I've only been going here since COVID started but they've got their socially distanced service down to a science, things are running very smoothly despite the challenges. Staff and Docs have been friendly and professional. I've heard the clinic criticized around town for its prices but it doesn't seem any worse than any other vet I've ever dealt with. My only complaint is that their property seems to exist within a cellular dead spot, cabby ever get service on my koodoo phone, which mashes calling / texting as part of the curbside COVID process difficult.

Was not impressed with only my second visit..found the vet to be very un friendly.My dog hadnt been sick in over a year but was having issues with his anal glands.He had an issue with his pancreas the year before but all had been great since. I told her i noticed his skin was dry and hair coming out more.She took him and said they would do a blood test. when the receptionist says hope your sitting down its not good..15 mins and $730.00 later i left with some meds for his glands and a skin spay. Was sent an email later that one test was inconclusive but for another $185.00 i could get it done again. Needless to say i never went back nor will i.I think if your going to charge people those prices you should pre warn them what the costs will be.

I have attempted to purchase some flea and Tic prevention for one of my little dogs. it was two weeks ago I requested it at the same time as I booked both my dogs for their shots. 11 days in waiting for a phone call from the woman who answered the phone to say I could pick it up. Well, I was told there was no record of me ordering it, but sure enough their was my appointment been made. The woman who answered the phone on the second follow up call promised me she would make things right and call me back when it was ready for pick-up. Two days later they still have not found my phone number. remember my dogs need shot because of COVD they missed them and their appointment is on Aug 26. So they fully understand my dogs are not protected. They could care less about your pets, just love your money. Now they might say we need to see the dog before we prescribe it, but Whinnie seen the vet a month and a half ago.

I was a client for over a dozen years. I loved it and reccomended to many. This last year has been very different. I don't know if they have new management or are just getting too greedy but I have had to transfer my pets to a new clinic and I am really sad about it. This last year appointments have been hard to get and I have had to wait up to 2 months for an appointment! Lately I have needed to bring my pets in for unscheduleable urgent appointments and have been turned away. I have always paid immediately and always followed vet recommendations for even the most expensive treatments and surgeries. I was a good client but they told me to go elsewhere because they are always overbooked. They send you away to find a new clinic when lots of them are not taking clients or probably turned me away thinking there was a negative reason my vet won't see my animals. I was turned away from Beaverton because my cat needed to see a vet for an eye injury and they had no room for unscheduled appointments. How many clients have had to make emergency appointments because of injury, accidental ingestion or just sick animals. It's a very common occurrence. I was again turned away because all 5 vets on a particular day refused to care for my ill rabbit. They only wanted dogs and cats. I have never in all my years heard of a vet refusing an animal that is already in their system because they don't specialize that species. They tell me that I have to go elsewhere. And they didn't even care enough to call afterwards to make sure their patient on file was taken care of or offered to have their rabbit "specialist" call for an update. A few days after, I asked them to have the "specialist call me and they said they would have her call the next day but no one called me. I have transferred my files to the new clinic and am starting over with building a relationship with my animals vet. I'm hoping Beaverton starts appreciating their loyal clients and stops their answering machine ads looking for more clients when they can't even look after the clients they already have.

Today they dont get the 5...unfortunately during the pandemic I have taken my animals twice now and the routine is just chaos. The fact I can shop walmart but, cannot attend a vet visit with my Furbaby is insane. Already a high stress matter only getting worse. To have them leashed and taken from the owner and dragged by a stranger into a building theg already hate...stressful for the animal and the owner. The care is excellent, but the "new mannerisms" Could be done without.

One of the best vets I have been to. They take exotic animals, but somehow I was given incorrect pre surgery instructions for more common pets asking that I fast our bunny prior to surgery, when I had already been told that you can not fast a rabbit, if you fast a rabbit, it messes up their digestive system. The written instructions I received asking me to fast our pet, was most likely for a dog or cat.

On Saturday January 25 I had to put my best friend and companion of eight years to sleep. Dr.Aimee and trusty Ruth came to my home to put our dog Icis to sleep. As you can imagine this was a very difficult decision to make but a necessary one. Both Aimee and Ruth were kind, gentle and very supportive making the last hour as peaceful for Icis and myself as possible. The service of coming to your home is invaluable to both pet and owner alike. Icis went to sleep with her head near my lap, close to a warm fire on her favourite blanket. I couldn't have asked for more compassion and empathy than that. I have the deepest respect and trust for all the Staff and Dr's at this clinic. I highly recommend you bring your best friend to meet them if you have a need. I will miss my friend but in my heart I know she was loved and respected. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart. Emmy

What a joke, Soon as I have a minute I will update this reveiw. Megan needs to learn customer service, She is the rudest person I have ever dealt with at any Vet. Talks you down, Who do you think you are, I hope the owner sees this review and wants me to contact them. I have alot more to explain if he or she wants to here it. If you are looking for someone who cares about your pet this is not the place. I stood waiting while three lady behind the counter were chatting away. No one else there. Have no idea why you would need three girls behind the counter. I saw them do absolutely nothing while I was in there for over an hour. Atmosphere was terrible, place needs a big clean up. Would not recommend!

