Both the vet and receptionist tried to sell us products. Recommended only dog food that was available for purchase at the vets without taking into consideration raised concerns about chicken allergy in our puppy. Zero, if you had the household's perspective. In September we took the dog into Panorama to have a lesion removed from his lower right eyelid. ($800+) The biopsy came back maligmant melanoma. A quick Google search will find that a dog diagnosed with malignant melanoma has a 4 to 6 month lifespan. We're at 7 months. The dog started losing weight, becoming lethargic and throwing up bile and blood. I don't have a lot of experience of cancer in dogs; however, I have spent 10 years working for a paliative doctor. To me it was clear. He was a dying dog - a victim of cancer. So we took the guy into see Panorama, and they suggest bloodwork ($340) which we paid for, an ultrasound ($350) drugs ($140) which we paid for, and even intravenous treatment. He's a dog who's been diagnosed with malignant melanoma! We pick up the suggested drugs at a cost of $140 for an antibiotic and an antinauseant. This was a dog who couldn't drink water, and if he did, would throw up blood within 20 minutes later. They also prescribed the antibiotic Doxycycline. With my experience in the field Doxy costs about, $12 including dispensing fee. In fact, if you think you may have contracted Chlaymidia or other STDS it is free. So Monday would have been the humane day to put the dog down, they sell the drugs, an ultrasound ($350+) and intravenous ($$$?). This dog has been already diagnosed with cancer! By Thursday this poor guy had lost 2kg since Monday. We, of limited resources, could not put him down on Good Friday due to the exagerated price being it was a stat. We had to let this guy wait until Saturday morning to put him to peace (it should have, with the history, happened on Monday) On Saturday, which was more than a humane day (it humanely would have been done on Monday, due to Panorama's perceived greed to me, and as that prescriptions were useless, like water snake oil, selling hope, we returned them. Keep in mind, we spent $140 on the drugs. They refunded us just under $40. I don't know what their excuse was for the other drugs, but I know that the $12 refunded to us for Doxy was pretty much what it should have been. They refunded us $17 for the antinauseants. We paid $140 and got $29 back. They also charged us $3.91 for a "recovery" dog food. We returned the dog food. They charged us $3.91 twice! They gave me $4.11 with tax as a refund. This invoice incuded the euthanization...I mean, who's going to be in an emotional place to question it? To the woman standing at the counter as we were about to put the dog down asking to have your dog's records changed from Dr. Oz to Panorama, think twice. We're crossing the bridge from now on, because at least Dr. Oz has a conscience. One lacking at Panorama.

I needed Vet help with my horse. I was informed that PVS was coming out to our area so I contacted them. Immediate arrangements were made in addition they arranged to have their portable ultrasound equipment available. The Vet and his assistant arrived early and were very proficient. We buy all our pet food here and do our routine check ups for both our pups. They provide a hypo-allergenic brand of food that works wonders with our Golden who is sensitive to everything. And, the staff are always so friendly and care so much about the well-being of our dogs.

We were first recommended by our neighbourhood vet for their holistic expertise.The office is warm and welcoming, the team there is friendly and helpful, and Dr. Wales was attentive to my dog's needs and my questions. I now schedule regular chiro appts for my dog even though the drive to Lake Country is over an hour from my house. (It is easy to find and there is lots of parking.) Dr. Alex Wales has been my equine vet for more then 20 years. At times at coaches urging I've tried other vets in town - but have never been as happy as I have been with Dr. Wales. And some vets in town I wouldn't let them give water to my horse if she was dying of thirst. Dr. Wales has always been fair with his charges - and on many times has given me the cheaper option or the more costly option to choose from. He has always been prompt and immediate with calls back, even if I had to call him on a horse that wasn't his customer. My only concern with Dr. Wales is that.... one day he may choose to retire and then those of us that depend on him will be in a very tough situation

I had to put my little boy down. He was getting very old and struggling. After a few people had recommended Panorama, I took him there for a check up and eventually for his end. The ladies at this office are amazing. So much compassion and professionalism. My little boy was never alone. They made sure of that. A few years ago, our pup was off her food and water, shaking with discomfort and having trouble raising her head. New to the area, I called a vet nearby but was told they were too busy to see her that day, could I bring her in the next day? To me, when a dog is not eating or drinking, it should be assessed right away. I called another vet and driving there I found the old location for Panorama. I was a walk- in but Susan saw us right away. She did a chiro manipulation and gave us a sample of pain medication so I didn't have to buy any. Only charged me for the check up. We haven't needed anymore medical help but I still go in when I need to buy my dog food and get my pup's nails clipped. Bonnie - reception is great too! H. Burgess

Go to this office if you don't mind spending more money than needed. Their policy is to charge an exam fee more than once even if it's just to come back for a look at the original problem and that is just wrong in my books. Rip OFF! There are many offices that do not agree with that. Shop around. Nothing that is done there is any different or special than anywhere else and I have never paid so much. Will never return.

