I adopted my minou from there 3 years ago. I bring him back every for his vaccines and a check up. Every time that I bring him they are so excited to see him! They take such good care of Charlie and take the time to answer all of my questions. They even call to check up on him! They are fantastic! Wouldn`t bring him anywhere else.

I have spent several hundred dollars at this clinic buying food for my 2 cats and dog this year alone. My dog absolutely refuses to eat one huge bag of food I bought from them. The clinic refuses to take it back even though the company (Hill's Prescription Diet) has a 100% satisfaction guaranteed or money-back policy. He is knowledgeable, truly loves animals and he is good with them, he gives you clear informations and can also be very helpful in guiding you when having to take difficult decisions. I've been going to Dr Plasse for about 10 years even though there are very good vets just 5 minutes from my house. He is just better. I recently had an experience with one of the zoo where I got to witness the whole team working together and I have to say I was even more impressed. From the other vets to the techs to reception every body was on the case to help. They really just care about the fur-babies. Highly recommended.

Really great service when I had an emergency with my cat. The veterinarian was kind and took the time to come outside to assure me my cat was ok. Really terrible service when I went to her appointment to get her stitches taken out. I showed up on time. The sign on the door says "Please wait outside. Someone will come help you". So wait outside I did, for 25 minutes, as staff came and went through the door helping other people and no one acknowledged me. Finally I told a staff member that I wanted to make sure they knew I was there. She responded, "well did you call us to let us know?". No one told me to call and the sign said to wait..... So no I did not call. I told her I had been waiting outside for 25 minutes and she rudely told me that I could keep repeating that (I think I said it twice) but it wouldn't change anything. Why so hostile, I do not know. The vet is not a happy place for me after I had to put my young cat down last year. It is unfortunate that I was needlessly made to wait such a long time for a 2 minute procedure, and it is unfortunate that I was not treated with kindness when they realised they had made a mistake and forgotten me. Before today my review for this vet would have been 5 stars. I hope the blonde woman I spoke to is not a reflection of the rest of the staff here.

This is the only vet who took the time to explain to me what was happening to my cat, in a way that made sense and that did not pressure me to spend lots of money. They provide top notch care for animals, and also are reasonable with their prices. After hundreds of dollars spent elsewhere they finally found why my cat had allergies. I had my cat vaccinated for rabies and renewal of its vaccines 4 months before my departure. Two days before my departure and while I went to CFIA for the official signature of one of their veterinarian, the vaccination certificates were not in conformity !!! So I made another compulsory appointment before my trip, that is to say the next day. I called Lasalle veterinary hospital to let them know, they told me that the veterinarian was in consultation that they were going to call me back. After 1h30 waiting ... still nothing ... while time was playing against me. I called them back and told me they needed the vet who would come back later. Not having much time left I took the initiative to return with my cat since they had to scan his chip. This should have been done well before and is common practice among veterinarians. But they told me it was up to me to clarify it. They made me pay a $ 25 fee to complete 2 lines of form which I had to redo since the first was no longer good due to their non-compliant certificate of good health. They did absolutely nothing to help me get to understand the situation I was in! They make you believe that they know how it goes during a trip when not at all! They gave me false information saying that the cost of the form was $ 15 and since it is 7 pages long it would not be ready until the next day. The woman on reception formally told me that this cost and that of a simple certificate of good health. ... while a certificate of good health is given immediately. Finally I absolutely do not recommend them! It was the worst experience for me and an extra dose of stress before my departure !!! (Original) Si j'aurai pu mettre aucune étoile c'est ce que j'aurai fait!!! J'ai préparé et me suis informé comme il se doit de toute la marche à suivre pour mon voyage. J'ai fait vacciné mon chat pour la rage et renouvellement de ses vaccins 4 mois avant mon départ. Je leur ai demandé de bien remplir son carnet de vaccination puisque des informations étaient manquantes et j'ai bien précisé que tout devait être conforme pour mon voyage. Deux jours avant mon départ et alors que je me suis rendue à ACIA pour la signature officielle d'un de leur vétérinaire, les certificats de vaccination n'étaient pas conformes!!! J'ai donc pris un autre rdv obligatoire avant mon voyage c'est a dire le lendemain. J'ai appelé l'hôpital vétérinaire de lasalle pour leur en faire part, ils m'ont dit que la vétérinaire était en consultation qu'ils allaient me rappeler. Après 1h30 d'attente... toujours rien... alors que le temps jouait contre moi. Je les ai rappelé ils m'ont dit qu'ils devaient le vétérinaire qui rentrerait plus tard. N'ayant plus beaucoup de temps j'ai pris l'initiative du retourner avec mon chat puisqu'ils devaient scanner sa puce. Ceci aurait dû être fait bien avant et est pratique courant chez les vétérinaires. Mais ils m'ont dit que c'était a moi de le préciser. Ils m'ont fait payer un frais de 25$ pour remplir 2 lignes de formulaire que j'ai du refaire puisque le premier n'était plus bon dû à leurs certificat de bonne santé non conforme. Ils n'ont absolument rien fait pour m'arranger pu encore comprendre la situation dans laquelle j'étais! Ils vous font croire qu'ils savent comment ça se passe lors d'un voyage alors que pas du tout! Ils m'ont donné des informations mensongères en me disant que le coût du formulaire était de 15$ et puisqu'il est long de 7 pages il ne serait prêt que le prochain jour. La femme de la réception m'a dit formellement que ce coût et celui d'un simple certificat de bonne santé. ... alors qu'un certificat de bonne santé se remet immédiatement. Enfin je ne vous les conseille absolument pas! C'est la pire expérience pour moi et une dose de stress supplémentaire avant mon départ !!!

