This team does an amazing job of providing emergency services to your pets when the other clinics are closed. I can't imagine the fine line they have to walk to keep this place open - if people avoid it like the plague because they charge higher fees then we won't have emergency care available overnight, on weekends, or on holidays! They don't get the income from routine stuff like vaccines and nail trims, so I don't mind spending the extra money when it comes down to treating my pets. I found the staff extremely friendly, they were great with my dog and went through options and estimates before moving forward. I was sent home with thorough discharge instructions, and they even followed up the next day to make sure she was feeling better. I was also relieved to see familiar faces there - the technician from my regular clinic was working that night, which made everything a little less intimidating and stressful.
Great staff
Wonderful and caring staff in an emergency. They are also very understanding. Thanks for all you did for Xena. Big hugs.
This is three years old being written. But if you could go after a vet for malpractice I would have. Kept a dog sedated in the back room for so long they couldn't wake it back up again. Charged $3700 dollars to literally kill a pet in what other vets could do in 30 mins. Dog was bitter by another dog. No broken bones, just a punctured muscle in the hind. If you care about your animals at all find a reputable vet that will do emergencies after hours and avoid this place at ALL costs. Paid 3100 and left that evening but we're called the next day and told our bill had a mistake and we owed another $600. The vet on that night was lucky.. TLDR; Malpractice towards animals, no compassion, money grab. Avoid at all costs.
Horrible people
Assessment fee is reasonable compared to most others on initial intake. Called back the following day. Well done! Excellent service! Thanks.
This is the worst experience I have ever had at a vet clinic. Avoid this clinic at all costs. It's a full blown extortion racket. I own 3 animals two cats and a dog. All are in phenominal health both physically and mentally. We found two kittens while cleaning out a condemned house. I was syringe feeding the kittens for almost two weeks. Nursing them from nearly dead (skin and bone) to excellent health. My biological father is older and not very aware. He accidentally stepped on one of the kittens we found. We took her to the emergency vet thinking it would be the best thing to do. Upon arrival they immediately prepared an estimate for $1500 dollars. We told them the cats had been found and we were not paying $1500 dollars to have three injections, 12 hours of emergency care and very high chance they euthanize the cat. All I wanted was the medication. When we said we weren't looking to spend hundreds of dollars on a cat we found in a box in a condemned house. They proceeded to tell us that we were being inhumane and they were going to call the OSPCA. I asked if they could give the cat the medication and I could take her so I could monitor myself rather then have her sitting in a cage and paying for their "emergency care". They gave her the medication as requested and we were finally allowed to leave. They then proceeded to call the police and file a report to the humane society. All because I didn't want to pay them $1500 dollars to care for and potentially kill the kitten. These people are the definition of disgusting, I would highly recommend you avoid this clinic at all costs. The people do not care about the animals all they care about is money. The vet is a complete fool and the assistant is an extremely biased individual. It is clear they judge you based on your appearance and abuse their power. The officer who showed up at my house had no comment and was happy with what we were doing as we are both pet lovers and it was apparent we take excellent care of our animals. The clinic was clearly upset that we did not want to pay them for their service. They will call the police or OSPCA on you if you try to make decisions in regards to your animals. Based on the other reviews and my own experiences at this clinic its obvious the owner of this clinic has stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from people by preying upon them while in an emotional state. Beware of this unethical overpriced service. I would reccomend reporting the vet to his governing body he should have his licence stripped. For all the people out there who don't know how things work vet clinics are private businesses. The only reason why the bills are are expensive is because most vets are more concerned with making $250 to $500,000 a year then actually saving animals (kinda like doctors in the US). Even if you're paying $8000-10000 in rent for the retail space, you have staff and other expenses. Billing people in excess of $1500-3000 dollars for relatively basic services is unethical and should be illegal. I think we should all ask ourselves why Pet Care is more expensive then Healthcare? Why are my human antibiotics and medication is 1/8th the price of my animals medication? There are still a few honest vets with reasonable pricing I highly reccomend you do your research.
Amazing service! Very thorough and our Zoe is feeling much better! Thanks everyone ????
