The vet is very uncaring when it comes to the animals. Didn't even want to do surgery on my rat and when I insisted, he made the price impossible and sent us on our way even after refusing payment plans. Won't be coming here again. UPDATE: My rats health declined and so I called to see about euthanasia for her and was quoted an extremely ridiculous amount for a small rat. I ended up having to humanely put her down myself this morning. To say that I am disgusted with this "Vet's" lack of humanity would be a gross understatement. He clearly cares very little about the animals he is treating and only cares about lining his pockets.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. There inability to diagnose my friend's puppy led to the dog's eventual death after thousands of dollars on wrong medications and specialized diet. We helped them pay for some of it. My cat ate some ribbon and became obstructed, had not pooped in 24 hours so we got this vet to take an x-ray. It took him and 3 techs to take the x-ray on my cat as she was scared. And this is after I brought her into the back room because the vet couldn't figure out how to pick up my cat without her jumping out of his arms. He promised that within 4 hours the radiologist would be in contact with us and would confirm the next course of action. I was syringe feeding my cat at home because I knew she was dehydrated despite the vet saying she wasn't and refusing to give her IV fluids. 7 hours later I called them and was offhandedly told that a radiologist hadn't managed to see the x-ray yet. It was late by then. The next morning we spoke with a different veterinary office that recognized correctly that this was a medical emergency and gave us a referral to Canada West. She immediately received IV fluids and spent 4 days there as they saved her. An important note, this vet office never phoned or followed up with us about the x-ray or how my cat was doing. The final straw is we caught a stray cat that we've been feeding at night for over a year with the help of a cat rescue organization. That organization brought that cat there without our knowledge to be neutered, and the poor cat died on the operating table. No exams or blood tests or pre-anesthetic tests were performed. Meaning the dosage and kind of anesthetic to use is a total guesswork gamble. Plus when the cat reacted poorly the were too incompetent to reverse the narcotic in a timely fashion. This was a young cat that was a healthy weight. He shouldn't have died. This is repeated malpractice.

I've always had a good experience at Killarney Vet. Dr. Manga has seen my pet rat several times, is always well informed and attentive. I find the entire staff friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced.

My senior cat has been a patient for almost 10 years, very pleased with the staff and Dr's.

I remain unconvinced that places like this don't just pull prices from brown orifices. It's not a far cry from: "Cost for the Doctor to use a scalpel and not a spoon: 410 dollars. Cost for having air in the room: 14 dollars. Cost for the animal having fur: 47 dollars."

Thank you so much for taking my little baby in on such short notice. You were very understanding and accommodating. The staff here were very caring and compassionate after my poor little female bichon frise nearly got mauled to death by a giant male racoon. Thank heavens there are still people who care out there!

Took my little girl here for a spay and I was honestly hesitant at first with the reviews seemingly all over the place. However, I’m glad I did, as the ladies behind the counter were courteous and friendly and my pupper was well taken care of. It was also priced competitively amongst the other animal hospitals in the area. ????????????????

Really great vets here. We've probably been to the most of the vets in Vancouver, but these guys have are a pleasant surprise. They don't overcharge for unnecessary procedures, which is a big pro. Good front desk team too.

I just went onto the internet to see the hours of operation and was shocked at all of these reviews. My family has been bringing all of our pets here for the last 10 years or so and we've had nothing but great experiences with the doctors and staff. One of our dogs has had numerous surgeries for many different health conditions and they've always been very gentle with her. For the most part my parents were the ones interacting with the vets however since I just got my own dog I've been taking him. I find the best way to get information is to ask. Ask what they're quoting, ask what it is with tax, ask if you could perhaps get it somehow at a lower price or if there's something your dog doesn't actually need. I think maybe the doctor's are so exposed to this information they forget that we don't fully understand what everything means. But if you don't understand something or know something it's your responsibility to ask. EVERYONE KNOWS VET BILLS ARE EXPENSIVE, ask as many questions as possible and they will be honest and open with you. They've often waived the consultation fee when I've brought in two dogs. They'll do things to help you out. I've noticed in the past year they've hired new staff that are super attentive to my dogs needs and health. And overall they're much better on customer service and having a genuine interest in getting to know you and your pet. In one instance my dog wasn't comfortable with going with the staff to the back room for her surgery so they let me put her in the kennel after putting down a fresh blanket. There I saw the back room and it was very clean – like you would expect a hospital to be. I gave 4 stars because I believe there's always room for improvement, and nobody's perfect. But they're reliable and I trust them with my little baby.

prices are unreasonable I have found another vet clinic with good service for good price. The environment in this clinic is not welcoming at all, the doctor is not as informative as he should be. Sorry to say but I have to share my experience.

