Started going here when we got our rescue, the staff all genuinely care about animals, its obvious from the start. When the vet first came in to the exam room and met our dog for the first time he immediately set down his folder and crouched down to her level to greet her so she would be more at ease. Every interaction we've had there has always been professional and clearly caring about the animals best interests. Nice to go to a vet where the entire staff are clearly passionate about caring for animals.

This place has been my family’s vet since even when I was younger, so of course being older and having my own pets now, I bring them here. I always feel reassured coming that my pets will receive compassionate care. Just recently I was worried about my cats tail being broken, so they slide me into an appointment last minute and did so at a reasonable cost. (Long story short my cat just has an abscess on his tail) I really mean reasonable cost, of course I wasn’t prepared to take my cat to the vet and so I was low on funds. They made sure to give me options for antibiotics that were affordable to me so my cat could get rid of the infection. Recommend 100%!

I highly recommend the Animal Hospital of Kitchener Waterloo. The vets are very knowledgeable and honest, and their prices are competitive for excellent work. The RVTs are amazing and very caring. When our dog was sick and eventually passed away everyone at the clinic provided so much help and support, making sure we knew all our options to care for her and keep her happy and active as long as possible. It meant the world to us. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

I compared so many clinics as I have 2 cats they have the best price and after choosing them I can see they have the best customer service as well. There price are unbeatable. Always very friendly and able to give you an appointment in a reasonable time frame. Been taking my cat here for years as she has anal gland issues that need to be taken care of every 6 months. It's always super fast and very affordable. ** The only thing I'll say is that I wish they had hours posted online or recorded in their voicemail. Maybe next time I go I'll snap a picture of the door sign.

The vet thinks she knows what she is talking about. Brough a technician with oven gloves out because she was afraid of a chocolate lab puppy. She says his attitude will never be proper. We go to a behaviorist, who claims our lab could be a therapy dog. Some people should stick to being cat vets. She also recommended Bark Busters, who recommends throwing water balloons at the dog if they doesn't listening. I am disgusted.

Taking your little loved ones here is the best because not only do they make them feel at ease but you as well, even in the sad times. I travel across cities to come here years later.

This place was recommended by the people who I bought my cat from. I had my cat checked before she got spayed and chipped, she got the vaccines she was missing but when they checked her, they found she had ear mites, the doctor and receptionist told me in front of my mom that they applied the medication and assured me all I had to do was apply the second dose. I go back for her booster shots and another doctor told me they never applied the medication and that I was suppose to do it. Then I took her to get spayaed and when I get her back I see how they took off more hair than she necessarily needed and how poorly her incision was done. My brother got his cat fixed at a different location and she is more hairy than my cat and they only took of a small rectangle of hair and her incision was done more careful than my cat's. I regret not listening to my brother and taking her here.

When you find a practice where everyone on staff truly cares and is willing to go above and beyond- whether it be for yourself, your children or your pets, it is a rare and wonderful thing. The vet is honest and caring. I went in to have a bump on my dogs snout looked at, he told me honestly that he could do some tests and x-rays, but they would cost a lot. When the results come back we would have to decide if we should remove a large portion of his snout which is not realistic. I appreciate that he told me honestly what to expect, gave me the options and did not push us towards expensive treatment options with little hope of success.

The receptionist staff was particularly accommodating in regards to all of our questions and last-minute booking. I took my 19 year old cat in this morning to the vet because she had some stuff coming out of her eyes a friend gave me some eye drops for her and they cleared the eye yup but I still wanted a vet to look at the eyes and just give her a good check up. (My cat has not gone to the vet for around 7 years she’s an indoor cat) when the vet came in he looked at both eyes quickly and then said there’s nothing wrong. Then she checked her back and said oh she has to pee when she gets home. Then said have a good day and went to the back room. After that I went to the front cash where they charged me almost $80 for that and I arrived 10 mins early and still didn’t get seen till 10mins after my appointment then sat in the room for most of the time very disappointed in the vet will not be going back for any of my animals.

I have 2 dogs who were both very nervous about going to the vet but they absolutely love coming in. My senior dog still gets a little nervous but hard not to when someones grabbing your junk. They are super quick and professional. Only reason for the 3 stars is they tell me every visit that I should have my boys neutered which I've said no to. I think they probably shouldn't keep mentioning it if someone says no the first time

I tried to fit in a simple vaccine appointment on my busy day assuming it would take less than 10 minutes. My appointment was at 2 pm and we had to wait outside till 2:30 pm... Not even a call to let us know what's going. They also try to upsell a lot and add in random charges when we never asked for it. Make sure to check your bills. Never coming back here again.

Last weekend I called around different vets in the Waterloo area and was luckily able to find the Animal Hospital of Kitchener Waterloo as they were willing to squeeze in a same day appointment for my puppy. I asked the vet for a physical examination and apparently they missed the fact that he was infested with tape worms and had segments around his bum. He was constantly trying to relieve the itch in that region even right after visiting this hospital so I took him to another vet this week in Toronto to do his shots as well and they confirmed that he had worms and gave me all the information I needed to help deworm my puppy. My question is - what in the HECK did this vet even examine when I dropped him off???? How on earth is something as BASIC and easily identifiable as tapeworm segments missed???? It almost feels like I was taken advantage of for A) being a new pet owner and B) not signing up to be a returning patient since I was an out of town guest and I am now short $80 some odd bucks. It sucks how due to COVID you can't go into the vet's office to visually see the exam being done, but at least you should be able to have some faith that the bare minimum is being checked behind closed doors. Unbelievable. I don't normally write Google reviews but I'm doing this for my poor puppy and would personally not recommend this vet.
