I brought my kitten here today and I was so impressed. The doctor, the receptions and everyone else was so nice and good to my kitten. The poor guy ended up having earmites and they were so gentle with him as they cleaned out his ears and treated him. The doctor also took time to explain how to administer the at home treatment. I am so happy I picked this Vet to go to.

This is the only veteran that we will take our pet to see. They have been very good to us and our pets. We have called and been able to be seen with in the next day which is so nice. The people who work there are very friendly and professional as well as helpful. The clinic is always clean.

Great experience. I've had vets in the past make me muzzle my dog just because he is large, but here the vet is very comfortable with both my dogs and makes it a relaxed visit.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR BEARDED DRAGON TO THIS VET!!!! I had the worst experience ever with this guy.....I phoned and asked If they are able to look at my beardie because I think he might be compacted.....they said they do and for me to bring him down. I was in the room with the vet for about 10 minutes talking about my beardie and then he said he had to go look on the computer about something and then 10 seconds after he left the room he popped his head back in and asked me If it was a bearded dragon?????? OMG really???? then he came back in and told me I need to have 80% humidity in his tank....again OMG what???? They are not supposed to have over 20% to 30% humidity in their tank ever. He did not ask me any questions about what his substrate is or living conditions or even If I have a UV bulb....all questions a vet should ask if the dragon is constipated or compacted which is an extremely serious thing and they can die. So I did most of the talking and just told the vet my dragon has just come out of brumation which is another term used for cold blooded reptiles who go into "hibernation" .....the vet honestly asked me what brumation is????????? Ok at this point I was seriously blown away and dumbfounded that a vet claims he deals with bearded dragons but yet he knows less than I do about them. I asked the vet If he could take an xray to see If he actually is compacted, and he told me that an xray would not be able to tell him if he is compacted.....THIS IS ALSO VERY INCORRECT! The only way you can find out is by an xray!!!! because If he is compacted than it needs to be dealt with immediately and then needs surgery, which I was completely ready to do whatever was needed regardless of the cost. Now this guy had also left atleast 5 times to go look on his computer about bearded dragons. This guy should not be taking in bearded dragons and or looking at them.....he charged me the $80 for the checkup which I believe I shouldn't have had to pay a dime.....I taught him everything about beardies and he told me all the wrong things to do. Not to mention he honestly didn't even know it was a beardie by looking at him???? nor did he know what brumation is???? I didn't want to cause a scene because there was another person in there with a dog, but I phoned when I got home and said I want my money back because of the whole experience, and even told the vet he should not be looking at beardies If he doesn't know a thing about them......he was extremely rude and he even raised his voice at me and told me he knows all about beardies, and that he just didn't know what brumation was. I told him it was more than just that, and told him I spent $80 for absolutely nothing....He told me he didn't care and I would not be getting my money back. I will be posting this with CVBC and also the BBB, and anywhere else I can let people know. He should not be claiming to know about this particular reptile If he doesn't know a damn thing. I am very worried for the next person to go in there with a beardie.

I found the Vet. to be very personable and patient with my dog, who was very nervous ; growling, tried to bite , etc. By the end of the visit, the Vet had him sitting at attention and behaving well, despite the poking of needles and prodding of a tender spot. Great service.

My family has been taking our pets here for generations. Dr. Hunter has always been kind, patient, honest, and professional. Susan at reception is always so sweet and helpful, and makes the process quick and easy. Just yesterday I got to meet Casey the technician who took the time to make sure me and my senior kitty felt comfortable, and that I totally understood my cats health issues, and her surgical procedure and estimate. She was able to draw blood from my cat, who technicians were not able to draw blood from in the past. She even went for a belly rub without hesitation, and my kitty was loving it. Many pets have had a number of procedures there I never have any hesitations over the level of care my pets receive at Columbia Summit Veterinary.

Bad service. Vet is a bit of sour person. He was yelling at a kid on the phone calling him worthless and swore publicly. He deserves to lose his license.

We had an emergency visit on a weekend after our cat was attacked by a dog. The Doctor was gentle with our cat and kind to us. He was even concerned about the injuries that I had received while trying to protect the cat. Thank you .

Dr Hunter and his staff are nothing beyond exceptional. Dr Hunter is very professional and empathetic. I know that my animals are in the best hands when I take them there. My dogs and cat are my children and I would do anything for them, having said that I highly recommend anyone to take their animals to his clinic. 5 stars.

Favourite vet I have ever been to. I went there once just to grab a product off the shelf and Dr Hunter came out and asked what I was looking for and recommended a product that was much better for what I needed and around the same price. It really impressed me that he personally helped customers when he could, so next time I needed a vet I took my dog there. My dog gets nervous at the vet, but relaxes a bit as soon as she sees him. He dealt with the problem right away and had the chance to encourage me to get other expensive work done... but instead he explained why those next steps probably weren't necessary at this point. He thoroughly explained everything and, despite having spent a lot of time with me, asked if I had other concerns and then proceeded to address those concerns too. I loved that he was not rushing me out. He provides a level of customer service that is hard to find now and I would recommend him to anyone.

The front desk girl was okay, but the doctor is extremely insensitive and incredibly rude. He could not care less for our dogs bleeding, and the next morning he actually yelled at us on the phone when we called for help as she was breathing her last breaths within 24 hours of his "advice." Same illness happened a few days later to our second baby and we went to our normal vet in Valleyview. By avoiding this rude "vet" on Columbia, our second pup had a chance at life. If only we had known before we trusted his advice, we may not have lost a poor beloved life.

Dr. Hunter is a caring,understanding person. My dog Hugo dosen't mind going to the office,(as long as Susan hugs him). He has looked after Hugo for almost all of his twelve years, and I trust him implicitly.

I've always had a great experience here - the doctor always takes time to explain things and answer any questions, and is the only vet I've found that I can trust with my rabbits. The front desk is accommodating and has fit me in for more urgent issues, and my fur babies always get better quickly.

100$ almost with tax for my hamster get medicine im quoted. Im a single mom.and after a bad car accident including a broken back money is very tightotal And even after explaining my situation and saying i guess ill let my children know their hamster is going to die the secretary didn't care. Who cares even about my family having financial troubles NO ONE should have to pay that for a hamster. Thanks summit veterinary for letting are poor little Rosey suffer. Our family dog passed away in our accident!
