Thank you so much for saving my George! Dr. Aziz is such an amazing veterinarian. It was a rough road for George but he’s so much better and happier now. I am so happy to have my kitty back! I’m glad I decided to get the surgery instead of putting him down. ????????☺️ I think he’s a much better cat now too. My cat was very sick we didn't know what was wrong. We called many places but many didn't answer or couldn't because they were booked. Dog and cat clinic took us in without question. Super friendly staff and very caring to the animal and the owners. Dr. Nick was the vet I had that day and he was super nice , understanding. There prices are very good and affordable. They even called me a couple days later to see how my cat was doing. Long story short if your looking for a good and affordable place to go for your fur babies this is this the place to go.

Our vet clinic that we go to in Niagara Falls is closed, and we wanted to check our dog asap. The clinic is very responsive and got us a spot right away. The staff are friendly, and Dr. Haidy is super nice! I would likely recommend this office! :)

We have been with the dog and cat clinic for almost 2 years now. We had concerns with our little puppy and with all the covid stuff going on in 2020 they were the only ones who would take our little girl in. Two years later and Two dogs later, we wouldn't go anywhere else! Amazing client services having Saturdays available for appointments and later hours has made it easier for us to access care for our fur babies. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you for your amazing care. We have had several vets as our dog has many allergies and issues. We tend to be in about once every two months with either skin flare ups or ear infections or anal glands, lol you name it we tend to have had some version of it. We were using allergy shots and steroids to manage his allergies but he was still having severe yeast infections and chewing his paws raw. We got talking to someone at pet value and they recommended we try Dr. Aziz. This would have been 7th vet. The original clinic we went to had several vets cycle through and the new vets were very condescending yet never looked at our 2” file on a 3.5yr old dog. I was not impressed that they questioned my attention to my dog when I was spending $60-80 every 5-6 weeks at there clinic. We tried two more vet clinics before we found our forever vet. Dr. Aziz is amazing his staff are beyond fantastic. They call and check up on your pouch they constantly make you feel like you know your dog best and if you say something isn’t right they make room for you to come in. We have gone a few times at closing and never been turned away. They are the best vet at super reasonable prices. We are so happy to have this clinic. Give them a try I promise you will not regret going there.

I would like to thank all of the amazing wonderful staff at the Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara. If it wasn't for them and the outstanding care that they provide, my wonderful rescue kitty would not be here today. The organization and staff go above and beyond to ensure that EACH animal receives the best quality of care possible. They look after both the animal and the owner. This week I had the absolute joy of going to the vet for a checkup, to find out that after months of having a cast on, we were able to remove his cast! With tears in my eyes the staff cheered and hugged me. It has been quite a journey and I could not imagine enduring this process without them. Between phone calls on holidays, long weekends and DAILY calls when he was staying there, they were always compassionate and willing to go the extra mile. They work hand in hand with providing information to the pet owner, to ensure that the individual understands and comprehends the medical needs the pet requires. A million thank you’s to Aziz and all of the vet techs, you saved my handsome little boy. From this process, I have switched all of my pets to this clinic, as I put all my trust in the care that they provide.

I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they have done for my family. Originally I found this clinic through a facebook ad and I saved the ad via screenshot just in case. What prompted me to visit was unfortunately an emergency on a holiday. That day didn't have a good outcome but the staff was amazing in helping us through a very difficult time. We may not always like the diagnosis or the outcome but life is unfortunately unfair at times. Our most recent visit with our dog during covid was difficult but the staff took care of everything amazingly. Communication was great. It makes me feel a little bit better handing off a family member who cannot speak to staff I wholeheartedly trust. Thank you.