Pricy. But for emergency services they were very caring. And even followed up a few days later to make sure our pet was ok.
The staff for a very caring and dedicated. I feel very comfortable when I have to leave my dog there for care. My dog also loves the vet tech staff. Emily is really good with animals.
Friendly staff, took good care of my fur baby.
The veterinarians here are fantastic, and incredibly kind. I'm very grateful to them.
I would like to start out by saying that Dr. Bob and his staff were absolutely amazing people while I was on an absolute emotional breakdown about my loving cat Finn. This cat was my best friend for a few years and was suffering badly tonight. Thank you so very much Doctor Bob and the staff for being so compassionate and considerate for helping Finn pass through the balance of his life with dignity and compassion. Thank you so much for loving animals so much that you showed the compassion that you did. And thank you for letting me hug you.
Fantastic clinic. Very empathetic staff and will work with clients. Recommend this clinic especially for emergency visits.
My fur baby was treated very well, follow up the next day. Was very happy with the service
Ridiculously expensive. Even in an absolute emergency it is expensive.
staff are kind, understanding and so empathetic. I can't imagine any better team to help me through such a difficult time.
I wish there was a 0 star rating for this terrible place they call a “pet hospital”. I would like to tell you all my experience, also with this being the only after hours emergency service in Kingston I am HIGHLY disappointed. (Would like to include my partner was away in Mexico on a work conference!) My dog being part pug had popped out her left eye and was in total distress there for causing an emergency vet trip. Upon arrival they took my dog in and were very rude and unsympathetic. After looking at her for an hour with her crying and my 4 month old baby crying in each arm Dr Bob Kenn passes me a bill that is $2500 and tells me I need to pay upfront before they will touch my poor dog. With me being a new mother that was a lot of money for me to spend at one time so I took a look at the bill and then realized he wanted to take blood and urine tests when all she needed was her eye put back into her head and some stitches. After removing the unnecessary charges my bill was still at $2000. So as I sat there for 15 minutes figuring out what to do contacting my partner in MEXICO explaining the financial situation they gave me the option to go home with my dog and put medication in ever hour until my original vet opened up.... IM NOT LETTING MY DOG SUFFER ALL NIGHT, and to top it off set alarms every hour with my baby sleeping in her crib beside me? To ATTEMPT to get this in her eye by myself. Completely unrealistic. So after paying the $2000 upfront they took her into surgery and I went home. They called me 2 hours later telling me to come pick up my dog. She was still half sedated and couldn’t even walk.. it was a horrible sight to see when your dogs slides her entire body to you crying for comfort and love. After taking her home and my partner arriving back to Kingston, he called to make a complaint. The vet then explained that they would remove the stitches for free and sorry for the inconvenience (we already had an apppintment booked at our regular vet free of charge). The day comes for the suture removal and it’s a blizzard so I called Kingston Regional and asked for them to remove them instead and the lady on the phone then told me they would not remove them for free and it would be an additional $600 to remove them. They lied to him to get him off the phone. This place is terrible.
These guys were great. They were very cognizant of their pricing and communicated it thoroughly before proceeding. I do wish I would have been able to go in with my dog, but their policy is still in Covid mode. I also give them Kudos to communicating the issue to my regular vet and surprisingly following up with me 24 hours later.
I owe my dog's life to the fast-acting efforts of Dr. Sherry White and the entire team at the KRPH. On Friday Oct 23, my 13 year-old shih tzu went into flash pulmonary edema. Her lungs filled with fluid and she was gasping for air. My worst nightmare began to unfold - a mid-night run in the pouring rain to a vet clinic with my best friend struggling for each breath beside me. I called ahead and the team was there to meet us at the door. Due to pandemic restrictions, I couldn't be with Beans, but the team kept me updated as I sat outside in my car. The stabilized her, even calling me later than night to let me know she wasn't settling, and agreed to let her out of the cage to be with them So grateful for the personalized service! At 645 AM they asked me to come and get her - she was still breathing quickly but Dr. White felt it was anxiety. She spoke to me as I drove - I asked her if I was bring cruel keeping her alive, and if she felt this was "the end" - and she reassured me that it might not be. Several hours later, sweet Beans was back home with me, sleepy soundly, with a normal respiratory rate - 25! - even though she arrived with a resp rate of 60, and left at 45. I know heart failure is progressive and she won't live forever - but she didn't die that night, and Dr. White and her team have given us more time together. They even called this morning to see how she was doing. I am forever grateful that they were there for us on Friday, and for their quick, professional - and life-saving - care. Sincere thanks.
