Addy just had an appt for itchy ears. This was our first time seeing Kawartha Animal Hospital. Strict Covid procedures in place. We felt very safe. Technicians were friendly and very thorough. Worst vet ever! Went in for a simple check up and left with a $700 bill for things that they said they would do such as cutting nails, ear cleanings and a few shots. They did not tell me how much it cost at the time and then flashed me with an outrageous bill afterwards. They are the rudest vet i have ever dealt with and i do not trust them. Go somewhere else

This summer my little cat JazzyBear began coughing as if he had something caught in his throat. He couldn't seem to clear it so I took him to see Dr. Bond at Kawartha Animal Hospital. After performing a preliminary exam she ordered a workup of tests for JazzyBear. He was diagnosed with a heart condition called cardiomyopathy which lead to his lungs being compromised as well. Jazzy was kept overnight and treated with oxygen, antibiotics, and lasix. The entire team at Kawartha Animal Hospital chipped in to save JazzyBear's life. Today he is living a comfortable, happy life and if it weren't for the professional and caring staff at Kawartha Animal Hospital the outcome might have been quite different. Thank you to the caring staff at Kawartha Animal Hospital.

Dr. Oliver, who we seen that day, immediately made me feel I had made a great choice in choosing Kawartha to look after my dogs, My two new puppies were recent patients for their first needles and health checked. I was nervous to have our baby kitty spayed, but Kawartha Animal Hospital took away all of my worries. They offered extra things like pre-blood work and pain medication that other places do not offer. And they even sent me a photo-text of my kitty when she woke up from surgery. She was in good hands and has healed up purrfectly thanks to the staff at Kawartha Animal Hospital!

Host to an incredible veterinarian. I was seen immediately upon arrival regardless of not having a scheduled appointment nor having previous registration with the clinic. The veterinarian was incredibly humble in honestly discussing treatment and test options and allowed me to stay with my pet during treatment. Furthermore, they took the time to be both thurough and patient with my pet, handling them with genuine care.

My daughter and I have found the staff at Kawartha Animal Hospital very friendly and pleasant to visit. They greet you with a smile like you are an old friend coming for a visit. They are sympathetic when you have to make a hard decision. They are very knowledgeable and able to talk so it makes sense to a stress out owner; and mega patient with the animals and the owners. Its an all around great place to go with your four legged kid(s).

Took my doggie to Dr.Oliver and his team and was extremely impressed. From the receptionists to the techs - everyone is kind and helpful. And Dr.Oliver is amazing. He is not only knowledgeable ( accurately diagnosed my dog after previous vet misdiagnosed ) But he also truly cares about your pet and compassionately works with you to improve your pets health. I wish I had discovered Kawartha Animal Hospital years ago.

Kawartha Vet was very organized during the Covid-19 crisis. They were able to fit me in for a last minute urgent appointment even though they are not my regular vet. There should be an option for less then one star because that is what this vet deserves don't go there unless u want to be pressed in to fixing your animal the doctor was very pushy about it and the cost of things there are almost double then other places!!!!!

We have had nothing but very good service. The employees always have a smile on their faces and bend over backward to help in any situation. Over the past years we have lost our two dogs. One was 10 years old and the other a couple of years older.The Kawartha Animal Hospital has been the only veterinarian hospital we have taken our dogs to and from day one we knew we wouldn't go anywhere else.They are so caring and kind to our animals they make you feel like you are taking your dogs to a friend, not a doctor.
