I usually take my 2 dogs to Transcona Vet Clinic, but we have moved to Charleswood, so I thought I would try a clinic in our area. I called around to a couple of places and decided to take them to Roblin Animal Hospital. Upon arrival there were 2 female receptionists that were very friendly and showed me into the exam room. As soon as the vet came it, it was clear that he was nervous around my dogs. My 2 dogs are large dogs and they are certainly a handful. They are also very nervous around men and are more nervous when men seem nervous around them. The vet asked for help from the female receptionist as well as help from another vet to restrain my dog for the examination. My dogs have never had to be restrained before, and they go annually for all of their check ups and go to doggie day care. The vet was nice enough, but it all seemed very disorganized. He didn't know which vaccine was the oral versus the nasal vaccine for bordetella when one of the receptionists/assistants asked him. When trying to administer the distemper needle, he said one of my dogs would need to be held because it could be dangerous. This dog has had her distemper every time it has been required. She does not bite and is very social. He made me nervous about her reaction because he was nervous. So I stopped the examination, paid for the annual exam and the one vaccine he was able to administer orally, and made an appointment for my other dog at the Transcona clinic. It is a far drive, but honestly, I could not trust that this vet knew what he was doing and was comfortable doing it. I am told that the main vet during the week is excellent, I cannot speak to that though as I did not see him, but I can definitely say I will not be back to this clinic again. If you are going to try this clinic, schedule your appointment during the week, rather than a Saturday.

The staff was very friendly and were very good with my dog. The staff was also very helpful after surgery and gave me all the information I needed to help my dog recover. I was shocked when they called a couple days after Riley’s surgery to check on her. That was very nice and appreciated. There were no issues and Riley recovered very quickly. I will continue to take Riley to Roblin Animal Hospital for all her needs. The strawberry/kiwi candle is recommended too.

Received a cute little kitty from a friend and needed to have her spayed. My regular vet fees for spay was outrageous so I contacted Roblin. I was very surprised at how inexpensive they were and what was even better was the staff and treatment we received. I would highly recommend anyone go here for their pet's needs! They follow up after the fact and you can definitely tell they genuinely care about your pet. Kudos!

We've been taking our dogs to RAH since Dr. Fisk took over the clinic a while back. The clinic team is excellent. Vet assistants are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Dr. Fisk is super nice, very calm and patient with the dogs. He's attentive and really takes the time to explain things and ensure you're aware of all the treatment options available for your pet. Whenever we've had an urgent matter, the RAH was able to squeeze us in no problem. We are lucky to have such a wonderful vet clinic a 2 minute drive from home!

I took my dog into see Dr. Meshack Kusa and he was a delight to work with. My little dog is a bit of a wrangler and he was able to care for her with no problems. The second time I had to take her in was for an allergy issue which morphed into an ear infection and he was so kind to her. She used to cry when she went to her other vet but she is happily passed off to their staff with no problem. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the doctor called us after both visits and fully explained her health and possible upcoming issues that may arise. My girl is getting to be a senior now and she needs someone who knows how to care for her with her challenges. We have found that with Dr. Kusa. We won't be taking our girl anywhere else. I wish they could be open on the weekends though for a little more convenience.

He's great with them, gives me a discount sometimes, the prices are lower than our previous vet, the receptionists and techs are great, he gives me lower cost alternatives for treatment, and even offered to send prescriptions to a Vet closer to us when we moved out of Winnipeg recently.

The receptionist was so friendly and very informative, the hospital was clean. The only thing my husband and I were frustrated with was that the cone was not already on our pup when she got picked up. We could not get it on her at home, we even had our neighbour try to help us but she was so scared of it and would thrash around. We were scared for her to run and jump as that isn't ideal after getting spayed. We wound up having to take her to an emergency vet at 11 p.m. at night, took 3 staff there to get the cone on her. Not sure if that is a typical practice or not, to not send the pup home with the cone already on, but we sure wish that was how she had come home. Besides that, no complaints, and once again the lady working the desk was super nice :)

Highly recommend this vet in Charleswood. Went there for the first time with my dog last week and was impressed from the start to the end. Excellent customer service. It's usually such an ordeal taking my dog in to get her nails trimmed as she hates getting it done. The tech was amazing with her. She normally gets sedated to get her nails done and did not have to. We adopted a cat about a year and a half ago now and the vet was so good with him! He did a thorough assessment and answered all our questions. He even addressed the lump our cat had from getting vaccinated (from the adoption agency). We were very happy with his care and knowledge and were sad to have to leave when we moved. Would highly recommend this vet clinic for your cats at least!

Took my puppy in to get neutered, that went very well with no complications however they cut his nails too short some were bleeding and now my poor puppy is terrified of getting his nails cut I can barely hold his paw. I used to be able to do them myself with no issues. I wish they would have asked beforehand

He seemed so genuine and was very kind. He helped me make the decision and was patient with me while I said my goodbyes. I took my dog to Roblin Animal Hospital for ten years . While my dog was healthy and good they performed the check ups . Today my dog is not thriving, not eating and not walking . When I phoned to ask to see the doctor that I have trust for the last past ten years , the cold response was that they are not an emergency clinic . I further explained that during the weekend I took my dog to the emergency already and that I wanted another opinion since she is still unwell. The response was : I am the manager here and this is how things work. Not empathy , not a quote of caring . It makes me wonder how mistaken I was for ten years.

Dr. Meshack Kusa and Dr Evan Fisk are both always excellent with our pup Duke, Duke is a large breed mix that has NO fear of visiting the veterinarian staff here, and always comes out with a smile and a wag! Dukes recent visit with was excellent as Dr Kusa, is clearly an animal lover, and I am very appreciative of his expertise, knowledge and kindness towards Duke at every visit. Highly recommend and the prices are equal or less then most, for excellent care!

I recently got a puppy and hes been here twice for shots. At the moment they do not allow parents in which is why I am only giving 4 stars I would prefer to be there with my puppy during stressful moments like getting shots but everyone was very professional and the vet contacted me directly to discuss any concerns

Staff is very patient with my high energy dog! He peed on the front desk and they just laughed and cleaned it up, told me not to worry about it even though I felt horrible. I now walk my dog to the vet to drain his energy and they give him water and a treat when he gets there. I brought him in because he'd had an allergic reaction but by the time we got there it had cleared. The vet said I'm not going to charge you full price for a healthy dog and only charged me half the regular fee. In my experience they have accommodated my appointment requests and have always phoned to follow up after vaccinations and surgery to make sure my dogs were ok. My dogs don't run away when we go to the vet, they know which door it is and can't wait to get inside! I have been taking my dogs to this vet for 2 years and I would highly recommend their services!

Dr. Fisk is one of the few old-school vets left in this city. He relies on his years of experience and expertise to examine the symptoms of an illness first, as opposed to ordering expensive and often times invasive tests, as the only means of diagnosis. If tests are required, the communication about cost is clear and upfront and there are no surprises when you pay the bill. In comparison, this clinic is very reasonable in everything from exam fees to prescriptions. I travel across the city to come to this clinic because Dr. Fisk is honest, trustworthy and above all else, he and his wonderful staff are genuinely kind and caring.