I cannot speak highly enough of The Dog and Cat Clinic in St. Catharines. For starters, they saved my dog's life. I was turned away from two other clinics who said they could not treat my puppy. But while I waited at the emergency clinic (where I was quoted upwards of $5k), I decided to make one more call, and despite being the middle of covid, and their being fully booked because it was only days after Christmas, they heard my desperate pleas and told me to come in. Hunter was hospitalized for days. I called incessantly for updates on his condition, and every single time, I was greeted with the kindest words and never an ounce of impatience at my nagging. In fact, I was encouraged to call as often as I wanted. Not only did they treat Hunter like my family, they treated him like theirs too. Have you ever heard of a dog, locked up at the vet for 4 days, on the verge of death, who LOOKS FORWARD to going back?? Hunter bursts through the door at every visit to shower everyone with kisses. He loves them, and they adore him. I could not possible ask for more. I can also say that they are very fairly priced. I paid a fraction of what the emergency clinic would have cost me. I can't compare them to local clinics as I'm new to the area, but compared to clinics where I'm originally from in Toronto, their fees are extremely fair. Hunter and I are so lucky to have found the incredible staff at The Dog and Cat Clinic. If you are looking for a new vet, or a second opinion, do not hesitate to call them. They are, quite simply, the best.

Excellent facility, Dr Aziz is an honest and caring Vet. Not out to do unnecessary tests or recommend expensive procedures, I have been going to vets over 30 years with both dogs and cats and have not found one better than Dr Aziz. He is absolutely fantastic.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Aziz a number of years ago when I had trapped a lost Rescue dog for a client. What really impressed me was his genuine care for the dog. He was gentle in his manners and touch with the dog and so very extremely thorough examining every inch of her. He was also "off the clock", it was after hours at that time and when we contacted him to let him know we had the dog and were on our way, he was there and waiting. Since those days, he has become my personal Veterinarian for my own dogs and I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a great clinic. The staff get to know you personally and your pet. I have bought countless pups into the Clinic in need of medical attention with the client and he still has that same consistent care and attention to every one of them. I can't say enough good about The Dog and Cat Clinic and Dr Aziz, his wife and the staff, your pet would be in capable, loving hands if you need a Vet.

We had just moved to the area and noticed our cat Orion was not doing well. I was able to make an appointment easily with the Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara. We were seen with compassion and understanding, when it was discovered that Orion was very ill. Everything was explained and the pricing was fair. I will be bringing my other pets to this location. After weeks of trying to find our cat Sweety a new vet, they were quick to reply and also sent the fees along with their initial email. It made things so much less stressful for trying to plan our finances for the appointment. On our appointment day we were greeted right away and within 5 minutes brought into the examining room. The vet was thorough in her exam and confirmed my sweet girl had an ear infection in both ears and not mites like I had originally thought. I also originally planned to have her shots caught up the same appointment, but the caring staff there let me know that because she was fighting off the ear infection they did not want to put her immune system under any more stress and we would book another appointment in the future. The prices were extremely reasonable for the exam + medication and I am so pleased we were able to get her an appointment. I 100% recommend! Thank you again for getting us an appointment so quickly so our Sweety-Pie can get back to feeling like herself!

My dog required a surgery cost $5000 at another vet and I couldn't afford it , Dr Aziz gave me a great deal that I could afford and he treated my dog like his own . the surgery went perfectly and he met with me the weeks after for free recheck to monitor his progress also his staff is very friendly , I would definitely recommend this clinic .

My Yorkie pup needed surgery and, as expected, I was extremely nervous and worried. From the start, the entire team were very knowledgeable, caring and patient. From Dr. Nick’s constant attention and answers to my never ending questions each time Maximus comes in, to Dr. Aziz’s careful and compassionate care during his surgery, to the extremely detailed and patient attention the front team gave us. They all receive a very well-deserved and earned thank you from me! I could not be more grateful for how well they all cared for Maximus leading up to the surgery, during the surgery, and during his post-op care. Thank you for keeping him safe, making him better, and keeping us calm during our worry the entire process. It is very evident to see you all truly care about your patients and their parents(owners). Many many thanks and applauds go to you, Dr Nick and your entire team! As this was an unexpected surgery, the no doubt high cost had me hesitant to go forward and worried about how I’d manage that. But they were very understanding and reasonable with their pricing. Made cash out time much easier! I highly recommend everyone take their furry loved child to this clinic for the best, compassionate and reasonably-priced care!