In our experiences, whether routine or sad Dr's Doner, Sadoch, and Gilbert are without a doubt the most professional, knowledgeable, kind, caring and compassionate doctors we have ever encountered. The service at the clinic from the time you enter the doors is exceptional, from the office administrators to the vet techs and of course the doctors. The clinic has always provided exceptional care to our pets whether it has been a routine needle or emergency care. One of the clinics doctors is always on call, 24/7 so you and your pet never have to be seen by a doctor that you are not familiar with. We have been met at the door by a doctor at 5am on a Sunday morning after a quick emergency call. It doesn't get any better than that. If you are looking for a vet that will care for and treat your pet like one of their own, then you have found the right place. My only complaint is that I can't rate the clinic 100 out of 10.

This past Saturday , July 12th, I was up at my cottage located in the Beaverton Ontario area and realized that I had forgotten to bring my dog’s seizure medication that she takes twice daily to control her seizures. My dog is a 14 year old border collie cross that suffers from seizures, arthritis, is mostly deaf but is happy and as energetic as she can possibly be and is an important beloved member of my family. Realizing that I had forgot her medication I called the only local veterinary that I am aware of in the area which was Beaverton Crossroads and told them my issue. I was assured that they do this all the time for their patients and owners and all I needed to do was have my vet in Toronto fax them Shelby’s prescription for phenol barbital and that they would fill it for me for the two day dose I needed. I was told that this would require authorization from the vet working that day and a dispensing fee. I was also told that because Shelby was not a patient at the clinic she may need to see the vet in order to get the prescription filled. At this point I felt that this was fair and I then took the fax number and e-mail information thanked them and hung up. I then contacted my vet in Toronto who had absolutely no issue faxing Shelby’s prescription to Crossroads. After two hours I then received another call telling me that the vet in that day had been consulted and would not fill her prescription for fear of losing their licence. That unless they have a 1 year relationship with a dog they do not do this for non-patients. When I asked what my options were I was told that I could try to get my vet to fax a prescription to a local pharmacy and see if they would fill it. I did not want Crossroads to get in any trouble so I went to two other pharmacies in town and both were completely out of phenol barbital. It has now been 4 hours past the time my dog needs her morning dose and I am getting quite concerned that she has not had her medication yet. With no other choice I went and got Shelby and brought her back to Crossroads and told them I had tired two other pharmacies in the area and that they were completely out. I asked if they could please help me under the circumstances and was then told that the clinic was closing at 1pm, that the vet would see her but that they would charge me the exam fee plus an after-hours fee and then the fee for the prescription if the vet felt comfortable filling it at that time. I feel totally exploited and taken advantage of. They knew they had me in a situation that I would pay just about anything at that point and proceeded to do just that. I am so angry that this clinic says they put animals first, but at the end of the day it all came down to soaking money out of me. This is not right and something needs to be done. I will never bring my dog or any other pets to this clinic and in sharing my story with neighbors I have herd the same negative experiences with this clinic. In the end I did not pay the fee and went to a third pharmacy in the area that had the drug. I was told about this in the waiting room of the clinic by one of the staff who had over herd my story as I was waiting to see the vet. Please do not let any other pet owners go through what I had to go through this weekend. Do not let this clinic continue to treat animals as only a means to make a buck.

Today we woke up and knew we had to say goodbye to our amazing dog Mia. The last couple of days she declined quickly and she was starting to be in pain. We called around our town and 2 vets said they would call back, but didn't, one said earliest appointment was in 6 days. We were starting to become very worried as we were not sure she would be here in 6 days. That vet said to call Beaverton and see if they could help us. When we called, Kim answered, and we told her what was happening. Her first response was to tell us she was sorry, and that she would not turn us away. From that point on, the staff at this clinic took a very difficult day, and helped us to ease Mia's pain, and lay her to rest. They showed compassion, understanding, and caring, and the utmost professionalism. This clinic and staff truly care about not only the animals they treat, but understand that these animals are family, and treat the owners with the same compassion. We will never forget you, and we will make sure everyone knows about your clinic. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