Caring helpful staff when you are in emergency need of pet care
Be aware, they will charge you extra for an after hours visit even though weekend hours are posted on the door.
Very courteous, organized and professional. Leaps beyond the animal hospital on Midland.
Really comprehensive staff
Expensive. They care though, which is rare with vets these days (looking at you Beardall). I had to bring in my ferret because she was old age, she had seizures and it was bad. The bill was 300 and change, but they took it down to 200. We were obviously distraught and broke and they helped us. Expensive, gut willing to work with you, I am glad they exist :)
Took my cat here for an injured leg in the middle of the night. Treated my cat great and helped me stay within my budget.
Today I had to bring my fur baby to this vet for an emergency visit. Everyone there was soo amazing and compassionate and caring to my poor pup. Honestly was the best vet experience I've ever had with any animal. I don't even live in Kingston but I am seriously contemplating switching to this vet clinic!!
Very attentive animal hospital. Our own vet was closed. They took us in immediately. Excellent care.
Called late in the night during covid season and I was helped over the phone. False alert but still great to have assistance when needed
I brought a friend here after hours and they took the animal in fairly quickly. I was blown away by the cost of options that were given to her considering they said they didn't know what was wrong because my friend couldn't afford the x-rays. Her option was pain killers and no answers to ease her fears. They didn't offer any payment plans to my friend which might have changed the outcome.
Horrendous service. Woman at the door and phone rude and inconsiderate. I was told my dog and I would have to wait an hour to see someone. No problem (except I wasn't asked either my name, phone number or even what's wrong with my dog) 2.5 hours later, no news or updates. I call to ask for an eta and I'm told "thing happen it takes time it'll be another hour or so at least" She then asks me "what is wrong with your dog". "oh its just an ear infection? Ya it'll be a couple hours more at least". I said it's have been nice if I couldve gotten an update at least to which I get "well sorry things happen more critical patients come in we can't do anything about that" and basically hangs up. I get it, you're busy. But if you have such poor people skills and terrible customer management, don't pretend like you have the skills to run a hospital triage. At least make an attempt to be pleasurable to deal with. First impressions are everything and I would definitely not trust these people with the wellbeing of my pet. Lmao I just read the other 1 start review on here. Not sure what came over me to even visit this place lmao what a joke
My unresponsive dog was brought into this pet hospital after a very hot & busy day of play, where several times I was asked if she got into drugs, & I very clearly & confidently said "no it was not possible" both my husband & myself felt we were treated with incredulous & discriminatory manners throughout both our physical & phone interactions. It was continously insinuated that drugs; specifically Marijuana was the cause. Our dog recieved bloodwork deemed unremarkable & an overnight on IV fluids. Upon release she had hardly improved, with no explanation, she wasn't even able to stand on her own. Nearly $1400 for irrelevant treatment. Treatment was negligent. Care was provided on the assumption that it was Marijuana as employees implied several times. I consulted a second opinion outside of the animal hospital, as she did not seem to be improving throughout the day, & clearly the animal hospital was adamant it was Marijuana that caused her symptoms, this second opinion immediately identified our dog was presenting textbook hypoglycemia, & the negligence on behalf of the animal hospital for having not tested blood sugar. Within an hour of giving my dog sugar water she had an interest & the strength to eat peanut butter as advised by my outsider consult, our dog returned to seemingly perfect health in record time after treating her for hypoglycemia no thanks to the pet hospital.