Olivia Chan

The vet techs are super nice and if you get the young vet, it'll be easier to talk to him. I'm giving it a 3 because they charged $30 for bandaid change. I had to visit every 2 days for my dog to change her bandaid. I'm also giving it a 3 because I trusted that the vet would thoroughly check my dog when I said she was in a lot of pain and that I think she was bloated. She was screaming in pain when we arrived and heavily panting. He came back saying that she just probably has a lot of gas from panting a lot and would check again. After he checked again she was in serious danger and had to do an xray. We ended up having to do an emergency procedure to flush her stomach. However, her body was too weak to recover from the procedure and I unfortunately lost my girl. I'm not blaming the vet, for her passing. They did the best they could do. She was 16...but I believe it's their job to do a thorough check.

Jennifer Mitchell

Worst people to deal with, very rude. One lady told me under her breath but in clear ear shot that I was going to have a long wait when I refused to let them take my pet right away, instead of waiting in the room with him like we did the day before. I'd rather wait with my pet and than speak with the vet. They were not compassionate or careing at all. I DO NOT recommend this vet. I took my pet to another emergency hospital instead and was treated very well in contrast to this place. Find somewhere else to take your pet. Avoid this place at all costs!

Bonnie McCoy

If you love your pet go someplace else. This place is not a hospital and Dr. Mangat only cares about one thing and its money. My husband and I took our cat here because he was ill. Dr. Mangat didn't even come to check on him in the observation room. The nurse took his weight and brought him immediately in the back where they proceeded to do an X-ray and blood test. I stayed in the observation room where I heard my cat screaming and wailing. I should have gotten him out of there. I regret not having done it. Our cat came home comletely terrorized, limping and bleeding. I am leaving this review here so that others won't make the same mistake my husband and I did.

The bad ratings on here are a bit perplexing to me. I just returned from Killarney Vet with Kirby, my 2year 6 month old Husky. Kirby has been here 3 times for the same allergic reaction type ailment on his front paw. Each time the Vet AND his two female front end staff/vet assistants have always been very kind, sympathetic, patient and professional. Since Kirby was born he has been here about 7-8 times for a variety of health and checkups, all the same consistent great service and care. Previously, my American Staff , Rocky, had to be put to sleep here . He too visited Killarney Vet as needed thru out his 15 year life span. Before Rocky, my Beagle , Max, also lived 15 years and was brought into Killarney Vet for shots, checkups, a surgery or two and I or any of my family members ( father/brother) have never complained about rude/poor treatment or any incompetence . THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW----- just telling you my own personal , numerous Vet experiences here thru out the decades. Only thing i cannot judge or complain about is their fees...only becaUse this is really the only vet we take our family dogs too and when your pet is in need of vet help, i can't go around price shopping while my dog suffers, you just go with who you know and trust you dont get gouged too much when the bill is presented.

Roberta Elson

Cat's operation & aftercare was good. Staff were kind, caring. A selection of special diet food is available.

Great help with all your pet needs and hopefully it's just a check up

This is an awesome clinic. The staff are very friendly and super caring. Prices are very reasonable. There are three dogs in our family and each one of them has been seen by Dr. Mangat over the years. Two of my dogs are very timid around vets but Dr. Mangat's gentle manner seems to resonate with them. It's said that animals can sense if someone has good or bad intentions more quickly than a human can, in this case I trust their instincts. When it was time for our beloved 14 year old Molson to be put down, the staff and Dr. Mangat were extremely compassionate and very considerate of our feelings. They each took the time to explain the difficult decision we had to make and to give us options without being aggressive. It was a painful decision to make but everyone at Killarney Animal Hospital made it much easier. Molson was treated with dignity as befitting a cherished member of our family. Words can not convey how grateful we are at the wonderful, caring service that is provided by everyone at Killarney Animal Hospital.

I came to this vet because it was close to my place at the time. The stars are for the girls at the reception, they are always so friendly when we come visit. I feel like the veterinarian is just there because he has to make money. I don’t see him truly being passionate about my dog (maybe it’s just my dog). Although I do see a lot of good reviews here. This is just my personal experience.

