyone’s best efforts and the staff were so caring and empathetic. They let us come and sit with him alone for as long as we needed and guided us through the next few steps. I would take any of my pets here and I’m happy that Theodore was in the best hands.

Andy Sjafei

Brought my cat in as he was having trouble walking and seems to be in pain. It is on the pricier side as this is an emergency clinic but Dr. Colgan was very helpful in prescribing meds for my cat with specific instructions. Cat is doing well now .

We had to take our dog Pepper to be euthanized as she had cancer and her condition had rapidly deteriorated. Dr. Patterson was kind and compassionate in her treatment of Pepper and us. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but she ensured the end was calm and allowed us time to say our goodbyes. I would recommend Dr. Patterson if you have an emergency.

tfrom3

Pleasant and informative staff, answered calls, doctors did their best to answer our questions. Came in below the quote, good people for our bad situation. Thank you

Soooo upset!!!!!!!! Not only was I charged an arm and a leg for my pet, the lady who took my credit card over the phone must have recorded my info. The next day there was a charge on my visa unauthorized over $600. Do not provide them with your credit card info via phone. This should not be an option for payment with all the dishonest people in the world! The only reason you get two stars is because my pet is alive still.

Fuckin Pissedoff

Fantastic kind and friendly staff are willing to take an emergency at any hour of the day or night. Owned and unowned pets are Important and worthy of the best care at this Clinic.

Ciara

Our poor dog was left to wait for hours with no medical treatment for an allergic reaction which is why we came in the first place so she would receive immediate antihistamine injection for relief and not suffer. Apparently they were too busy even though the website says they're always fully staffed. They weren't too busy to charge a hefty emergency fee even though they didn't treat her as an emergency priority at all. I could have treated her quicker myself at home. And when you're paying huge fees for private vet emergency vet care of a supposedly fully staffed hospital you don't expect your dog to suffer for hours without treatment. That happens in human hospitals because they're free and are short staffed due to budget so this comparison they make on their phone message is ridiculous. I understand the triage process but I'd you are in fact fully staffed a dog suffering from an allergic reaction would be treated alarm immediately as it takes only a moment to provide an injection after checking vitals.

PG Performance

My Bunny had head tilt and was not doing good at all. I called over 20 other vet places and nobody wanted to see him. They were the only ones willing to see him even thou they don't normal see bunnies. The Vet was amazing. She put him on medication and was so kind and understanding. We took him home and are following her instructions. We were at the point of putting bunny to sleep cause no one would see help him or see him. You guys probably saved our beloved bunny. I am so grateful. The whole staff was so kind and they really cared about making him better, rather than just tell us we should put him to sleep.

I cant thank them enough ....I took my dog in middle of the night because she stopped eating, I called and they said bring her in...from time I got there to when she was discharged it was around 2.5hrs...the staff is amazing, the Dr was incredible and she kept me updated and would tell me what she recommends to be done for testing and medication...they have the best prices for an emergency hospital, I.was worried I'd have to sell my kidney but when I got told total,I had to ask if they charged me properly...ill definitely use services again....THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE ON NEW YEARS EVE...

Laura Kavanaugh

Our spunky Miss Maya fell ill just a few days ago and was rushed by our vet to emergency care. The entire staff has been more than accommodating to Maya and all my late night and daytime phone calls. Our Maya girl has been diagnosed with Addison’s disease and with their loving care, will be back home to us in an hour. They have been very mindful and upfront with us regarding costs & how to manage Maya’s disease when home. We always felt confident with their treatment and difficult diagnosis and knew Maya was lovingly cared for. Thank you all for bringing Maya out of her Addisionian Crisis and keeping her safe for the past 3 days. We are forever great-full ????