I truly cannot say enough good things about this clinic, the staff and for Dr.Aziz who saved my cat a few weeks ago. I came to this clinic when my cat, Milo, had been sick multiple times and was refusing to drink/eat. It was then discovered that he had indeed eaten something he shouldn't have, and needed immediate emergency surgery. Dr.Aziz and staff were able to move around schedules and prioritize the urgency of the situation to save Milo, after carefully explaining everything to me and coming up with a reasonable payment plan with me. I feel as though if I had gone anywhere else, they would not have been anywhere near as understanding, compassionate and willing to help me and Milo. If I ever need assistance again, I wont go anywhere else but to this clinic. Thank you again for all your genuine concern and help with treating animals!!

I recently brought my new puppy for his first check up. It’s been a year since I had been because my previous dog had passed away. There are no words to explain how absolutely fantastic they were with him during the last stages of his life so I couldn’t imagine taking my new guy anywhere else but I didn’t expect anyone to remember who I was - I mean they have how many people coming in and it had been a year, but I was so wrong. They remembered me, my family and my boy and we’re so excited to meet the new addition. They make us feel like family and I can’t express how wonderful of a feeling that is and that doesn’t even take into account the Dr. Aziz is incredibly talented and skilled at what he does!! My first visit with Dr Aziz was so pleasant. He took the time to explain my sick cat Jerry’s situation and answered all of my concerns about treatment. I didn’t feel rushed. The girls in the reception area are friendly and polite. Their prices are affordable and the whole staff seem very companionate about the care of their patients. Pt black bear pt standard poodle. Now that I have your attention, my 130lb (before rapid weight loss) Bernese and Std. Poodle ate some unmentionables and could not keep food down for approx 4days. I live outside of the city and was visiting, Nick and co. got me in that afternoon, when 'nothing' in TO was available that morning. It was a wonderful experience during a trying time. Fortunately after x-rays/barium and gastro food he is on the mend. Thankfully no surgery was required - they provided me with all options - our family member was in the most professional hands on short notice. Highly recommend this clinic, the entire crew were amazing.

If there was a negative star option, I would have used it. This clinic is terrible, there is a reason you have to wait for appointments at other clinics in the area; it is worth waiting to receive better treatment. I was very specific when making the appointment for my dog; I was 24hrs out of a leg cast and unable to drive or stand for long periods. I made them aware I would be using a car service and that it was very important we be seen on-time & I had to pick-up a prescription for my other dog and they said it would be ready at the desk. I arrived a few minutes before my 11am appt, checked in and the first red flag was that they did not have a room open and asked me to wait in the waiting room. 15min later we were shown to a room and told it would not be long. At 11:30am, 30min after the appt time, still no vet. I went to reception to tell them I had to go, the vet was there and when he heard about the wait time, he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I then asked to just pay for the medication so I could leave and they had to go have it dispensed; it was not ready at the desk as they said it would be. With three dogs, I have been to many clinics and this is easily the worst. Response: Your reply would make sense if your team did one simple thing; make your clients aware there was an emergency or that their appt could be delayed due to an emergency. I was very clear when I made the appt and if I had been made aware of the possibility of a delay, it would have been my decision. At no time while I was in the clinic did anyone (including the vet) mention there was a emergency patient. What I meant about waiting at other clinics is waiting for an appt. I called on Thursday and was booked in for an appt the next day; at most other clinics it would have been a few days wait because they respect their clients time and don’t stack appts to make more money. Lastly, your shameless pitch re: an emergency patient sounds false because the vet had time to stand there, hear about my situation then shrug & walk away without so much as an apology. Do better.

Our cat was diagnosed by Dr. Aziz with a pretty rare skin cancer. Other vets had thought it was an allergy, but he knew it was something more right away, did a biopsy, and when faced with a bit of a complicated diagnosis, he developed a treatment plan that has helped her to continue her happy life for five years now! He genuinely cares for all of our cats, remembers their medical and behavioural needs, and always explains all diagnosis and care thoroughly so I understand completely. We are so happy with Dr. Aziz. His whole team at the Dog and Cat Clinic is professional, empathetic, and knowledgeable as well. As his practice has grown, gaining more staff and a larger clinic location, we have been a bit nervous whether the quality of care would be maintained, but we are always welcomed warmly, given top notch help and a fair price for the care of our pets.

