Great Vet's, they set boundaries to pet owners! have a great set up similar to a human clinic. I like how the procedures are done in a separate room; this room has a window. There's a nice clean washroom available if you need to go. My puppy greeted the vets asap. Gave good information plus, the vets are on the same page as me - save money and use the time efficiently.

I am a new customer to this veterinary clinic. I have had dogs all my life and have been to a number of clinics in Manitoba. I must say that I am more than happy with the care and concern for my sick dog. I called about being concerned for her and I got in within a couple of hours of phoning. With Covind19 I was met at the front door and the clinician took my dog in to the Dr. Within 15 minutes I got a phone call from the Vet about my dog and his concerns. We discussed a few things and some tests were performed right away with results. My dog is pretty sick and was prescribed 4 medications, within a couple of days she is feeling much better. I thank everyone at this clinic from the bottom of my heart for their care of my little girl. I will continue going here and have no doubts that my pet will be well looked after. Thank you ????????

The staff was very friendly, very clean looking, well organized. The rooms are large enough for there clientel. Truly i would have liked to know my financial obligations going in or throughout the process as i dont like to be suprised at the end, even some preliminary idea as to potential costs. But there are worse things. The only issue i do have is that communication between PVH and Transcona Veterinary Hospital broke down and my dog is the one that is suffering while i wait for Transcona Veterinary Hospital to respond. I will go to PVH again my little fur baby seemed at ease or at least in the beginning she was.

Dr. Virdi is hands down the best veterinarian I have ever dealt with. He is honest, and blunt, but still so calm. My kitty was at death's door, but somehow managed to treat him and get him back to his family. The assistants are also so friendly. I will always recommend Plessis vet!

Nice spacious reception area. We took our 14 week old Irish Wolfhound there to see about a blister on here nether region that had burst and was bleeding. We were able to see the vet right away. The vet prescibed a seven day course of antibiotics and an inflatable "Kong'" doughnut. Before the afternoon was half over Murphy had chewed a hole in the inflatable bag inside, trying to escape from it. I took the doughnut back to see if I could get an alternate in exchange. The receptionist said I would have to pay for a hard plastic one as Kong will not accept returns of damaged products. Very disappointed with the vet's policy and Kong's manufacturing quality.

We took our puppy in to see Dr. Sav Virdi to get her third Parvo Distemper shot but disliked the interaction towards our puppy. I would think that for a puppy to go into a new place, be placed on a small table and have someone poke, prod, and examine would be a bit uncomfortable; now add on to that a vaccination, eye examination with drops, and a skin scrape. I know I personally would find these things to be a bit traumatic. During our appointment with Dr. Sav, he never once offered our puppy treats, showed her compassion, love, or any reassurance that she was being a good puppy or that she was OK. We were told during examination to hold our puppy, but there was a lack of politeness or respect. We will now look for another vet, who will see our puppy the way that we do; a part of our family. After our experience with this vet, we no longer would recommend them.

We have been going to Plessis Veterinary ever since we picked up our Chihuahua puppy. They are a little out of our way, but so worth it. Even during Covid when we could not go in with him, they were great. The girls would come to get him to be examined while we waited in the vehicle. When he was inside, the doctor would call us and let us know everything that was going on and see if we had any questions or concerns. As new puppy parents, we had tons of questions and he answered all of them. He also let us know what to expect on our next visit ( shots, medicine, etc. ) so we could plan accordingly. Whenever I phone with a concern, they answer all my questions. I highly recommend this Pet Hospital. The staff is great and better yet, my dog likes going there.

This vet nickle n dimes u with unnecessary exams and such. The vet refused to do as I had asked without the complete exam when an exam was done 3 weeks earlier. Then proceeded to talk down to me as if I was an idiot or child. I'm a nurse by trade. I will never set foot into this miserable vet again. The staff however were super great n kept apologizing.

