My dog is my life and when not feeling well, I would do all I can for his comfort. I was prepared to pay for surgery and to my surprise, the vet said it wasn't necessary. To me this shows the true character of the hospital. Instead of using my emotions to make money. The vet honestly told me it was an unecessary procedure. I will be forever grateful for the honestly shown to me and my dog.

After a routine yearly checkup turned into a blood exam that ended with a cancer diagnosis for our 11 year-old cat (6-12 months to live), we very sadly accepted Dr.Ng’s finding. When I asked, he also said it wasn’t necessary to give Oscar any further vaccinations, etc that were previously scheduled before the cancer diagnosis. Two weeks later, a receptionist calls and brightly asks if I’d like to schedule an appointment for Oscar’s yearly checkup & feline leukaemia vaccination. Clearly Westbank Animal Care Hospital needs to work on communication and tact. The priority is revenue over client / patient care.

This was my first visit to a vet since arriving in BC. I have an extremely nervous cat that doesn't do well at the vet, and I was unsure how it would go, especially since I wasn't allowed in due to COVID-19 precautions. I don't know how they did it but apparently there was no hissing or growling, and he even let them trim his nails! A small miracle if you ask me. They also recommended against two vaccines my previous vet was giving, saving me money and him the stress of additional needle pokes. Highly recommend! Very happy with my experience.

We almost lost him a few years ago but after a year of care he has been his handsome energetic self for a year. I am beyond impressed with the care and warm welcome we received today at the Westbank Animal Care Hospital. The moment we walked in we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff at the front desk who were so loving and kind to our new puppy. We didn’t wait long at all to get in for our visit with Dr. Robinson. Dr. Robinson was so kind, knowledgeable and made us feel at ease during our puppy’s checkup. She was thorough with her exam, keeping us updated throughout. We left feeling like our puppy was in such great hands and we look forward to the outstanding care we are confident he will continue to receive. We will definitely recommend this clinic to any animal owner! Keep up the great work

I must say I am continually impressed by the staff here from intake to the vets , everyone is fantastic. Recently our dog developed a cough, we called and were told to come right in. When we arrived the vet, Dr Grafton, looked her over and gave her a prescription which cleared up the cough in a week. My dog absolutely adored Dr. Grafton and really responded well to her. I highly recommend them for your pets needs we won't be taking ours anywhere else if we can help it.

I hate the new COVID protocol BUT I understand why it is necessary and I get that it is easier for the staff. So keep doing what you need to do. Very knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices and they can get you in, in a normal timeframe. Some of the other vets on the westside had like month long waits. (Kind of a problem if your dog is in need of medical care.)

We dropped in to pick up food. A relaxed and warm place with folks who clearly care deeply about their patients and their care givers. We met a beautiful Newfoundland dog there and discovered he would bring his two legged side kick here and hang out as it was his favourite place. I made the decision to allow my dog to cross the rainbow bridge and Dr Gratton gave us the most peaceful transition/experience I could have asked for. The whole staff has been amazing. I have been taking my furbabies here for several years now. Staff always helpful and make time for me at very short notice. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our very special girl Kayos two weeks ago. We have taken our four pets to Westbank animal hospital for the last 15 years and were always very happy with the staff and the great care of our babies, I took our dog in for a minor condition in August and was taken back with the way I was treated by the vet assistant, so rude! She showed a bad attitude from the moment she came to collect us from my vehicle, mentioned this to the vet and she said someone would contact me, still waiting?? Have decided to take my four animals elsewhere, after all when you pay for services, you expect to be treated better then this.

Sadly our Oreo was put to rest but they were so caring and comforting for both me and Oreo. And a week later I got a beautiful letter in the mail with a stamp of Oreo's pawprint's, I still tear up thinking how much of a caring touch that was...

