Following surgery at l'Université de Montréal's faculty of veterinary medicine, the surgeon consulted the oncologist Dr. Maude Touret about the pathologist's report on a malignant mass removed from my dog Frodo. It made sense to turn to Dr. Touret for followup treatment. I am very happy with that choice. Besides her evident technical mastery, Dr. Touret is exemplary in patiently and frankly explaining the medical issues at hand, and her prognosis. She is also exemplary at quickly responding to clients' questions in between appointments. I unreservedly recommend her services.

Being an animal rescuer for more than 20 years, I've met plenty of veterinarians during this time and even though most of them were very competent, it was still difficult to find one that combined both excellence in his/her field and all the other qualities that distinguish a great human being. But Dr Touret is one of these people and I'm so happy and grateful to have met her at a time when I thought I was going to loose my cat, Rosie, because of a breast cancer. Not only she gave me the best treatement plan for Rosie, but she honestly answered all my questions and e-mails - even during week-ends- and she sent me documentation regarding the treatement and the specific medication (chemio) for my cat. And yes, statistics and clinical studies are very important in order for you to know what to expect in the future, but that doesn't mean that she treated Rosie as a number, not only for one second. Also, Dr Touret went out of her way to help me get the best treatment for Rosie: she personally came and pick up my cat for the chemio sessions held at the hospital in Laval and brought my cat back in the evening, cause I couldn't leave from work and go Laval. Personally I've never heard of a doctor doing something like that; she was amazing and she saved us both. My Rozi is still under her supervision, but she is cancer free now and I can enjoy her every day thanks to this wonderful doctor. Terrible service from Dr. Touret! This vet has no interest in helping your pet at all instead they just want to sell you expensive medications. They administer unnecessary tests and schedule excessive appointments which have no positive impact and instead cause more harm then good. You think you are doing the best for your loved one in a stressful time and they take advantage of you because of that. The vet assistants were cruel and abusive. They acted fearful administering a blood test and did not know how to handle small pets without abuse. It was like they walked in that day from the street and started the job that day. They don’t even seem to like animals at all. Dr. Touret specifically states statistics as if they were facts when after careful review they are completely false and misrepresented. When her treatment causes grave danger and side effects she is no where to be found and truly does not care. Avoid this place and vet at all costs. You are better off throwing your money away.

Just got back from my appointment with Dr. Touret, and all I can say is wow! I went to her to receive a second opinion about my dog's MCT removal surgery. She went through the pathology reports in great detail, answered every question, and put my mind at ease. It is very obvious Dr. Touret loves what she does and is not only fantastic with animals, but a great people person too. Her and her team adequately schedule appointments so you do not feel rushed and leave feeling like they care about your animal just as much as you do. Highly recommended!

Our dog has been diagnosed with cancer a year and a half ago. Since our first encounter, Dr Touret discussed with us our options, regularly followed up during the treatment so that our dog stays not only alive, but she enjoys it. She answered promptly every single email I sent her whenever a side effect was affecting our pooch, adjusting the medication, always keeping a close check. And when, due to COVID-19 everything closed, and the regular follow up consultation had to be cancelled, Dr Touret contacted us to see how the dog is doing, renewed the prescription so the treatment can continue. Six months ago, my local vet diagnosed Khronos, my adult Australian shepherd with an aggressive strain of cancer. At this time, the cancer had quietly grown to a fairly large size and needed to be removed surgically. My vet had reached out to CV Laval and there was a doctor on staff with an extensive background in oncology. Within a matter of days I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Maude Touret at the Monkland Veterinarian Clinic. After much thought I decided to proceed with the surgery and the treatments ensuing. This was the best decision I could have made. Khronos went though the surgery without any mishaps and began his treatments. Throughout the entire process Dr. Touret was professional but at the same time very caring. Whenever I had any questions or concerns, she would reach out by email or phone. Even during the occasional weekend. Dr. Touret is one of the most dedicated and compassionate doctors I have ever met. Throughout the surgery and therapy she treated Khronos as if he were her own. Today, 6 months after the surgery, Khronos has finished his final dose of medication and to my excitement it is as if it never happened. Without a doubt, if not for the expertise and dedication of Dr. Touret, Khronos would not be here today. I would highly recommend Dr. Touret to anyone wanting to work with a doctor with in depth knowledge of every aspect of oncology. There is no one better in my opinion.
