This Veterinary Hospital is a little out of the way for me, however, this place is 100% worth the drive. Dr. Oz and the entire staff here is amazing and treat my puppy so well. If you care about your animal I recommend going to see the team in Rose Valley.

My fiancé and I have brought our rescue kitten to Dr. Oz and the team at Rose Valley Vet time and time again, and the only thing leaving happier than us both, has been our little cat Chamberlain. Not only was Dr. Oz ready to do absolutely anything (and everything) to give Chamberlain a fighting chance due to his cleft pallet -even go as far as donate his time outside of what we could afford for the potential surgery- but even now he has started to heal on his own we have been shown nothing less than undying love and devotion towards our little guy. I can't see myself ever taking Chamberlain anywhere else, for the rest of his nine loving lives. Dr. Oz and the team at Rose Valley Vet are the unsung heroes of the Okanagan, and I recommend them to everyone. Lots of love. Always.

Words alone cannot convey my gratitude for Dr. Oz, Dr. Noa, and all of their wonderful, kind staff. They saved my best friend. My cat stole a chicken wing, and managed to get himself an intestinal obstruction, nearly dying. We didn't know what was wrong, because this had happened 3-4 weeks prior. These wonderful vets ended up doing a lengthy surgery, and they saved my poor flat cat. I had originally worried he might have kidney disease and that this may be it for him. But I could not imagine losing this special member of our family. Dr. Noa did the most careful delicate incision I could imagine for having done a complete exploratory abdominal surgery. I thought my poor boy was going to need extensive after care. So far, he is bouncing back fairly well and getting better every day. The follow up care is excellent, and these folks are true stewards of our blessed animal companions. I cannot recommend them to you enough. I know if we had gone somewhere else that I would have had to bury my cat this week instead of kiss him. I am so lucky.

We can't thank enough Dr. Oz he saved our dog Fryda from a fermented fruit poison , when we took her there she wasn't looking good at all , he took care of her immediately ,putting all his effort to save her life, she did stay at Dr.oz's clinic overnight , he wasn't even happy in the way she was looking also he wasn't very optimistic , but he did tried so hard to get her going even staying with her at the clinic during the night, next morning he called me early , and say , .. Can you come over as soonest you can I want you to see something, my 1st though was OH NO SHE IS DEAD OR GETTING WORSE!!!! So we drove there and SURPRISE!!!! She was walking !!! He safe my baby's life , I will always recommend to every single person i know to go and see Dr. Oz, him and his staff are the most amazing and kindest persons I met working with pets!!!!

For a truly heartbreaking experience. I am very thankful for Dr Oz and his team! Who were extremely amazing, passionate and caring. I sadly had to put my baby to rest. Dr Oz and his team were very comforting and helped me very much threw the greiving process. Not only when i was there at the clinic. But when i was home, Dr Oz called me to see how we were doing. He made us a clay foot print of our kittys paw prints, and even sent us a card. I have never had to put an animal to rest before and i am very grateful Dr oz was at my side. Dr. Oz and the team here are just incredible people. Our cat needed surgery pegged at $2500 done by our local vet. We had just had a flood and a hot water tank go - seperate incidents. We had heard that Dr. Oz could possibly help. He did. He got our.kitty.in for surgery the next week and really helped us out with the payments. A top notch guy, he genuinely cares about these animals. Like, a lot.

Dr. Oz and his team have been amazing. Our sweet Belle fell urgently ill over a weekend. Our vet at the time was closed over the weekend and I was concerned about the cost of an emergency vet visit. Dr. Oz's team without hesitation immediately got us in, despite us not being a patient of the clinic. Unfortunately, our sweet girl passed away, but I will always be grateful for the kindness that was shown by every individual in the clinic during that time. Dr. Oz is thorough in his diagnosis, and presents all options in a knowledgeable, empathetic and concise manner so that we are then able to make informed decisions regarding the care plan for our fur children. We have permanently made the switch to Dr. Oz and the level of care and attention received has always been consistent with every visit. This is a clinic that genuinely cares.

Great experiences with Dr. Oz, he is very informative, kind and empathetic. I actually had to see the other vet who works here recently too, since my dog had an infection and needed to be seen but Dr. Oz wasn’t in on that day, and she was also really great and went out of her way to make time for my dog even though she had a full schedule. He wasn’t rushed in and out either, she made time for him and gave him the care and attention he needed. My dog is my family and these guys totally seem to get that. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable too, I’ve met at least 10 different staff so far and each of them is equally professional and compassionate. I’m really glad I decided to start taking my dog here. Can’t speak highly enough of them.