This place is Terrible, my tiny 6 pound dog had an abscessed anal gland that had erupted.... He woke me up at 3 am in so much pain so I got up and rushed him and they would not even look at him with out 200$ down and that was just an exam and then she said the only thing she could do was euthanize my dog. Sorry but I'm not gonna euthanize my dog for an anal gland dummy so she sent me home and made my dog suffer in pain until 9 o'clock in the morning when my vet the opened. I would never trust my pet with these people ... If their willing no to let a dog suffer in pain for 6 hours than God only knows how they treat the animals... This place should be shut down permanent and maybe some vets should be open longer in Kingston!
EXPENSIVE!!!
Very helpful!!!!
Kind, compassionate staff who made putting my sweet kitty down suddenly bearable.
Five star rating not enough to rate them, They are really nice and friendly people thank you so much for helping us, also thank you for translating information to Arabic.
This place is forsure a Rip off , they told my sister one price to watch her dog for 24hrs they confirmed that price with her serveral times and now they are saying double the price... Gave different medicine without permission and now charging them and receptionist had the audacity to my brother in law. "You don't like it get out and take your dog with you!" Its despicable! Save your money. An go elsewhere please. No compassion at all.
Very friendly and knowledgable. My pups are always in good hands when wexhave an emergency.
I had to bring my elderly dog to be put to sleep on a Sunday. We called in advance, and were treated with compassion, respect and everyone was very gentle with all of us. An unfortunate thing to have to do, but I am so grateful they were there for us at our time of need.
They were thorough and kind when my puppy was injured. During covid I couldn't go in with her but they were kn the phone keeping us informed.
Will never use them again very incompassionate
Wonderful experience
Emergency services are the best and acceptable
Great, supportive care during an urgent, stressful situation with our dog
Very professional service with caring staff.
Only place to bring your pet after hours if theres an emergency
Called to ask advice about a dog that had been tied up outside a pub for 2 hours they told me they couldn't do anything
Very professional and compassionate staff.
Sad morning.... I had to put my cat down after it somehow got outside without us noticing, crossed the city of belleville and got caught up with a truck. We drove to this place in Kingston, and they were good. St**id covid I couldn't go in but they took her in and came outside frequently for me. Anwsered all my questions and stayed an hour or two past closing because of my dramatic situation. They could not save the cat. Complicated surgeries needing two different types of specialist, called over the province nobody could do it. Would of had to been rich (I'm talking paris hilton rich) to save her. I did spent 1500$ on diagnostics and eventually euthanasia, BUT even though they couldn't proceed until I paid them, they did not wait for payment to get the pain meds on board, so at least my baby got the "fun drugs" right away. All in all, the staff tried and tried and dealt with my "sassy" and emotional self through this hard time. They were loving, compassionate. There for me. Spent much time with the vet. Dr Paul went above and beyond standing in the freezing cold without his jacket trying to help me through my histeria. I can't say how they are with day to day things. But I'm glad I had "an adult" there to help me through it. Dr Paul and Jess... If you're reading this... Thank you.
pleasant staff, didn't charge for a false alarm after hours, and reassured us our pup would be okay.
Dr. Bob took a few dozen quills out of our dogs face this evening. They explained the cost before getting into it. It’s expensive but that’s what you should expect when you’re at an after hours vet. Sometimes they get 0 patients a night so they need to make up for that. They were very kind to our dog and explained every step of the procedure to me.
Very caring,efficient but very expensive
They took care of our Lilly for a night when she was experiencing liver failure. Very kind and supportive staff. Thank you.
Caring and professional staff. Open after regular veterinary clinics are closed. Convenient yet very pricey for that convenience in time of emergency for your pet
Absolutely disgusted, taking advantage of people and charge 3X more (almost $600) than any other vet clinics in the city to end the suffering of our cat just because they are the only clinic open in the city during off hours. It is hard enough when dealing with a dying furry family member but to take advantage of people in their time of need and charging more than double in the city is nothing short of greasy. God forbid your beloved pet gets ill outside of standard vet hours, these cold hearted jerks have their eyes on your wallets and if you want to bring relief to your pet, get set to pay an arm and a leg
I took my cat to them last night. He couldn’t walk and was draggy himself across the floor. Thanks to them today he is running across the floor. The medicine they gave him to help him, it sure did. THANKS
Exceptional service ????