I can only share my experience during covid times..5 weeks ago we had to make the decision to say goodbye to our baby boy. Almost all the clinic's we were looking at stated we couldn't be in the same room as he was euthanized because of covid. My heart was already broken and to think he would be alone in his last moment was far to much to bare. This clinic not only allowed us in ( 3 people) they gave us as much time and privacy as we needed with him. They were so very, very compassionate. The price was actually better than I expected for a cremation... I am so greatful for them not letting Covid cause more suffering. Please use my review experience based on Euthanasia and not surgery

B F

The customer service here is absolutely incredible. I’m a panicked puppy mom and the vet and techs walked me through everything I needed to know. They stayed calm and gave me the full details on a treatment plan and looked out for me making sure that the plan is something financially viable. We are in busy and changing times, and despite all that, this clinic still made me feel like I was their one and only client - I got full attention and did not feel rushed through.

Crystal Warkentin

Excellent from the first phone call to the end of treatment. There were 9 other vehicles in the parking lot with animals requiring attention. I felt that Howie was taken care of in order of importance, the care was very appropriate and the bill was completely reasonable, especially considering it was for after hours care. I was informed when I needed to be. Thank you!

Shawn Knight

I will start this review with the very real fact that the care we received from this hospital was professional and excellent. But as I write this, 80% of Canadians have their first Covid vaccine dose and 60% their second, yet this place WOULD NOT allow you in with your pet. This, when I can line up maskless at a supermarket, yet can't go in to be with (what most of us consider) a member of your inner family. I watched a man beg to be let in with his dog, only to be refused and break down in tears as he watched his dog led away. This kind of scene is absolutely heartbreaking and unnecessary at this point in the Pandemic. I will happily return to this clinic, only after it recognizes that while they may be helping the pet, they are injuring the customer outside, and begin to let fur parents in to be with their loved ones.

Cam Laidlaw

Awful service. Rude. Don’t care. Just want your money. Never felt disrespected and disgusted the way I did here. DO NOT EVER go here!!!

Jovan Dhesi

During a period of immense stress with my dog being unwell. I called this clinic in hopes of having my dog treated for a very severe acute infection. I spoke with the receptionist they told me bring your dog in and we will see her right away. As soon as is arrived to the clinic I brought my dog inside. My dog was not friendly with staff, I was instructed to wait in my car for about 20 mins as the vet said they would prepare a room for my dog. That 20 mins ended up becoming 6+ hours of me waiting in the car with my dog, the veterinarian then asked me if I can afford X Y Z exams and I would have to pay first. This female veterinarian was very incompetent, after sparadically calling them to ask when will my dog be admitted they stated this is not an emergency we will see patients based on level of emergency. For one this establishment clearly cares about money and they manipulate owners who are under severe stress of their pet being sick. Secondly my dog is a pitbull and I felt some bias and unethical treatment due to my dog's breed. If you love your animals please search for different vets in Langley do your due diligence and prepare an action plan for your pet if onset illness occurs. I'm glad I never came here due to the horror stories I've heard about this place.

Excellent service. My 7 month old cat Murphy got neutered 4 days ago at my local vet and today the healing process must have made the incision itchy. He managed to scratch the area with his plastic cone and I found him today will blood over his cone and what appeared to be a possible slightly open incision. I bought him a soft cone instead and called the Emergency Clinic as it was after hours and my vet was closed. Staff asked me to text them a photo, and got a response within a minute from a Vet Tech. They advised to bring Murphy into the clinic as the photo did not appear concerning at first, but wanted to check the area in person. I drove to the clinic, waited only 5 minutes in the parking lot before recieving a phone call to bring Murphy to the front doors. The ladies retrieved Murphy, and within 5 minutes they were back at the front door telling me the incision area has been healing nicely, does not require any additional treatment and to use the new soft cone instead. Best part of it all, when I asked for the invoice, she stated there was no charge for a quick examination. I was in and out within 10 minutes and had the peace of mind that Murphy's neutering surgery was healing well and had nothing to be concerned about.

Voko Beauti

Absolutely horrible experience, my mom took her pup here for a simple issue and the pup ended up dyeing as they ignored her for 3hrs without giving fluids. After declining their treatment option (as they said it likely wouldn't work), they would not give her pup back.