Can't say enough good things about this clinic. My cat has kidney disease she is 13 years old and I took her to island vet to diagnose the problem, cost me 700 for x-ray blood work etc. To treat my cat from 845 to 630 the next day I was quoted 600$and then transfer her to 24 hr facility for up to 1000$ for 24hrs. Killarney quoted me 691 for 3 days of a kidney flush, included food antibiotics etc everything for this service. I picked my cat up today I had to buy some more kidney medicine for future use but they didn't charge me one cent more than what they quoted. Great experience if it wasn't for here I'd have put my cat down. She responded great to the treatment.

I didn't have the opportunity to take my guinea pig in to see them, but they were very helpful on the phone and the prices they quoted me for the examination and tests needed for my guinea pig were half that of other vets I had contacted.

If you love your animal, DO NOT go here. Dr Mangot choked my animal dangling them in the air sideways by their neck while their eyes bulged in terror, and thought it was a normal way to hold them, and got confrontational and angry when we questioned him.

Came here after a family friend recommendation to have our Cleo neutered. The appointment was one week lead time. This other place in Burnaby has a wait time of 6-8 months wait and they forget you’re on the list. ???? Anyway Killarney Animal Hospital has a very courteous, polite and helpful staff. We were explained in detail pre and post operation. Will definitely switch to them for all our veterinary needs in the future. Cleo says thanks!!!!❤️❤️❤️

One Word - LOVE! These people love your animals. I can't even express how thankful I am to the staff here and the Vet especially. I spent the last 3 days dealing with dishonest and frankly cruel vets in New Westminster. Very thorough. Very rwassuring. Even when I had believed she needed further testing (due claims from the other vet) and asked if I should get said tests, they said it would be unnecessary at the moment based on the cats thorough exam and reports of her health. I saw them deal with multiple families and their furbabies and I noticed that these people including the receptionist sincerely love animals and want to help. If you want a vet who genuinely isn't in it for the money this is your best bet in the lower mainland for a honest clinic. I have researched almost all clinics/hospitals. I will be from now on taking my cats to this clinic for annual exams and anything that my furbabies may need. Thank you so much kilarney animal hospital

We took our beloved cat Cairo here back in December of 2021. He has been breathing rapidly and showing little energy or appetite. The clinic had issues with him in terms of handling but ill get back to that. He was xrayed and kept there for 3 hours. We came back and looked at the xrays and were asked if we had any perfumes or changes like aerosols in the house or if he had Asthma. We said he had made gurgly noises breathing since he was a kitten but not sure if it was asthma as it was stable. The vet said it was likely an infection and gave him antibiotics and steroids and to come back if those didn't work. He was bleeding from one of his claws and just looked terrified. We took him home and he improved somewhat but the breathing returned in mid February. We opted to bring him to another Vet and my wife called the office to get the xray emailed. We were told it was coming but despite calling back 3x for it we never received it. We went to VCA Animal Emergency and the staff immediately took care of him doing thorough work. They asked Killarney for the records and received everything except the Xray which they had to detail over the phone. Why were our Xrays never released? They are ours by right! This infuriates me...but back to our poor Cairo. The vet came back with the diagnosis of End Stage Heart Disease. That his poor heart was fibrillating and abdomen filled with fluid. He was just a shadow of himself when we took him in that day and in obvious distress. We had to part with him that day as there was no treatment and anything we did would just prolong his suffering. My wife and I are in absolute agony. Why was this not detected? Why was no thorough examination done? Why were our xrays never returned? Could we at that stage have made his last few months better? Instead of the shock of taking him for help and returning without him? I would NOT recommend this clinic and if you do get a 2nd opinion or insist on thorough examination. We do thank the staff at VCA who were night and day better in their care and concern than Killarney. Cairo you will be missed my little dude...love you always.

Used to take my cat to this vet clinic years ago when they were the local ones in my neighborhood until I moved out of province. I moved back in province again and because they were so great at what they do and they were much more affordable than the local vets where I live, I drive the hour and a half to take my dogs to that vet clinic now.

