We offer you the information of people who buy the services of Limestone City Animal Hospital (Veterinarian) in the area close to Kingston (Canada).
As of day the firm receives a score of 4.7 over 5 and that score is based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is basically the best one, and it is based on a high number of scores, so we can say that the evaluation is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are happy, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Veterinarian is classified in the category of Veterinarian.
I recently moved to Kingston with my dog, Ben. He is a 3-year-old rescue with a lot of anxiety issues. I brought Ben in for a checkup and vaccinations with Dr. Marcelissen. She and all the staff were wonderful; very kind to Ben, very understanding and conscientious of his issues. We have also boarded Ben and he has done great; a real testament to their care as he has a hard time with new people and environments. The clinic itself is very clean and spacious. They run appointments on time. They follow up with emails to make sure everything is going well (such as after vaccines). I don't feel they try to "up-sell" on investigations such as lab work or medications. I would not hesitate to recommend this vet clinic to anyone.
Dr Jason and Dr Mark and their staff have taken care of Shelby and Duke since birth they are so caring . The best part is they are there when ever we need them. Thanks for all you and your staff have done for our family
Friendly service. Responsive. During pandemic times, was able to fit us in as new clients and treat our kitty for an abscess before it became worse. We will be back and appreciate the attention and empathy given to us and our young cat.
Superb! Very knowledgeable and they don't attempt to up-sell you anything unless it's necessary or vital. My vet is Marc (one of the co-founders) and he always answers all my questions and even refers me to studies and the latest research if I need more information. Truly a great experience. Highly recommended!
Today was our first appointment with our new puppy, and the Veterinarian and Vet Tech. were both incredible and attentive with our pooch. Thank you for making our first experience at the Vet easy, informative, and stress free.
Big shout out to Limestone City Animal Hospital! Our dog, Sarah, went missing and lucky for us she was found by the veterinarian’s family. Because of their kindness, we were reunited with our beloved family pet of over 12 years (our first born ????). A million times thank you!!!
Very empathetic, good service.
Great service. Very thorough and clearly care about the health of their pet patients.
For different reasons I've seen three different doctors at the Kingston location and they were all extremely nice and caring and professional. And I think Meghan Didier is the best vet assistant ever. Thank you thank you thank you. EDIT: I wish I could leave a second message to thank all of the staff for the care, the attention and the treatment they provided to my cat. They are the most considerate and well-meaning team of professionals ever, equally with the animals and with their humans. I don't know if I received special treatment — I'm sure I didn't and they act like this with eveyone — but the way the handled the pecuniary aspects of my cat's health care was extremely benevolent and I appreciate it deeply. They have big hearts and I wouldn't even think of asking anyone else to care for my pet.
Really amazing staff. The vets take the time to explain procedures and everyone has your pet's best interest at heart.
Mark is a very caring vet and great at recommending options that feel appropriate. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my furbaby.
My dogs are excited to go there. The vet stood outside in the cold at -12 for almost 15 minutes going over everything with me in great detail. My know my pets are well cared for at Limestone City Animal Hospital.
We brought our elderly terrier, Angus in for tests as he was showing signs of severe arthritis and was in considerable pain. Both vets, Dr. Mark and Dr. Jason saw him and ran a series of comprehensive tests. Surprisingly, it was not old age or arthritis, or any of the other potential diseases of elderly dogs - but Lyme Disease. Despite being on the appropriate tick medications, they felt that this could have been acquired years ago and only suddenly revealed itself. With aggressive antibiotic treatment Angus was back to his old self within a few days. The pain and stiffness were gone and he seemed years younger. Throughout the process both vets stayed in close touch and showed considerable empathy and care for both Angus and me. Their professionalism was incredible. I highly recommend this clinic. Having recently moved from the Toronto area, we were familiar with high professional standard vet clinics. Limestone City can hold its own as far as I am concerned. It was a lucky day that we found them.
Had a great experience! The staff were very friendly and professional and everything went smoothly with my dog's visit. I will absolutely be bringing my pets here for all future vet needs. I was very pleased with both the cleanliness of the clinic and the skill of the staff.