We have taken our dogs to Oz for the past couple years along with a few of our friends.,and collectively agreed that Dr oz office will give you low prices on the phone but after the procedure...Surprise he always has things he thinks you might need for your animal that always cost you more. He is also mis diagnosing animals with needing expensive procedures like surgery... my friend brought his dog there and OZ told him both knees needed to have surgery at a cost of 8000$. He took his dog to the Veterinarian hospital the next day and told them about the diagnosis they where surprised to find nothing wrong with the dogs knees but rather the dogs hips are getting old and that there is nothing they can do to rectify the problem (he was an old dog) They gave him some solutions he could do to make the dog more comfortable. Its not just OZ its a few different vets in this town. Make sure you get multiple opinions from a few Vets. Seems some of these vets care more about making money then caring for animals.

I highly recommend Dr. Oz and the team at Rosevalley! Dr. Oz didn’t hesitate to come in on a Sunday for our emergency situation and stayed with my girl overnight so she wouldn’t be anxious before surgery. His compassion and caring for fur-babies is greater than any other vet experience I have had. When we had to put our other dog down earlier this year the entire team there was so kind and helped us through our extremely tough situation. We travel from Rutland all the way to Rosevalley just for them because we know we can trust them to provide the best care for our furry family members.

I had to go here as an emergency and the only reason i went there was because my tenant works there and i knew she would make sure my dog Tymber would be ok. She new right away what was wrong and went into action. Of course they took advantage of a bad situation and quoted me a price but them proceeded to charge me another $122. They also her to stay the night and i said no so then they wanted me to bring her back the next morning for yet a 3rd blood test that i was gonna be charged another $250. Seriously.

The day before Sparkles 8th birthday I noticed she was shaking, lethargic, and did not want to eat or drink anything. I decided to call Rose Valley it was 5:00pm so i expected to have to come in the morning however they said to come over right away. I got there right when Dr. Oz was supposed to be done for the day but he was more than happy to see my girl! He did some tests and found out Sparkles had Crystals in her Urine! He told me she was going to be just fine. He gave me medicine and food and booked her for a check up in a week and told me he would call the next morning to see how she was doing. Dr. Oz called me every single day asking how Sparkles was doing personally he didn’t get someone else to call for him! Sparkles is doing really well now! The vet techs are awesome as well never make you feel bad if your dog pees or poos in the waiting and clean it up for before you have a chance to apologize or clean it yourself. I live in kelowna not west kelowna and don’t drive but its worth the taxi ride!

Imagine receiving a beautiful black lab for Christmas at the young age of 7 and not 6 months later, she gets a strange bump on her neck. Like any other concerned pet owner, we took her to the Rose Valley pet hospital only to be told that she did not have long to live unless they immediately operated on her and removed the mass. Once again, I want you to imagine being told AT THE AGE OF 7 that your new best friend is going to die. We didn’t have thousands of dollars laying around for the surgery, so we had to take our chances and hope for the best. Fast forward a couple months later, we took her again to another vet only to be told that it was not in fact cancer, but just an infected bug bite. Dr. Oz is a money hungry publicity genius. Before you see news headlines like “West Kelowna vet shelters evacuated pets” and “Dr. Oz's team saves litter of puppies near death”, just ask yourself why? The average person doesn’t feel the need to make sure that the news recognizes them for every good deed that they do.

Most incredible vet. I called the clinic on a busy Saturday needing to take my dog in for an emergency. After explaining the situation, they knew he had to be seen. They were incredibly kind and passionate in our extremely painful visit. After saying goodbye to our beloved dog, the staff were sympathetic and loving. Dr oz called a few days later personally to once again offer his condolences and to make sure we were ok and had the support we needed. We recieved a beautiful card signed by the staff. It was very touching. We will be continuing to use Dr.Oz when we are ready to welcome a new animal to our lives.

This is a great Vet office and Dr Oz and Dr Mei are both great. I find them to be very thorough and don't ever feel rushed through the appointment. They're very honest with recommending medicine or medical tests. My dog can't be in a closed room or kennel by herself as she is very scared of confined spaces and the staff take extra care to make sure she goes into the office when the Doctor is ready for her so she isn't in a room by herself and scared. Overall I have always had a great experience, and would highly recommend.