I have been bringing my dog to here for the last 4 years. I have always gotten excellent service and wonderful care for my dog Max! The doctor that I deal with has even helped me out virtually during the pandemic which I really appreciated! However, today I brought my dog in for a vaccination, which I was assured there would be no exam charge for. He had gotten a physical exam with all of his shots Etc in the spring and is due again this spring for another exam with his shots. When I got there, a doctor that I don't normally deal with informed me that he would be performing an exam and charging me $55 on top of the vaccination fee! I explained to him that Max had just gotten an exam in the spring and would be due for another one this upcoming spring 2021. He refused to do the vaccinations without the exam. I really don't think that it's necessary for a healthy dog to have to have that frequent physical examinations! I was specifically told that I would not be charged for a physical exam and brought him in under the pretense of not having to pay for one and then later told that I would have to pay for one!!! What a rip-off and a complete waste of my valuable time! I will not be bringing Max back here! Beware of this "hidden" fee!!!!

We called Plessis vet at 9 am and were able to get our dog in at 11 am who unfortunately had to be euthanized after Dr. Grewal had done xrays and discovered her spleen had burst. She was going downhill fast. Dr Grewal and the staff were very professional and empathetic to our situation and allowed all of our family to be in the room so we could say our goodbyes despite the current pandemic. You can tell they genuinely care about every animal they treat and they were very respectful in the way they handled our suffering girl. Caring and compassionate. They told us to take as much time as we needed. A few days later we received a card in the mail signed by all the staff. I was blown away by their thoughtfulness and empathy. I highly recommend them. Thank you Dr Grewal and staff for making things a little easier on this grieving family in our time of need.

STAY AWAY FROM DR.VIKRAM NARULA At Plessis (Vetainary malpractice need to STOP) I took my 5 month old puppy Judah in his clinic because puppy vomited twice Vikram Narula told me he want to take X-ray so he took puppy inside and within few minutes he told me puppy is death without ask my permission he gave puppy wrong injection and very poorly intubation to my puppy which damage his soft tissue nasal trauma and upper airway trauma caused bleeding from nose and puppy soiled himself.I was sitting inside his office without knowing what is happening behind close door I thought he is just doing X-ray only without my permission and without discussion X-ray report first he started all unnecessary treatment There is a way to communicate to an owner first that intubation need to be done and that it is in the best interest of the pet. He really blew the client communication aspect of this there is no excuse for what he did. He should have done bloodwork and followup, antibiotics and should have talked to me through potential side effects His Negligence result loss of my dog I'm questioning the plan of treatment and poorly performed traumatic intubation caused damage and the premature death of my puppy Also He prescribe an inappropriate course of treatment injection and my dog dies as a result. He is very unprofessional he is guilty of professional misconduct, 1. He was been dishonest of his statements first he told me he seen air on his lung in x Ray than he changed his statement after puppy death from his treatment he said there was a blood on his lung than he added puppy tongue was swollen (IT MEAN HE WAS DOING INTUBATION BLINDLY) These veterinarians should not be practicing and harming other people’s dog and cats clearly these governing bodies can not regulate veterinarians and adequately protect the interest of pet owner at the same. There is a problem in the regulation of veterinary medicine, as many governing bodies are still ‘PROTECTING ‘ the few incompetent veterinarians. This need to change, and client complaints need to be taken seriously.

Our large breed ate a ton of Berber carpet from a cat scratching pad (what turned out to be over a full sandwich bag full!) while we were out of town and the pets were home with our petsitter. We didn't realize that she had eaten it and the first day we were home she was vomiting everything she ate. When we noticed she was trembling, we called our rural vet and they were not accepting after-hours calls for January, but referring to WPG Emergency Vet on Pembina. We didn't like the reviews and wanted to get her in somewhere closer. I saw Plessis Vet on Google and they were still open! From what I had quickly read about animals ingesting rope (similar to the strands of Berber), we were afraid she was going to need major surgery. Dr. Virdi chose a less-invasive approach (and a much less expensive one too) that would stabilize her first. She ended up staying for three nights and we received updates from the Dr. himself on a regular basis. My husband and I were very impressed with how THOROUGH Dr. Virdi was throughout the process. He was very calm and seemed like he actually puts himself in the pet owner's shoes. We are so glad that he did not opt to put her into emergency surgery and that she is still with us. The prices are fair and the genuine service from both doctors was refreshing. We will definitely be back...but hopefully minus an emergency! ;) Thank you Dr. Virdi!