My fiance's cat is just under a year old and had to be neutered. We've been living without issue in our apartment with the only animal in the building. The apartments do not share any ventilation or really any common space other than a single entrance on a very cold stone floor. Anyways, I took the cat in that morning although angry with me he was fine. Got him back all fixed and thankfully there was no issue there. After a few days however, everything changed. I noticed a small little insect jump on me one morning, tried to smack the thing but it didn't want to die. To make a long story short, the cat had FLEAS! We bring up this news with the Animal Hospital and their response was that it was a shared ventilation system and that their place would not have fleas because of the concrete floors and sterile environment (much like my apartment). They claimed no responsibility at all and that it must all be at my end. Well, first time the cat goes out he gets FLEAS I wonder where he got them from given he just went one single place. In the end we had no choice but to buy flea treatment (If you are having an issue go to McEwans animal hospital they are cheaper but require an exam). Sadly the flea treatment Advantage does not seem to be doing the little guy any good as he is still infested. We've tried everything and nothing seems to be working including fumigation. Stay away from Limestone City Animal Hospital otherwise this story could be yours too as shortly after we talked to someone else who had the same issues. ***** Edit The owner has contacted us several times now to try to get us to come in and discuss the incident. Sadly we've lacked the time and ability. While I still feel it is likely the fleas did come from here obviously we have no way of proving anything.
Limestone City Animal Hospital was recently recommeded to me and my dog was due for his annual check-up so I decided to book with them. My dog is not only a difficult breed, but was also a rescue who had been badly beaten. This makes him very difficult to deal with at vet offices. The staff were amazing with him and my dog was somewhat comfortable while in the examination room. I couldn't have asked the vet to be more understanding of his issues. They were very helpful, answered all my questions, and gave me all my options. I was very happy with the service I received and will continue to use their services.
Love this amazing animal hospital. They have been so good to our pets and their staff are incredibly kind.
I contacted them about getting my dog in for an emergency appointment, and they were able to get me in the next day and didn't charge me any extra. Amazing service, thank you!
Cares for their patients (both human and pets). Shows they really want to make sure your animal is cared for and treats everyone involved with respect and fairness. Would recommend this clinic to all.
My boyfriend and I brought our kitten here for the first time a week after we rescued him because it is close by and we were scared he had eaten a houseplant that could be toxic to cats. After calling first and receiving no answer we drove over and rang the doorbell. The vets assistant told us the vet was on lunch break and would be back soon. Soon turned out to be 25 minutes later (it was about 1:45 PM). Would it have mattered if our animal was in severe distress or would lunch still have priority? Without so much as an introduction the vet had his assistant come get our kitten, not allowing even one of us inside the building or giving any more information other then just wait in your car. 15 minutes later the vet brought our cat out to us and said that I shouldn't look to google to see if things are harmful to cats, and in all likelihood he would be just fine. After this we paid for an exorbitantly priced "emergency visit". Included was his first round of shots free and an additional 20$ for deworming medication. When it was time for our cats second round of shots we made an appointment by going over to the clinic since it is hard to reach them on their phone. The card given to us then had a time on the 14th of October, we went on the 14th and waited a half an hour for another vets assistant to tell us that our appointment was actually on the 15th. The next day I called, at 4 different times and left messages and it still took me calling at the time the appointment would have taken place for anyone to pick up the phone. I asked for any records they had on our cat so we could take him to a better vet and the person on the phone said that it would be emailed to me as soon as the vet checked it over. I am still waiting for that email so I can tell the new vet what shots and medication my cat was given, and now it has been 3 weeks without anything having been sent. I would not trust this place with your animals
I take both my dog and cat there and they take excellent care of both. dr. Shepard is the best vet I have ever been to and is able to calm my pup no matter what mood shes in. Hes amazing and the staff are great.
Always very impressed with their professional and compassionate care. They are the only ones who can handle my Yorkie when he is distressed.
Excellent service, professional and friendly staff.
Very caring and professional. My cat who is really skittish towards strangers, had no problem in being cuddled by the personnel. The nurses are very nice and they also wrote a welcome message on the white board for our cat in the doctor's office. Doctor Shepherd is the best veterinary doctor in town, he quickly understands the issue. He figured out an issue with our other cat who had been wrongly diagnosed (for 3 years) by a different clinic in which we are no longer going, and was able to fix immediately the cause. If you do not know in which clinic to bring your pets, or if you are not satisfied with the service of your actual clinic, I deeply recommend you to become a client of the Limestone clinic.
exceptional experience, was a bit anxious when i first showed up, the energy of the staff was calming so i was able to get out of being anxious. thank you very much.
Wheelchair accessible.
