I've received exceptional care at Bayridge. I called them with a serious issue having never been to the clinic before and they got me in right away. After a cancer diagnosis we made the decision to not put our kitty through hell and I found Dr Wilson was extremely compassionate and comforting through a very difficult decision and day. I've been at other clinics in the region and found the vet very cold during the 'one bad day' we all have at pet owners. I received a very nice card in the mail and they even made a donation to an animal charity in our pets name which I found very comforting. I've had my other 2 cats to the clinic and received exceptional care both times. I've found they've never left me hanging, anytime they've said they'll call me back they always do and they followup to see how my pets are doing. Thanks again to all the staff at BAH.

I am writing this review a little late, but I feel so strongly about the quality of care at this clinic that I wanted take the time to post a review. Dr.Jay Black, and the entire staff at Bayridge Animal Hospital are absolutely outstanding. Although my dog Caesar has since passed away, during the 5 or 6 years that Dr.Black and the staff at BAH cared for Caesar, I have nothing but the best things to say about them. I have the utmost respect for the entire staff. Thank you very much Dr.Black.

i choose this vet as it was close to my home and I am so happy that I did. Both of my cats had excellent care. The staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Wilson and Dr. Black were the 2 vets that I usually saw. Both are wonderful in their care and explaining everything in detail plus returning any calls promptly.I can't say enough good things about the place.Sadly one of our cats, Caramel, became very ill this year. When she was so sick, when I called they made time to see her right away. The care and compassion is outstanding. Unfortunately Caramel was too ill and we had to say goodbye to her. I want to say thanks for their excellent care during this trying time. 2016 Even though I live in Amherstview I still bring my cat there. I have yet to find a more caring staff and vets as I have found here.

I was with another Vet Clinic before coming to Bayridge Animal Hospital. A neighbour recommended Bayridge. I had an unpleasant experience at the other clinic. They had recommended a costly procedure for teeth cleaning twice in about 8 months. I was upset as I take very good care of my dog and do everything in my power to keep her teeth as clean as I can. When I went for our first visit to Bayridge Animal Hospital, Dr. Black asked me if I brushed my dog's teeth and asked how I managed to keep them so clean and white. Complete opposite of what I had been told at the other clinic. Needless to say I will never go back to the other establishment. I am very happy with the service and care my dog gets from Bayridge Animal Hospital. They are professional, caring people and my dog loves to go there.

I have always taken my pets to Bayridge Animal Hospital for over 16 years. I started seeing Dr. Black with my first cat and then as more doctors came on board, we started to see other doctors. I have always been so impressed by the kindness and sincere treatment everyone who works there gives to my pets and my family. I appreciate how the whole staff goes the extra mile when I call with a crazy question or when I come in for a pet visit. I have a new kitten now and I will continue to bring her to Bayridge Animal Hospital. The one thing that stands out the most, they even cry along with you when you are sending your sweet furbaby to the rainbow bridge.

I took my Maine Coon cat in to remove tumors. Dr. Jay Black removed removed one tumor and left the other one directly under it. He demanded secondary billing to remove the second. My Siamese cat needed teeth removed. Dr. Jay Black removed the teeth and provided the wrong kind of medicine for pain treatment! My cat died within weeks, unable to eat. My second Siamese cat grew very ill immediately after. We took him to Dr. Jay Black who injected fluid into his back, gave him steroid pills and shrugged his shoulders when nothing helped. My second Siamese died exactly one month later. Do not take your animal to this vet! He will kill it and charge you for it! We never went back.

We find the staff very nice and the vets are extremely knowledgeable and explain everything very clearly and will go over anything you have questions about. We had the fortune of meeting Dr Jay Black over 20 years ago. Over the last 20 years we have taken into our home any stray that comes our way so he never knew what we were dragging through his door. All of our animals have been treated, and continue to be treated with love, respect, patience and dignity especially at the end of their lives. Our animals are our family. We have been accused of loving animals more than human beings (true) so our trust in Dr Black and his staff is unquestionable. We have had a few vets over the last 40 years but Dr Black and his staff are truly the best. There is not a day we don't thank God for bringing them into our lives. There employees are nice and kind. they take really good care of your animal . they let you ask questions and explain everything in detail. But I would like them to smile. I know it's masked season but you can still smile through the mask and I can see if your smiling or not.. and to have more of a relationship with the animals, that your working with... thanks ????

They made us feel comfortable about a diagnosis. Days later when things got worse for my dog, we were told it was side effects from the anti biotics. I just wish they had investigated a little deeper, who knows, maybe I would still have her, maybe not.

My dog C-Moss arrived at this clinic due to an emergency in 2005 when she almost drowned on a canoe trip I took with her and as a result developed a huge hematoma that needed to be attended to immediately. The care and concern during this "adventure" made us decide to transfer her files to this clinic and we're both happy we dd. Almost a decade later C-Moss and I have had lots of opportunity to vouch for this clinic; a cruciate ligament surgery (she was one of John Wilson's first candidates for tightrope surgery), two ear surgeries, and one dental surgery. And of course her annual wellness appointments. My dog is a senior now...and I find great comfort in the fact that her Vet care has been diligently carried out by this clinic who knows her so well...and are always so kind to her...and me too!

BAH is the best Veterinary clinic in Kingston! Dr. Jeff Kaufmann is the best Vet that we've ever had. We have had many dogs over the years and switched over to BAH from another clinic with our previous Great Dane who passed away a few years ago. Their compassion will never be forgotten. We got another Great Dane that we rescued at eight months old and is now 3 years old. I can't express how great this Veterinary clinic! Thank You!!

I've had enough experience with veterinarians to know good from bad, and I've never had an experience like what i had with Bayridge Animal Hospital. I have a rare chihuahua/wolf. With the 6 people he approves, he's the most gentle loving guy, but everyone else in the world is the enemy and needs to be eliminated on sight, but really, he's just a scared little boy. When I brought him in as a new patient, I had to wait outside because of COVID-19, so I handed off to a very brave and friendly assistant, while I waited and worried outside. I noted the wait time to be more than I was expecting, only to find out our vet, Dr. Kaufmann, had a very good explanation. He actually took the time to let my guy become a bit more familiar with the new surroundings before working with him. He sat on the floor and offered treats and a butt scratch, but chihua-wolves are on high alert, and ready for war. I can't stress how much this meant to me. Dr. Kaufmann somehow broke through the defences and made my guy feel relaxed enough to have his exam done. I was amazed and relieved because everyone lived to see their loved ones at the end of the day. When it was all over, he personally came out to debrief. Explaining everything in great detail, including a modified care plan due to my guys size and sensitive emotions, like a regular person. Friendly and casual, instead of a clinical robot with no personality. This was what made Bayridge Animal Hospital the best place I've ever used. If you have a pet you can bet these people will care as much as you do.

These guys are awesome. Been taking our cats there for the last three years or so after we moved to the West End. We are now back in the Kingscourt area and will continue to take our cats there. They are concerned for the animal's best well being and if they think a specialist would be best for the animal (as the case is with our ginger tabby) they let you know and why. I definitely trust our boys with these folks.