Wonderful & caring staff. Update: we had to rush our cat in for an emergency stay and surgery on Saturday evening. The clinic took us in without question, stayed past hours to help us, and gave our cat the best possible care when we couldn’t be there. Dr. Aziz and the team saved our cats life, and we could not be more grateful for them. If I could update my 5 stars to give them another 5, I would. The assistants and girl at the front desk were nice. The vet didn't seem that bad but misdiagnosed my cat. It seemed more like they were interested in my money than caring about my cat. 3 weeks later I had to put her down, she had cancer and a massive tumour according to a different vet who euthanized her. Edit- Save your lies for somebody else, this is an honest review. You must have reviewed the wrong file. I don't appreciated spending $700 at your clinic and being talked to this way. I spent about $700 on xrays, blood tests and medication. All you wanted was more money, that's why you wanted me to come in for more "diagnostics". Also I rushed my previous cat to your location in an emergency because your clinic had a HUGE sign saying "Emergency clinic" but you were not open which wasted precious time to save my cats life, who ended up dying that night... You guys told me if I brought Rhea back in you would charge me AGAIN for blood tests after I had given her the medication. Who can afford 1000 + on just diagnostics, give me a break. If you gave me a proper diagnosis which the other vet did in about 5 minutes, I could have saved my money, saved my cat from suffering for a few more weeks hoping your medication would help her, and just put her out of her suffering. Keep lying and I will come to your clinic and have a discussion about this because I don't appreciate you lying about how much I spent at your clinic.

Through the advice of a good friend, i sought comfort and relief when i knew it was time for my best good cat too move on.. I was really relieved when Dr. Nick came into the room to accomodate the process. I have known Dr. Nick for a while and he even did a house call for me many years ago. Dr. Aziz and all his staff are an important part of our family! We have five animals and take them all to Dr. Aziz. I never needed an emergency appointment until last night (knock on wood), when my far-too-adventurous kitten broke his tail and ended up requiring an amputation. Thank God for this group of people that love our furbabies like we do! Thanks to them, Squeak is now resting peacefully at home! Thank you! Added: Again and again, Dr. Aziz takes care of our furbabies as if they were his own. My 8 year old dog ended up with a uterine infection, Dr. Aziz was so prompt in dealing with it, stopping the infection and saving my girls life. His front line staff and his wife, Cathrine, are so good at dealing with my nerves too! Not once did I ever feel ridiculed or ashamed of being so emotional about my dogs condition, they all gave me compassion, allowed me to feel and express my emotions, and took the time to lift my hopes! My girl recovered so very well too! Again, if you want someone who is going to love your animal like you do, this is where you will find just that! I can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done for us!

As a former veterinary technician, I have to say this is a wonderful clinic. They are extremely accommodating and helpful. All of the staff is very kind, pleasant and polite. The doctors are great. I had to euthanize my cat after moving into the area. The clinic closest to me was unhelpful, refused to euthanize my cat because I wasn't a client there. Working at a number of clinics, that was unbelievable to me. My cat was very sick and it happened very suddenly. Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara got me in very quickly, testing was done right away and he did not have to suffer. I really think they are an amazing clinic - amazing hours too! Just like finding a great doctor for myself, it's so important to feel confident in the care and clinic I bring my kitties to. Very glad I found them. 100% recommend!