I would recommend Dr. Mangat and the Killarney Animal Hospital to anyone that is looking for a caring vet, better than any vet I've met in this area of Vancouver. I know too often a visit to the vet is traumatic - whether "it's time", or there's accident or illness - I can only say they are very kind and compassionate in any circumstance. I have been here many times with my own pets, and recommended family and friends to go here when they've had bad experiences elsewhere. I have been taking my pets here for years, and the staff is wonderful. The hours are also very convenient for our busy family.

Waris Boonyasiriwat

Great clinic, lovely staff and vet. The front desk lady always welcomes us with a smile (sometimes her orange tabby assistant Oliver shows up too), and the vet handled our cat like a pro. Our cat didn't even notice the vaccination. It's further than my closest vet clinic, but I don't ever hesitate to drive extra 15 minutes to come here.

My dog Daisy had been under the weather and not able to go to the washroom. My husband and I were able to get her in right away. The front desk and the dr were very nice and accommodating considering covid. We did x-rays and blood work. She had something stuck in her stomach that the dr couldn’t see through an X-ray so the photos were sent to an endoscopy specialist. The specialist called back within an hr and and said it looked like corn on the cob. He came right in and was able to remove it before it passed into her intestines which would have been much worse! We hadn’t had corn on the cob in months so someone’s garbage in my neighbourhood didn’t quite make it in but dogs were will find anything! Anyways, rambling on here. Daisy is happy and healthy living her best life! Thanks again Killarney animal hospital!

The doctor decided to ignore my kitten's symptoms when we went in for a check up and I later found out she had lung problems from a vet at a different location. My other kitten was bandaged much too tightly that it had almost deteriorated her thigh muscle. 0/10 do not recommend.

Gee Geronimo

I've had mixed experiences with this place. 1. I had a cat who was vomiting for no apparent reason. They kept him over the weekend for observation but the doctor was not in when I dropped him off so I was told to call back later that day for a diagnosis. I did and was told "I don't know". Called again and again over the course of the weekend and each time was told "I don't know". Picked him up the following Monday and he was fine, but being told "I don't know", no matter how politely, is really unhelpful and does nothing to ease a pet owner's stress. 2. Brought a kitten in for a spay and they glued the incision so unevenly that the kitten's nipples were misaligned. Now, I know this is purely aesthetic. The whole point of the spay is so that the kitten will never have a use for her nipples. And once the fur grows back it all covers it anyway. But I think it says something about how little care or thought the doctor put into the job. 3. A kitten suddenly had a swollen eye and runny nose. Was told by this vet that she had a chest infection. She was given eye cream and some oral meds. She suffered and only got worse over the course of a week. Brought her to another vet, was given a different diagnosis and medication, and was immediately better. 4. This was a very positive experience. My kitten had an accident with her collar and I brought her in bloodied, face swollen and scratched up. I was overtly upset coming in and the vet assistant was very sympathetic and did a good job ensuring me my kitten was going to be ok. Picked her up at the end of the day and she was cleaned and seemed happy. Also paid a much lower fee than I expected given the condition she was in and the meds she needed for her swollen face. 5. I've been in many times for regular check ups and every time my cats are handled gently, all questions answered, and all concerns addressed. This clinic charges much less for shots and check ups than other clinics I've been to.

**ATTEN ALL** Specially for ppl who want to change to this clinic We used to go to vet in the Port moody but we changed our mind to go to closer one from our home as our baby will be tired after surgery. The reception was absolutely rude and no professional at all. First time when I called to inquire about the price for neutering SHE said $200+taxes/fee. I asked her if we have to do comprehensive blood test as this is our first time to visit their clinic and said no require as long as cat is healthy which is odd answer too. At that time I haven’t had my work schedule yet so I told her I will call her back to make an appointment. 2 days later(July 10, Saturday 6:50pm) my husband called to make an appointment and of course we were thinking $200+taxes AS PER PREVIOUS INQUIRY and the lady said price will be $300+taxes/fee. We asked her why and why every person gave different price, she said “It doesn’t matter I just checked our price list and it’s $300 plus taxes/fee.” They should give RIGHT information to the client aren’t they? Or the reception is the one who made decision for the price? Also the reception lady didn’t need to be rude like that as well. She even put us on hold without saying which is not professional as well. Miscommunication could be happen I totally understand. However It would’ve nicer if the lady treated us with professional and nice way. That is reception’s job to let all new clients know accurate information and fully aware of what you guys have to charge for the medical service. Also she mentioned that if you guys are looking for cheap GO TO BCSPCA which I didn’t ask maybe she thought we REALLY care about money? Silly haha. We don’t care the price but we do care if the clinic care the pet and their owner too. The reception should've mentioned that the price will be up to weight. But she didn’t mention at all. I honestly don’t know what just happened but can’t believe it. I just leave this review for ppl who wants to change vet. Don’t ever try this clinic. I won’t never recommend this clinic if anyone ask.