Amazing experience from start to finish! I will 100% recommend this vet to anyone. This is the first time in my 8 years of pet ownership that I have ever left a vet feeling satisfied with my experience. The vet was very knowledgeable, provided me with options and was not at all pushy. Everyone was great with my anxiety ridden large breed. I can say he almost didnt hate it (haha).
I have had such a positive experience with every vet and tech I have encountered at this clinic. They were all so kind towards myself and my kitty and did a great job addressing my concerns. We will continue to use this clinic as long as we remain in Kingston!
Unfortunately our family did not have a good experience with this clinic as our dog was declining and eventually needed to be put down. We were not offered compassionate care when our dog became sick with Lyme disease, only offered extremely expensive testing before they would provide supportive care in her last stages of life. Our family felt there was primarily a profit motive behind their recommendations, rather than a desire to give the care our dog needed. We eventually found a vet at another clinic who was able to provide the end-of-life care she needed. Sadly, we received an automated email from Limestone City Animal Hospital requesting feedback (which we did), signing off with "we hope to see you and your dog again soon!", an insensitive statement as we had just put our dog down the day prior. Overall, this clinic has demonstrated a lack of compassion and care, with thoughtless customer service. We concluded that this clinic seems to be highly profit motivated and have thankfully been able to move our pets over to the clinic who helped us when we needed it with our dog this week.
I absolutely love the staff and vets here. They take the time to let my, less then willing, dog become more comfortable with them before proceeding. They don't man handle her when she gets bitty and they are gentle when putting a muzzle on her when it's required.
They took pitty on me and my poor Persian and offered to throw in a free, much needed buzz cut. Thank you so much!
Nothing! It's perfect as usual! Thank you. :) It was fine, but unfortunately Lola freaked out and the Doc couldn't get the shot into her lol, so am coming back today after giving her the prescribed gabapentin Rx so hopefully she is calmer!!!! Jules
Excellent clinic, very friendly staff. There was nothing that could have been done to make Loki's experience any better. Thank you for taking such good care of my boy!!!
Everyone was very nice and accommodating, especially since it was an emergency visit. They were very thorough in their explanations and what my options were.
When I moved to Kingston I was looking for the best Vet. I looked online and I saw limestone which had a very high rating. First, they are human and thier prices are average. Everytime I went there they looked for cheapest option and explain in details whatever we aren't sure and everything that was involved. My dog was getting old and started having health issues so I was going quite often. Unfortunately she needed to be put down. They made the whole process as easy as possible and also are very compassionate. Mallory the clerk went through all the details and what will happen, what I would need and everything in a calm and reasuring voice. When it was time they put us in a room, dime the lights and did it. They left me in the room and told me to take my time and leave whenever I felt like it, no pressure. If I ever move in Kingston, I would without any doubt go there for my Vet. If I have one place to recommend, go with Limestone, you will not be disappointed.
Great people and very caring of my animal.
Great place! Very understanding, friendly and knowledgeable vets. Listen to their clients and actually thoroughly goes over all questions and concerns with you.
The bestest pizza
A fantastic Vet hospital at all levels! Absolutely recommend! I have seen many vets for my cat that's been sick since last Feb and it's just been a horror story all the way thru. After spending thousands $$$, I'm glad i have found a great place here in Kingston". I intended to go to Sims Animal Hospital but they were extremely rude, dissmissive and the place was dirty. The moment i entered Limestone CAH, it felt comforting. Great reception, clean, excellent friendly person at the front desk. Met Dr De Wold: he had been referred to me by another cat owner at my hair salon: he is the best vet i have met so far (amongst around 12 i have seen since last Feb in Winnipeg) and the right one for my cat (and me!): he showed a lot of compassion and really listened to all i had to say. He asked all the right questions to get familiar with my cat's case history and showed great interest in it. He also made sure he had all the copies of my cat's file to go through them and make sure he had all the details on the issues my cat has (possible chronic pancreatitis and kidney stones...only 4 yr old cat) and the hell we have been thru. Dr De Wolde proposed a logical, strucured plan to do various tests to really have a better assessment of the issues and made sure we could do it in the most economical and efficient way possible, which is appreciated considering that the costs of those tests are generally speaking fairly high! The clinic has an excellent communication process with emails and txt messages reminders as well as an App (PetDesk) we can use to manage appointments, messages and reminders, etc. They also follow up by email after the appointment to enquire on the pet's health and answer any concerns. Of note: Dr De Wolde also sits on the Ontario Board of Veterinarians and is actively involved in making sure vets practices are up to standards in the Province so you can imagine he must himself, uphold a high standard of practice to make a good example! I stongly recommend this clininc: i have been to many in the past year and LCAH and Dr De Wolde are the best by far!!! Thank you so much!