First of all they gave my dog the wrong prescription. then, when my dog needed surgery to clean her teeth, dr oz told me that my dog "would probably die on the table". (she was 13). i took her to my regular vet and the surgery went fine no problems. he told us he wouldn't charge us for his time for that surgery, but the vet we ended up going to was CHEAPER including the vets time!!!! the receptionists were just rude. the vet is just blunt and didn't seem to care about my dog at all. will not be going back here and will never recommend it

Absolutely excellent care and attention. My regular vet was closed and although they were about to close I had an emergency with my 6mo yorkie so they happily waited. My baby was critically ill but Dr Oz cancelled his weekend plans to take care of my little one. In all my years of having yorkies and my vets I havent experienced the compassion and "we matter"like this before. I am forever grateful Dr Oz saved and took such great care of my baby.. My wife and I have had tremendously positive experiences with Dr. Oz and his team. A few weeks ago, they provided every treatment available for our aging cat Ollie after he developed a condition that seemed viral at the time, but turned out to be much more serious in the end. After suffering violent convulsions at home, Ollie was rushed to the clinic, where he had to be put down. Dr. Oz guided us through the few options available to us, as our cat had already gone blind from the seizures and was essentially beyond any meaningful or lasting help. His straightforward reassurance that we were doing the right thing in authorizing putting Ollie to sleep helped us come to terms with such a heart-wrenching decision. The clinic has a small room dedicated for just such occasions, and though tragic, having Ollie die in our arms, peacefully and painlessly, was very comforting. We received his ashes a few days later in a beautiful wooden urn with a brass plaque bearing his name. As fate would have it, Zoe, Ollie's sister, fell ill soon after his death, no doubt made worse from the stress of losing her soulmate. Dr. Oz performed an emergency surgery to repair one of her anal sacs, which had burst. She survived the operation and is now well on her way to recovery. Throughout these awful past weeks, Dr. Oz called us at home to make sure we were holding up in our bereavement for Ollie and his team also checked up on us to make sure everything was coming along fine with Zoe. We're truly grateful to have such a fine and caring vet in Kelowna and have nothing but the highest recommendation for Dr. Oz and his team.

Run while you still can! Dr. Oz says he's not going to charge you for his time but he sure knows to extra charge for all the other stuff so you end up paying way more. You might as well give him your bank card and PIN number. I think he's a better salesman that a vet. My pup had a lump that was growing around her shoulder, decided to get it checked out. Dr.Oz did a biopsy and called us back too quickly(biopsy results usually take a bit to get back). Told us it was cancer so we got surgery to remove it. Once the surgery was done he informed us that the lump was never cancer. My other dog went in for a usual check up on her teeth and we were told she would need just a few teeth pulled. Looked at the surgery record when she got home and he pulled 14 teeth! Very mad about both my experiences here, never again will I go back.

Took my puppy here to get neutered after being quoted 250$ for surgery turned out to be 480$. after surgery we noticed that our pupper had strange razor marks all over his area So we phoned the office and we were told that it's normal to have red marks around the area and it's just a skin sensitivity thing.. two days after the red marks have past we see now that he has trimmer cut scabs from shaving all over his part. Seems highly unprofessional to not know how to operate a trimmer. Then we weren't given any information about how to take care of him post surgery so we had to phone again inorder to get information emailed to us a day later. Over all experience was terrible and stressful, highly recommend to have any procedures done elsewhere.

I have been taking my puppy Willow to Dr. Oz since I got her in November. He has always been so nice and helpful and just amazing with her. Sent me adorable photos of her giving him some kisses due to Covid I cannot come in so I appreciate that. Late last night we had an emergency and she ate a high dose ibuprofen tablet and I took her into emergency at Fairfield Hospital. Dr Oz called me first thing this morning to check on how she was and to let me know he was available if we need to bring her in. I have never had a vet who cares so much to call me himself. I am a first time dog owner and my baby Chase has taught me a lot in the first year of his life. Three weeks ago a freak accident occurred in my backyard that caused my puppy Chase to break his wrist. It happened on a Sunday and I had friends who told me to drive all the way out to Lake Country to the emergency vet...but all I wanted was our family vet. I called Dr. Oz he came in on his ONE day off and did everything he had to do to make Chase feel comfortable while we had to wait a couple of days for the Ortho surgeon. He organized everything, he got the X-rays so fast, and he did everything he could to keep the vet bills as low as possible because well...it was about to be a long journey ahead for us. For the next year Chase will be going through extensive rehab from a terrible wrist fracture and I couldn't have stayed confident and strong through these first 3 weeks without the support of Dr. Oz and his team. He made sure to explain everything throughout that we needed to prepare for, he gave me the space to cry when I needed to push through the hard emotions of seeing my puppy hurting, and he stayed over night to make sure Chase was okay post surgery for no charge! Did I mention he called me almost every day after the accident to check in to make sure Chase was okay?! Dr. Oz cares about his patients more than any other vet I have ever met and his generosity and kindness just radiates when you are around him. I cannot begin to explain how grateful I am for all of his support and understanding through this very emotionally challenging time! He has an AMAZING team who keeps the energy positive even when sometimes the emotions are overwhelming. The front waiting area is always full of joy and laughter no matter what. What an emotional couple of days... We cannot thank Dr Oz and his team at Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital enough for saving our baby Rubble. We took in our cat who was experiencing walking troubles and foggy eyes. The vet said the cat looked fine and wanted to charge us extra for blood work or x-rays before making a diagnosis. Wasn't falling for that scam. Ended up going to another vet who instantly recognized our cats symptoms as diabetes and tested his blood sugar on the spot (which was high) and then put him on treatment plan. Beware this vets tactics. They're more concerned about getting your money than helping your pet.

