Extremely professional service from the teams all around. Six months ago, my cat almost died. Thanks to them, he lived an extra 6 months of happy life. Dr. Cuisinier and Dr. Tomasino were so diligent in following up regularly to check up on him. Unfortunately, Timour's time came after 17.5 beautiful years, and Dr. Tomasino and the staff were so gentle and professional in his last moments. We brought our dog in and got a referral to a specialist. We got a 10,000$, surgery done from thier referral. We have pet insurance and put in a claim. Our claim was refused, due to 1 veterinary did not send in thier paperwork for out claim. Pierrefonds animal hospital has yet to send in the insurance claim paperwork. We have been waiting for almost 3 months. They are not responsive and have not been picking up the phone. We have seen around 5 veterinarians and they have all done the insurance claim paperwork except for Pierrefonds animal hospital. We are still waiting. Not pleased with service.

Cannot say enough how happy I am that this is my vet. Everyone who works here is very friendly, for when your cat or dog is going through something outside regular hours, they have emergency services . They have Physiotherapy for your pet after any surgery or injury. Never had anything but a pretty positive experience here... I only say pretty because it's still a vet, and our cat doesn't like coming here

No stars. I worked for two different Vets for a total of 40 years. All injured or orphaned wild animals or birds where treated free of charge and if the person who brought them in did not want to care for those that could be treated then one of the staff ( 3 including the doctor ) would take them home and care for them until ready for release . These people will NOT help them, won't even try ! I found an injured seagull & offered to care for it but all they would do is kill it, fixable or not. I understand if it was my pet, they do have to make a living they are not a Humane Society but a wild bird ? It costs them pennies ! Do not believe for one second these people care about your or any animal. They care only for $$$$$. I gave 1 star only because you can't post without giving 1. I would prefer to give no star. My girlfriend and her family had to bring her cat in a few weeks ago for a potential urinary blockage that actually turned out to be cancer. the clinic provided amazing service to constant updates. If I were a cat, or dog, I would certainly prefer this veterinary hospital. Why?, it is first class and never stressful. Are prices lower in understaffed clinics with less experienced doctors, and located in less convenient comfortable and spacious environments? My cat Domino is spoiled. He is a member of our family, so we give him only the best of everything, including a patient doctor relationship with the elite veterinarian Dr Goldenberg. We are less than a few minutes away from a vet in St Laurent, We still insist on bringing him 21 kms further. When I need to see a doctor, sometimes the clinic is not half as nice as this one. Those who appreciate this establishment know what Domino and I know!

I would have given this a 5 star, but my last experience was very unprofessional, I had the terrible news that I had to put my best friend down, I made an appointed and waited over 20 min in a cold sterile room, with the doors open! My dog already anxious and me in tears -I voiced my concern and asked the young girl to be more sympathetic, I know I have to pay, but to make me wait, 20 min. after payment in unacceptable. I walk out of the room and found Dc. Allen whom was very sympathetic and brought us to a cozy room where I was able to grieve and say good bye. Please train your Staff with dignity

I used to respect this establishment until yesterday. My mother brought in her dog Sydney because she had a seizure that lasted close to an hour. The staff saw my mother with the dog in her arms and ran to assist her. Sydney was brought to the back and was administered emergency care. Up until then, the staff did what they had to do, and I am grateful for that. The next part is why I lost all respect for this place. By the time my mother had time to reach me, the dog was unresponsive. My mother told me over the phone that they had called an animal ambulance to take her dog to DMV. By the time I arrived and saw what pitiful state Sydney was in, I could clearly see that she wouldn't make it, yet you people gave my mother false hope that her dog would be ok. You guys charged her around 400$, the ambulance was another 250$ and the DMV, who are renounced to be crooks and to take advantage of people during a time of vulnerability, charged a whooping 1400$ for a dog that should have been euthanized that very same morning. Sydney suffered longer than she should have because you sold my mother false hope. I hold you responsible for Sydney's useless suffering and I will tell everyone I know to avoid that wretched place like the plague. Shame on you!