I'll start from the beginning, We started coming here 2 years ago since my dog was a pupper. We had many good visits and my dog was looked after professionally. They knew my dog and seemed to care about her and her anxiety. Little info about my dog, she's a big sweetheart and when she's home, she is the most loving and sweet dog. She acts "tough" and protects our home. BUT unfortunately she has one of the worst cases of anxiety I have seen in a dog. She is terrified of cars and trucks, loud noises and new people. Thankfully she's not aggressive but instead she ducks down and shakes and tries to hide. she is scared of ceiling fans and other over head objects and she will not move if she is scared. She won't go on walks because she is scared to walk down the sidewalk. It's alot of work but we love her and will do anything to make her comfortable. So, getting to the bad part of this review.....something has changed in the last month's, they aren't the same anymore. I don't feel as though they care about my dog just my money.. so anyway, My dog has a injury to her paw. It's a small bump that continues to get ripped open because she plays rough at home. So my wife called multiple times was put on hold (which we understand because of covid) but then after being hung up on ,finally gets through to someone who knows nothing about what my wife just told someone else. No notes in my dogs file nothing. So we figure out, the bump needs to come off. They offer antibiotics but they said it most likely needs to be removed, so we made it clear again that she has bad anxiety and we don't want to bring her in if it's not going to get removed. The Dr told us "yes bring her in and I will sedate her and remove it" no price or nothing... so we bring her in and we had to literally drag my poor dog out of the truck she was terrified but we knew it had to be done, Instead we stressed my dog out, dragged her out of the truck with some strangers and left her in there, for them to tell us they don't think they will remove it because it's a whole procedure.. so we tell them no, you told us you were going to remove it and now we have stressed her out for no reason at all. So what's the options now? They tell us that the antibiotics would be fine and they are going to ask what else we can do. So why did I bring her? Then they leave us standing outside with my dog inside stressing out. If you're not removing it, then why keep my dog in there, finally they come out (without my dog) and tell us that they will remove it for over a $700!??? Wait what? $700 lol we got her spayed there and a tooth removed for $605 I don't get it.. they were mad at us because we were frustrated because they stressed my dog out for no reason, so they over priced us like crazy to remove a skin tag the size of a ladybug. We have EVERY receipt from the day we went there. And the spay, blood test, tooth removal, micro chip and some cream all on the same bill is less expensive then removing a tiny skin tag!? Lost a customer for good. You need to re evaluate your prices and start getting organized. No one knew what they were talking about, noone told us a price and they didn't care about my dogs anxiety.

I have been a client of the Dog and Cat Clinic, (formerly Cat Clinic of Niagara) for 14 years. Although always generally satisfied, when Dr. Aziz took over the practice in 2015, things changed for the better. He opened up the practice to dogs and although I am a cat owner, I felt this addition was spot on. At the time, we were the owners of three fur babies: Marlee, Chico and Xena. From the first appointment, I knew my cats were in the presence of a master and his team. Through careful examination, trouble shooting and patience, Dr. Aziz treated, cared for and worked to save my cat, Marlee. Even when it was apparent she couldn't be saved, he respectfully took us through the process of euthanizing our beloved pet. He treated her (and us) with kindness, respect and a gentle bedside manner that only comes with a lifelong dedication to his vocation. For the last year, Dr. Aziz and his first class staff have helped diagnose, care for and work WITH ME to keep my other 14 year old cat, Chico, in optimal health. And it hasn't been easy! Options are always given, treatment plans are advised but not forced and the amount of faith and trust I have in Dr. Aziz and his team of genuine and caring human beings is beyond words. Chico is living out his senior years with the highest quality care. Dr. Aziz never stops. He is constantly striving for excellence and continues to acquire new specialties and further his knowledge. This place is top notch and extremely professional. They are newly AAHA accredited too. So congratulations on that. It was my first visit but I was highly recommended to take my French bulldog baby there from many on a Facebook group. I still wanted to do a telephone call pre assessment. She was awesome as I had which felt like 15 questions to ask. It confirmed everything I had read. They send email reminders before your appointment, which is nice also. Day of, everything was smooth. As soon as the vet came into the room he looked at my puppy and said "first thing I need to do is pick this guy up and give him a hug".... ugh my heart! The vet also let me ask and talk about a few new mom concerns, which I had a list on my phone. I appreciate the time he took and I never felt like he had to be elsewhere. I'm excited to have my doggo in their care. I have such confidence that they will assest my doggo individually according to his situations. Thank you very much for such a great experience!