I will start off by saying I should have called first to make sure they had the right cat food. I'm new to the area, heard many good things about the service & vet so when I was out and about today came here. I asked for a specific renal support cat food as my cat can only have this food. The lady behind the desk went to look for it, came back and and said its not one they carry. Instead of offering a solution or checking to see if they could get it...she excused me out of the way to help someone else. Perhaps she was going to offer that solution...perhaps not. This is just a reminder that I appreciate it when people go the extra mile and that is a company I tend to be loyal to. They are friendly. This is not a bad review, just a reminder.

When we moved here multiple people said “Go to Dr Oz!” The whole staff are friendly and compassionate, and it feels like an authentic family business when you’re there. I have been to six vets over 5 years for various animals in a professional and personal capacity. While many vets are more than adequate, Dr. Oz is next level - the Wayne Gretzky to their bottom six. Nope, not a good experience at all! I am familiar with Vet services as I worked as a Vet Assistant many years ago so I know the procedures and charges involved. We took our 10 year old rescue in to get an assessment for dental work, knowing she would need many teeth removed and a good cleaning. He charged an exuberant amount of money for an exam, blood work and antibiotics but was also pushing other procedures that I knew she didn’t need. After the exam he couldn’t give us a rough estimate of how much the dental procedure would cost (no fixed prices on dental package or on teeth removal) as we are convinced it’s so he can charge as much as he wants. He did say it was going to be very expensive; around $1000 to $1500, on top of the $360 bill for the initial exam. He also refused us services once we called him out for the costs and questioned why he didn’t have set prices for dental as many other animal hospitals have. He told my husband that he wouldn’t be able to make us happy and asked us to take our dog somewhere else! We already had a quote and an appointment booked for our Vet in Vancouver which we drove our dog to just to have a good experience. Our Vet could tell us exactly how much they’re dental package was and how much it was for each tooth to be extracted. They also took money off for the blood work already done!! This man rushed us through the door. He was a salesman and a crook. Always a ton of people in the waiting room and no compassion for your pet. Thankfully we found an amazing Vet in West Kelowna that we are so happy with!

I wish I could give a thousand stars!!! When I moved to Kelowna I initially wanted to take my cats to Rose Valley based on the reviews of Dr Oz. We ended up taking our cat that had a congenital heart condition to Trilake in Winfield only because they do echos there. Biggest mistake I ever made. One year ago I experienced the most traumatic day of my life at Trilake when we had to euthanize our 8 year old Himalayan 3 hours after learning he was in kidney failure. He had been diagnosed stage 2 kidney disease and started on medication and all new food one month before. The doctor told us she was being pulled in multiple directions and stated "I have 4 minutes." We had no time to ask all the questions we wanted to ask, we were told the only humane thing to do was euthanize, and were left traumatized and with absolutely no closure. She didn't let us know when she was actually doing the euthanasia; everything about that day was horrific. She took him from my arms and when I saw her removing the IV I asked what she was doing then saw him and asked if he was sleeping only to be told "no, he's gone." I fell to the ground, it was honestly the worst moment of my life. Being busy is no excuse and that is an experience that should have been handled with care and grace. I sent a novel long email about our experience and the Veterinarian never even reached out. There was a kind and empathetic manager there that did reach out to me, but of course only the Veterinarian would be able to answer the questions I needed to ask. It would have been so simple for her to call when she wasn't busy and given me the time to ask questions and get the closure that I needed. I would give anything to have that day back and take our precious baby to Dr Oz instead. After hearing about my friend's experience saying goodbye to her baby with Dr Oz, I knew I needed to talk to him. She told me he was so kind and caring, and lit candles, and called the next day to make sure she knew she'd made the right decision and that she was okay. It took me a year of crying endlessly and not being able to properly grieve before I finally mustered up the courage to call Rose Valley. I said I'd pay anything to make an appointment just to talk about what happened. Dr Oz called me back himself right away, had me send over all the labs and medical history, and answered every single question I had with compassion and empathy. He told me we did make the right decision and fully explained why. I finally have the closure I needed. He didn't charge me a cent and told me I could call him again anytime. Words can not express the gratitude for the kindness and compassion and the gift of closure Dr Oz gave me and my family. I will be taking all of my pets to him in the future, and will tell everyone I know to do the same. He is truly special and cares in a way I have never experienced. A truly exceptional human. ❤️