Jacob Stanworth

My ferret Clementine had ate something that got stuck in her stomach and was in bad condition. I took her to my usual vet who unfortunately did not have the time to take care of her due to their own scheduled surgeries, and advised me to take her to AECFV instead. When I got there the assistant who came and took my ferret advised me of everything I could expect and asked for very detailed medical history so they had as much information as possible. The wait in the car was quite a long time, about 2 1/2 hours until I received a call from the doctor about starting xrays, but that is understandable due to the nature of emergency clinics, and they had done legwork in seeing who would be able to perform surgery if needed so I had all that information once they did contact me. The doctor was up front about managing expectations as their staff had not done any surgeries on ferrets before, which I greatly appreciated. They laid out costs to me for each step of the way so I knew how much I was being charged, and they discussed with me in great detail options I could pursue to help her get better. While prices were high, it is to be expected for an emergency clinic and to get good care. I elected to take my ferret home after being given fluids to help rehydrate her and she passed what was in her stomach and has gotten better and is in good spirits now! I'm glad she was taken care of properly and that I was helped along the way with any questions and concerns I had while discussing options.

EDIT:::You're right! It was the other clinic that did his teeth. You however were wonderful with his emergency issue, so 5 stars anyways!

Sonya R

The staff here are the most amazing and sweet people I have ever met. Having to euthanize our dog was the hardest decision ever, they provided so much comfort even after the process was done. I really cant thank these people enough for taking care of our fur baby. It is heartbreaking to see him go but the staff allowed us to take our time and make a decision when we were ready. They were so patient in going over the details for the paw imprints.

This review is long over due as I was here over a year ago. However, I have not stopped thinking about how incredibly grateful I am for the staff and the service at this vet. My dog Gracie ended up having a Pyometra infection which they diagnosed right away. She was in very bad shape and had to stay over night to get IV fluids, antibiotics and a blood transfusion. They took such good care of Gracie, they called me through the night to update me and were very transparent that she might not make it. They recommended I book her into another vet the next day to get the emergency surgery that was required to treat the infection as it would be cheaper than doing it there. I found another AMAZING vet in Cloverdale (Snowden Animal Hospital) who got me in right away. Fraser Valley clinic, got Gracie ready to go and transferred over her records. Gracie had her surgery and she has made a full recovery and I am so thankful to everyone involved! Fraser valley even contacted Snowden to see how she was doing which I thought was very sweet. Again I am so grateful and cannot thank this clinic enough!!

It is so comforting to have such great care for our dogs 24/7! Both of our dogs - Stella and Clooney have had to visit the clinic and each time, we felt confident and relaxed that they were getting the best care possible. The clinic communicated clearly around the issues, always gave us options in treatment and outlined the cost for each treatment. Both Stella and Clooney are healthy and happy and we would not hesitate to recommend the clinic to anyone with a sick pet after hours (as my dogs always get sick then)! Thank you for all that you do.

LMAO good thing i attched the receipt. And you can see from their response that such a mercenary clinic is better avoided. I DO NOT wish my experience at this place on my worst enemies!! Let me tell you why: My cat had a respiratory infection, and i took her there for some radiology tests. She(my cat) was stable for 3 days, and as a matter of fact she was recovering very well. After taking her there and returning home, she looked shocked, scared and was breathing loudly.( its not her first test, i been taking her for check ups once a year) I called them 3 times and i was anxious and sad and panicking.( as a pet owner you know what i mean) First time second time and the THIRD TIME I KEPT SAYING MY CAT is breathing loudly, you just did the tests, what should i do? I am cocnerned. The receptionist carelessly and brushing me off like im wasting her time or something(i paid $840 dollars for this place) wouldn't give me any advice on what to do or even a geniune concerned feedback or nothing. I felt helpless, i kept looking for an advice from her and she wouldn't be helpful. She made me feel small, helpless, and desperate. Finally i gave up and drove to another emergency hospital. She died in my arms(reminder she was perfectly stable before i took her to this clinic) from stable condition to her death on the same day, i do not wish this on my worst enemy, let alone any animal lover. Look guys, i genuinely can not tell you what to do or not do (that is your decision) i am simply sharing my experience. I felt that they treat their cleint(me) with no care, no feeling or no emotions. (Like another day in the job for this receptionist) It would be nice for the receptionist to have a good heart and not ignore a client or perhaps be more helpful in times of need. This is my opinion based on the receptionists treatment and the condition of my cat after taking her there. You make your own call at your own RISK! I will miss my baby, and i hope you never feel my pain.

dobekiss

Thank you all so much for taking such good care of my Doberlove Cinder. She was in good hands with you! I love that you guys spent so much time cuddling her & loving her up. She & I both thank you ????