Hygiene is not practiced. Zero allowance for pet owners to watch and observe surgeries and other procedures. On a visit blood from a dog's injury allowed to remain on the floor for more. People and other dog's walked thru it. Blood Borne Pathogen procedures were not followed.

Plessis is just a wonderful vet's office hands down. Earlier this spring my kitten swallowed a piece of rubber, we were quoted over $5000 for treatment at Bridgwater and didn't know what we were going to do. After a suggestion from a friend, we made an appointment at Plessis and I'm so glad we did. The doctor was very straightforward and laid out all of our options. He was excellent with communicating the status of our kitty after the surgery and during the weekend stay he had at the office. The post op instructions once he was able to go home were very clear and we didn't have any issues. The total bill came up to just over $2000, but it was well worth it as they saved my cat's life. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who needs a reputable place to take their pet.

Knowledgable vet who gives honest criticism and tries to offer the best solutions. They take into account not everyone can afford thousands of dollars in treatment and try to help the most they can. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially if your experiencing the loss of a pet. They are clear on instructions for any treatment and should you need more clarification or advice there quick to help you over the phone or in the case of the vets being busy, call you back as soon as they can. I've spoken with 2 of the vets, both of which were very understanding, listened, and were very thorough. It can be a bit of a distance depending on where your located, but if your looking for a good vet who you feel you can be honest with, not be judged, and get fair prices for treatment. I'd definitely reccomend here first!

Definitely one of the better vets we've had to visit. The vet is very good about explaining what he believes is wrong with the animal, what procedures should be done, the course of treatment, and possible outcomes. Plessis is quickly becoming out go to vet.

I had some difficulty getting in to see my regular vet to bring my dog Sadie in for an injury to her torn nail. Understandable most vets are very busy, I called Plessis vet and I was able to get in the following day. I cannot say enough good things about how caring and thorough they were. Dr. Grewal was amazing and took care of her and explained everything he did and she is so much better. I don’t have to wait 2 weeks risking infection and that is a feeling I hopefully never have to face again. I brought Sadie there in January of 2021 when we thought the mass Tumour she had was cancerous. It wasn’t and they contacted pembina vet to book her in asap. I am beyond grateful for what they have done to put my concerns to rest. I strongly and highly recommend Plessis Vet to anyone wanting exceptional service for your pet. Only complaint is that the assistant(?) that went over surgery after we picked him up, seemed incompetent and mumbled through the entire conversation. When my cat developed a fever and stopped eating and my regular vet office was closed that day, I phoned several clinics and Plessis was recommended to me. It was extremely far from my home however I was able to get an appointment within the hour. Dr. B Grewal was very thorough and within a couple of hours had diagnosed an infection and treated it. The diagnostic blood work was also thorough and fully explained to me. He also thankfully gave her an antibiotic shot vs pills which to me was a huge relief as giving cats pills never seems to work out. I called Plessis on a Sunday morning and advised the receptionist that I was not a client there but my senior dog was experiencing a very hurt and infected paw. The staff were able to accommodate an appointment for me and stayed open 30 minutes past closing time on the Sunday to help and ensure my baby received the best care. The doctor was very clear and polite when speaking to me and made sure I understood everything before discharging my dog. While I was talking to the receptionist, she was very open about her negative opinion of this rescue and the woman who ran it, who is a client of this vet and takes her rescue there. I don't even want to give them one star. The staff at the front counter were all very friendly, I have nothing against them. We took our dog in due to diarrhea which turned out to be cholitis. When he was doing the initial exam he asked if we have other pets and we told him we have one other dog. He asked if she was having any similar symptoms and at the time she didn't. Turns out cholitis is contagious. When we called them he denied knowing we have another dog. Then went on to say that WE should have known that it's contagious, because you know, WE are the vets. If your vet is Dr. Sanjiv Bhandari, make sure he writes down every little detail you tell him.

