Love this team. I've had some bad experiences with vets within big cities. It was nice to have a great one. Despite COVID procedures making me a little uncomfortable not being able to be with my pet during the exam, the call we had with the doctor left me feeling assured I wasn't being exploited for unnecessary procedures. We walked through my cat's history and health. The doctor expressed concern with some things and we reasoned through them together. Everyone involved were very friendly and easy to talk to. No complaints from my cat either, who was relieved he didn't need a carrier to be taken in.

I have been a Client of Peterborough West Animal Hospital for almost 8 years. Dr. Sergent, Dr. Giffen and staff are knowledgeable, approachable, understanding and empathetic. They will educate you on any issues with your pet and explain all options without ever trying to talk you into something you are not comfortable with or cannot afford. I have recommended them many times and will continue to do so!

The staff here are incredible. They are friendly, kind, knowledgeable and full of empathy/love for animals. I have never spent more time with a vet in all my years as they give you at this establishment. They take the time to explain everything in detail and have impressed me with their broad knowledge and expertise. This is my forever vet clinic. Clean, friendly and accommodating. I find this clinic to be a bit more pricey than some others in Peterborough, however I know my pooch is in good hands so I grin and bear it. I love that they have the dog park attached so I can let the pup run and sniff before and after his vet visit. I just recently found out there's a live stream on their website of the dog park, which is kind of neat. Last time we were there pup was gifted a cute fancy dog cookie.

I’m so happy I decided to bring my cat for a check up to Peterborough West Animal Hospital. I wasn’t sure where to take her at first but I live close to PWAH so I decided to look at the reviews online and that’s what ultimately helped me make my decision. The staff are very friendly and informative and care about your pets wellbeing. I was really nervous bringing my cat the first time because I wasn’t sure how she would react and I felt bad that I couldn’t be inside with her for her appointment. ( Totally understandable because of COVID). Before I knew it Dr. Richardson was calling me to let me know how it went and she had nothing but good things to say! She didn’t rush through the conversation and gave a few compliments regarding my pets behaviour and appearance which was really nice to hear. They called the following day to check in and see how my pet was doing which I appreciated. I have had a great experience so far and would recommend them to anyone :)

This is the best vet in town, after struggling with a rescue with many issues and many trail and error attempts at a different vet spending a full year going to the vet once a month to find solutions and going nowhere. Peterborough West solved the multitudes of problems within the first visit . We have had three dogs with them and they treat them in a way that meets all of their unique needs. The staff are absolutely amazing and share a love for my fur babies.

Very nice staff and doctor...they are Helpful, love animals and not pushy on medications or anything you may not be able to afford at the time... they just want to help and it is a very comfortable setting... I have a rottweiler named luella and we have always had issues getting her into an animal hospital and she walked right in... no issues... Dr. Purvis is the best vet we’ve ever seen! Our cat is very ill and other vets tried to force us into expensive testing and other remedies that didn’t seem to even be related to what we were dealing with. We switched to PWAH and saw Dr.Purvis and it was like night and day. She genuinely cares and wants to see your pet healthy and happy. She understood our financial limitations and offered testing she thought could get us answers without breaking the bank. She’s been wonderful. The rest of the staff we’ve met have been very nice and helpful as well. Highly recommended!!!

I was here tonight and a woman showed up woth an 8 month old German shepherd..she immediately left the park saying quote" i don't trust my dog." She sat in the parking lot for some time then came back in to the lark with her husband (sje waited for him to show up) When they brought their dog back in the park she (Stella) immediately started jumping at my dog..they wouldn't unleash her. When the guy finally did she played xhase for a munute or 2 then tackled my dog. I go there at least 2x a week and have no issues with other dogs. I commented to them aggressive dofs aren't allowed and they mentioned my dog bit theirs..my dog was covered in slobber. What doea that tell you..and i was covered in mud from my dog hurdling me trying to feel safe. Blue car Red truck Have plate #'s Dog name Stella Owners..aggressive (makes you wonder about the dof right!)