Dr. Oz and his Staff are the most amazing people that care about your pets. I adopted a little female Chihuahua cross named Tia from a elderly lady that could not take care her anymore due to health issues . Took the little Chihuahua for a check up at different vet clinic in town and found out that she had some dental issues. A couple of teeth were bad and had to be removed. I was so shocked at the quote they gave me to have two teeth removed, it was close to a thousand dollars. Double what I thought it would be. So I had to get a second option. I asked my friend, who works at the SPCA, if they knew of a honest Vet that I could trust and she referred me to Dr. Oz. I meet with Dr. Oz, off the bat he donated his time for consultation/exam to review my case. I showed him the quote and he helped me out on the bill by not charging me for his time. Additionally, skipping out on his lunchtime to do the dental work, on his own time. In the end, he told me that he removed nine teeth that were bad. I'm so thankful I met a Veterinarian that loves animal so much. Plus, I read in the newspaper that during the Smith Creek fire in West Kelowna, he rented the empty shop next to his practice to house the evacuated cats and dog at his own expense. Truly an amazing Doctor that cares.

Dr. Oz is an amazing vet due to his passion for both the animals' and owners' well being. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend the Rose Valley vet team for your pet's needs. We have been taking our dog there mainly for vaccinations, until this year. We have had two incidents this year, one cut leg and more recently pancreatitis. For both of these, Dr. Oz went above and beyond the call of duty. His explanations are very clear, thorough, and detailed. He takes the time to answer any questions that you may have, and he is amazing at reassuring the owners that all will be fine. He makes himself available via cell phone 24/7 for all emergencies and concerns with the recovery. A nice added touch is that he takes the time to make follow up/check - in phone calls. He called us 1-2 times a day to check in on our dog (and us) as he was recovering and healing from his injury and illness. Finally, our dog is very comfortable going to this clinic as you feel the warmth the moment you enter from the genuine kind reception to the loving care for your pet. Thank you Dr. Oz and team for getting us all back to our regular routine and good health!

After months and months of working with another Kelowna vet clinic on a diagnosis regarding my dogs health and getting no answers I decided to get a second opinion with Dr. Oz. I was able to get in to see him in a timely manner and by the end of his first appointment we not only had a full game plan in place but an appointment to a specialist. After that first appointment it was clear that Dr. Oz and his team are highly professional and care deeply for every single pet they welcome in the clinic! Sadly our dogs diagnosis was terminal with not much time left. Very friendly and compassionate staff. We had an issue with our male cat having a urinary blockage and initially we took him to a different vet, after receiving treatment for him (2 days hospitalized) he immediately reblocked and they told us our only options were another 4k surgery or humane euthanasia. We wanted second opinions so we called Rose Valley and they told us about a laser treatment they offer to help with inflamation and healing that the other clinic didnt even seem to know anything about. The Team at Rose Valley made us feel like long times clients even though this was our first experience with them. They are very understanding of peoples budgets and dont push for the most expensive options off the bat and help where they can with cost.I am so glad we called them, without their help I believe my cat would have not pulled through. I'm very pleased with Rose Valley and will continue to be a client with all other pets going forward.

Dr.Oz is an amazing doctor and humanitarian! We recently adopted a 2 year old cat from the SPCA and found out in the first week that he had a broken canine tooth that would most probably infect and cause a host of health problems for him. Options were extraction (50% of the time they break the jaw and many veterinarians will not attempt for this reason) at $1000+ or a root canal at $1700+. We were heartbroken, as Mac had already captured our hearts and if returned to the SPCA would probably have to be euthanized due to cost to make him adoptable. Because we were willing to help Mac, Dr. Oz found a way to help us out and did the extraction on his own time (due to his exceptional skill and some luck, the jaw remained intact) on a Friday night, staying the majority of the night to ensure his recovery. He even checked in with us on the Sunday to ensure Mac's recovery was on track. Above and beyond! Thank you to Dr. Oz and the Rose Valley team for ensuring our Mac would be with us for hopefully a long time to come. If you want a vet team with skill and caring....there is no other. We travelled 3 hours each way to see Dr.Oz and would travel double that to have him care for our animals in the future!

