First Experience. Went in with my girlfriend to buy cat food and was left waiting for the receptionist to get off the phone for 45 minutes. Normally I would be completely ok with this however chatting with a usual customer about just anything but animals frustrated me. I suspect its a usual customer as they were friends talking on the phone and not an employee letting someone know information about the business. Second Experience. Saw they had nail trimming for cats by donation and making the appointment a week in advance and confirming a day before I was left in the lobby for 15 minutes with them staring before asking why I was there, apparently they had no record of me making an appointment and seemed angry I was their. A note. Guess the only reason they are still in business is so the cops can sit pretending to turn left while watching for speeding drivers. The same SUV was parked when I went for my appointment with its blinkers on and left just to reposition as it was blocking the god damn roadway for me to get out after. Guess you either need to be a cop or have some kind of unspoken membership to be at least acknowledged by them.

After 20 years with Dr. Slater and his incredible, knowledgeable, caring, compassionate staff...no matter where I have lived outside of Kingston, (and yes I have been to many other Veterinarian offices) I always have returned to Collins Bay Animal Hospital. Our dog Parker recently had surgery to amputate a toe that had Squamous Cell Carcinoma under the nailbed. The surgery was flawless and our pet received outstanding care from Dr. Vetrovsky and the rest of the staff at this facility. Thankfully, Parker has recovered well and should have many good years left in him thanks to the care he received. We would recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone with a pet in need.

Everybody there is compassionate warm and very caring. My dog was so sick and hadn't eaten in days The vet aid sat down and spoon fed him so he would eat. Without a doubt, my dog adores Dr. Slater. I have never seen him react like that before.

Never seem to get straight answers and the secretary has the worst social skills I have ever come into contact with. You wont even get a smile from her. I was paying for my dogs medication the the cat that is in there was on the counter by the debit machine as I was paying, she grabbed the cat aggressively and tossed him to the ground in frustration. If she can't treat her own animals nice why would I bring my animals there? I will be chaining my vet immediately.

I had to put my cat down last week, they took such good care of my baby boy chester. Chester had been going to the same vet in Collins bay for 13 years, since he was a kitten. This place is amazing because they don't try to upsell you, they explain everything in great detail so there are no surprises later on. They go above and beyond. The Collins bay vet took the time to go out and buy a card, they all signed it then mailed it out. You can't put a price on that, all vets have their prices, but they have such love and respect to show and offer your fur babies. I STRONGLY suggest checking this place out if you have a fur baby that may need a vet, or are thinking of adding a new companion to your life, for sure book an appointment with Collins Bay vet.

Sob nearly killed my dog! Paid to have her micro chipped and no chip in her, went in 3 times after having her spayed and he grabbed her front legs extended her upwards and stretched the area that the paper print out tells u not to let them extend, paid to have her cauterized as I know she has skin allergies came out with stitches that she was reacting to the 3x i went back , wasn't until i went to a new vet that i found out she was having an allergic reaction to the stitches he had looked at on 3 separate occasions and said she was fine and then she was placed on iv fluids for 2 days. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Great staf. Very caring thorough and genuine. Also gave me a 20% discount for dental surgery for my dog if I at least booked her surgery within 1 month of the appt/assessment/checkup. Dudnt have to take her in for her surgery within the month...just to book it...so I was able to save up for the surgery. Aftercare was amazing. They followed up with a phone call twice to see how she's doing afyer her surgery.