Great place saved our dog even gave q discount thank you for helping our luna
friendly, quick, loving attention to my sick furry friend. thanks to the 2 gals at the front desk and dr. leishman :-)
Had to take my pet in during after-hours to be put to sleep. The professionalism, compassion and care shown by the staff (especially Laurie!) was appreciated during such a difficult time. It is expensive as it is an after-hours site, but the money spent was well worth it given the circumstances.
Walked in with my dog. Was greeted in a rushed manner with nothing more than telling me they were busy and it would be a while. Not even a question of what was wrong with my dog. The tattooed lady with the short hair should improve her customer interaction. I ended up leaving after prying an answer out of one of the women concerning whether or not she thought it was truly an emergency or I could wait till the morning. Apparently they have compassion for animals but not people who are coming in distress over the illness of their best friend. I would only visit Kingston Regional Pet Hospital as a last resort. Which, unfortunately, is the nature of their business.
Dr hart was amazing with my girl. Very gentle, thank you so much
They had a good service more than other vet hospitals
Helped my whelping dog with an early case of mastisis. Decent pricing and compassion for any emergency let alone a Friday in the middle of the night.
Sad but they are very sweet there
Assumed I fed my dog drugs, told them no, told she has to be shes out of it. Then they take her in to send her back out, tell me to take to her normal vet there is nothing they can do.
Took my dog due to anemia issues. Was my first time going to this location. I found Dr. Brandon to be compassionate and caring. She took her time to explain everything to us, including the bloodwork results. Went there thinking that a blood transfusion would be needed but that was not the case. My dog will be monitored and his meds increased for now. All the people working there from the receptionist and vet assistant to Dr Brandon were very professional and genuinely caring individuals. I would highly recommend them. Were very apologetic for the long wait as it was busy...but it didn't matter because my dog was looked after and that's all that counts. They do great work and care very much about the animals they see.
Great people skills fall up calls trilled with the service there rarely give five stars but they go above and beyond
We would like to thank Dr. Edwards and the vet techs for assisting with an emergency situation this past weekend professionally and with great compassion. We are not clients of the clinic but required an emergency visit to assist our ill cat. As we were rushing to the office, she became unresponsive. When we arrived at the clinic, the vet tech immediately took our cat into the office and Dr. Edwards completed a full exam. Although there was nothing the Doctor or the techs could do by the time we arrived, we appreciate the urgent care they provided to our pet despite not yet exchanging information. They prioritized our family member’s health first and foremost. Thank you for this excellent care- we won’t forget it. Kathy and Peter
We had to take our dog 1 night as he had been vomiting and not doing well. We were there for just over 2 hours. Everyone was so helpful and kind. They called with updates and were very open about all procedures and costs. They even called back the next day to check up on how our dog was doing. Would highly recommend them.
Very heartless and greedy bunch at this vet's. WAY overpriced.
Super great hospital highly recommend!!!
I took my dog Mitch to this clinic on a Sunday after he had cut his paw on glass while we were at a cottage in Westport. My first interaction with the staff occurred 45 minutes after I arrived when they presented me with an estimate of close to 900.00 to repair it. They hadn't even bothered to examine my dog or his injury. Even though alarm bells were going off in my head, I agreed to the work and was told it would take a couple of hours before they attended to him. Six hours later, I was still waiting. In frustration, I told them to bandage the paw so that I could take him elsewhere. The bill was $415. The following day, I took Mitch to the Westport Veterinary Clinic. Their first question was, "Can we have a look at him? Amen, was my response. Their care and expertise were exceptional. The bill was $355 which included stitching, sedative and loads of helpful advice. My advice is, avoid the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital if at all possible. Take your pet to the clinic in Westport. They'll take good care of it at a very fair price.
They were wonderful and so caring when it comes to our fur babies. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to ours but we know she was in good hands at Kingston regional pet hospital . Thank you for everything.
Excellent service for pet emergencies and prices are reasonable as well.