I went in 15th of July to help my girl cross over the rainbow bridge. Everyone who helped us that day were great. I called in 29th July to confirm private cremation options and was told it would be about a week to receive the remains. Now today, 10th August, I find out after talking to Creamanimo that my choice were never confirmed on their end and my dog's body never picked up. Not ONCE did anyone mention this to me when I called the clinic last week, both 5&6th of August! What upsets me most is HOW did they not know the body was still on site!? I paid a premium to have my girl creamated and so far I'm let down with this part of the services. Just want to get her home.

They took my cat in right away (had his bladder blocked) - suggested 3 types of treatments for different costs. After I decided they operated on my cat soon after and hospitalized him for 2 days. My cat is now doibg well.They already scheduled an examination in 2 weeks to make sure everything is on track and normal. They're not 24/7 but they have technicians there with a doctor on call during non business hours. They were always there to answer my questions and very welcoming too

My 3 year old cat had an emergency the other night after ingesting some plastic and not knowing what to do I phoned, even though my cat wasn't a patient already. After asking thorough questions, they told us to come in ASAP. We usually have a vet who comes to the house and my cat is a skittish indoor cat who's never been outside since we adopted him at 2 months, so this was a bit traumatizing for him (and us!). The staff at the Pierrefonds Anima Hospital were so incredible They took such good care of him, Dr. Kasuto explained everything to us so well and was so kind as well as the technician who was so good to my cat. They also called a couple of days later to check up on him which I really appreciated. I am so grateful to know that they're right around the corner should another emergency ever happen!

They are very kind and caring at this hospital. They are also very organized and will call you to confirm your appointment the day before. My cat has been sick and tests needed to be done, they called me to let me the know the results as soon as possible so that further steps can be taken. The Doctors will always go over what they think is a good route to take and will always give you an approximate price. in terms of price, it is a bit pricy but a lot of vets are as expensive and understand that it's because they are the experts and trust them with my beloved pet.

Front reception staff have not been good in relaying messages specifically about prescription reorders and wait time to pick up prescriptions is long. Care is expensive. Consultation for emergency visit before care and treatment over $100 at 700 am. Regular consultation approx 75. On a simple first visit plan on about $300 if medications and/or labs involved. The costs are discussed with you though and you are not pushed into unnecessary care

Dr Archambault saved Hoover after he was hit by a car . Wiring his jaw back together . He lived 12 more years. Dr Masse is our Cat vet and She is the most compassionate person. Today I felt it was time to leave my comments . Dr Masse has been there for us through good times and bad. Never rushing and always honest. We had used this veterinary in the past and occasionally drop in for the Hill's prescription cat food monopolized for sale through vets only. They have extended hours which makes it conveniently accessible. The staff is knowledgeable about the products and ready to assist. The markup is substantial on pet food and most consumers are aware of this. You need only look at the ingredients to see what you are paying. Prices controled by vets for the monopolized brands only make this worse. Same for medication. Substantial so not to say felonous markup. How many pharmas have been bought over and new shareholders will multiply the price of pills in the double and triple digit percentages. Most pet owners love their pets and vets know this. The costs are proportionately based on this vulnerability and this is undeniable regardless of any argument I receive from the veterinary. I've spent well over $5,000 over the last few years and can attest that pets are for the rich. I've seldomly had visits under $500 regardless of the vet and each time there is some consulting charges and medication. Sadly I see that the lower star comments all get many thumbs up which essentially corroborates my thoughts above. The premises are clean, modern and staff caring which substantiates some stars. It is an industry which in my humble opinion takes full advantage of vulnerability. Like weddings and funerals.

This hospital is a sanctuary for worried owners and sick pets. The staff is always happy and concerned for every pet that enters their front door, for an emergencies or routine check up. They are able to advise owners properly about risk's, likeliness of any situation and keep in mind the owners financial availability in respect and honesty. They have a large team with expert for every pet. It was hard for me to find a vet to take a careful look at my rat, but exotic pets are not an issue for them. I enjoy there honesty and concern that you can see or hear when you call panicked for advise. I was overwhelmed by their kindness when one of my dear friends passed away. They have a calm little room where you can take your pet to mourn and take your time to say your goodbyes in respect and dignity. It is not everywhere you can shed tears and bawl a little in comfort in a soothing atmosphere. They also offer a few option for the deceased. In my case i was given a beautiful paw print of my pet in a booklet witch had room for a picture. I thank the vet who took her time to sit by my side and talk after the incident. Their waiting room is spacious, permitting many owners and there pets to wait with out being too close of other animals. I also enjoy their shop, accessible from the inside of the facility. I had not had the chance (if you can call it that) to examine their rehabilitation equipment, but I am very impressed with the machinery. I hope my personal experience and recommendation will make you consider this establishment and give it its glory and thanks it deserves.