Love this clinic--it's the perfect blend of excellent clinical services with human compassion. My three older cats all have various health (and behavioural!) issues and the staff at the clinic have been superb. They have caught a variety of issues early on through their screening (triaditis, cancer, etc.) and I believe that they have really extended the lives of my cats. . .with two at 16 years old and one at 11 years old, it's important to me that they get the best care--and this clinic def provides it! Dr. Hilton, Dr. Teed and Dr. Mark have been just excellent. One of my furbabies had cancer (lymphoma) and they were the ones that caught it and arranged for her to get treatment at Guelph. . .they even arranged for her to come to local check ups so that she wouldn't have to have a stressful car trip. . .they were always on the phone to the cancer experts and kept a very careful eye and sent all their records to the cancer specialist. They were always willing to consult via phone and really helped me through what was a very emotionally stressful time. When cancer finally took my one cat, they were all so compassionate! They really understood how difficult it was to lose a pet and their support was incredible. Jessica (front desk), Shari and Michelle (vet tech) both provided so much support and they reached out to me after my cat's passing. The prices are also reasonable, too--I was used to vet prices in larger cities and their price for services is really good. They also have an ultrasound machine in house which is great--really cuts the cost compared to having to go to the University of Guelph or get in a specialist. I highly recommend them and trust them with the lives of my very precious cats! Update: One of my cats had a stroke, and Dr. Hilton and the staff caught it right away. Their treatment saved his life, and he is back to being happy and healthy!

Anyone who thinks otherwise or claims to have a bad experience with anyone in this office must be a negative person because they are all incredible. My fur babies (5 of them) have been treated with the best care anyone could imagine. I made the switch when I seen how amazing Dr. Aziz was on a difficult house call putting my sisters beloved dog to rest. Since I have brought my two pit bull and now three bengals to him. I am cheerfully greeted and treated like family. His associate Dr. Noufeer has to give me a hard diagnosis of one of my bengals. He handled himself and went above and beyond and continues to do so to prolong a healthy life for my baby. After receiving such news I was asked to wait while Dr. Aziz was just getting out of surgery and wanted to check on me and reassure me we would all as a team do everything we could to keep my baby healthy and help me in anyway I needed. His gesture was beyond ‘customer service’ that is how you treat family and that is how I felt, he genuine cares about each of his patients. Fur or not (haha)! I been going to this clinic for years for my dog, and before there was a male vet that worked there which was nice and caring, a new vet women started there and she is extremely unprofessional and on a power trip. My partner and I just spent a large amount of money on our dog and the same problem reoccurred- so I called the clinic to understand why this happened again. The doctor came on the call and I could tell she was already annoyed when she explained it, I went to talk and she cut me off in the middle of my sentence because I was saying, some vet clinics (not this clinic) but some rip people off and I wanted to make sure if we were going to re test our dog again we weren't just going through the same cycle over and over again, but before I could even say that she cut me off and talked over me. My partner the next day went to take our dog to AGAIN spend money to re-test him for the same issue and they told her I was not allowed to call or step foot into the clinic, as if I had threatened the doctor or called her names or even yelled at her which NONE of them I did. As a owner who has spent thousands of dollars I wanted to make sure my dog was getting the proper treatment which I think is my RIGHT, and yet I have been exiled from the clinic like a deranged individual all because I wanted to know what I was spending on. This is unprofessional and disgraceful. Whoever owns this clinic should be aware of the treatment here, if we disagree with the vet or even question the doctor we are exiled. Unreal. Shame on the doctor.