Very helpful and accommodation with my dog..great service and staff
My wife had to take our dog on weekend for an emergency, Absolutely disgusted, taking advantage of people that have no other choice then pay the price being charged double and more than any other vet clinics in the city. ($4,700.00) for a c-section is pure robbery and selling a can of milk formula at the prize of $50.00 when you can buy it for $32.00. I really don’t know how these guys can sleep at night having in mind that they are taking advantage of people.
Great understanding staff...extremely expensive though.
Very helpful each time I had to use them
Amazing staff! They were calm and helpful and so kind I would recommend to anyone needing emergency services for their pet.
Very compassionate and patient staff.
Absolutely appalled. I have taken one pet here in the past and the bill was over a 1300 to keep him on an ivy drip for 3 hours. But you pay it because you love your pet and you won't let them suffer. This morning my cat was severely injured and our regular vet normally will do emergency night calls. But when there was a problem with thier phone line and we couldn't get through we went to this place. There was no other people waiting and when my husband rang the door as I cradled my injured and bleeding pet the staff turned us away. We tried again our vet but it the phones still weren't working so we went back 45 min later hoping they would do something to help. Not a damn given and she turned us away again. Disgusting! No compassion for animals. They care only for money. Don't believe me just read the reviews. It sickens me that they call themselves a veterinarian hospital. ????
They took us relatively fast when our puppy had eaten something he shouldn't have and the technician was extremely friendly and helpful throughout!
Took our cat to see them after hours because he was bleeding really bad after a fight with a dog. We where turned away at the door without our cat seen. Turns out if your personal doctor has an after hours number they wont see your animal. The after hours number wasnt working and now we get to watch our cat bleeding in our arms because this clinic is to lazy to see him. They dont even have any other clients there at this time.
As for being open 24 hours a day it is a bit pricey, but you paying for that back shift for emergencies that could save your pets life.
We have had several visits here and they are always great with our pets.
This place was amazing to us and our fur baby. They saved his life and were so accommodating and compassionate as we were there on holidays. Dr Brandon did an outstanding job.
Very friendly staff that helped me through a tough time.
Very good people
Receptionast Racheal was extremely rude and inconsiderate on the phone Making assumptions and accusations totally irrelevant to my pets situation. Way to make me feel like a good dog owner ! Regardless I'm on my way there now ONLY because no where else is open.
(Translated) Avoid it unless you have no other choice. Any question will cost you $ 200 and you will be given the same answers as Dr. Google. If your pet is not critically ill enough, you will be told to come back when he is worse off ($$). Money seems to be the priority here.
In the 3 times I've had to take my Lab to the emergency vet, they have always been professional and understanding. We were always given options that best fit our budget, and left with a healthy happy pup
We went to the hospital a couple of weeks ago when our dog became ill. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye The staff and Dr Pounder were so compassionate with us as we said goodbye. It was a horrible time and they made it a bit more bareable. Today we received a sympathy card from them in the mail . we want to thank them for everything they did for us that night. I would highly recommend this clinic
Whoever "Michelle" is, should not be working there. She is rude, cold and her phone mannerism leaves alot to be desired. I would steer FAR AWAY solely because of they chose this lady to be the one who greets potential clients..imagine how they treat patients and clients. Find a new job Michelle!
These "vets" only care about being paid, it's all about the money, they don't care about your pet! They won't even offer help of other places you may get care on off hours because they want your money! Just sad!
Had a fantastic experience here with my pup Stella. They made a follow up call next day making sure my pup was okay. First time having an issue with my girl and they made it as pleasant as possible!
They saved my dogs life! I couldn't be more thankful. We recommend anyone that needs help to go.
My parents took our family cat to KRPH on the evening of July 12th. They were turned away at the door, as there was "no vet there"? How is this possible that at an emergency clinic, there is no one on call or a technician to at least stabilize the animal? I was frantic, after my parents said they had been turned away. I called twice, asked how they could turn away an animal who needs help. I was hung up on, twice. My parents were told to go to Belleville, and due to nighttime vision problems were unable to safely do so. Our Bailey was taken to her regular vet first thing in the a.m. on July 13th. We were told there were clots that moved from the heart to the lungs, that she had had a stroke. She was humanely euthanized. I have never experienced this lack of compassion, or negligence in the veterinary field. I have used this service in the past, and paid astronomical rates for the service. They charge more, so you can go there when no one else is available. Disgusting. I have reported to the OSPCA.