The staff is very friendly, but the prices are the most ridiculous thing ever. I have a tiny chihuahua and for one tooth removal and plaque cleaning they are asking me for over 1600$, that's ridiculous. We are bringing our dog to this clinic since we got him for 13 years.The experience we have been subjected to could make anyone's heart cry.On Thursday we took him to the clinic because he could no longer stand, became very lethargic and unresponsive.We were told to bring him back if not better. His condition worsened and we took him back. He was admitted with the written guarantee we would pay $1000 stat and rest later on with the minimum of more than that plus extra per day, We paid $ 1000.00 stat. Dog belongs to my son Eric who moved to Ottawa for job. He called me to find out how was his condition. I called several times to find out but they would not tell me except we are very busy, call back.I did several times, same answer. They did not have time to tell me how our dog was.Next day on Saturday he rushed from Ottawa to clinic heart broken to see his dog Charlie Baboo before something happens as he was critically ill. He and his wife came home real panicky to say they did not allow them to see the dog because they were too busy. They begged this heartless receptionist they only want to see him and the did not need any tech or help. They would see him perhaps last time . But they were not allowed and told take your dog to Lachine Hospital. My wife Lise went and they told her take your unconscious dog but pay first. She paid. They were giving her Charlie Baboo in hand with I/V running.She came home to go with us so we can manage to bring the dog to Lachine hospital. We went to Lachine Hospital where we were received with love and our dog died there with dignity in the hands of a caring vet. We were hugged and comforted like family members. When we came home My son received an e-mail, there are visiting hours at clinic from 2.00pm to 4.00pm which we were never told, We were only shouted down. Can we tell our dear Charlie Baboo do not die as we can not see you before 2.00pm? They moved from old place to ultra modern fancy building with exercise treadmills. Does a dying dog need to exercise to develope a sexy body or die in peace with dignity? Even in Hospital for humans they relax rules and comfort visitors and let visit dying relatives in the middle of the night. So much for progress, so much for luxury at the expense of dignity of dying animals who are at the mercy of this sign of the time clinics, people's greed and total indifference to the feelings of owner of the pets.They got their money enough for sure, why they can't hire more staff to meet the needs? Do not worry on the day of judgement they would have their day and meet the same fate as our Charlie Baboo. Charlie Baboo dear, rest in peace. We love you very much. Sorry to subject you to lack of dignity at the hands of other people. One day they will face judgment for their callous actions.

My dog injured his paw and the vet/doctor was trying to con me into paying five grand for an unnecessary surgery. But they managed to squeeze out a thousand out of me to give my dog a cast that was poorly constructed and had no effect whatsoever. Brought my dog to another vet to follow up and to second opinion. They said that his bones are way too small and that the surgeon wouldn’t be able to operate anyway. The injury was minimal all along and that casting for this was futile. I’m surprised they have a high review. From my experience it’s totally not.

My dad's cat Arlo hurt his foot when he fell off a windowsill during a period when my dad was in the hospital. Arlo had some badly swollen toes and a gash almost an inch long that quickly developed signs of infection, that turned out to be pretty long and difficult to treat. Arlo needed to be boarded for over a week, given an IV, laser and hydrotherapy treatments, lab tests and two courses of antibiotics and steroids... Poor little dude. Everyone at Hopital Veterinaire de Pierrefonds were wonderful! They called me every day with detailed updates on his recovery, demonstrated a ton of sincere kindness and warmth, and looked for options to make the treatments less expensive as the days dragged on. My dad was able to bring Arlo home and continue the treatments on an outpatient basis, which was amazing, as once they were reunited, they both returned much more quickly to health.

