If you would like someone to tell you you’re doing everything wrong with your pup, and to ensure you question every bit of common sense you’ve ever acquired through raising dogs your entire life- then this is definitely the place to go! I have heard they’re great with larger dogs but I wouldn’t recommend you take a small dog to this vet.

This vet was incredibly rude to me on the phone while trying to reschedule an appointment. He had zero empathy towards me when my voice cracked talking about the procedure (I am choked to be neutering my dog) and he said “Now I’m really hesitant to book you in!”. Rather than appease my concerns of at least empathize he actually refused to re-book my apt and had extremely bad manners. After this conversation I would never bring in an animal to his clinic; hopefully he treats animals better than he does people!

I brought a 9 week old puppy in for a general health inspection. The vet was rude and did not provide any interest to answer my questions. We have had several dogs & cats in the past but it had been a awhile since having a puppy. I just wanted to ask some simple questions on his opinion on caring for a puppy. The health inspection was brief at best and then the vet was gone. I was in & out of the door in 15min for $73. Not even a thank you for my business, just a bill and the door. I will be going back to our previous vet.

I have taken my little dog here before and had no issues. But I called to book an appointment as my dog is limping and has a lump on his hurt leg hipbone. They didn't answer so I left a message. It's been over 3 weeks and still no reply... I've called over a handful of times. I'll be going elsewhere

Great place, I was very happy with how friendly everyone was and that my cat was not sitting around waiting for an appointment (I've dropped other animals off to other vets to be fixed and waited all day before receiving a phone call) my cat was back in my arms in 2 hours which means he wasn't sitting around in a cage all day waiting. Will be driving to Kalso for all Vet needs

Hagedorn is a fantastic veterinarian. He is direct and honest but will show some frustration if you bring in a pet that is clearly not well cared for (see bad reviews). He cares about the welfare of the animals and that makes him a better vet, even if he rubs some owners the wrong way. We drive over 1 hour each way to see him over a selection of pretty decent local vets.

My little Willa's body was buried that day - at one of our favourite stopping spots along the lake. So many years of her life that we made that 2 hour walk .... She is at a headland looking down this vast lake system our ours and up at the mountains What she and I experienced felt more like 'ceremony' as we took her little life that day & I cannot adequately express my gratitude for this. We are summer visitors to the area - took my little male dog here as he was having some issues with his prostate - Dr. Pat was thorough as to his examination and findings. The decision was made to neuter my dog. Had him booked in for surgery in a couple of days and started him on a course of antibiotics. Surgery was performed and I was able to bring him home in a couple of hours and now on the road to recovery. Sugery was fair and reasonably priced - I liked his no-nonsense attitude, tells it like it is, and doesn’t waste my time or his. If you are looking for someone to molly-coddle you and charge you an arm and a leg, go somewhere else.