Staff was not very helpful or personable and it cost a fortune. Procedures and options were not explained very well and one of the girls answering the phone was downright cold and condescending.
While it took a while to get our pet seen during a holiday, the staff gave us their full attention and made us feel welcome. Our pet was diagnosed and treated efficiently and with tender care. She's on the mend and should be all better within a month!
We are first time pet owners who became concerned about our puppy. We were given wonderful advice over the phone, and when we brought our dog in to see the vet, he was treated with such care. When we took him home, they gave us very clear instructions on how to care for our pup. Couldn't be more thankful to this pet hospital, our dog is doing very well again.
Open after hours. Very caring and knowledgeable. Your pet is In good hands and that's all that counts.
Worst place, they hold your pet hostage and wont help unless you pay a small fortune upfront. What kind of Vet will let animals suffers.
Unfortunately both my dogs are accident prone so we've had to use the emergency hospital many times. Every time they've been caring, compassionate, and thorough. Emergency care is expensive for a reason. So glad this clinic is available to us in Kingston.
Better than 5 stars!!! FANTASTIC service in every way!!! When I called at 8pm they were upfront about the wait time (only a few minutes) and after hours fee (nominal compared to waiting 4-6 hours for after hours service at the vet down the road). The people I spoke with over the phone and met at my vehicle were super friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Tait was exceptional! She called shortly after seeing my cat and confirmed her symptoms. She offered several different treatment options and explained the costs and benefits of each. Dr. Tait was incredibly accommodating and offered very reasonable options, more than any other vet I've been to. I strongly believe that I saved myself time, money and stress by going to KRPH but more importantly, my little buddy got the medicine she needed to feel better quickly and efficiently! I'm so glad I found this place! THANK YOU KRPH!!!!
Professional and caring staff
Kind, caring and informative support. Willing to discuss all kinds of options to facilitate informed decision making. Followed up with a checkin phone call within 24 hours. Thank you for the care that you provide during stressful times. (Puppy ingested a coiled wire)
On New Years eve day, my daughter had to take her Pup (1 year old) to the clinic, as it had fallen very ill. The vet's were very quick to attend to him, however he passed away. My daughter was treated with a lot of compassion, and was allowed to stay with the pup as long as she wanted. We weren't charged for the visit, and they also kept the pup for us for a few days until we could make arrangements. Again, there was no charge. Thank you for making a horrible situation more bearable. We strongly recommend your services to our friends and family.
My experience with the person over the phone was very poor. I said right from the beginning of the call that my inquiry was regarding medication that my dog given from our normal vet office. She let me go on for several minutes explaining what was going on and then said to me that she was very busy and didn't have time to 'sit on the phone and chat'. She then told me that they are not allowed to give advice over the phone about medication that they haven't prescribed and that I have to call the vet in the morning. That I totally understand, but she could have told me that right at the start and didn't need to put a snobby comment in. Really poor customer service
Woke up this morning to my dog with a very swollen face. I called this vet and they were so kind and caring. We arrived within an hour and they took Rosie back within the first five minutes of us being there. The vet was very friendly on the phone and the receptionist was super sweet with a good sense of humour. This was our quickest vet visit and I left feeling like we were very cared for :)
Fantastic crew. Came in with 2 dogs and 500 porcupine quills. Professional, sympathetic, gentle and efficient. Lifesavers! Simply the best
We were very impressed with the compassion and professionalism of the technician and doctor at the hospital. At an extremely difficult time they were empathetic and kind in their examination of our dog and interaction with us. The outlined our options clearly and honestly which was much appreciated. I want to thank them again for their compassionate care of myself and Kaylee. I would highly recommend them with no hesitation. Gloria Morris