Our kitty (10 months) went missing on the weekend and came home this morning injured. After calling around we were guided to Westbank Animal Care Hospital who had us rush to them thankfully (we are from penticton) and from the moment we arrived we received nothing but amazing care towards not only our kitty Nissmo but to myself and my daughter who are both very emotional people. Like in hysterics most of the time we were there. (We love our animals they're family to us) unfortunately our family had to make the decision to put our kitty down as it was the best decision we could make for him. The ladies working today and the doctor were beyond professional and loving. They were in constant communication with us about him and his condition and gave us all the time we needed throughout the entire process (from arrival at the hospital to departure home) these ladies were nothing but true angels in this horrible time for our family. For future needs of our other animals will gladly do the drive to come to such a great welcoming place. Thank you for allowing us to have the time we needed and being the most amazing vets and people we could have chosen today for this extremely unfortunate horrible event.

Incredibly disappointed with Taryn Cass. She completely failed to give my dog a proper examination, resulting in 4 days of severe suffering and potential fatality. She didn't even do the very basics such as heart rate check and feeling the animal over for any abnormalities. Would highly discourage anyone from using her as a vet. Not sure about the other vets in this clinic but I opted to take my dog to Pawsitive vet on Sutherland and was thoroughly impressed by the level of care and affordability of that clinic. They offer both conventional and holistic approach and the Vet (Dr. Moira) there is phenomenal.

First of all the staff is very friendly and most helpful. What impressed me most was Dr. Darcy Rae. He is the most kind and compassionate vet I have ever encountered. He gave me several options to choose from and his opinion , but in the end it was my choice. As a senior I've had many pets over the years, and dealt with many vets but he is by far the best. We had to bring our dog here when she was very sick. Dr Robinson talked us through our options and treated us with compassion from the moment we called to let them know we had arrived for our appointment. We had to make a very difficult decision to let our girl go and all of the staff were just fantastic and compassionate and made it as simple as they could. Had an appt to take our dog in at 8:40 a.m. for a skin tag removal. We were told it was a 5 minute procedure as just local freezing, no anaesthetic and would b done " first thing". Could pick him up in 4 hours. Called after 4 1/2 hours & told they hadn't gotten to him yet. Decided to pick him up and go somewhere else. No apology, just "have a nice day" when I picked him up. Had a voicemail at 7 that night from the vet to say they'd had alot of sick animals that day. REALLY?? U r an animal hospital. No excuse for not receiving a phone call earlier. No one had even taken our 12 year old Havanese out for a pee which was quite obvious when we got him home.

We had two pets who were very old, and had been seeing Dr. Robertson at the Westbank Animal Care Hospital and he is one of the best veterinarians in the 40 years we've had pets. I would highly recommend this clinic if you're looking for compassionate, caring and reasonable veterinarians who are willing to "not" go to extra ordinary measures to keep your pet alive...if it is their time to get and they are very old. Everyone at this Clinic has been extremely supportive and now we're on a new road with a new toddler kitten. We look forward to many more years of exceptional service. Thank you for all that you do!

I currently bring all my animals to these guys. I recently had to make the really hard decision of putting my pup down that iv had for 12 + years. The team there was super supportive and gave me all the time I needed and make it super simple to pay and get the ashes etc. They are very affordable as well which is a huge plus. They are fantastic with all my fur babes and I will continue to use them as my #1 vet. Big thanks for the support when I had to put princess down guys that was the hardest choice I ever made in my life and you guys made it just that much easier on me ♥️

My girlfriend takes her dog there and just recently they did a surgery, did not read his chart to see he was already on medication percribed by them(the clinic), gave him the wrong medication for recovery, than charged her for the "woops" fix it medication to prevent him from getting stomach ulsers, from the mixed medication. *Breathe*

It's an average clinic that I went to for several years. The front desk staff are usually friendly enough, but often judgemental. My pet got hurt and I took him to another clinic because they were too expensive and then they called the SPCA without even phoning to see what I had done with my pet. I won't be going back.