Vanessa Murray

My dog was dry heaving in the middle of the night, I got a little concerned. So I thought I'd phone up Animal Emergency Clinic. The woman I talked to on the phone was very helpful. She got me to check my dog's stomach, tongue and his breathing through the phone. She put me at ease that it wasn't an emergency and I should take him to his Vet in the morning. She was very helpful, thank you.

On October 6 around 2 am are Zack crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The staff were absolutely amazing. I was so upset because I have heard during Covid19 people aren't allowed in to be with their fur babies. We are so grateful to the staff for allowing us to be with while he passed. I highly recommend them for all your pets needs. Once again thank to all the staff for all their words

Michelle H.

I have had to (unfortunately) visit here several times for after hours emergencies for my cats across several years. I only have good things to say about the vets and staff who have helped me and my family in emergency and end of life care for our pets. It is great to know they are here and staffed 24/7 in case of emergency. Always kind, thorough, patient, and compassionate in the most stressful and difficult of times. Thank you!

joe novak

Excellent care & service. Got us in 5min.Took great care with our cat. Very professional. Highly recommended.????

sunshine coast

Worst clinic ever , they only care about money , In Order to get more money , they just accepted sick animals as many as they can and let people waiting for even 6 hours , our cats have animal emergency, so we called them and they let us bring our cats to see the Vet , we drave more than one hour to the vet , but wait for four hours and our cats still did not get any exam or treatment , they said Dr did not have time to see our cats , their common excuses is there are other critical animals need to be seen firstly , then I told them our cats have medical emergency too , then their excuses changed to others came earlier than us which is a big lie , when we came and we only see one car parking there , but the real problem is they never tell us that our cats need to wait for 3 hours and still can not see vet , otherwise we just go to other energy vet clinic ,when I questioned that , they said some people wait for 6 hours already and I do not have patient because we only waited for 3 hours ?! They should not let so many people coming and wait for several hours to see vet , they Should tell people how long they can get chance to see Vet , specially all animals are all have urgent medical situation, this vet only care about money and super selfish , they do not care pets are suffering from waiting for hours without exam and treatment , they just tried to get sick pets as many as they can to earn money as much as they can , they do not care how suffering animals are to wait for 6 hours specially they are in pain , do not recommend this vet at all unless your pets and you are willing to wait for 6 hours without vet seeing your pets and your pets have to suffer from pain for 6 hours waiting time !

My friends had a very old dog that needed to be put down. The staff at this clinic where absolutly amazing with providing all the information and options to us. They treated the dog and my friends with a high level of respect and compassion. Their job is not an easy one and to do it all while keeping bright and professional must be hard. Thank you again so much for your help with chewy. May he frolic in the field forever. Farmer B.

I had to take my dog in as an emergency after she swallowed a toy or a bone( not sure yet which one it is). They were really helpful, from the moment I called until I got to pick up my pup and take her home. They explained everything that will be done to her and also went over all the fees before they actually did any tx on her. The doctor that took care of her was amazing. She called me after the initial consultation and explained the treatment plan and all the fees involved before she did any test or x-rays. She called me 3 times along the way and informed me of results and what the plan was going forward. I am so grateful for the way she took care of Kalea! Everybody was so helpful and caring, it was such a relief since I never experienced a situation like this one. So a big THANK YOU to everybody!!!!!

Laura Armstrong

We had an emergency with our dog this morning and I am so thankful we came here. It was pricy but absolutely worth it. The staff are all so high quality, kind and knowledgeable. The vet was absolutely phenomenal. She was friendly, detailed and informative. So so thankful for the team here! You absolutely get what you pay for!
