The staff is always friendly, you can tell they care about your pets more than your money. That being said they are on the more expensive side in comparison to other local vets. I do find that because they are popular sometime you have a hard time getting an appointment in a reasonable time frame.

The girls at Cassell's Animal Hospital have been very good to us. Dr. Laferriere met us at a very bad time, during an emergency visit with my sick sheltie. Unfortunately, we lost her but, the doctor and the technician were so very good to me. They were so compassionate and understanding. We have since adopted a puppy, and he is now a patient at Cassell's Animal Hospital. They girls are awesome. Thank you for taking such good care of our babies.

If there was a zero rating they and their answering service would get zero. Last night our little dog that we had for 12 years had an emergency and so we called the on-call vet which was Cassell's Animal hospital and we were told that since we did not have a "family" vet from North Bay that they could not help him and they basically hung up. As it turns out our little pooch died and the answer from their answering service was totally unacceptable and I just wanted them to be singled out and expose that shameful behavior!!!

I give this animal clinic one star because who turns away a dog with two badly broken toes.More importantly a service dog. Yes they turn away my service dog Nefertiti as I was 20min late bringing her in . Because I got stuck in construction with a dog groaning in pain . The reason they gave because we dont want others to wait. Really! So you me turned away with a sick animal because you don't want anyone to wait. I have been there and you made me wait . So what's the big rush now that my dog have not one but two severely broken toes. Who does this type of cold hearted things only Cassell animals clinic .I did not beg,borrow or steal anything from the office manager and the first dump thing that came out of her mouth. We dont give away service for free. If the people and the dogs in your clinic knew that a dog was in pain from two broken toes. They would have given nefertiti their spot than made her suffer in pain.Listen I do not want anything from you to buy, steal or beg.Because the dogs that come to your clinic have more compassion and kindness. I thought you had some standard even if you don't know how to show compassion. . But I was wrong. This plant tells you what's on my mind.

All of the staff are extremely friendly. They were able to fit both of my dogs in earlier so that I could have their vaccines updated. They also went above and beyond to make it a positive experience for my extremely hyper and often uncooperative puppy. They put him at ease and this is probably the best I have seen him respond to staff in a clinic or groomer setting.

Awsome customer service from the front desk and Amazing Vets . First place I've brought my dog and felt a total sence of trust . Our dog has diabetes at age 12 and she went blind we have had multiple visits to see the doc . DR Polangio is very knowledgeable and she takes the time to explain everything in detail . Not for one second did we think we were getting over charged , as all our costs including our visits were very reasonable . We totaly felt a sence of trust and put our dogs health into her hands . We had a hard time getting blood to test glucose from our dog and a few of our visits were free of charge . She took the time to show us and explain in depth . More than an excellent run business , bring your animals here , you won't be disappointed.

Dr. Janyk, Tiffany, Wendy and Kaley are the usual suspects when I bring my 2 year old cat Piper in. I cannot express how much I truly love this team. Piper has had the worst luck, URI, Herpes, and now today, she is having one of her eyes taken out because of her illnesses. Piper has had the BEST care here; the team continuously looks for the best options for her and for me as well, understanding I am a student. I come in and every single visit Tiffany or Wendy ask to hold her (she is a very laid back cat), and Piper gets cuddled by all three every visit depending who is working. They love her and take her to the computers and tell her how pretty she is, her ego is boosted every-time that is for sure. They very obviously remember Piper and her condition always checking in and excited to her. Dr. Janyk is amazing. She is gentle but straight to the point, honest and very kind during our visits. Most importantly, the entire team is always full of compassion. I would recommend this team over and over and over and trust them entirely with one of the most important members of my little family.

I have been a client with this hospital for many years. I haven't personally had a pet in several years, but have family on the same account with their pets. I called to book an appointment for my siblings cat and was told my account was deactivated and that they "weren't taking on any new clients." I was then told I wouldn't be able to get in for over a month. I am concerned for the pets health and was essentially told to find another vet. I am beyond angry that the clinic I have been with for years turned me away so easily and without hesitation. No one bothered to get in contact with me to inquire about the status of my account. They simply deleted me.

This place has been so great . I got the run around from two other vets here in town when my dog got sick with cancer . I had to have her euthanized and this place had never seen my dog before . And one call and they made this horrible time in my families life a little better and easier for us to gather and say good bye to our beloved bullmastiff named Georgia . They were so understanding and great to deal with . They didn't make it about money or we weren't regular clients . They understood and it took a huge weight off of our shoulders . Now I have a new little dog and he had to go to the vets recently and we didn't even bother with the other two vets. One being the worst place I've ever had to deal with airport animal clinic. What a joke this place is . I've had 4 visits there with 3 different animals and two of them where with their owners and all 4 visits something happened from stupid to unbelievable. If your looking for a good vet from some kind good hearted people who aren't about money first . They have been top notch with us and I highly recommend them

Had to get a tooth extracted on my dog. The staff explained each step and what to expect for my pet. They called after the surgery to let me know my dog was out of surgery. They gave me more then enough pain medication for my dog so she would not suffer. They called me at least 3 times to check on my dog. You can tell they care about their patients.