When I moved to St. Catharine's four and a half years ago I had every intention of staying with the wonderful veterinarian we had in Richmond Hill. Shortly after moving here we had a bit of an emergency with one of our dogs. I called the Dog and Cat clinic of Niagara and they had us come in right away. I made an appointment with Dr Nick. After a short amount of time he diagnosed Roxy with a swollen gland. He prescribed medicine and $250 later I was on my way. I was very disappointed to see that the medicine did not work. When calling back I was put on hold for 10 minutes and hung up on. I called back again and spoke with someone. She told me she would speak with the vet and call me back. 2 hours later (past closing time) I called and was told the vet will call me around 9 am. At 6 pm the next day I called back and was told there’s nothing they can do for me. I can book another appointment if I wanted. I explained that I’ve already spent $250 with them and had no results. They said there’s nothing they can do for me. Do I want to book another appointment? Now I’m worried the issue has been pro longed and I’m left going to see another vet. Extremely un professional. Just a money grab really. They do not care about your animals.

We have seen many changes , but the best change has occurred since Dr Aziz took over the practice. He and his staff are without doubt the most caring and considerate group of practitioners; they take the time to listen, they are genuinely empathetic, very knowledgeable and do not “talk down” to the pet parents. Our cat Puffy has received the most excellent care, at very reasonable fees; we feel there is no better place in the city to take your cat or dog should they have any needs. Have went to this vet for the past 2 years until today. The vet was over 25 minutes late for the appointment. Not one employee said the vet would be late. Upon arrival into the room im told to put my cat on the scale I struggled to get her out of the carrier on the small chairs given which dont even fit my cat carrier. I then weigh my cat and expect to turn around and set her down on the table instead im pointed to the chairs. I sat there waiting with my cat wrapped around my neck terrified due to not being able to put her down. If a professional is going to be late for a scheduled appointment I expect to be told and not left sitting in a unready room stuck staring at the dirty vents. I would highly suggest a vet that values your time and money.

I have waited three weeks to give a calmer review after my bad experience. My cat developed a bladder infection on Dec. 17/19. After his assessment and testing with Dr. Nick at the clinic, my cat was given a 14 day antibiotic injection. Plus, Dr. Nick told me that because my cat had a high red blood cell count, that my cat would need an additional oral ANTIBIOTIC for 10 days. The drug given to me.was Gabapentin .5ml twice a day for 10 days. As instructed, that night at home I started the oral Gabapentin. By Saturday December 21st, 4 days later, my cat received 9 out of the 20 doses. He had became lethargic, wouldn’t eat, slept too much, was unbalanced when he walked. He was not getting better at all. I Googled the drug Gabapentin then. It said it was a drug for PAIN, and was also prescribed for seizures! No where did it say it was an antibiotic as I was told. I took my sick cat back to the Clinic on Sunday December 22. This time we saw Dr. Gwany. When I asked if I should be giving him this drug any more, he shook his head, said no and moved it away. He gave my cat an appetite stimulant and subcutaneous fluids because he hadn’t been eating in the last couple of days. He offered to do more blood tests but I declined. I took my cat home. I had to nurse my drugged cat back to health for the next week. He gradually got this Gabapentin drug out of his system and started to eat and act himself. He fortunately did get over the bladder condition with the injected antibiotic, but he certainly did NOT need the pain killer drug, which, if I had continued dosing him with it, may have had much more serious consequences for my cat. It is my belief the drug Gabapentin was wrongly dispensed for this condition. I got a customer service call from the clinic a week or so later, and I did voice my displeasure with the clinic to the tech that called. Now I am writing my review. I give two stars for curing the bladder infection, but no more than that. I will not be returning to the Dog and Cat Clinic for fear of another wrongly dispensed drug in future.