Decent overall experience - terrible customer service when calling in. We have taken our puppy to Plessis Vet since we adopted her through a rescue they are afflicted with. When I had a concern about her spay stiches not disolving and poking through the skin a month after surgery the receptionist was very rude on the phone and kept cutting me off telling me it was normal and not listening to my concerns. This never happen to my other dog during her spay so it wasn't normal to me. I just didn't appreciate the lack of compassion and understanding, they were cold and argumentative that nothing was wrong and trying to get me off the phone. Not a reflection of the entire practice however bad impression.

We thought we would give Plessis Veterinary Hospital a shot. Reviews looked good. Staff was very friendly and with the current situation they were very organized with the flow. Dr. Bikram Grewal was fantastic. He took the time to explain everything to me. Made reccomendations but said let's try this first and see it it works if not then it's not worth spending money which made me feel alot more comfortable leaving my dog there and that they weren't going to try and sell me on something that my dog didn't need. I moved from Texas and didn't have a vet here for my super-healthy 16-year-old miniature dachshund. Duchess suddenly became ill and I stumbled onto Plessis Veterinary Hospital. I called and they got me in the same day, even as a new client, knowing I was a little bit concerned about the way she was behaving. The doctor gave me a thorough explanation, including a plan and the potential there may be a need to make a decision if the better scenario didn't work out properly. I appreciated the honesty. I got home and she immediately started vomiting. I called the Hospital and within minutes the doc was on the phone telling me the scenarios and answering additional questions. He explained what may happen next and what the best actions were. The next day, I made the decision that three days later was going to be the time for Dutch to move on and made the appointment. But the next day, things turned sour at 6:15 and the hospital closes at 7:00. I made a last minute call and they told me I could bring her in. They professionaly and quickly explained everything, made her calm and with clarity ensured me it was the right decision given the check-up they did. Perfect service. Perfect care. Perfect bed-side manner. Perfect empathy. And, perfect professionalism. I couldn't imagine a better experience during such a difficult time. The owners/doctors/staff are above top-notch and the prices are completely reasonable. I, honestly, couldn't imagine having things gone better during such a rapid, unforeseen circumstance. I'd like to thank Every person there who was so kind and responsive. I will forever recommend Plessis Veterinary Hospital to all my friends, family and aquaintances. The vets are very lovely and Dr. Virdi is an especially good educator. I do like how he will reinforce gently that my animals are geriatric and their conditions will not ever be cured but we are managing them. He had said to me twice now with 2 different furkids "every day is a bonus day." And, thankfully, I've had approximately 450 bonus more good quality healthy days with one of them since he said it. One suggestion I would make is for the area where sweethearts to have to go to their final rest be in a private area with a separate entrance and exit and more notice to others in the clinic to be respectful, compassionate and mindful. It is difficult to determine if the sign indicating this is taking place is lit or not. It is very subtle. I find it crushing when the fur parents have to come out of the rooms and pay afterwards immediately while they are clearly bawling or barely holding themselves together xo If there was a way around that, then I would be comfortable bringing my kids there if need be when their time comes to rest ????

I cannot recommended this vet enough. We brought our cat there and it turns out he had bladder stones, they switched his food and then sent us home, turns out he got a blockage so we brought him back and he needed a catheter inserted. After a few days we brought him home and he blocked again, the only option was for him to remain at the hospital with a catheter in for numerous days. This would be an enormous cost normally, but this vet was absolutely amazing, this was a very rare thing to happen for the cat so they only charged us for the medication, catheter and food. There was no charge for keeping him there! I couldn't believe it. The staff and doctors are so friendly and allowed me to book appointments to come visit him multiple times during that period. If you want a caring, AFFORDABLE vet I highly highly recommended this office. You can tell that they are in the business to help people, and are not profit driven.

They were busy but were very organized during Covid. Ran tests on both my dogs in addition to a regular check up. Given heart worm and tick medication and medication for one of my dogs for an ear infection. Was all about $420.00 cheaper than the last vet I attended, who did fewer tests and no ear meds. If you live in or near the Transcona area with pets, you should consider taking them to this place.

I've been to numerous vets in the city and even some just outside of. I would highly highly recommend bringing your cats or dogs here! They are extremely thorough, with such care and passion.