My leopard gecko, Po, has been dealing with shedding issues, and it was rather difficult for me to find a vet who would see him in the West Island. My dog Grizzly (pug mix, kind of dumb) got into a bag of Reese's while we were preparing to move. He swallowed a bunch of them whole and my regular vet was closed for the day (Saturday). I called Pierrefonds Vet 30 minutes to close in a panic and they told me to come in. 5 minutes to close I walked in and they took amazing care of my dog, gave him an examination, food to fill his stomach, a shot of apomorphine to make him vomit, and cleaned up and made sure they got it all out (he'd also eaten two earplugs, big surprise). When I had to step out of the room because of the smell, they were completely understanding. They were respectful and really good with my dog. We were surprised when he was willing to eat more after he was done giving back the candy, and they mixed charcoal in with some wet food to absorb any toxins that might have leeched from the Reese's + wrappers into his system. The price for what they did was very reasonable and I'm completely happy with this vet. I really appreciate them taking my dog even though they were almost closed for the day. There wasn't any irritation or annoyance directed at me or my dog - they were very understanding and took care of him right away.

They put us into a small salon which made it very private and offered us water and if we needed anything to just come up or ring. This place might look impressive on the outside but there staff is incompetent I took my dog there on Sunday September 16 And was asked to fill out some forms then a vet in training ask me what was the problem I explained my dog was coughing and spitting out white flem she listened to his hart when I asked her to take his temperature she said she didn't know how and a vet will see him in 10 minutes I told her my dog is very playful and barks and could be contagious she told me don't worry a vet will see you shortly In the waiting room he spit out flem on the floor nobody picked it up for over 30 minutes after waiting over 90 minutes i insisted he see a vet or i was leaving Finally a vet examined him and concluded kenel cough and told me it would go away by itself i asked her some questions questions and take his temperature she said she had more urgent matters but if things got worse to call tomorrow The next day I called back and was told she was working i asked if she could perscibe some antibiotics because he was getting worse I was told she would call me back she didn't so i took him to a other vet the next day he was in terrible condition and needed intensive care in order to save his life because he had pneumonia it cost me thousands and I had to cancel my vacation plans costing even more DON'T UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BRING YOUR DOG TO THIS PLACE AND IF YOU DID PLEASE CONTACT THEM ASAP

I would never recommend this vet clinic. We went there late evening for a broken nail situation. Our dog was in pain and we didn't want to wait until the next day. Well, the consequences of this vet consultation were more serious to deal with than the broken nail itself and kept us awake / worried for the entire night. These are the facts: The vet recommended a "LIGHT sedation" (his exact words) in order to be able to check the dog's paw. The consultation itself was 5 minutes long, but we had to deal with the side-effects of the sedative and anti-sedation medication for 24 hours. Nobody warned us about possible side-effects, not a single word of caution. As soon as we arrived home our dog started hallucinating, whining, crying, pooping uncontrollably, running all over the place confused and angsty. There was no way to help him calm down, we couldn't even establish eye contact with him. Eventually, at 3am we were able to go to sleep but still, from time to time he would wake up and walk back and forth as if he saw ghosts. The next day I did some research trying to find out why this happened. Talking to other vets, I found out that there are many of them out there who refuse to use this particular sedative administered to my dog because of its unreliability in terms of side effects. Apparently, 7 out of 10 dogs experience the symptoms that our dog experienced. The vet demonstrated a high level of unprofessional conduct. First of all, he said the sedation would be light. It was anything but ... My dog's weight is hardly 30kg and he administered the dose for animals 28 to 42kg of weight. So he administered a high dose of a problematic sedative without ever trying or discussing alternatives (such as local anesthesia), while promising that the sedation would be "light and with no problems". Second, he never took the time to warn us on possible sedation side-effects. Consultation lasted 5 minutes and off he went. We had the impression that we were not important because my dog was not registered as patient in that hospital. So, no, never going back to this vet hospital.