Always received loving care for my dear felines here
The folks at Limestone City Animal Hospital are just awesome. I switched to Limestone in the fall of 2012 after my previous vet was less than helpful after I had taken in a stray cat, my adorable little Biko. In contrast, Limestone City Animal Hospital, although I wasn’t even a client at that point, went out of their way to help me. Since then I have transferred over my other precious kitty, Allister into their care as well as my Mom’s beloved dog Rudy. Dr. Jason Shepherd is an amazing vet. He’s takes the time to ask the right questions and really gets to the bottom of things. He’s thorough and he really cares. I must also give a shout out to the gals on the front line, particularly Linda….always professional, but more importantly, kind and helpful.
Everyone at this vet clinic is wonderful. They are friendly, informative and very knowledgeable. They are very upfront on costs so there are never any surprises and take the time to speak to you and answer questions and explain everything, you are never rushed and always feel you are the top priority while in the clinic. They also do not charge for nail trims and advise when certain things may not require an actual vet consultation so you can minimize costs. The way they schedule you are almost always the only animal in the waiting room accept for occasionally passing one other when arriving or leaving. This really decreases stress on our cat. I highly recommend this Vet clinic.
They are there for you in the moments of sadness and there to help those moments be few and far between. They show true compassion for fur kids well being and will take the time to make sure the human is well informed to make the best choice for the fur kid.
Were new to Kingston and have been very impressed with the friendly and attentive staff, and th excellent veterinary care. Our cat, George, is in very good hands!
Really great and caring service!
Always friendly and never make me feel bad about a budget constraint. Love my vets !
Excellent level of care, very friendly staff.
Staff are so warm and caring. You can tell they genuinely love animals. Prices are reasonable, I love the inviting environment.
Genuinely the best experience I've had in a long time. So helpful, caring, and lovely.
Amazing people who truly care about your furbabies
They actually care! Amazing service!
Very caring staff
Great service
We have been bringing our dogs to Limestone for over three years. The compassion and professionalism of the staff here have been nothing short of outstanding . The compassion in the care of our older dog Simone until here passing was really heartwarming . The superb service shown to our two new mini Dachshunds has been number one, from their spaying to their annual shots the staff treat our two girls like one of their own. I would heartily recommend the Limestone City Animal Hospital to any one in the city.
They've always been so great with my pug baby Hiro.
I booked an appointment to get my dog spayed over a month ago and was told that it would be $620+tax (already pretty pricey compared to other vets I called). I called them the week before the appointment to confirm cost, it was confirmed at $620+ tax. The DAY BEFORE the appointment I called to confirm when I should start fasting my dog, I was told then that it was actually going to be $790+ tax for the procedure, not the $620+tax that I had been quoted multiple times before. They tried to say it was because my dog had gone through her first heat, but this is something I had explained every single time I called for a price quote and something that's also in my file. The woman on the phone kept repeating how "they messed up and read the wrong number" but would not discount me for their mistake for the procedure that was in less than 24 hours and had been booked over a month in advance. I had time off of work booked for this, and they could not have cared less, after being with this vet for nearly 4 years. This is the most unprofessional, apathetic, money hungry vet I've ever been to. They lied to me about the price for over a month until the day before my appointment. I called Fairfield Pet Hospital and they booked me in 4 days from the call for $440 all inclusive of tax. Go to any vet other than this one. All they care about is money, you're not getting better care, or better service, you're getting much worse for a much higher price.
Absolutely love this place. They really Care about your animal. Amazing!!
Our first visit to Limestone with our very anxious German Shepherd. We were served right away. All of the staff, vet techs and vet were friendly and thorough. I felt confident in them and trusted their assessment and care. Since they're quite a distance from our home we're going to try one of their other locations but would definitely go back to Limestone.
I've had decent service here. They seem like they know what they're doing.
Great location for downtown folks, this vet service is friendly, thorough and reasonably priced. On our second visit my pup didn’t want to leave!
Over charge ????
Best animal hospital to treat our pets in the 50+ years we've had pets. When our pup went in for spaying last week, the vet assistant sat on the floor holding Lexi because she was missing her mommy. Doesn't get any better than that.
