I don’t know where to begin with this review, but all I know is that everyone needs to know how great Oriole Road Animal hospital is. Dr.Reid is the epitome of compassion and empathy. We have had 4 dogs that are all loyal patients of his, and two who have recently passed. The experience of transitioning them was made easier because of the gentle care and attention that Dr.Reid gave them. It’s never easy saying goodbye to a furry friend, but anything that can make it easier is well worth it. Having Oriole Road Animal Hospital as our go to clinic was a great decision that made hard moments like these more bearable.

In the past I have had some bad experience with vets and had lost faith that they were all out for the mighty dollar! ....The staff and Dr. Andrew are a shinning example of how all vet clinics should be. They are so very understanding and non judgmental. Have your pets health at the highest priority, both mental and physical. My dog Kiki (Pom/Chihuahua) needed major dental surgery/cleaning and they did the most fantastic job with a very reasonable cost. I live in 150 Mile House, B.C. now, but will keep them as my main vet. They are worth the drive :) Thank you Dr. Andrew, Denise, Katherine and everyone at the clinic. You made a difference in my life and especially in Kiki's.

We were passing through Kamloops when our dog developed a limp. We ended up at Oriole Road Animal Hospital where Dr. Andrew Reid treated our little boy for a dislocated bone in his foot. Dr Reid stayed late on a Saturday to help us. He spent a good amount of time examining our boy and chatting with us. Frankly, we want this doctor as our primary vet, but unfortunately we don't live anywhere near Kamloops.

Was on a hunting trip with my dog and he had hurt himself. The staff here even stayed a little late to wait for us to get in from the bush. They were great, didn't charge me an arm and leg, were friendly and Dexter had apparently sprained his tail... a very grievous injury for a happy Lab who is all tail.

The Kindest most compassionate exsperienced seasoned professional Vet I know... been through allot with Dr. Reid and my numerous pets. So Glad he opened up his own practice. The Only Vet I know who is " not all about the money " and will not charge unnessesarily for treatments of your fur baby just to rack up a vet bill. Love this man != My pets do to ~! Highly recomend !! Whats more... You can TRUST him and his wife who is also a vet at the same practice. The staff are kind caring they are all ontop of there game !

I took our 8 1/2 yr old adopted dog in for a toe nail trim and because he was very nervous, the loud dark haired receptionist told me I couldn't bring him back unless he was sedated. She was very abrupt and rude. I'm not about to sedate my dog each time he needs a nail trim, so I went elsewhere. The new vet had absolutely no problem doing his nails, and my dog was not scared or anxious at all! I'm glad I went elsewhere.

We came in to see Dr. Andrew Reid after hours the day our family dog got sick. Dr. Reid was very thorough, professional and caring. He took his time explaining to us what possibly might have happened to our dog, told us the signs to look for in case he gets worse at home, and to call if it did. Couldn't have asked for a better on-call vet. If we didn't already have a very caring vet we would be coming here. I would highly recommend it here!

They saved our little mans life :-) we had to take him in after hours for a diabetic seizure he had earlier in the evening. He seemed to do better then crashed; after numerous blood work, IV's and other test our boy is back home. It may have taken some time to get his glucose levels stable and get him on the right anti-seizure medication, but our boy is back home a doing well. Amazing vets and techs at this place :-)

We have been going to Oriole Road Animal Hospital since moving to the Kamloops area in March. Since our first visit, Oriole Road Animal Hospital has been patient, informative, professional and very welcoming. Our dogs can be a touch challenging at times, but the vets, the techs and particularly the front counter staff have always been very understanding and accommodating to make their experiences as positive as possible. Our husky mix loves Dr. Andrew and our shepherd mix was very comfortable with Dr. Fiona! Our 8 month-old puppy did her spay surgery today and from drop off to pick up the entire staff was phenomenal to work with. All of our questions were answered (over and over again), our discharge information was clear and we were even able to speak the vet before the surgery. Thank you, Oriole Road Animal Hospital, for always making us feel like you love our pups as much as we do. You all make one very concerned and nervous dog momma a whole lot more comfortable. The vets and techs are amazing, and the front counter staff is so lovely to speak with - they even give me the long print outs of our receipts to keep everything in our own file! Very thankful to be in the care of this vet office. A five star review is the least we can do for such a great office and staff.

Horrible , My vet from out of town had a requested meds for me by fax. they filled and sold them to me once, but the next time with a different receptionist told me they couldn't help as it was 5pm and after hours ( even though the sign said open and could clearly see many people moving around in the back ) My vet had called and told them I was on my way needing this as my dog was experiencing seizures. Due to the lack of help , I live a good 40 mins out of town. I had to rush her up to the after hours vet to get the same medication... but by this time she had lost most of her vision. I will not be dealing with them again.