We had an appointment today for my dog that had major issues with her paw but all the computer systems were down so they couldn’t take in a new patient. It was totally out of their hands but I was very upset because my dog is in pain. Instead of saying sorry can’t help, a very kind woman came out and spoke to us. She made a few phone calls and found another vet that could take us same day. She went above and beyond to make sure my dog was going to be okay even though they had nothing to gain from it.

I am usually someone who always writes positive reviews and when I find a place that does not give me great service I really try giving them a chance, but this place PLEASE AVOID. If you are looking for a veterinary that looks after your pets, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE, especially if it is an emergency. It is now the third or fourth time I tried getting someone (either a vet or even a technician) there to see my dogs and they always tell me they are too busy and then proceed to give me an appointment in about weeks time, and when I just showed up there (through emergency) they turned me away telling me that they have no one to see my pets. There were also times where I booked an appointment and when I called back to cancel it they told me no one even booked that appointment for me. Extremely unprofessional and not to mention VERY expensive. There are so many other veterinary clinics that are actually there to look after your loved ones because they care not simply to make money ....

This clinic is too expensive! Most of the vets there spend 5 minutes to check the patient and they charge around 70-75 for the visit. They aways give approximate prices for example a procedure can range from 500$ to 1500! If you however decide to go there, see Dr.Mass she is the best clinician, she is nice, listens carefully to your concerns and she is a really good diagnostician. Dr. Dunbar is a very good dr too however try to avoid Dr. Boisvert she is really incompetent. This dr should go back to school but wait...I don’t think they teach them common sense there!

For US petowners with AVID microchips: if you have moved to the West island suburbs, this hospital has the Micro Scanner III that will read your pet's chip... otherwise you will be out of luck at other veterinary offices/clinics. strike one: missdiagnose my dog with a heart murmur and wanted to bring in a cardiologist at a astronomical rate and all of this for a simple teath cleaning. strike two: went in for a check up, they charged me for an xray, blood test and finaly an ultrasound. never got back to me with results.. after 3 days of calling them and threaten them to take them to small claims court for a full reambursment ( $1400 ) they finaly called with the results. this place has gone downhill over the last 5 years.. time to move on to another vet. one that puts Animals before profit.

(Translated) Their priority is money !! I went to this clinic last December with my new dog that I adopted from a shelter. The visit was for a general check-up and to give 2 vaccines that she needed. The vet gave me other medicines to give her at home for fleas and heartworms. She also gave me a special shampoo, without telling me the price (at $ 46 !!!). The bill was much higher than I expected, I was taken by surprise when it came to footing the bill, especially with the price of this shampoo driving the total up. In February, I took out the bottle of shampoo in question, only to realize that the expiration date is February 2021 !! They sold it to me in December and is already expired! As I never needed to use it (my dog has no itching so I can use a regular shampoo bought at a pet store at a very reasonable price) I returned to the clinic to ask them to take the shampoo again ( which has never been used). They refused! So I asked them to at least exchange it for a bottle that has not yet expired and they still refused !!! This is utterly ridiculous, I can't believe the terrible customer service at this place! (Original) Leur priorité est l'argent!! Went there when i found a injured street cat that i kept in my home for 3 days I mention to the doctor that his leg hurts and he limps when he walks. But i told her he also jumps really high so there is no way his leg is broken. But she Really insist on doing xrays and than she also insist on sedating him . when i told her before hand i do not have much money its a street cat i found . Afterwards she pushed rabies vaccin which i said OK and she insist to do a blood test for this and that . and then she insist on doing other vaccines. She pushed me to pay for things that were not necessary. I have read some documentary about vets that over charge people and make people do unnecessary things Just to make money. there’s is a lack of transparency for the consultation price and prices for procedures ! They charge us everytime for the follow ups and in our case it has to be everyweek. For small eye drops they charged us 30$ without telling us what they would cost us before putting them in ! They never tell us about what to expect for fees, we always have to ask for it..., they gave us blood drops for my dogs eyes and didn’t tell us that they had to be refrigerated, so we basically ruined one week of treatment and potentially induced a bacterial infected serum in our dog eyes for one week. The prices for the same treatment were different from one week to another...Our dog was shaking and traumatized by all the procedures and they never gave her a treat, we had to ask them to give her one ! When the vet proposed different alternatives of treatment, always suggesting the more expensive one, she didn’t give us time alone to discuss it together... we were very uncomfortable. She told us that she didn’t see any improvement in our dog’s condition, but she was not the vet that made the follow ups the weeks before and we were told differently the week before. And we physically see an improvement in our dog in the last week. We feel like they only want to rip us off and we will definitely go elsewhere for a second opinion and for more transparency about the cost and treatment options.