I've been a loyal customer for 8 years and dr plasse is a good and gentle vet. But this year during the dog's annual checkup, I asked for an eye flush because the tear duct was blocked and he didn't do it and prescribed maxitrol instead. I paid $16 at the pharmacy for it and it didn't work. I called back within 2 weeks to tell them and asked why the flush wasn't done when I had requested it. It is a 25 min drive each way for me and didn't want to keep going back. If it had been done I wouldn't be stuck. The technician (male) was not nice and got me all upset over it and instead of offering to do it for free because I was just there, they just gave me a $16 dollar credit on my file. Fast forward to today, I used the credit to get some allergy pills for the dog, and they inform me that they don't want me to come back and take my business elsewhere due to the incident in March. Well, that's the most idiotic way to run a business, I was in the right, and I'm moving on. They can go to hell.

J’ai fait un suivi hier (vendredi) et la secrétaire m’a promis un retour avant la fermeture, pas de nouvelle, j’ai rappelé avant la fermeture et on m’a promis ce matin samedi et toujours pas d’appel. Très décevant.

My kitten has to get her vaccine in two different week, we got to pay $78 the first examination, we thought it was a yearly overall one. But today, for our second shot of the vaccine, not long after, we got charged $81 for another examination, it doesn't really make sense to us since we already got the examination not long ago. All my pets go here! I wouldn’t trust any other place honestly. My dog Romeo has had two surgeries performed here one for a full teeth extraction due to his breed and being a senior dog. They took the best care of him and called me several times to let me know how it was going it meant a lot since I was so worried! Their price was fair for all that had to be done as well. He made a full recovery and is a completely new dog and is still thriving. Thank you to all the staff and doctors here for having compassion and caring for our fur babies. I highly recommend this vet to everyone.

I recently had to put my sweet Harley to sleep ???? if there is a dog heaven he is definitely there. This is definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done. He was my saviour for over 15 years. Erica, one of the technicians was so kind and caring. She talked through the procedure and arranged it so my son and daughter could be with me. I wanted to also thank Dr Plasse for his kindness to Harley and my family. It means a lot to us that Dr Plasse and Erica were there for us. I hope I never have to do this again, but if I or anyone else I know was in the same situation, I would recommend highly.