I've heard and experienced nothing but extraordinary service from this veterinary clinic. My most notable experience is when mine and my girlfriends dog Snuffy was attacked at the Rutland dog park. He got bit within millimeters below and beside his eye ball and was bleeding a fair amount. I called 6 other places that were close to me since I panicked and wanted him to get the most immediate attention as soon as possible in Rutland. Every single place was booked and one was willing to take me in as an emergency for a little over $200 before any prescriptions or anything of that sort. Since I was unemployed at the time I wanted to find the most affordable place for me. I called rose valley veterinary hospital which I should have done in the first place right away. After explaining to them the stressful situation and my financial situation they were able to squeeze me in, with no emergency fee. When I arrived they were clearly busy too. He got enough painkillers and antibiotics (3 prescriptions in total) i believe a shot of antibiotics or painkiller and the exam for less then $140. The staff and the vet were extremely friendly helpful and caring it nearly brought a tear to my eye in this stressful situation. As much as anyone hates driving over that bridge between West Kelowna and Kelowna. I can honestly say I see it as 100% worth it and will take all my veterinary needs there for as long as I live in Kelowna and will and have already recommended it to as many people as I can when a veterinary discussion comes up. Thank you so much to Dr.Oz and all his staff for helping in this certain situation and thank you to all the rest for every other time me and Snuffy come there. I love you guys!

I went to get my cat shaved about a year ago and was not told of any other options to have shave him other than putting him under, which is their only option for shaving cats even though he had full knowledge of real cat groomers in town that are a third of the price and doesnt risk your pets life. Haven’t been there in a while but when I had to bring my mom’s cats in they were absolutely amazing. Dr. Oz is one of the greats for sure. Willing to work out payment options for those unexpected ailments. He will also come in at any time at the drop of a hat if there is an emergency. He once offered to come in the middle of the night for my mom’s cat when he had his bladder infection. I remember calling them at 10pm and getting a call back from him damn near immediately and he triaged Jack over the phone. Rose valley veterinary should be ashamed they pray on people's emotions and charge an arm and a leg for simple procedures. Dr Oz can't give a straight answer to how much any procedure might be all he says is depends on this depends on that I got quoted $4,000 for a tplo surgery and it came out to $5,500 that's extra $1,500 that I didn't have and I had to borrow the $1,500. Dr Oz charge me $550 for a simple neuter of 150 lb dog and Rutland pet hospital only charged me $230 for a neuter of my other dog that is 130 lb why is there such a price difference it's a simple neuter. Before you proceed with Rose valley veterinary I recommend you check other places first

New to the area, from out of province and I’m so thankful to have found Dr. Oz❣️ He checked out one of our 2 cats and diagnosed an unrelated problem that our previous vet over looked. So after gland extraction, urine and blood testing, antibiotics, pain killers, mouth wash and 2 cases of specialized canned food, I walked out with a $580 bill which was way less than I expected. I would have paid a lot more back in Manitoba. So we’ll be back there in a week or two once the infection is cleared to get a tooth taken care of. More and more Veterinarian practices are withdrawing their after hours care and leaving Fairfield in Kelowna the only available vet service open after hours. Sadly, It is another example of having a monopoly on the market. Eager young vets interested in a well paying job/occupation not a calling are opening and being hired everywhere. We have seen the same thing happen in the Medical profession and we know how that has turned out. Rose Valley informed me they were no longer available for after hours care and - you guessed it - I would need to use Fairfield. The ONLY after hours vet in the Southern and Central Okanagan. The same vets that left a puppy with poisoning symptoms, outside with no admission for over 45 minutes. But that's another story.

I went to Rose Valley on the recommenation of people in my neighbourhood. My cat needed to see a vet before we moved out of the country in order to fill out a government health form. I arrived for my scheduled appointment and they took my cat and called me in a couple minutes later. I haven't met many animals that like going to the vet, and mine is no exception. She was in her carrier terrified, and the vet told me that it was "difficult" to examine her because she was mad. Ok fine. As we move on to the form is when the experience turned very sour. He looked at the form and convinced me that he cannot fill it out, despite the people aiding in my kitty's move telling me that it is fine (as well as instructions from the Ministry of Animals in the country we are going to telling me this as well). Dr. Oz told me that he has apparently never filled out a form without being the vet who administers the vaccines (even though the form has to be done 10 days prior to departure, and a lot of people may be unable to see their regular vet during this interval when moving abroad). He told me to contact the company moving her and come back if I needed. I contacted and sure enough, I was told that yes, he can and must fill out the form (and yet, he told me that he absolutely could not). I called and made another appointment for the form and was reassured that I would not have to pay any more fees as I had already paid the day prior when I initially brought her in for the form. I arrive. Dr. Oz does not even come to speak to me. The forms are taken, returned and signed, and yet I was forced to pay yet again. I am under the impression that he asked me to return because there was nothing wrong with my cat, and therefore could not profit off of any medications or extra treatment, so he wanted more $ for the form. I was disappointed with my interaction with Dr. Oz, and after I left for the second time I felt played, especially since I was reassured I wouldn't have to pay any more money. I won't be recommending this hospital to anyone. After reading reviews, it seems like he only enjoys taking care of patients who require their owners to dish out a large sum of money.