I recently had the pleasure of bringing my family pet to this veterinarian clinic and I extremely pleased and so was my furry friend! this place is very welcoming and treats their animals so well! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the veterinarian was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Hands down the best veterinarian clinic I have visited. Highly recommend
My family & I have been coming here for years. Very Friendly and nice staff! The Veterinarians made me feel safer and better about my Siberian Husky getting fixed and getting his Umbilical Hernia removed. Thank you!
Thank you for the caring and dedicated service during our difficult time.
I've taken my pets to this vet for over 12 years now. The staff are friendly and professional. They seem to genuinely care about your pets health and wellbeing and it shows! I like that they are part of the petperks app as well so you can recieve rewards for vet visits!
Get ready to part with lots of $$$
A great place to take your pet, both friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back!
As a student with two new puppies I have received such outstanding support at each and every visit! Thank you for everything that your staff as done!
Thank you to this amazing team for taking care of my dog. They do what's best for the pet and find and suggest the best options for treatment. Highly recommend!
They we extremely helpful on the phone and saw my little kitty quickly at no charge! He was fine and didn't need any procedures. I thought for sure they would charge something. They were just happy to check him out and give me Peace of mind.
I had to take my boy here as he was having tummy issues. Dealt with him very well and explained every little thing on the bloodwork and scans to us! Dr. Shepherd was great.
Wonderful service and advice from caring people.
They are very caring people who work there!! They are very loving toward your kids!! Your babies!! They have always fixed my babies problems right away with out costing me lots of money!! They are very gentle toward your babies!! They care very much!!
The two vets (Mark and Jason) are caring, gentle, and professional - they really know their stuff, and aren't afraid to engage in a discussion about options and potential outcomes. They were so kind and caring when we had to put our last (and first) shih tzu down at age 15. Front desk staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Nice clean waiting area and clean exam rooms. Prices average - not high, not low.
Friendly and compacenent about your pets 3 location's to help you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐????????????????????????????????????????!!!! An so on.
We have been bringing my dog to Limestone since we rescued him. In that time, we have had routine care as well as the need for special care when he's been sick. Without exception the veterinarians, vet techs and front desk personnel are vigilant about providing the level of care that's needed at the moment. There is a wonderful customer service ethic. I get follow-up calls and information after our appointments. I am 100% satisfied and absolutely recommend Limestone City Animal Hospital.
Dr. Mark is the best vet we've ever had. He is honest, thoughtful and will help you consider every option available. No "upsell" either, which is nice to see, he's not constantly trying to push the "next big thing pet health" onto you. I can't recommend him or Limestone City enough.
An absolutely great veterinarian clinic. They have gone over and above to take care of my cat, who had a chronic disease. Around the end of his life, they were very supportive and helpful in too many ways for me to describe. Every member of the clinic is dedicated to the welfare of animals, and I would strongly recommend trusting Limestone City Animal Hospital with your pet’s care.
Great pet and human experience at Limestone and Kingston West! Thanks for taking such good care of Allie and the pet parents!
I usually take my animals to Kingston West, but was in the area, and stopped into Limestone to get a couple supplements for my dog. What struck me as odd is that they don't carry the same product line location to location. I use Virbac for my cats, and had wanted to get the same for my dog, but they don't stock the line? Not the end of the world , but it's the other end of town to get to West, and it just seems like if you have clients who are loyal to a brand, you would carry the same stock clinic to clinic.
Great staff. Always a follow up after visits and good communication regarding our pets health and well-being.
I took our rabbit Bryan in to get fixed, and the staff were very friendly and kind. The vet took the time to explain the surgery in full and made sure I was aware of the risks. I picked up Bryan later that day, he seemed happy and in minimal pain considering what he'd just been through. I was given a detailed information and care sheet, which was nice. Bryan recovered very quickly, and they called me to follow up and check in on his progress. I would not hesitate to recommend Limestone city Animal Clinic to any rabbit or pet owner. They did a great job and it's clear they really love animals.
Amazing service very impressed with the team an the outcome of all the problems we have struggled an we couldn't ask for anything better they are wonderful an loving to my dog! I would totally recommend if your reading the reviews don't hesitate take your animal here they go above an beyond to get meet the needs of you an your pet they show compassion an love every time you take your animal ❤
The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. The vet was patient as I asked my thousand questions. They were simply wonderful
Wonderful staff, our pup loves going to see them and can't wait to go inside to get treats. The staff are all clearly passionate and love their jobs. The vets and the vet techs are all extremely knowledgeable and are not pushy about anything. They let you know the price of everything beforehand and give you information to make an educated decision. Cannot recommend them enough!