I gave this animal clinic one star because the dogs that they see would be a lot more compassionate and kind. Shamefully, they show their true colors before I turn over my service dog for them to do surgery on her on Thur. I was really lucky, God was on my side because they turned away my service dog who severely broke two of her toes on the top of her foot while running at university on Tue Sept 26. two days before her surgery with them. I was given an appointment for 9.30 to get her in to be seen .I was 20 mins late driving from Sudbury Ont through countless constructions and called a half hour prior to let them know that I am trapped in traffic with a dog crying and groaning in pain. But they told me that I should not bother to come in because I will impede on someone's time. Really!!! Yes !! dont bring in a service dog with two badly broken toes and in severe pain. I was floored because the dogs would have given up their spots. I have been to this clinic before and they made me wait . However, I took the dog anyway and they turned us away. Yes ! turned me away because other clients will have to wait they said "you were twenty mins late" I was coming from Sudbury with a crying dog that could not put her foot on the ground . Standing in the parking lot ,one of the patrons saw us and called another vet for my service dog. We found out then that her toes were badly broken. Who does this ?Cassells Animal clinic. The manager is so dump, she said to me in my distress we dont give away free service here. Who asked her for anything free, beg,borrow or steal. I pay a lot of money to the other vet because the dog had to be put to sleep for the x-rays. These people are very a coldhearted bunch, but there is one of the vets that i see regularly, she seemed okay. But its frightening that My dog was suppose to do surgery dog here if she did not break her toes two days prior. I am lucky. because my dog might not be alive if they did her surgery. Not even in Toronto they dont turn away sick and injured animals. Get some heart for Christ sake!!!! You need a near death to know KINDNESS and compassion!!!

My fur babies were sick and the vet recommended we start with the cheaper treatments to see if there was any improvement, a week later the difference was huge. I brought my dog to them (my parents have gone here a long time) after another vet told me her eye would have to be removed due to her being scratched and blinded. They told me that wouldn't be necessary and her eye could heal. It did and she can see. Thank goodness for these people! Also had my cat fixed here and it went and healed perfectly. And when we called on the weekend they were super good about not bringing her in unless absolutely necessary. They really care about animals AND people. They are always amazing and kind. I've never once had an issue.

Honestly, the best! I am not one to leave reviews, but Cassells Animal Hospital certainly earned it! Evie and I have been coming here for a few years now. Evie is a very timid chihuhua/dachshund and doesn't let just anyone pet her. Dr Laferriere has been our vet, she has been so patient and gentile with her, respecting her boundaries and took the time to educate the owner (me) on how to assist her in caring for my dog. Evie has come a long way, and is more trusting towards the staff due to their genuine sense of wanting to help, a true gift with animals. The staff truly cares about your pet, they are friendly to everyone, including the owners. They even go above and beyond! The staff are always excited to see us, so friendly... they even took a picture of Evie and use it as her profile picture in file. When I informed them we were moving to a different city, Dr. Laferriere did a whole work up. Took her time with her, even recommended the best tick/flee/deworming medicine for our new location. She even went through the pros and cons of these meds, printed a comparison sheet and determined the best price for the best protection. Absolutely amazing services! Thank you for everything!!

Last Monday I took my 9 Year old Yorkie in for an emergency situation. That morning he was struggling to pee and and was throwing up several times. He was totally fine up until then. Now he was in trouble. Dr. Marquette & Dr. Eckensviller tried for over an hour to unblock him without success. He had many stones. They gave me the option of keep trying or euthanasia. I asked that they try a little longer. While still on the phone Dr. Eckensviller (I believe) announced that Dr. Marquette has just pulled some large stones out and that they would get back to me soon. Within a few minutes I got a call back with "We Did It". They were so excited and happy! Needless to say I was ecstatic! She was able to totally flush him out. Dr. Marquette returned after hours to check on him and called to tell me she was comfortable with letting him go home as I could monitor him rather than him staying over night there. Within 12 hours my little guy was up walking peeing and getting a drink. Within 24 hours he was back to his old self eating drinking and peeing. I brought him in the next day for a follow up and he is scheduled for another in a few days. From the bottom of my heart Thank you Dr.'s Marquette & Eckensviller and staff for your kindness, your skill and determination to save my little guys life. These people are the best. You can be certain that they care for the well being of you and your pets. Much Love. Julie

I am extremely pleased with the service at Cassells Animal. I have never seen anyone treat my dog as they do. They actually came to the front and sat on the floor with her the first time I brought her in. Willow was nervous as it was her first time at the vet. They made her feel loved and now she heads right to the door, tail wagging. That means a lot to me knowing she likes going to the vet. When I did need to get surgery done, the vet sent me a text with her picture saying everything went well and the Dr. would be calling me shortly. That was the most amazing thing. I still have the text and show everyone how they treat you and your furry family. THEY ARE, IN MY EYES, THE BEST ANIMAL HOSPITAL AROUND!!! Keep up the awesome work...See you Monday

These people need a reminder from the Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics: "In emergencies, veterinarians have an ethical responsibility to provide essential services for animals when necessary to save life or relieve suffering, subsequent to client agreement (or until such agreement can be obtained when no client is present). Such emergency care may be limited to euthanasia to relieve suffering, or to stabilization of the patient for transport to another source of animal care." Yeah, you do all of the aforementioned before you ask for the wallet. You don't let the animal suffer while waiting for the wallet.

My poor cat was having a problem having her babies and we had to go to this vet as they were on call, I paid 250 just for the check up which she didn’t even take her temp or vitals nothing just kept saying how much it would cost for her to do anything and how she has surgeries in the morning. My baby ended up losing her kittens and is still in critical condition at blue sky animal hospital. I will never go back to this vet or recommend them to anyone.