OK Small Dog Rescue

Panorama Vet has been our primary vet service for many years. We can not say enough about their caring and attention they give to our dogs. Appointments are booked in a very timely fashion, when a dog is in stress it is seen immediately, surgery is also booked according to the urgency required. From the time we take a dog in the door until it leaves the dog and our volunteers are treated with utmost respect and kindness. It is wonderful to have staff that work so well together, a phone call gives updates quickly. Alex and Susan have years of experience, Jess is amazing with her new knowledge. They are a very well rounded, balanced team. We are very happy to have them on "our team". As a non profit society we are always concerned with cost another good reason we like Panorama. I recently saw Dr. Jessica Wales for treatment on my two dogs. She was did a wonderful job of getting them in quickly, assessing and then providing treatment for numerous porcupine quill removal and a medication change for a long standing skin condition. My dog was sent to Panorama in an emergency situation. I have had dogs and horses all my life. Never have I had such amazing treatment for both the dog and family. We were kept informed almost hourly. We knew exactly what was happening, what treatments were being done and what we could expect in the future. I was happy with the costs as it was lower than my previous vet. Long after the dog was well I was still receiving e-mails and texts checking on our dog's progress. All in all, Dr. Jessica is best and most caring vet I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I would never go to a different vet again.

This was very difficult for us and we were treated with respect and dignity. We did not feel pressured or hurried in any way. I felt that their pricing was very fair and reasonable... Panorama has been our vet since we moved to BC in 2003. I first met Alex when a colt was seriously injured … Alex worked with me and taught me how to tend to the colt’s injuries and he made a full recovery. Susan worked with me with my Labradors which I bred at the time … I recall a night that my Lab was having a difficult delivery, Susan and I sat up with her past midnight until she was resting comfortably with her pups. We now have Jessica as our vet and she is as amazing as her parents. The entire staff at Panorama is very compassionate, go out of their way to see to your pets’ needs and comforts. I feel comfortable calling them with any questions or concerns and they always take the time to help out. They have seen us through all of our horses / livestock routine medical issues and emergencies as well as our pets regular vet visits and emergencies. They have been a great comfort and help when the dreaded day of saying good-bye to your beloved pets come about. Our family suffered a total loss house fire in which we lost 4 of our pets and caused smoke inhalation to one of our dogs. We lost power to our kennels, coops, barn, watering systems, and heaters all right at Christmas time. The owners of Panorama were there to offer whatever help they could, volunteering to haul our horses and pets to their facility to care for them if needed, provided a free check up and follow up on our dog as well as donated medications and other much needed merchandise/funds to help us through. I recommend Panorama to everyone who needs any type of veterinary care, in my opinion you will never find a better group of individuals who truly care for your pets.

Panorama has always been amazing when it comes to our dogs. Unfortunately we had to euthanize our 10 year old dog Pacha back in January. Dr. Treen was amazing through out the process, from discovering abnormalities in his blood work, to getting him the next business day for additional testing on a Saturday and being honest and straight forward with what we were facing with him, all the while being kind and sympathetic. They treated us so well and we are able to give him the gentle good-bye we wanted. I recommend Panorama Vet to anybody who is looking for quality care for their animals.

Our pets have been treated at PVS for many years now. They genuinely care and take the time to ask questions to help determine the problem, explain what the problem is, how they will be treating that problem and what we need to do. There was no hesitation when we asked them come to our house to attend to our dog when we weren't able to get him to the clinic. We have been in the clinic multiple times for issues as small as Boxer eye to larger ones that included surgeries. The staff have all been compassionate and even allowed our young daughter to administer the eye drops and sent her home with a few items for her aspiring vet kit. Our dog also gets excited to go in so I know she was treated well during her longer stays. We have had to make emergency trips in and use alternate vets and everyone has been fantastic. I highly recommend this clinic. We have always been given honest advice and have a healthy and happy senior boxer.
