Dr. Ward really is amazing! She went above and beyond to help my 14 year old step daughter during a storm and power outatge. My step daughter contacted me here in Winnipeg 2 evenings ago, that her 6 year old cat had all of a sudden started to walk into walls and really act weird. Me living 200km away didn't know what to do to help her. I contacted Dr. Ward and she was more then accommodating, she came into the clinic and helped my step daughter through a really hard time. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done and my step daughters cat passed away. Just knowing Dr. Ward was there to try and help and give support meant alot to my step daughters dad and I. We highly recommend Kenora Vet Clinic

My dog managed to get a pretty good cut in between her toes today. Even without an appointment, from the time that I made the initial phone call to when I had her home, it was under 2 hours, sedation and stitches included. They took great care of her, and we have a clear follow up plan in place.

Recently moved to Kenora and was rather nervous about taking my skittish cat to a new vet. That feeling didn't last long - it was a great appointment from start to finish - from the comforting office staff to the vet herself. Dr. Soley was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and provided a full plan to solve concerns with my cat. They even followed up a day later in case I had any other questions. The cost was far less than I thought as well - so that was nice. They also take COVID precautions and confirm that you are fully vaccinated to enter the exam room - a much appreciated feeling of safety for all. :) Thanks again!

5 stars for my dogs! No pushing me to vaccinate beyond City codes. Discounts for multiple visits. And, i can call any time and discuss a problem with the veterian on call without a fee. I wish we had an avian veterinarian, or one that visits, to get my birds checked without a long drive. Many ppl have birds in Kenora so this would be a great touch and a step up. Still 5 stars because i know they will recommend someone for my pets if it's outside of their expertise!

Dr. Ward and her staff took excellent care of our boy during his battle with lymphoma; it was the most challenging experience for my husband and me. They made it all a little easier. Dr. Ward and her team kept communication lines open during his illness, which was so very helpful during such a difficult time. I would highly recommend staying in Kenora to receive care for your pet. They went above and beyond for our boy. We are lucky to have such a highly skilled and educated team in our town.

Found and adopted a stray kitten and brought him in for a check up the next day. The vet didn’t seem to like that I was from out of town and proceeded to turn an already stressful day into a nightmare. The kitten naturally put up a fuss when having his ears cleaned, to which she stated that he was feisty, feral and I’d have to use lots of discipline (he is incredibly doscile). I asked for tips on how to introduce her to my mother’s cat, not knowing much about cats at the time. She shrugged and replied “Just make sure she doesn’t kill it”. On the other hand, the support staff were lovely and incredibly kind.

We were travelling through the Kenora area when a bald eagle flew into our truck- it was still alive so we scooped him up, found the closest vet clinic and rushed him there. The team at Kenora Vet clinic dropped everything to help the poor bird. They contacted the wildlife sanctuary right away and kept us well informed. If I can get an update on the bird I will post it. I was very happy with all who helped us.

This vet office is absolutely wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about them. I called them 1hr before they closed on a Saturday as I was passing through town and they took my poor sick dog in regardless of their full office. Everyone in the office treated my dog with the upmost care while we were there. They were patient and took their time with her and gave her the medication she needed to feel better and the peace of mind I needed to continue on the 30 hour drive home. Thank you all again so much for fitting us in on such short notice!!

Considering that we came in to say goodbye to maxi, I couldn’t ask for anything more to improve the caring and calming atmosphere and staff. The Rainbow Room designated just for these hard times was perfect. I had never experienced that before and had my 12 year old son with me as maxi was his. He had gone back and forth about coming but in the end choose what he knew was going to be hard because he knew maxi needed him. He will never forget those last moments he was able to hold her and say goodbye…and I mean that in the best possible way. Thank you!

I have always been happy with Kenora Veterinary Clinic. All the staff are very professional and the Veterinarians are great at dealing with whatever issues we have came in with. Recently, during covid, things got a bit complicated and Goalie needed some special diagnostic work done. However, travel to Winnipeg was not possible. Dr, Harrison dealt with it through phone and internet to work with a Winnipeg Vet Clinic to get our results. Buddy's ongoing arthritis issues have also been eased a lot through the treatment he has received. It's nice to know that all the staff are very familiar with my dogs and that if a problem arises at any time - all I have to do is phone. Even on a Sunday night emergency call several years ago - we got a prompt and helpful response from a Veterinarian. Dr. Christensen carried on a great practise for many years and it is nice to see Dr. Ward and company carrying on the tradition.

I've lived many places and taken my dogs to many vet clinics but this one has been the worst. The vets are utterly indifferent to the animals, they rarely take the time to let them sniff their hands let alone offer a treat to try and get the dogs comfortable. I now completely understand why so many locals take their pets to the vet in Dryden or even to Winnipeg. As soon as Dr. Christenson found out I would be moving in a few months she stopped wanting to treat my dog at all. I had to beg her repeatedly to let us try a new medication so my dog wouldn't keep getting worse. Then she took weeks to "research" it and get back to me. I asked about an x-ray or acupuncture (or anything) for his bad leg and she told me to just wait until I moved. This was months before I was going to move, not days or even weeks. I highly recommend finding a better option for your pet. The stars I did give the clinic is for the rest of the staff- always courteous and helpful.

I love being able to make requests online and ask questions. The quick response is amazing. I do wish they had an online payment system as sometimes I get other family to pickup prescriptions and I am often online so its easier to pay that way. A little frustrated. Although I understand that if a animal has not been to a vet in a year a prescription cannot be renewed even though I knew it was an ear infection I had to go through smart.vet (recommended by the Kenora Vet ) because they had no appt available it cost me $135 (for the video call and that vet at smart.vet charged 35 to write a prescription) to send to Kenora vet along with a request for a swab.) On top of the $135 it cost me for the swab and the actual prescription (which is fine). In total for an ear infection it was around $200.00. I wish there was a way to just get the prescription without all this (ear infection is clear after 4 days.) Just like often a parent knows exactly what is wrong with their child many of us know exactly what is wrong with our pets (they often are our children).I love my pet and would do anything for him but what about the people who don't have that kind of money? I get everyone has to be paid just wish there was an easier and more cost effective way. I did try other drops and home remedies before having to get the prescription but none of them worked.

Worst Veterinary Clinic I have ever brought one of my fur babies to. Chances of getting a decent Vet per visit is minimal. No surgical Vet Staff! Charge you a ton of money before they tell you they don’t have the resources to help. I’ve lived all over Canada…even the Northwest Territories….I have no idea how they are still in business….pathetic …unorganized…overpriced…money gougers!
