You know that we do not usually stop to put tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

Took us in right away good service
Money grabbers. Wanted me to pay an extra money for an exam when all I needed was ear mite drops. The receptionistwith the painted dog was rude and unhelpful. If you don’t want your dog to get sick don’t bring your pet to an animal hospital. Normally I go to Pembina, but my vet had no time today to get me in, after research, this place had soaring reviews, but my experience with your receptionist left me aggravated and disgruntled.
The entire staff are wonderful. We are so happy we found this team they soar over the other vets we've tried. Always going to take our furry family members here. We have 3 dogs and a cat and all were treated with love: even our cranky cat. Office is well kept and they are super vigilant with the COVID19 rules. Great people.
Meh, the Dr was super nice, how ever .... I brought my puppy in for her shots and a check up. I was charged for the vet visit/check up but I am More than confident she didn't get a check up. Every other vet I've been too give you a sheet with every thing ticked off that they checked on as well as the shots they were given. And they slammed me with $200 preventative worm/tick pills. Honestly won't be taking g any of my pets back there.
Dr Adelman is amazing as is his receptionist! We adopted 2 rescue pups and were obligated to use the vet that was aligned with the rescue program. Now that we are done with the required visits, we will be bringing our pups back to Seven Oaks! They have treated all of our pets with compassion and love!
The best by far. Highly recommended
Just called to make a appointment for my cat who isn't doing well as a concerned owner and was completely dismissed that I should be taking him to the emergency vet as we don't have time to deal with him with the amount of tests we might pull making me feel like I was the worst owner imaginable I was extremely upset will never attempt to consider reccomneding if you want to chastised by the staff for being a bad owner forgive me for calling because I was concerned total lack of compassion
Best damn vet and clinic I have been to! Dr Adelman shows a genuine love for animals and treats you with and your animal with great respect. The staff are wonderful as well. I highly recommend this clinic!
Best Vet clinic north of Portage!
The wait times are horrible here. They don't check on you in the wait room if you are even breathing still. I've seen a lot people in rough shape should have gone ahead of others, including me. Avoid this place.
Dr Adlemans one of the best ! Highly recommend him for anyone who has pets, him and his staff are great and a pleasure always to deal with.
My pet was refused care by BOTH administration assistants and I was asked to leave because I told them I had a budget of only $1000. I am a single parent with a young child and I don't have that kind of money just laying around.. who does!? When I told them that I had to get my daughter to school and had other payments to make, I was told "That's not our problem" WOW!!!?? If this is the kind of empathy and compassion that a human being is receiving, I'm wondering what kind of care our pets will receive! I have been taking my dog to this vet for a few years and will not be back due to the lack of customer service provided to me as A PAYING CUSTOMER!!
Very expensive. The dr is very nice. But one of the receptionists was very rude to my daughter when her car had to be put down.
We love all of the staff at seven oaks! Have had great service and compassion from Dr. A, Lauren, Laura, Oliver & Terrance. We will not go anywhere else! Whenever I have an issue (I have had many worrisome situations now especially with my dog eating things he shouldn’t) they are always a simple phone call or email away, ready and willing to answer my questions and accommodate me for emergencies. I can not thank the staff enough for everything they have done for us throughout the past few years. Daxton always loves to visit even when it’s in not under such favorable circumstances!
Check the other reviews, all the positive are oddly not people who never reviewed other places. AVOID this place. EDIT: Response is nothing but complete lies, which is not shocking on bit. Something has changed. They DO not care about the your pets health and flat out refused to let my buy my cats medicine with out spending $500 to check his blood, something I CAN and DO on a regular basis. They are flat out money hungry scum bags. And to make it clear, I didn't refuse the appointment. I said it would have to be next month because there was an ACTUAL problem I needed checked. I seen similar things happen before while I was waiting there, always assumed I didn't know the whole picture. Well I didn't. They are scumbags. My pet health comes well before anything else I'm my life, and has never gone with the best for him. This whole thing is beyond discusting and I feel like an idiot for seeing similar (and worse) happening to other customers and didn't take that as a clue. Feel free to read my reviews, I almost only have good things to say. I find most things not worth it, but this is the most discusting act I have encountered in my life. And look how the owner responses on here? Yeah all a big joke to him. I seen them call animal rescue on a person before (again me assuming I was missing one side of the story). Please respond. Please make a joke of this whole thing or pretend I'm not a customer. And over reviewers are right, again I don't 15 minutes standing there when the two girls were talking about there night out. And I did walk down the hall a few times to get they're attention. It's no wonder the place is always dead now every time a come in.
absolutely amazing vet! genuinely loves animals, goes above and beyond each and every time...for those complaining about wait times, keep in mind you are at a vet where others care may be more urgent and require immediate attention. if it was your animal that was needing care immediately i'm sure your tune would be different
Staff do not seem to know what they are doing in the slightest.
