I have used this Vetrenarian clinic for 30 yrs and this is my 4 Dog that will be seen in my adult life. I have put my faith in them and their knowledge and have always been satisfied. They saved my last dog from 2 obstructions, without having to have surgery. I would highly reccomend them and the staff. Having been a patient there this long speaks volumes.

This is pretty much the only place that my dog feels comfortable in. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and very gentle. The facility is amazingly clean, as I confirmed with my most recent visit - I came early on a weekend and the level of cleanliness was apparent as soon as I entered the building. There are separate spots in the reception area for cat and dog owners, overall very accommodating! New pet owners, visit here first!

PLEASE READ!! DR YOUNG IS A SADIST. I COULDN'T GIVE THIS RATING WITHOUT A STAR NOT FAIR IT DESERVES NOTHING! READ ON.. We brought our cat in because his tail dragged n was lethargic. Dr. Young did every test which cost me plenty. 3 weeks later went to another vet. She IMMEDIATELY felt his tail, he felt nothing. The doctor said he had broken his tail. Which in turn had to had to be amputated. Please don't give this SADIST any of ur business. My poor cat was in horrid pain. HE SHOULD NOT have been in! Go to Court Animal Hospital.. or any other hospital. DO NOT GO TO THIS VET... After operation he's back to himself! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of adding a new member to our family, Charlie our 10 week old Morkie. One of my main concerns was finding the absolute best animal clinic. We have chosen Wilson's Animal Hospital after many different suggestions. Today was our first experience with this clinic and it was very pleasant. We were greeted so warmly by Kim, Auntie Kim as she calls herself when speaking to Charlie. Dr. Derek Nichols was the one that looked after him today and he was amazing. He was very informative and helpful with me being a first time dog owner and was wonderful with Charlie. This is a clinic I would absolutely advise others to come to .

Amazing clinic. The staff are wonderful and truly care about your animal's well being. The veterinarians are so kind and genuinely want the best for your pet. Ruby is a strictly indoor cat and going outside is difficult for her. She always comes back home playful and relaxed. Normally she would hide away for the day, but she seems just like herself when we get home. I think she knows she's been treated well and she always feels better. I highly recommend this clinic. They do only what's necessary and the charge is minimal for care. 10/10.

6/5. Outstanding work!! This animal hospital performed surgery on my 17 year old dog. They removed 5 teeth I believe and some sorda bump on his butt. I don't think anyone could have done a better job than the people working here. My dog seems like he's never been happier after his surgery. So glad your team was able to help him and send him back home to us! Thank You so much ♡

Our last visit was on Monday, May 1st. Without an appointment, we were at the desk at opening asking if there was any way our extremely ill cat could be brought in to be euthanized. We knew there was nothing more we could do for his rapidly deteriorating body. Kim was more than accommodating. We returned with our cat about an hour later. Dr. Paula entered the room with her always calm and pleasant energy. She made sure we knew how much her as well as the rest of the staff who had previously seen Sabu supported this always difficult decision. The amount of compassion shown by her as well as vet tech, Tanya exceeded whatever expectation we ever had. Watching Dr. Paula handle Sabu both before and after was heartwarming. Having this amazing Dr. shed tears for our family was even more heartwarming. Kim's kind words and her incredible hugs on our way out was exactly what we all needed. Being a client of Wilson's for over 20 years has been a blessing and a privilege. All of my animals (and there have been many in these 20 years) have been so fortunate to be treated and loved by all of the talented Doctors, Dr. David, Dr. Paula, Dr. Zack and Dr. Derek. Went to see this vet ten days ago with my 8 year old cat. Cat stopped eating and drinking and was very weak. I came in with my mother and we saw the Dr. Vet (not sure of his name) and he basically told us there was no chance for her. He never tried getting extra money out of us just made recommendations and we had to put her down. The Vet was so caring and he was almost in tears as I was. We had to put my cat down. I want to thank this Dr for being so kind, he made this awful process of putting cat down a little easier. I am not a friend of this vet writing a good review for him just writing from my heart. I hope you talk to the vet that looked after me and tell him, job well done.Paul McC

The veterinarians and staff at Wilson's Animal Hospital are wonderful. They are so patient and kind, knowledgeable and caring. Over the years our dogs have been examined and treated by Dr. Dave Wilson and Dr. Zack Young. The Vets are great listeners, very gentle with our dogs and thoroughly explain every possible detail about any illness or procedure, the results of tests and blood-work, etc. Their love for animals is evident and they put owners and their furry patients, at ease. They seem to genuinely care about your pet and are great at educating you on different options for treatments/vaccines etc. but don't push you. The clinic is well run and organized compared to other clinics I have been to that are always chaotic.

We brought my daughter's dog in after a very traumatic experience at St Catharines animal hospital last year. We were nervous to try another vet. But right from the greeting at Wilson's from the receptionist, we thought we would be in good hands. Instead, we found ourselves in AMAZING hands !!! The level of care our small, anxious dog was unprecedented. My daughter and I were treated with respect and all of our concerns were addressed and resolved. Our dog was lovingly cared for through the exam and immunization process - he has never been so calm !!! He was in the Vet Tech Carolyn's arms just snuggling not barking !!! Again, AMAZING how they treated and cared for the dog and for us !! Dr. Paula Wilson stayed with us for an hour since it had been two years since Hudson had a really great exam - she went above and beyond any expectation we may have had. If we could give Wilson's Animal Hospital 10 stars we would because our experience was exceptional !!

Dr. Zachary Young has been veterinarian to my myriad pets - multiple cats and several dogs - for approximately 17 years. I first met him about 2000 at another practice in St. Catharines. With almost 5 decades of experience in pet ownership and having been on the front line in several local pet rescue groups since 1970, I am not an easy pet parent to have as a client. I do not give my trust easily or quickly to any veterinarian. I demand the highest quality of knowledge, skill, patience, kindness, compassion and integrity. I also require that any veterinarian who treats my pets possess a willingness to work with me as a genuine partner in ensuring the good health of my pets. Not always being entirely convinced that traditional therapies are the best treatment for every situation, I also require that my pets' veterinarian be creative, flexible and willing to investigate, and use, if appropriate, new and alternative therapies. Over the years, I have found Dr. Young to fully possess each of these attributes. He has gone the proverbial extra mile in researching new and alternative treatments for my pets. He has had to treat many unusual illnesses and injuries affecting my pets. Yet, Dr. Young has always listened patiently to my concerns and has always fully explained all treatments and options available. I have always been able to rely on his competence and his genuine concern for the health of my pets, even at the most difficult of times - bidding my pets the final farewell. Dr. Young has earned my trust and the trust of my many pets both past and current. I have highly recommended him to many family members and friends over the years and have no hesitation in recommending his services, today, to anyone. I have to also give top marks to Jenna, Joel and Tanya, the Vet Techs, for their compassion and knowledge, as well as to Kim, the veterinarian assistant. She is unflappable. I have been in their office often enough to see her cope with an array of clients and pet patients. Every person and every pet is given her full respect, attention, and compassion. Vets and techs are very friendly and do a great job of taking care of your pet. The reason for not giving 5 stars is their pricing as they are one of the most expensive vets in the Niagara Region. A simple rabies shot can cost over $150 and they even charge more than $20 for trimming nails. If money is no object or you can't go to another vet, then by all means, bring you pet here as they will be well taken care of.