All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We have been very happy with every experience.
Horribly rude technicians. Also "Dr. De Wolfe" was very rude to me as well as to a young woman working in his facility. Very unprofessional. Completely disgusted with how they treat animals. Technician "Melissa" told me she did not care for small dogs and was extremely rude. Do not recommend this clinic to anyone. Make sure your pet is cared for by the right people.
Have always had amazing help with all my fur babies and the staff are always nice
I called this place more than 5 times to set a date and get a price for neutering my cat. everytime I asked "how much with tax" and a couple of times I even asked if she was sure. so I finally get the appointment and they did fine on my cat, but added a 100 to my bill and asked why and she says tax even tho 355 plus the 21 percent tax does not equal 455. they did try to tell my wife they want to give the cat something to slow the bleeding and this is what youd expect to be done anyway, so why are you trying to add this to my bill. (btw I did ask other vets if this was something other vets do and 3 out of 3 vets said no it is procedure anyway and they never heard of it). I know I've been hustled but paid the full 455 even tho I shouldnt have. idk if they did this purposely or accidentally, but shame on them for at least being incompetent and for that reason I can no longer trust them with the life of my pet. anyone dealing with them might want to record what you're being told bcuz I know you feel you've been lied to at times about price.
Fantastic clinic. Great staff, amazing veterinarians. Very friendly. Would recommend to anyone :).
Simply the best with amazing vets and support staff.
You make things ok . for people and there dogs . Thank you . !
Caring professionals who are on the ball in regards to caring for our pets
Very good with my dog.
The doctors and VTs at Limestone are knowledgeable and compassionate. They work with us to find affordable solutions to our cat's medical problems without compromising care. The vets give advice that takes into account clients' finances, and they've never made us feel like bad cat parents because we can't pay for expensive tests and treatments on our grad student budget. They do let us know that if the cheaper solutions don't work, we may have to pay for more expensive care, but so far, all their inexpensive suggestions have solved our cat's issues! Limestone staff always follow up with us after appointments to see how kitty is doing, and we can really tell that everybody in the clinic cares deeply about animals.
The vet couldn’t tell my cat was just constipated.. took her to another vet who could tell me what was wrong within 5 minutes.
I am consistently impressed and comforted by the quality of care my dog receives here, and by the friendly, helpful and knowledgable attention I receive from the doctors, vet techs and staff! They are thorough, and always welcome questions via email -- as well as always follow up on my dog after appointments. Their Pet Desk App is also amazing for helping me keep track of her medications, and, the "points" I receive by using it has allowed me to have more than one free examination! 100% recommend.
The best vet and staff i have ever meet! Made my furbaby and myself feel like we meant something not just a cash grab. Told me tge cost of everything they where going to do ! Will defiantly be my vet from now on!
I have the utmost respect for all the employees of all three clinics, Dr Jason Shepherd is an amazing vet, he has been looking after my dogs for 5+ years now, and did save the life of my Lab, with the compassion and care he give these animals, as well as ALL the staff, I would go no place else, my little dog just went through a horrible experience with her eye, and they were fast to refer her to a specialist saving her eye, all staff is very conscience, caring, and loving no matter the problem or what is involved, they take the time to spend with the animals, never in a rush and does explain things in human language, FLEAS?? never had an issue with that that place is so clean you could eat off the floors, need I say more the best places to take your animals
Very rude receptionist. Answers phone calls very rudely. Gosh what horrible peoples skills. You would think you would have more respect. Awfull!!!!
I have been to this vet many times and have never encountered anything but respect and a caring environment. I would recommend anyone looking for good care to give them a call. They have never been rude on the phone or in person. Excellent service.
Really good service. People are nice and take good care of the animals. Also it comes with a app that helps you track everything for your animals. It helps me everyday. You can place reminder for medication or bath. You can add all the facilities that you use for your animal ex: grooming place.
Friendly and informative help with the puppy.
Absolutely gave Kane the best care and Kane enjoyed the attention and treats. ThankYou very much
I haven’t owned a cat since moving to kingston so I didn’t know where to start to find a trustworthy vet, but the reviews here seemed pretty good so I tried and wasn’t disappointed! the staff was friendly (photo for proof), they listened and even called the shelter where I got my cat to ask about what exactly had been done there. I will recommend this place for sure, and will be back with my cat.