Pierrefonds Animal Hospital were excellent in giving immediate attention to our cat, Doug. They discovered and correctly diagnosed an underlying heart condition that he had, at only 2.5 years old. Dr Tomasino specifically was so pragmatic and caring for him, and Dr Robert was the one to find the condition, when he originally came in for a check-up on his eye. When I went to visit Doug there, he was getting treatment from 3-4 employees simultaneously, giving him oxygen, monitoring his vitals, and administering medications. Our boy unfortunately passed away yesterday while under critical care at the CVL in Laval, and it's with a heavy heart that I write this. We know that Drs Tomasino, Robert and the whole team there did everything in their power to diagnosis and treat him, but his cardiac problems were too severe for him to continue. Thank you to the team there for all of your care and attention and we won't hesitate to be back for any of our animals.

Asked if there was a laxative I could buy, she told me only by prescription by a vet, by consultation from a vet.Since I couldn't come today, as I had to work until 10pm., I asked her if there was anything I could do until I could make an appointement. She told me that, no, had to consult and see a vet.She didn't tell me about the other options, such as Vaseline, Hairball Paste.When I asked if there was a high -fiber food for cats, she told me ,"no, only by prescription from a vet".I know that this is false, that you don't need a prescription from a vet to buy a high-fiber cat food.I repeatedly asked her if there was anything I can do for my cat until I brought her in for a consultation.She told me ,"no,", have to see the Doctor.Not impressed by the uncaring and unhelpful person who answered the phone today, when I called at 3:00pm.March 13,2016, who, by the way, didn't answer the phone until I was put on hold, by an answering machine, for ten minutes.Will take my cat elsewhere. IT WAS NOT A WEEK AGO, IT WAS A YEAR AGO, AND MY CAT HAS SEEN DIED UNDER THEIR CARE.Had no other choice but to go to them, since no other vet was open later. They made me sign a waiver for $800 , I left my cat overnight, as they told me she was too dehydrated, they couldn't draw blood, she would be giving fluids intravenously overnight, and they would draw blood for tests the next day.I called them the next day, they told me that nothing had been done, they had tried to call me and were waiting for me to tell them what to do.What? The plan was to draw blood from her the next day, take blood tests.Over $100.00 per day, and they hadn't done anything yet? In the end, my cat died, needlessly. Was given wrong medication, had to wait almost a week for the right meds, was charged for 3 cases of cat food, instead of 3 cans, was given a painkiller that is toxic for cats with renal failure, (which my cat had).My beautiful Moka DIED because of this clinic. I'm still receiving bills in the mail from this clinic, stating that I owe them $300 .I paid them $1,100. and they will not receive one penny more.Come on, unnecessary tests, like cancer tests, for a cat who is 23yrs? They pray on you when you're vulnerable. BEWARE. When I asked if they take payment plans,was told that,"We are not a financial intitution".