I have to rate them one star. The vet is good, while staffs were the worst I've ever met in a vet clinic. I have been to like 10 vet clinics in the past 20 years and this is my recommendation : DO NOT go to this clinic, there are so many great vet around. Especially if you own a dog, they only like cats ;') WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. EXCEPT THE VET WAS NICE.

Helpful and kind staff and vet. Had two kitties spayed here and both recovered beautifully.

The lady at the front desk was very rude. I brought my cat for a Vokra post adoption check up and was not allowed to see or speak to the vet due to covid-19 precautions but the receptionist was wearing her mask under her chin. It wasn't clear from adoption's papers whether my cat had been spayed and I asked the receptionist to please ask the vet to check for an incision. She replied that if it wasn't on the medical records it wasn't done. I insisted but honestly don't think she did . As she returned my cat 10 minutes later she said that my understandably frightened cat was "difficult" and definitely not spayed. Well, the former foster parent later sent me records that confirm my cat was indeed spayed! I find it completely irresponsible and professionally unethical for a vet to potentially put a defenceless animal through the trauma of an unnecessary surgery! Had I not shared my concerns with the foster mom that's what would have happened to my kitty.

Halie Devine

Helped my kitty without going the wallet. Thankful for the caring staff

Once I got in, the service and product selection was great. However, I was left on the sidewalk waiting to buy a bag of cat food while an elderly patron sat in a chair inside. We all want to support you and recognize the need to respect protocols. However, why do you not periodically check your lineup outside? And, if you stick your head outside to see if an appointment is there do not pretend the two other people do not exist. Just say hello and ask what we are waiting for. Put a couple of chairs out there for patrons who need to sit down. We are all busy and extra pressed for time. And… when a patron asks polite questions about service do not dismiss them.

This "animal hospital" does not care about animals or their well-being, they only want your money. They will not tell you what is wrong with your pet because they want you to get as many tests as possible and charge you. I went in with my cat as a precaution because she had been throwing up. She had no other symptoms. They insisted I take her in, get x-rays, almost convinced me to get blood tests without giving me any explanation as to what was wrong with her, but my instincts thought she was fine. She turned out to be constipated! $250 to tell me what they already knew, but didn't want to tell me right away so they could fleece me. I feel embarassed that I even brought my pet to them and I feel a huge amount of money was stolen from me. This is a shameful practice.

Something is not right with how this clinic handles animals.. This was my cat's first clinic and he absolutely hated going. He started become really aggressive at the clinic and was muzzled for check ups. One time the nurse was unable to carry him out of the back and I had to do it myself. Another time he came home with a broken nail that was obviously trimmed too short (without my permission). Front desk was also incredibly rude. I switched to another vet due to location but my boy was excellent. He was super gentle with checkups and the staff all praised him for being a good boy.

I honestly had to come here and give these guys a 5 star review. If I could, I'd give them 6. My dog was acting really weird so I decided we should see a vet. Turns out my Spock had a urinary blockage due to some bladder stones and he needed surgery. Even though he was in a lot of pain, the 2 staff ladies that were helping the doctor handled him with a lot of patience, in order not to stress him more. That right there was a big relief for me, just to see how sensitive they are to the pet's needs. They gave us a quote for all the services Spock would need, and I was relieved to see it wasn't going to cost us as much as I was expecting. They really do have great prices. They made sure I saw the x-ray images and explained how the process would be. By the end of the day Spock came home and again, more instructions on how to proceed with after care, both by the doctors and the staff. They booked us in for a recheck the following day for no extra cost and I am so happy and relieved to say that Spock is doing much better now. This clinic took us in last minute, provided the surgery at the same day, treated both me and my dog really well and they been following up with him ever since. They have already called twice this past week to know how Spock was doing. They have multiple doctors and multiple nurses/staff members. Every single time I went there I was treated really well. My whole family will now start going to this clinic. 10/10

Let me first say my dog HATES the vets especially male vets..but the staff here were amazing and totally made apollo Vist easier ! Everything from the initial first phone call to we left the office the service was amazing! The ladies upfront were very welcoming and knowledgeable....the vet was very honest and straight to the point he and wasn't trying to sell me things that my apollo didn't need ..... yes you have to wait outside for your turn but its covid its like that at 95% of vets during this time .just wait your turn when the person leaves the waiting room you may enter ! Definitely recommending to my friends and family

My dogs always love to come here! Amazing staff and very professional.