Loves to over-prescribe. Huge money grabber, suggested a surgery for a small cut on my dogs ankle. I thought that sounded weird so we declined. It heeled within a week and a half on its own. They constantly call you just fishing for something to get you to come in. Would not recommend.

He's performed two surgeries - one amputation for my cat, and a tooth removal for my dog. Money isn't the driving force like it is for most vets, Dr. Oz really does want your pet to get better as fast as possible because he hates seeing animals in distress just like you and I. My chihuahua wasn’t acting like himself, I figured it was just his arthritis and back problems due to his old age. Made an appointment to try laser therapy here as I had heard good things, Dr Oz discovered he actually had a UTI and a broken claw. So thankful I took him here, Dr Oz and his team really go above and beyond to make sure we are both taken care of. I regularly take my dog for laser therapy and it has made such an amazing difference, he runs around like a puppy now and doesn’t seem to be in any sort of pain at all anymore. My son owns an exotic rat and it seems that in kelowna there are very few vets that will assist your domestic pet. On the 29 of Dec my son's pet had a tumor removed and she was doing fine so we thought. When my son went to give her the final dose of meds he noticed she had removed her stitches. Having this happen on New Years Day it was going to be impossible to find a vets office open and someone that will work on exotic animals. After calling around he found a fantastic Dr who put his personal plans aside to meet my son at the clinic. I have had my animals into see both vets and the love they displayed is tops. They both went out of their way to answer questions, provide all options, and made themselves available at all hours. We brought our beloved Jacob too doctor oz after being bit on the head by a dirty dog. Jacob developed a life threatening infection. Dr. Oz drop all plans and stayed with Jacob (our baby as he calls him) over night at his office. It has now been 2 weeks and our baby is 100% himself again. And did I'd I mention that all of this took place in the early hours of new years day 2019. Thank you too everyone who help save Jacob's life. You are all amazing people. I was visiting West Kelowna from Vancouver over the holidays. While frolicking in the snow, my hairy pooch encountered some nasty burrs. She was absolutely covered with them!!! I tried removing them myself, I accidentally nipped her tail causing more trouble! My daughter in law suggested Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital. Although the clinic was closed, since this was a Sunday afternoon, we decided to call anyway and to my surprise Dr. Oz answered and agreed to meet us right away!!! I was completely blown away with his thoughtfulness! Not surprisingly, my "Piper" was sedated and all burrs removed. He did a fantastic job and kept telling me she wouldn't be quite as beautiful when he was finished! I would highly recommend this hospital and especially Dr. Oz. I can not express enough what an amazing experience we had with this vet. After being turned down by our regular vet for an emergency visit on a Saturday afternoon and being told we would have to wait until the following Wednesday, I called frantically around the Okanagan Valley. Rose Valley Vet told us to get there as quickly as possible and of course they would see us. They were so kind and caring and expressed such an interest in making sure that we received the best care for our sweet little cat, Dallas. I cannot imagine what we would have done other wise. Dr. Oz was so kind and understanding. I would highly suggest this vet to anyone who is looking for somewhere to take their animal. They followed up with us to ensure everything was going well after a small surgery and our cat is now back in good health! Can't even see the scar. Dr. Oz and his staff are the very best. They are kind, caring, and compassionate. Dr. Oz believes in helping the community and has done a lot of extras at no charge. During the fires in the Okanagan in 2003 and 2010 he took in people's pets when they had no where else to go. He did the same during the Elephant Hill fires. He also does a lot of work for the SPCA. When we had to put our old dog down I was so upset with grief Dr. Oz himself called me a few days later to make sure I was Ok. I highly recommend Dr. Oz and Rose Valley Veterinarian Hospital.

Our cat Finely was attacked by a dog. He had some large wounds on his back and was missing part of his tail. His little girl was devastated to see her friend so badly injured. We took him to Rose Valley where he was given surgery to close his wounds and remove as much of his tail as needed. After a month of isolation in the laundry room, a few more visits to Rose Valley for laser treatments, and 1 re-stitching; he is now more or less fully recovered. Thank you Rose valley for giving this little girl her friend back!