I would to to say that Seven Oaks Veterinary Hospital has provided nothing but EXEMPLARY and COMPASSIONATE petcare for us for over 15 years. Sadly, 3 times they have come to my home (Winston, Tbone and our beloved Emma recently) and his in house euthanasia with family and loved ones on our patio window saying our sad goodbyes with all of us crying. There are some things I will not discuss online but Dr. Larry said some of the most beautiful words to my 9 year old daughter that I will take to my grave. We talk about baseball and hockey players as mentors and heroes but Dr Larry (and his staff) are something to aspire to. I dont know if I could do what he does on a daily basis. I will never forget Lauras words when I asked her if she wanted some tea or coffee when they came to our house when Emma was in extreme pain at the end and she said "we are here for you".They had a very heavy load that morning and things were happening a dervish whirlwind. I read the "they are scum" review and I cant believe how thoughtless some people can be , but sadly this is the world we live in where people can blithely assassinate ones character just by being a faceless keyboard warrior. Thank you to everybody there.....hope you enjoyed the pizzas! It was the least I could do to say thank you so very much for you being the people that you are.
Upon entering the clinic to leaving, the entire experience was wonderful! I was greeted by such a friendly receptionist, Lauren, who immediately took care of not only me, but most importantly, my pet. I initially called because I had an emergency with my pet and he needed to be seen and was booked an appointment right away. The no stress handling of pets is something you don't typically see at other clinics and the veterinarian himself was very accommodating, extremely insightful, and knowledgable. The office manager, Lora, is very kind and welcoming. Everything was explained to me clearly so I understood exactly what my costs were and why they were. I've even come back for the grooming services and let me tell you, Oliver, is very talented! The moment I stepped foot in the clinic, I felt like I was a part of their family. That they truly cared about my pet which left me feeling trustworthy. My experience doesn't compare to the previous clinic that I was a client at. I can honestly say that they care about my pet like it's their own. And if you're a pet owner who loves their pet and wants to give them the best possible care they can get, I recommend coming down to see Dr. Adelman and is fantastic staff. Thanks Seven Oaks Vet Hospital, you're the best!
Very pricey and unnecessary tests suggested. Took 1 puppy here from a litter of 8. The first shot and physical was 230$!! Plus they suggested other tests for ridiculous things. All 7 of our pups went to another city vet for same exam and shots (spent 15 minutes with both the vet here and at seven oaks- so its bot that they care more at 7oaks.. they care more about money) It was 116$ each pup at other vet and got heartworm chews aswell (didnt get these from 7 oaks), our actual vet clinic for our adult dogs didnt have available appointments so we had to go to other vets.
Just like some of the other reviews I've seen if you mention you have a certain budget they seem to either want to refuse you service or if they do help it doesn't seem to be as good quality as it could be.
I had an Incredible experience with Dr. Adelman and everyone else in this building!! I used to be at another vet but I made the switch to stay here and I’m very glad that this is now my go to vet. they’ve took such good care of my cats and have been so caring and patience with all my questions. I finally feel like I found a vet that really cares about my animals and my best interests! Thank you everyone here !
Been going there for years. Dr A, Lora and staff are great.
Amazing Doctors and staff! Brought my little kitty Simba and I learnt so much from just my 1st visit. They’re my go to jow????????
Dr. Adelman is a wonderful, caring, gentle vet. Highly recommended! Was able to get my cat in quite quickly compared to many others, which was so appreciated.
Dr. Adelman is absolutely fantastic. Lora and Lauren have also been wonderful to deal with, especially at a time of high stress when my fur baby is sick. They all were so warm and kind during the consultation, putting my worries at ease. Everyone was really helpful in my dogs post-surgery care instructions, helping assure that I was doing everything correctly and never hesitated to answer all of the questions I had days to follow. My dog is healing so much better than I'd imagined after only 1 week, and I am so thankful I came to this practice. And a big thank-you to their tech Brandi as well for helping out in surgery, you guys did a fantastic job all around!