Our dog Buster had tumor the sized of a tennis ball. After a debating it for awhile we finally decided to get the tumor removed, as we saw he was in pain. We went to a Richmond Vet and considering our dogs age (10), they billed us @ 2200 and told us there was no guarantee of the success of his surgery because of his age. A friend recommended us to here. In the end they charged us 800$ and Buster is doing well now. Would definitely recommend.

Good doctors. Terrible customer service with their “new manager” and “new policy”. This new policy makes us accommodate to their manager’s working hours before 3:30pm during the weekdays and they only provide services under this manager’s supervision. Used to be a regular customer at this vet for 3 years but this time around the receptionist refused to take any appointment after 3:00pm because their “manager” has to get off work. I have a job myself too during daytime. Ridiculous. New policy and new manager? Alright. Then I’ll find a new vet for myself too. Bye now.

Dawn Horn

Great prices, I'm amazing prices I've been charged double or more at other places and they are always available if I need them. They are amazing with my dog momo and they were just as good with her puppies. I totally recommend them 1000%.

Lyle Truden

Great service, friendly staff, took very good care of my sick kitty.

STAY AWAY!! I used to volunteer for this animal hospital and it is run by a bunch of young ladies who have no respect for pet owners. All they want is your money and I have witnessed first hand a vet technician lie to an owner about the cost of their service. Owner's bill was quoted $300 more than it actually was incase "they needed any extra money around here". The vet technician actually said that!!!

After searching for a good veterinary we found Killarney animal hospital and we’re not going anywhere else. All the staff it’s very friendly, helpful and professional, especially Dr. Sandhu. Prices are reasonable too.

Always very good to me and my cats.

Terrible vet, they really don't care about patients, they refuse to follow up, then charge you extra when they miss something. They totally missed the diagnostician of my cats narrow urethra thus almost killing my cat after telling me he was all better, Disgusting staff rude & judgmental receptionist , the one good thing was the pleasant cat in the waiting room.

K M

Definetly would not recommended this place or go back. They did not let me choose what I wanted to pay for. I was just told the diagnoses and then they put in shots and pills. I had asked for the prices of the medications before they put everything into the cat, but they only told me how much one pill would be, out of 4 different medications. There were some things that I paid for that I would not have consented to if they had told me what they were. I feel ripped off, but I didnt know what to do when it was time to pay the bill because it was too late to say no. They also handled my 17 pound adult cat by picking it up to put it on the table by the neck, twice.

Talya Perla

I came here after a bad experience with Champlain Pet Clinic. I'm glad I switched vets because the people at Killarney Animal Hospital have been super kind and accomodating. Their prices are very fair, too.

Agree with other reviewers. They misdiagnosed FLEAS on my dog, spent 3 visits there trying to figure out skin condition. In the meantime, all my cats and dog got fleas. Also, when we had to spay our dog (she was adopted and older female) they did a terrible terrible job. She is in pain for over a week and she still has scar tissues around the incision. I regret ever using this vet for any of my cats and my poor dog.

My experience with this clinic is of a more professional kind, I went in there as a student for a work experience program offered at my secondary school. I was supposed to spend five days at the clinic, observing, learning, helping out, and gaining a perspective at how this kind of job works. I wanted to gain experience and possibly get help with my career choice. First of all, the staff was very rude, ignorant, and barely even bothered to say hi. I heard many conversations they had among each other as I was working along with them. They back-stabbed basically every single pet owner, saying how uselessly they take car of their pets, how much they are asking about the bills that they have been charged (vet bills are usually high, every sensible person would ask), how they do not understand their explanations, etc. The list could go on and on. Most of the time, they were just sitting around, eating junk food and watching videos. Second of all, I do not mind working and since this was supposed to be a "work experience", I expected to be quite busy for the week. However, I really did not expect to be employed as a janitor, cleaning every mess they made while they sat around talking about what kind of purse they want to buy. They gave me no breaks and did not bother to show me around and explain how things work at their clinic. Thirdly, their rooms at the back where they keep laundry and pets that are staying with them for a while, are filthy. Since I was told to do all of their laundry, I saw it first-hand, it really was revolting, especially when you take into consideration that it is a hospital. Even their offices and operating rooms are messy and relatively dirty. I ended up leaving my position after one and a half days and I told them what I think about their mess. If you are just planning to get your dog vaccinated, maybe it is OK to go there since they are the cheapest in the area and vets can get pretty expensive. However, if your pet needs anything beyond that, I strongly recommend you stay away.