A love of animals is evident and appreciated! One of our dogs suddenly fell ill and we did not know what was wrong. Dr. Oz and the clinic helped out by getting us in to look at our dog immediately (even after another clinic that was closer to us turned us away). Very disappointed on how the services declined over the 3 times we attended/called this office. Originally we were very impressed with the dedicated and personal service from the vet. We weren't comfortable not being able to go in with our dog (as most other vets are allowing this now), but waited for our phone call once the exam was over. We are new to the OK Valley and could not get into a vet in Penticton, so we were happy they were able to accommodate so quickly. The phone call advised what was needed, we left with medication and would return in 2 weeks for a check. We decided to get both of our dogs' vaccines done on the next visit giving we were driving all that way anyway, and they asked if we could send the previous vaccine records to know what they needed, which I emailed when we got home. We received a follow up call from the Dr a few days later to make sure all was well, which was a very nice touch! When we returned 2 weeks later, and waited for our phone call from the parking lot, the Dr asked if I knew our one dog had an infection? We said yes, thats why were back, for you to check on it... seemed odd to us, but we waited for instructions to pick them up, and were prescribed all of the same medications over again at an additional expense. I said we didn't need them all as there was still lots of most of them leftover, and just purchased the pills needed for another 2 weeks. When reviewing the vaccine records, they gave them both some that weren't due and missed the rabies that was due for our one dog. When I called about the visit, they explained that the Dr does not always review each previous record for the dogs or do the exam himself but rather a qualified assistant does and therefore would not have necessarily have known that she was in 2 weeks earlier. As for the vaccines, they hadn't reviewed the email, and oh yes, I see that now... We discussed flea/tick medication options which was also omitted from the original appt and they offered options, which they said I could choose from on the next visit in 2 weeks for a checkup. They also offered to provide the rabies vaccine free due to the error. They advised I should call if I have any further questions or when I was ready for the flea/tick medication. We decided not to return given the distance and the fact we were now skeptical of the service. When I did call 2 weeks later to ask them to send the prescription record for flea/tick, they indicated a local vet had already requested all the records (I had only just booked an appt) and I would have to go there and repay for an office visit to get the medication. I was not impressed as no one verified that I asked for records to be sent and when I left a message for the Office Manager (who told me to call her directly if I had any other concerns) she never bothered to return my call at all. It's disappointing how the service declined as originally we were so impressed, but really does feel like a conveyor belt, where they go above and beyond to begin and then they couldn't care less once they have you paying.

Last time you operated and removed one of my toe nails because I played too hard on the rocks at the dog beach and split my nail to the top of my paw. It really hurt and I was limping. Ive tried other vet clinics in the past and have been seeing Dr.Oz for over 10 years. I would never trust my pet with any other veterinarian. Our puppy had to get emergency surgery yesterday and Dr.Oz HIMSELF stayed the night at the clinic to keep an eye on our 12 week old puppy. This clinic is absolutely wonderful! The staff are caring and compassionate. Before I picked up my puppy, I went to different Vet clinics in the area to meet the Vets and see the clinic and staff. Dr Oz blew me away with his love for the animals and for his job. He had me sold. This was the best decision I could have made. Even though my puppy is only 6 months old, we have unfortunately required quite a few vet visits. My puppy was bit by another dog at a dog park in town. Dr Oz stayed late on New Years Eve to stitch up my puppy. We are forever grateful for his kind compassionate heart. He took great care mending my puppy and has given many follow up visits after both of his surgeries, free of charge, to ensure my puppy is recovering well. He has made it very clear that we can contact him at any point if we have any questions. He is always on call. I couldn't ask for a greater Vet. Not to mention my puppy absolutely loves him! :)

As we all know, pets can be expensive, so much more when you don't have pet insurance. Unexpected things happen to the healthiest of dogs, and can happen at the worst of times (when all other things in life happen). But we just try to do our best. I don't know about you, but my dog is part of my family, part of my pack. I felt absolutely horrible when we found out her diagnosis and having to see a specialist is definitely not something I financially prepared myself for (horrible I know). Dr. Oz has gone out of his way, even with how insanely busy they keep, to continuously check in and see how our girl is doing. He has been nothing but kind and gentle towards our family and our situation and has helped in multiple ways. I felt no judgment from him as I sobbed on the phone to him about our situation. WORST experience we ever had .The dr wanted to open up my dog as he said my dog had something in her stomach .After a $1,000 spent on tests etc we decided to ask for our file and go to another vet But it was almost a fight as he did not want to give our file and we said we would call the police and after that we got the file and we left .The animal clinic in westbank shot some water in behind our dogs neck as they said our dog was dehydrated and said that's all he could do for us as our dog should be better in am and she was .And that charge was only $80.00 stay away from rose valley .Just after your hard earned coin

We had to take one if our cats in on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. We were treated kindly and given medication for a bladder infection. A week later we were back for a follow-up to make sure the antibiotics had worked and there was nothing else going on. We were seen quickly and given test results on the spot. Staff were very busy but maintained a pleasant, friendly and professional manner. We'll definitely be switching to Rose Valley for future visits.