My family and I have been clients of Seven Oaks for 30 years. Please do not Larry's friendly and gentle vibe trick you. This clinic is extremely deceptive in their practices. They vaccinate dogs and cats with a 3 year vaccination, but tell you it is a 1 year vaccine, tricking you into over-vaccinating your pets and paying 3 times as much as you should. I only found this out when I switched to another vet (who is great!), and all my pets medical records were sent to the new vet. Originally I switched vets because I was quoted $2000 for a medical procedure, which the new vet did for $800. I am sad to say that I must recommend against using Seven Oaks Vet.
Just another money hungry vet overcharging and milking services.
Friendly staff
Friendly and very helpful with all of my questions.
Overall disappointed , found lost dog tags that I traced back to them as vet. Had to educate the staff on advising clients with regards to registering their pets with lost pets when the get a rabies vaccine.
Took the best care of my dogs journey home after having him almost 20 years the care they put into this was very appreciated ❤
Terrible RUDE miserable management. I would not recommend to anyone
Dr. Adelman and his team are the salt of the earth.
The staff here all are true animal lovers. Dr. A is extremly patient and understanding with pets and explains to pet owners what needs to be done and why. Have been going there for there with all my dogs for well over 15 years and wouldnt think about any place else. Seven Oaks Vet has truly been exceptional in the vetrinany care my pets.
I do not recommend
Called seven oaks veterinary hositpal today and right away the receptionist was super rude about me trying to find the right vet for my new dog. All I was trying to do is find out prices on two services, she was rude and unhelpful. She gave me a quote to spay my dog for $900 and didn’t explain any of it, they are double the price of ANY other place in the city. All the other vet companies I called today were super nice and explained everything very carefully as it’s important to find a good place to bring our pets to.
my dog chloe loves dr A
Dr adelman and staff are the best who care about your pets
Caring
I have been taking my cats to this clinic for at least 30 years. While the owner may have changed, the service and care for my beloved cats has not. As an example, one of my cats was diagnosed with bone cancer in one of his rear toes and the normal recommendation is to amputate the leg. Instead and on his own initiative, Dr. Adelman spent time researching alternatives and was able to save the leg by doing a toe amputation that he had never done before. I got another 5.5 wonderful years with my dear cat, and he got to keep four on the floor. I highly recommend Dr. Adelman and this clinic for any one who loves their pets.
Dr. Adelman and his staff are absolutely fantastic. Very caring, compassionate, honest, thorough, efficient and all things a great Vet clinic should be. Dr. Adelman goes above expectations when caring and assessing what is best for your animal and I could not ask for a better Vet to care for my dog. Good veterinarians are rare to come by and he is definitely one of them.
If you truly love your your pets, this is the ONLY hospital to bring them. Dr. Adelman and his staff give you outstanding service. If we hadn't brought our FIV+ cat to you we would have never had the extra three and a half years with our beloved Harley. Thank you .
Dr. A is the most caring vet I have ever dealt with. He is always so gentle and patient with my overwhelmed dog and cats. The cost is always fair and I never feel taken advantage of. Highly recommend.
The vet is awesome with animals and the atmosphere is very welcoming
I love this doctor. He is so good with the animals
Dr. "A" is indeed a great vet as another reviewer said. We've been taking our dogs to him since he has started there and are always impressed with him an his staff. I think the review by Rob Blaich is for Seven Oaks Hospital. Unless of course he is actually a dog or cat.
I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else....wonderful people work here.
Awesome staff
Always a good experience great staff ????
Everyone here is great. Brought my dog here and Dr. A put comfort of my dog first. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, Dr. A and his team treats your pet like he/she was their own. Prices are steep (but most vets are).
Have only attempted to use this vet twice in the past few months. (took my dog there as a puppy before we moved away 10 years ago) First experience this year was, as others have commented, rude and dismissive. The matters were urgent (dog couldn't walk with a leg problem, and had a hot spot). When I called in a panic they did nothing to put me at ease, instead made me feel like I was bothering them and should've made an appointment long in advance. How can you though? When I got there I was grateful and repeated my thanks. We were seen right away. I signed a paper agreeing to a $200-something charge. Later was told it would be over $400. They charged for a cone (we didn't need it), charged for cleaning sponges (never used them before on the hot spots but apparently needed them this time), a cleaning solution (though the doctor was shown what we have and said what he was giving was better), a charge to shave around the hot spot (sure, I agree with that fee), a brief hospitalization fee (which was for the 30 minutes we had to leave the dog there -- less than an hour in total was our time there). I could've challenged the fees and said no to a bunch but didn't want to come across as nitpicky since I already felt I needed to bow down for them doing me a favour on short notice. This past weekend, emailed pics and a vid of our dog in distress where he wasn't eating or walking. Asked if there was a way they could see him today. I never got a reply. (Thankfully, the dog is somewhat better today and we're waiting to see if there's improvement tomorrow.) I do remember the receptionist (that voice) from 12 years ago before we moved to another city and didn't need a Winnipeg vet. She was friendly and personable then. Times have changed. And when I see how rude the doctor is with replies on here, I sense the mood is set from the top. What a shame, because I remember singing the doctor's praises over 10 years ago when I first met him. He was new there at the time. He gave us some freebies and samples of products. I didn't feel like we were being nickel and dimed at all. Fast forward 10 years, and they seem just miserable and money hungry. I await the doctor's defensive attack on here. It's his reputation and terrible PR for the business. Keep lashing out at people when they share their experience and express opinion. He's entitled to his own, yes, but remember that we are the customer. You need to earn our trust, not the other way around.
