Awesome.service and accommodate in case of emergency and Dr Trade is amazing UPDATE unfortunately looking for a new veterinarian clinic. The daytime receptionist is EXTREMELY rude and nasty and rude on the phone.... happened once last year when my dog was bit by the neighbors dog but again 2 weeks ago when trying to book a general exam for ticks medication and Lyme shot. Very disappointing since my partner had been a client for years.

Having been a client for 11+years it strikes me as rather odd that the day prior to a scheduled spay for a cat that had been booked months prior, that a call would be received just now enquiring as to whether the cat had its vaccinations. As the cat was unknown to myself as much as the cat is unknown to this office, my reply was of no great help or insight. "Oh" said the receptionist as though I had been guilty of some great deception or something as equally absurd.. "we can't do the procedure until we have her vaccinations completed". It would appear the receptionist is correct on both fronts. There is no greater affront than that of projecting ones ineptitude upon another, especially when the other happens to be somewhat in the dark regarding the policies and protocols of a professional veterinary office that has had over three months to ascertain the difference between its foot and its mouth.

If I could put 0 stars I would. We took our 13 week old puppy here to get a heart ultrasound. We had to wait a extra 15-20 minutes past our scheduled booking. Which was okay, after having our puppy (Macey) taken in minutes later we started to hear her scream. It was unsettling but were told it was nothing to worry about. Then we were told our puppy had to be sedated because she wasn't allowing the ultrasound to be done. They refused to let us go back and help. After she was sedated and the ultrasound was done They brought us back n showed us some pictures and explained very little about her condition. The veterinarian assured us he would go over the pictures that night and get back to us either that night or the next day. Well after leaving the ultrasound room we went to the front desk and had paid for Macey's bill. After paying the bill they told us to have a good night as we're standing there without our puppy. So we had to tell the man working the front desk where our puppy was, n after a little ignorant joke he went back to get our puppy. As we were returning home we noticed that Macey had what looked like clipper cuts through her skin under her leg. The next day we kept trying to get a hold of the vet to see what could be done he finally reached us after hours later he wasted my girlfriends time. He then also had no idea how much her medication was going to be and told her that it would be a life long medication and then hung up. I would never let anyone take their let here.

Many thanks to Dr. Gould and the Staff at SVS who recently (while freezing rain was rapidly accumulating outside) patiently and thoroughly assessed and recommended a new medication plan for our 11 year old Great Pyrenees 'Titan'. We had been going to the Verona Animal Hospital, but with its sudden closing we chose SVS and are so glad that we did. We have noticed a favourable improvement with Titan and are thrilled and very thankful.

I just wanted a price for hook worm medicine. Couldn't give me that without being seen jeepers I told her the age and weight but nope. Not paying 150 walk in fee just for worm medicine . Was talking to the girl in sharbot lake and she suggested I call to get them to send it out to the clinic in sharbot lake for Tuesday because they are closed today..because of vet shortages.

We have been going to Sydenham Veterinary for many years with our last dog, and now we are taking our new puppy there as well. I wouldn't trust my pets care to anyone else!

We moved to South Frontenac 15 years ago from a city and the first time we came in with our dog we felt we were treated with the same care and privilege as life long valued clients. Kind, compassionate, fair, accommodating; they have gone WAY above and beyond more times than I could count. And they genuinely care about your pets; no part of your visit feels like a business. You never feel like you’re being up-sold and they always incorporate you and your family’s circumstances when offering treatment plan options. I would never go anywhere else, and I’ve referred many - often folks from Kingston, all of whom feel it’s totally worth the drive!

The team at Sydenham Vet is top notch. Our little Yorkie (Boomer) had gotten into some chicken bones and we had him in and out of the clinic for over a week. He unfortunately had to much damage done with the amount he ate and passed away in his sleep at home after an operation. We transferred our 2 cats and 2 dogs to this vet from one in Kingston a couple of years ago and are so much happier. Price is way better (though still costly if you're familiar with pricing in Manitoba), they have a much better understanding of the kind of care rural animals need and they also offer evening and Saturday appointments. Everyone is really friendly and knowledgeable - always happy to answer the questions of an overly inquisitive owner. I recently had to say goodbye to one of my cats and sincerely appreciated the level of compassion shown by everyone at the clinic. Even though it was after hours on a Saturday there was no pressure at all to hurry up, they granted me the time that I needed to say a proper farewell. Highly recommend this clinic.