Great service, amazing staff and has done so much for my family and all 5 of your dogs.
Best vet ever! They put you and your fur baby at ease and truly care.
Great place and very friendly
Very pleased with the level of care my cat Felix has received and the professionalism and care from all staff. Highly recommend the services provided by this animal hospital.
The staff were wonderful and caring with our young cat. They are doing a great job adapting to the added difficulties of reducing contact.
The staff and veterinarians are always welcoming, friendly, punctual and very knowledgeable! They will go above and beyond to probide you the best service. Highly recommend!
After 5 phone calls for emergency service for my dog who was in great pain from an ear infection, I finally got an appointment with Limestone Animal Hospital. Be aware that all the clinics I called refused emergency service because I was not an existing customer. I was a recent and long term customer of Bayridge Animal Hospital (7 years) and all they would do was give me d a phone # for emergency service and no other support. Very concerning and disappointing !! Luckily for me Limestone Animal Hospital agreed to see me because they had an opening (cancellation). So when you have an emergency for your pet be aware that the concept of compassionate pet care is sometimes very difficult to find. However for this one transaction with Limestone Animal Hospital, I am very satisfied with the service, care and information I got from Dr. Sheppard for this emergency. I will go back for follow-up and re-assess whether to continue using.
We were totally amazed with the staff at Limestone Animal Hospital. It was our first visit to Limestone Animal Hospital and we were greeted right away and made to feel welcome. We went into the consultation room to meet Dr. Mark de Wolde and were pleased to see they had on the chalkboard the message welcome Bella, a very nice warm touch. Dr. Mark de Wolde explained to us in great detail the surgery that Bella needed with her cruciate tear in her back leg. He saw that surgery needed to be done asap as Bella could not put her back left down at all and was hopping to get around. He checked the schedule and booked Bella for surgery a week later, and suggested to have xrays and bloodwork completed that day to ensure surgery would be able to go ahead next week. Bella had surgery 3 days ago and is already starting to put pressure on her leg with toe touching. Very pleased with Dr Mark de Woulde and all the vet techs .
They are the kindness people in this line of work...My dog and I love this vet.....If you do not go there you should start...Thanks for everything
Quick and friendly staff. I changed vets to be closer to home and the transition was seemless. All my questions were answered and I felt listened too and heard
Always very professional service! Highly recommend!
The veterinarians, technicians & office staff at Limestone Animal Hospital are the most kind and caring people - I feel very comfortable entrusting my dog to their care! are all very professional, friendly and extremely caring and kind to our dog and to us. They make each visit as stress free as possible, both for the dog and her owner!
Fantastic experience. Friendly service, answered phone immediately, was able to book an appointment the next day. The examination was a great experience, this will be our permanent vet clinic. Staff performed an above and beyond assessment of our pup and we now feel confident about his health and future vet visits. Thank you for making our pup happy and healthy! Don't even look at other vet clinics - this is the one you want if you are searching for a new vet near downtown Kingston.
We are quite simply uncomfortable with the quality of care our pets received here. Dr. Melinyshyn presented increasingly bizarre treatment plans for our cat's recurring, aggressive urinary tract infections. She was unwilling to prescribe antibiotics but strangely committed to pushing pain killers as a primary treatment. This was followed by holistic tablets and what appeared to be a repeated suggestion for euthanasia? We relayed this to our cat's specialist in Toronto, who was horrified. Luckily, his specialist has agreed to continue seeing him until we can find a better clinic in the Kingston area. Management was alerted but seemed doubled down on these non-evidence-based approaches. ---------------- Update: The fact their medical director stands behind the use of painkillers as a primary treatment for recurring UTIs (urosepsis anyone?) is precisely why we've changed clinics. In any case, we're happy our cat is now getting the care he deserves. Thank you for sending his files onward.
Quick and friendly service. No pressure along with their suggestions. Had a great experience on a last minute needed appointment when nobody else could get us in. They’ve won our business!!
Mark Jason and the team, are the only ones we trust with our Gracie, they have looked after us for 10 years through some very happy and very sad times. Thanks for always putting our Puppies first
Thank you Limestone City Animal Hospital for the outstanding service and care. Special thanks to Dr. de Wolde for sharing your expertise and advice in a compassionate way. All staff at the Limestone City Animal Hospital are friendly, professional, and helpful. My only regret is that I didn't bring my two dogs to this clinic sooner!