A little over a year ago, my cat was hit by a pick up truck. Dr. Aziz allowed me to rush my boy in, and because of his wonderful advice my boy made a complete recovery. We have been trying for months to find a solution to what was wrong with our cat, and every vet out there just prescribed medication after medication. We decided to get a second option and came to dr. Aziz. Right away he took all the tests, and figured out within an hour what was wrong. More importantly though, Dr Aziz was incredibly compassionate and caring, which stood out immediately. You can tell he cares for his patients. He took his time explaining everything to us, and despite giving us bad news about our cat, he tried to give us every possible solution. The staff is also so kind, and patient which makes a difference. They called us daily to give updates, and overall showed such professionalism and kindness. I made a huge mistake bringing my dog to this clinic. Its all about money. I have been here 3 times and every time they are just billing you for whatever they can. This time, after the visit with the doctor, she said she is going to flush my dogs ear and put medication in his ear, i waited for 40 minutes and another girl came with the bill. I said i am still waiting for the ear gets flushed..... She had no idea. The doctor came and tried to bring excuses.... I told them just give me the bill. It took them another 10 minutes for it. I have been going to Dr. Aziz for veterinary care for the past couple of years. He, as well as his awesome staff, have always treated my kitties and I very well. I recently encountered a bit of a scary situation as a pet owner - my one cat had to have an exploratory surgery. Took my cat here and sadly the poor guy was very sick and had made the very hard choice to end his pain. Let me tell you the professionalism is incredible. The doctor took his time to explain the situation and offered indirect advice what would be best for him. We did not feel rushed to make the choice, they gave us all the time we needed. I was recommended to this clinic by my hairdresser, he told me about Dr. Aziz and that he was fantastic and so were the rest of the team, When my babies Chloe and Missy needed their vaccines, off we went to try this vet who came so highly recommended. I was not disappointed at all, so caring. I had to take Chloe back a few months later as she was not herself, after several tests and x rays my furbaby had a heart murmur and was quite unwell, they took such care of her and phoned me to check up on her, my own doctor does not do that. I recently had another issue but once again same wonderful care from them all. I cannot recommend this clinic enough and I am someone that is usually very critical, but not with them. If you want the best for treatment and caring, this is your clinic.

I started taking my dogs Tino and Keya to Dr. Aziz a few months ago, when my old vet was robbing me of all my money, and were charging for outrageous things (changing my dogs bandages after a $1,100 surgery, etc). My dog Keya is a rescue and does not like ANYBODY I mean anybody other than myself. She was scared at first and is still a little nervous but the staff at Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara are so patient and understanding with her that it makes her feel so at ease. My dog Tino gets nervous as well, but every time that he needs medical care, he always leaves a very happy pup! Being a student, but also someone who's obsessed with my dogs, it is often really difficult to pay for medical bills for my dogs. Dr Aziz and his team do their very best to try to keep costs low and only do tests that are absolutely necessary when helping my dogs. They obviously will run a full test if needed, but are honest in saying what is absolutely necessary. I also love the fact that they are on call for emergencies and usually can see my puppies in the same day if it's a serious issue. They are excellent in that they do not talk down to you when you accidentally leave chocolate within your dog's reach, or when they pick up something on a walk that you didn't notice. I highly highly recommend this veterinarian as there are few and far between like Dr. Aziz. Thanks for always being there for my babies! I will come to you so long as I am in the Niagara region.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I rushed my beloved 13 year old dog in when he collapsed and stopped breathing. From the moment I got there until i left every single staff member was nothing shy of amazing. When I had thought my dog was going to make it every one of the staff members came to me and were bugging me and comforting me while I cried. I've never been to a vets office where every single person cared as much as them. Doctor Aziz was unbelievable with us as well, he was honest, thorough and you could tell ye genuinely cared. Which in veterinarians today, is extremely rare. He explained in great depth his findings abd provided his honest recommendations and not for one moment did I get the feeling he was jusy trying to trying to get more money (unfortunately it seems like that is a common problem and feeling I get from most vets) I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is, just know every single person there cares and it's about the well being of each animal vs a "business" where money is to be made. There was something about him that you could just feel his love of animals. We did lose touch for a bit but I had a dog with a bad case of cherry eyes in both eyes. Other vets aside from charging outrageous amounts would only do 1 eye at a time. I was then reunited with him at this location. She was a blessing she had us in within minutes. They where amazing to deal with. Had our baby stable an ready for surgery. They allowed myself an children to be with her up till surgery an called us to come visit with her an speak with the surgeon following surgery. I was able to call multiple times for updates was never made to feel as if I was a bother. They always said call when ever you have a spare moment give a call. They made us feel so much better with our situation. I have never dealt with such a loving an caring team. From our family thank you for saving our fur baby we will only be going to The Dog an cat clinic of Niagara from now on.