Very friendly staff and vet is willing to help. My puppy swallowed a small toy and needed an emergency procedure. They were able to connect with a specialist in time and operate the procedure. Needed to pick my puppy up after their regular business hours and they were still patient to talk to me. Giving a 4 star just because it was my first experience with them. Hope my puppy and I will get the same quality of service in the future, and I will give a 5 star.

Had a wonderful experience at Killarney. The doctor is very nice and knows what he’s doing. Brought my cat in for a spay and Dr.Mangat took the time to answer all my questions as this was my first time coming to a vet. I was also very happy with the recovery and will definitely continue coming to this clinic.

Tyler Hamade

Dr.Mangat is exceptional. Him and the staff there are all friendly and take great care of my two cats. Id highly recommend this place for pets.

I live nearby and the price seems reasonable. However, bad experience with the staffs. Better find my pets a better vet clinic.

Jacqueline San Juan

I agree with Ryan, this rating is completely unfair. All of the girls I have met have been wonderful, and Dr. Mangat is an amazing veterinarian. When our dog had a phantom limp, he was the first out of three veterinarians to actually spend more than five minutes on him. He took his time, asked us lots of questions, and went and retrieved a few medical books to show us what he thought was wrong with our dog. He did not push crazy, expensive, and unnecessary medical procedures on us, because he knew that our dog didn’t need it - unlike all the previous vets we had gone to. Our dog is happy and healthy, and Dr. Mangat was a helping hand in that! Their prices are reasonable, they treat us and our pets well, and they definitely know what they’re doing. Thank you Killarney Animal Hospital!

Great team. They taked care with carefull your animal love it and trust

Britt Langan

I love this animal hospital so much they were so nice and caring for my dog and myself I really felt comfortable leaving my dog in there care, I think the prices are fair and the vet was very informative I also really loved the service we got from the girls at the front desk. Will forsure be my go to place from now on.

Amanda B

I normally don't write any review BUT this animal hospital pushed me to the point where I suggest all of the pet owners should NOT go to this hospital. The staffs are rude, impolite, they don't care about your pets. RIDICULOUS. They are absolutely cold-hearted. For your own sake, for your pets sake. Really, I mean it. Pay a little more, go to an animal hospital that the staffs are polite and friendly. The owner of this hospital should hire someone nice, customer service is the key. Especially the so called manager and the front desk. RUDE af. Ridiculous.

They took me on an hour's notice as a new patient because my dog had an abcess. Had him home the same day. Dr. Mangat was very reassuring and the staff were awesome. I am so happy to have found this vet when others turned us away because we were new clients. This practice just cared about treating my dog and reassuring me. I highly recommend Dr. Mangat and his staff.

Ben Spies

This "animal hospital" is poorly managed, the doctors there have no compassion nor respect towards the animals they treat. All they care about is money. I made a mistake of bringing my dog their back in 2011. Please do your pets a favour and go elsewhere.

Started going there after my cat went missing and ended up at Vokra, they used this animal hospital to check my cat. They are fantastic! Been 3 years now... vets and staff are so nice and helpful! Had an emergency, and the vet on call rushed from home to open early for me a couple years back. Took in 2 cutest little stray brothers and again the best service and help! They care & combined with great knowledge, the best!!

Is vet is only open for extra tests to be done on your animal. Every time we visit the clinic he wants to do blood work or dental surgery. I wanted my dog's prescription to be faxed to another clinic to fill which he signed on Sunday when I called on Monday to have a new prescription for additional tablets to be faxed he refused unless my dog comes in for a blood test. I transferred my dog's file toV veterinary hospital right away. The staff are also dishonest as they didn't speak to the vet but then said the vet is unwilling to sign the amended prescription. Pet owners beware. This clinic is like Atlas animal hospital. Bad service, untruthful and untrustworthy!!!!