This clinique has been extremely unprofessional and my entire experience with them has been horrible. I want to precise here that I never wrote a negative review in my life and the only reason I'm taking the time to do so is because I am extremely concerned about their behaviour. It all started when I brought my dog to the vet for an ear problem and they pointed out that he had some irritation on his paws. They prescribed me meds, which I gave to my dog, without question, as they recommended. Two days later my dog starts having tremours in his legs and seemed to be in pain when walking. As a pet owner, you know when your dog is behaving differently and he is not being himself. In such, I was extemely concerned and I rushed him to the vet. The vet did not take me seriously and said it was nothing alarming and gave my dog some benadryl. I want to precise here that I asked the vet if the medication I had been giving him could be the cause of his behaviour. She said it was impossible that this medication would result in these side effects. Very reluctant of this affirmation, I decided to do my own research. I found out that the drug I had been giving my dog (vanectyl-p) was a type of steroid and that there were in fact many possible side effects such as, and I quote "drowsiness, sluggishness, tremors..". Against my better judgement, I still did at the vet prescribed because I trusted them. The next day my dog was still in pain and now he could barely walk, the benadryl had not helped one bit. And so again I rushed him to the vet. This time, they seemed concerned. They did x-rays, blood tests, which all came back perfectly normal. They suggested I leave my dog at the vet since it was the weekend and I would be unable to reach them sunday if he was not well. Afraid for my dog, I left him in their care because who would take better care of my dog than a professional right? I received a call from the vet on Monday saying that they thought my dog could maybe have a disease called myasthenia gravis. The vet seemed completely unsure of her statement but still decided to give my dog more steroids, this time cortizone because if he in fact had that disease, he would need these meds, and they strongly insisted I keep giving him cortisone and pain killers. She said cortisone could only help my dogs case. At this point, I started becoming extremely concerned. When I went to pick up my dog on Monday he seemed even worst than when i left him, he could not get up on his own and seemed overdrugged. He was skinner that usual and it honestly made me cry to look at him. Thinking back on this whole situation, that my dog started having trouble 2 days after taking new meds, that they had no certainty at all about his condition, that my dog is only 1 year old and was perfectly healthy before taking these meds, I went against their advice. I took my dog home, cut all the meds to see how he would recover on his own until I got the results from the second set of blood tests (required to diagnose myasthenia gravis). Day by Day he was getting better, stronger, more and more able to walk on his own. 1 week later the vet calls with the results, turns out my dog does not have myasthenia gravis. Concerned she advises me to stop giving him cortisone as this would be extremely harmful for a dog that did not have the disease. Good thing I did not listen to them right? What if I had trusted them and given him the meds? Their behaviour is honestly ridiculous and so unprofessional. We are supposed to be able to trust the care of our animals to these people and all they did was make my dogs condition worse. Everyone makes mistakes, but at least have the dilligence to exhaust all options before prescribing harmful drugs to a pet when it might not be necessary. I am honestly shocked about this whole situation. I wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone.

I brought my cat Daisy here in December and unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to have her euthanized. The team at this clinic was wonderful. From the receptionist to the technician's to the vet, I cannot thank them enough for their sympathy and compassion on that difficult day. My mother-in-law phoned them on Wednesday to book a set of shots for her cat. The appointment was confirmed for Friday. Yesterday evening they called to let her know she needed to provide a credit card for a $25 hold in order to keep the appointment. (Credit cards are not supposed to be taken over the phone). As it was our card she would use, she had to wait to get our card details but stated she would pay in person when she arrived. She explained this over the phone and was told that was alright. This morning, they called again to tell her they had cancelled her appointment because she “gave a story” and that “someone else needed to see the vet more”. If it was an emergency, that should have been relayed to her, as I can understand if a vet needs to be taken away from an appointment to deal with a very sick case. The woman’s response: “it doesn’t matter”. I am in absolute awe. I cannot believe they would cancel like this and then have the audacity not to book her a new appointment. “I’m sorry ma’am but this is too bad” was the woman’s response. This behaviour is outrageous, rude and blatantly unprofessional. The woman was extremely rude on the phone. If this is how they treat the owners, imagine how they treat your pet. We will NEVER be coming to this vet again and I strongly encourage anyone else who might consider booking with them to do the same.

Usually tend to only one problem at a time even if your pet might have another problem. So they get you to pay a $75 fee twice. They often leave out details a pet owner should know. Also watch out they don’t bill you for products not received. After all that they still show no comprehension of the situation and will send you elsewhere because of their errors. Better vets elsewhere... Don’t be fooled by the building they bought it by charging people several times when some things should have been done right away. Dr Plasse is the best vet. I have already referred 3 different friends to him and 1 of my friends went to 2 different vets and spent over $2000.00 and they still didn’t solve the poor dog’s issue. 1 visit to Dr Plasse and yes after 2 months this dog had diarrhea no longer had any longer and yes was very responsible cost as well.