PART 1: One of the worst days of my life was the 26th of March. It was the day where I lost my best friend, my family member, my loving & beautiful dog. You can imagine how painful it is for anyone to lose a pet. It’s one of the worst experiences anyone can ever go through. And through it all, you expect a vet that is going to help make you feel comforted and cared for, during these painful experiences. And unfortunately, this was not the case. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this vet, during the final crucial moments before my dog’s passing. I write this review, to help other future owners of their dog babies, to be vigilant when choosing which vet to care for their animal. This place prioritizes above all things, money and profit. While my dog was minutes away from being put down (due to old age, and terrible heart conditions), the representatives of this place came up to me- with tears in my eyes, with a price catalogue of what type of urn I wanted. My dog wasn’t even gone yet, but they were already asking me how much I wanted to spend on my dogs passing. They seemed to not care, that I was about to lose my best friend and seemed more interested in how much money they were able to make from me in that moment. During the final moments with the vet before his passing, the vet seemed very disconnected from the sadness that I had and with the situation that was occurring. Someone choosing that profession, you should know in this job that empathy and sympathy go such a long way, which I didn’t feel already on many separate occasions with this vet. Also, Before they put my dog to sleep, they kept me in a room that was a showcase room of all the products they offer when dogs passed (urns, vases, footprint, other memory assets.. etc.. a bunch of things to sell- what I felt was a “business room”) Finally, the worst situation was after my dog was gone and choosing the course of action for his passing, we decided to cremate his body. My beloved animal, friend, and family member passed on a Thursday. I kept asking them about when I would receive his urn with his ashes, and they kept responding to me with little care or sentiment. They told me on the Thursday, that my dog would be sent to a cremation center in laval (Cremanimo in bois des filion) and would be sent to me as quickly as possible. Fast forward 5 days later, after many calls and complaints- I plead to them about WHEN I would receive my dog again, and they had informed me that he was actually being sent to a cremation center in Sherbrooke (almost 2 and a half hours away). They didn’t even have the decency to call me and my grieving family, to inform us that he would be sent elsewhere which would inevitably delay the process of us receiving his urn. We would not have known about this change of plans and delay, unless we called the cremation center ourselves. The vet in Pierrefonds had no care or empathy to inform us and to be honest about the actual length, location and TRUE delay of when I would be able to get the ashes of my family member. Had we had not called the cremation center, we would of never known. This meant that I wouldn’t receive my dog until 1-2 weeks. They lied to me and had no empathy or care to take care of my dog (and I’m sure many others) during these extremely difficult, grieving times. Why would they want to send their cremated dogs all the way to a cremation center called “Cremanimo” in Sherbrooke, 2 hours away + from the west island? Of course, outsourcing business in an area like Sherbooke definitely lowers their cost and increases their profit. Otherwise, why wouldn’t they use a location closer to their domicile branch in the west island? On that Monday (March 30th) after discovering the unfortunate news that we would not receive our dog for another 1-2 weeks. We were heartbroken that our dog would be in a freezer for another 1-2 weeks- we couldn’t sleep with the idea knowing that our family member would be mistreated. (PART 2 in picture)

I’ve been going to this vet for many years. Perhaps it’s the Pandemic, but they seem overwhelmed. Perhaps the practice has become too big and they can’t cope. Their service has deteriorated in the last while: it’s difficult to get timely appointments, the “emergency” clinic is always booked, there are often no technicians available to speak to to answer questions. For all this, their services are quite expensive (luckily I have pet insurance). However, I do like my dog’s vet. I’ve known her for many years.

Took my dog in last year because of a wasp sting on one side of her face. Had to wait about 25min and the doctor who was supposed to do a full check up (that I paid for!) took a look at my dog's face and ears and started talking down at me for not cleaning the ears better and for not having had my dog spayed. She gave my dog some unnecessary anti inflamatory pills ( the swelling was already almost gone) and charged me 110$ for this 5 minute interaction! I feel like I paid for listening to her judgemental comments, nothing more! Also, the consultation rooms are minuscule, we barely had space to turn around... Took my dogs to Timberlea after and have found a truly compassionate and reasonably priced doctor there!

I brought my rabbit ???? to this clinic and was very impressed! The place is impeccable and very cozy. They offer services for different animal kinds. They keep a cute little board at reception with the names of the animals having an appointment during the day.

Dr.Massé was incredible with our cat. She was very friendly, empathetic, knowledgeable , kind and honest. My cat usually doesn't like strangers but took a liking to her immediately. She explained everything in detail and took the time to make sure we understood. There is no question about how dedicated she is to her "patients". I just wish I could find a doctor like her , for me!

Love this hospital!!! Dr Erdman is a wonderful and compassionate doctor and the staff is very friendly and helpful! I have been bringing my cats here for over 20 years and have always been very happy with the care and attention shown to them. Also they have extended hours and emergency walk in which is very helpful. I would definitely recommend this animal hospital!!