Jordan Llabore

The people here were great. They honestly saved my dogs life and i couldn’t thank them much more, i highly recommend this vet clinic for anyone looking to get your dog spayed, they will take good care of your fur baby! Thank you so much! :)

This "hospitable" has killed a stray cat that was brought there for neutering by overdosing the animal because they couldnt have even be bothered to weigh the animal before administering the anesthetic; and has almost killed my sister's cat because they misdiagnosed it and killed my friends dog due because they wrote him the wrong drug prescription. NEVER BRING YOUR PET HERE!

P.s

Great environment, service, staff and doctors. I would definitely recommend this animal hospital. Also, great and reasonable prices. Recently I moved to this area, I was looking for a pet hospital to have good srevice and price for my dogs. One of my dog had knee surgery there and now she is doing very well. I am so happy to find this place.

They are trustworthy and aren’t just trying to make as much money on you as they can at each visit like many other vets are. Good covid protocols too.

I will never go back to this clinic. The girl on the phone was exceptionally RUDE! I offered to hold my cat while they administer subcutaneous fluid; they refused; I ended up opening the door and saw my cat on the floor! with 3 people trying to poke her to administer the fluid - it was a complete gong show! My opinion is that the clinic is filthy. There is a very heavy smell of food from the kitchen restaurant right beside this clinic. Can you imagine your animal being sick with no fresh air and smelling that.

I normally never write reviews but I think it is best for everyone if I tell you my experience with Killarney. I booked a dental visit for my cat without reading existing reviews. After reading the reviews, I was almost going to cancel my appointment but I thought 'maybe the reviews are wrong and I should give this place a shot'. Don't make the same mistake I did. When I called them, they gave me a quote of $140 for the dental visit which seemed reasonable. They did not include the IV in their price and they also left out taxes, so it was around 220 total. I would have shopped around more if they gave me that price. I would say that the staff was 'friendly' which is why I didn't give 1 star and I feel like they could have been worse but here's what they did wrong: - Didn't really explain the procedure and the correct price - Told me to sign the waiver without actually explaining any risks - Offered a free nail clipping but didn't actually do it - In general, they didn't really explain anything at all, they just took him, did it, and I picked him up. If I am shelling out over 200 bucks I want to know what's going on. I did get the procedure a day after I called which was good but now I understand why they weren't so busy. Please, read this review and give a different place your business. Good luck!

Dr. Chahal is the best. He explains everything thoroughly and is very patient. Ask for him! Christina the office manager is very knowledgeable and kind.

i had the terrible experience with this place, not because the staff and vets were rude, but because; 1. when my kitten was sick, she was making all sorts or noises.. one vet told me that its something she will grow out of. 2. she was prescribed amoxicillin twice because she was making wheezy nosies. 3. the OWNER of the hospital took an x-ray, and told me she had an enlarged heart and a half collapsed lung, he said he would send it off and that we would know the results of what the radiologist said on monday. 4. don't call you and tell you anything. i had to play cat and mouse from monday to thursday night. 5. when the radiologist finally did look at my kittens x-ray, the vet was suppose to call and let me know what the final result was. the receptionist (after we called 4 times and left a voicemail too) told me that the vet went home sick that day. 6. when i was with the owner, i was telling him about the noises my kitten makes and when i stoped him to make him listen, he proceed to tell me that my kitten is just mad... which in fact she wasn't. she was being affectionate towards him. 7. when we finally got ahold of the hospital, they had said that she didn't have an enlarged heart and a half collapsed lung, that it was just allergies. i finally had enough of going this animal hospital. most of those doctors in that hospital shouldn't be allowed to work with animals. the OWNER of the hospital misdiagnosed my kitten TWICE, when all she had was a little sinus issue. the owner couldn't even apologize for misdiagnosing my kitten. i left that place thinking i was going to have thousands of vet bills to pay. i finally ended up going to my regular vet that i have been dealing with for a few years, when we saw him, he was able to diagnose her just by doing a physical examination, my vet really has a love for animals like i've never seen before. he told me what was going on he told me his though process and everything. i was finally able to read what the radiologist said, and my kitten is over achieving in good health. never again am i bringing ANY of my animals here, with people of such lack information and care for animals.