We have been going here as long as Clinic has been open ! Pleased with the caring and compassion from Dr. Adelman and his staff ! Our Pooches even get excited !
To the owner.... I agree with reviews on here.... POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY RUDE! They do not care about their customers because it was advised they have lots anyways. The receptionist/ secretary is so rude and ignorant and the voice mail left by the manager was no better. They upcharge their customers on medicine and products because they say every vet is different... I can understand price vary however when u upcharge more than 50% that’s a rip off. Very sad and poor service ecspecially when this girl is the first face you see and the one representing your company...shameful and unprofessional. My family is switching over to my vet now and I will be expressing this experience with friends as well.
This place is the very vision of a complete dump of an establishment. I have never seen such poor management and incredibly rude manager. the service they provide is below sub par and from what I have witnessed treat their staff like they are less than human. the manager Lara seems to have an incredible Karen complex probably the worst I've ever seen, I wouldn't even recommend this place for dying animals. the only reason they have one star is because yelp won't let me give them a zero. If you don't care about your pets then 100% take them here.
Terrible customer service, unfriendly, rude. I get it sometimes it's just and your in a rush but being rude and hanging up on someone is an unacceptable business practice.
Awesome place, Awesome service & very friendly staff. These people show the love they have for the animals ???????? Glad me and my cat ????Gally found this place! ????????
Very friendly staff, treat your pet very well, doctor is awesome and friendly as well! My pup had a great time meeting everyone there, and I felt great about or visit. Thanks!
Very caring and professional.
They are very helpful
Great place, staff a service.
My current dog has a serious amount of allergies that required a safety plan for him and regular visits for gland treatmants. Also in his history; a major surgery that was needed to help him due to a birth defect, and later on dental work done that resulted in my 8 year old dog resorting back to his puppy play ways(also teeth cleaning highly recommended). My dog thrives daily thanks to this amazing vet who helps me understand with drawings, explanations and patients of his needs. Him and his team accommodate my dog in every way i can think of, including an email address for after hour emergencies and provide an all around caring atmosphere. In my experience finding a good vet is not easy, however this doctor I trust wholeheartedly and recommend him to any true animal lover. I have went to him for over fifteen years and my animals received the best care. We feel blessed and thankful to have him on our side and think of him as an angel on earth. A bit extreme I know but his nature and ways are truly apprieted by my animals and my heart. Thank you for reading my review.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff!
I called the hospital a few times trying to get through (opened hours of course) no answer. The one time I actually got through I got hung up on. So I decided to actually go in and was treated so rudely by the people who work there. I later found out the one person I was talking to was actually the manager. Would not recommend if you want good customer service and reliable help.
Crooks and thieves! No regard for the pet owner’s wishes.. Arrogant and rude when questioned regarding treatment. Money-grubbing and self-serving! Shame on them!
Such rude staff. So glad I switched to mcphillips!
Love the people. But find them massively over priced
Incredibly compassionate and attentive staff!
Friendly and caring vet
Fantastic people
Working from petsmart we have had nothing but problems with this vet clinic. I can only assume that they won’t give their rabies expiry over the phone because they have a grooming salon as well and see us as competition. Every other vet in the city has no problem releasing this info to their own clients and will fax it to us or send it by email or release it on a call if we phone them. This clinic will only give this info in person and it makes for a huge inconvenience to their own customers! If you are a client of theirs and want your dog groomed anywhere you need your vaccine info please hold onto it or you’ll be taking a drive down to their clinic to get it. The secretary and management is very rude to deal with, I would not recommend this place to anyone based on the experiences I’ve had and their unprofessional attitudes.
Dr. A & the staff are all fantastic
Please keep regular business hours or indicate on Google what hours will be kept regularly
Very friendly
Dr. "A" is an easy going guy that loves animals.