Incredible! The staff were amazing and answered all my questions in depth! As a first time pet owner, I could not have asked for a better first experience.
Limestonw City Animal Hospital made my dogs appointment not seem so scary, this is one of the best animal hospitals I’ve ever bin to! All of their staff are so nice and helpful! If your looking for somewhere to take your pet I definitely recommend Limestone City Animal Hospital!
Very caring staff. They take good care of our dogs. Also excellent communication by way of calls and emails. Another plus is that if you download the Pet Desk App with every dollar you spend at their office you receive points which equal out to discounts!
I'm just thankful that there is an animal hospital around to take good care of our fur babies
Simply the best choice of Vet's to care for your animals. I recommend Limestone to all who listen. Have been my Vet of choice for over 7 yrs. The kindness, compassion and love they showed when going through end of life planning for Mr. Ben was truly heartfelt. They certainly helped get me through the most difficult time as a pet owner. When deciding on bringing home a new addition to fill the empty void the staff answered all my questions honestly with antidotes of advice and personal experiences. I have full trust in Dr Shepard and his team at Limestone to give Bolt the best care he can receive. The techs take the time to explain things so I understand and always answer my questions when I call no matter how silly they may seem. Will always use Limestone to care for my animals.
Very helpful.
Since my cat has become indoor only, she started scratching furniture and trim despite deterrant methods. This vet clinic applied Soft Claws for free once I purchased the kit, which was less than $30, for 4 applications that last about a month. It was quick & easy and my cat tolerated it well. They don't seem to bother her at all. She has pretty pink toes & no more scratching! So happy!!!!
Amazing vet services! Everyone is super nice and you can tell they really love animals :) Our neighbors recommended them and I am so happy that they did!
Phenomenal care from incredible people. I have nothing but good things to say, and have been going to Mark & Jason with all of my animals regularly now for over a decade. Highly, highly recommend, for more reasons than I have room to explain here.
I was extremely panicked when my cat got hurt. The wonderful people who work here kept me calm on the phone and took great care of my cat when I brought him in. Everyone was calm and polite and I truly appreciate the care the took.
Such an amazingly caring team. Follow up after every visit. Thank you for all you do for Ocean.
I use to take my dog there, for five years. Had to start to take her to another veterinarian because of prices. When my dog passed away, I phoned and told them. I didn't receive one phone call from them. My dog had been going there since she was a puppy, and loved going there. I guess all they care about is the money.
Conscientious, courteous, and well-priced. The vets and staff at Limestone City Animal Hospital go above and beyond in caring for your pet. I've been more than satisfied with the care they have provided to my two cats and eight-year-old dog (which needed surgery for a mobility problem not long ago).
Amazing vets and vet techs. They make you feel incredibly comfortable and have nothing but care in their hearts for your furry family members! Highly recommended!
I have had such excellent and compassionate care from every single person who works here. I wouldn't trust my much loved animal companion's health care to anyone else but limestone city animal hospital. Jane Colden
I have lived in Kingston for 5 years. It has been extremely difficult to find the right vet. I finally found Mark and am so happy that my 5 year search has come to an end and will bring my dog to Limestone with a sigh of relief. Mark is compassionate, easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and I know he has the best interest of my dog at heart.....
Never had a bad experience here. Receptionists, RVTs, and veterinarians are all amazing. Very helpful and kind. They go the extra mile to ensure you understand their suggested courses of action and what's going on with your pet. Plus side: affordable and don't try to upsell you unneccassary stuff.
Clean facility. Competitive rates and staff is very friendly and caring. I do recommend them.
We have brought our cats and our dogs here for over 5 years now. I have mainly dealt with Dr. de Wolde and Dr. Shepard. Both vets are excellent. I find them to be caring, honest, and open. I do not feel pressure to decide on a treatment right away and they have been very patient in answering my many questions (sometimes over the phone). They are very good about going through all the possibilities, right from diagnosis to possible treatments and doing their best to give an honest estimation of prognosis. The staff there are welcoming and the technicians are very good and gentle with the animals (I had a small dog that would bite -- they handled him gently and managed not to get mauled). Great vets and great staff!
I feel often that my dog us less important for them because he doesn't often visit. Nails are difficult I can understand that but they have never been able to properly cut his nails and actually suggested having him sedated to do so ???? not impressed.
