Will surely be switching to this clinic as I have recently moved to the area. No other clinic would assist me in removing a missed porcupine quill from the emergency vet trip last night, the ladies squeezed me in between surgeries and were so friendly and caring for my dog and I. I will highly recommend this vet to everyone, and after seeing their reviews and the service I revived today I will most definitely be returning! (Hopefully on less painful terms for the dog!) This clinic is that one-in-a-million place that you thank your lucky stars when you find it. My dog had an issues that I was quoted $1,800 to fix at the vet off Sackville Drive. I went to Basinview on a recommendation and was provided with a $30 solution for the same problem. If you want a fair opinion without fear of being ripped-off this is your place. Dr. Yvonne and all of the staff are amazing!

Great vet service and so close to home. My senior dog Perrita has seen Dr. Yvonne Giles for some minor ailments (hot spots, etc) since we relocated to NS and we've always been so very happy with the great proactive care; but last night she and the rest of her staff went above an beyond-Perrita tore her CCL at 5 pm and Dr. Giles saw her at 7 pm. Everyone is so kind and caring, Dr. Giles takes the time to discuss her exam findings and treatment recommendations very well, and she listens to every concern that this pet mom had. I'm looking forward to the time that I can meet everyone face to face we can all be in the room together!

As a new golden retriever owner I was very careful in choosing my vet. I used to go to Basinview a long time ago and the service is still amazing. I have nothing but praise for for the care my new pup (Gemma) has been getting. She has been here twice in the last two weeks and she absolutely loves everyone she's met here. On the first visit they just fit me in to ensure my little Gemma got her flea and tick meds asap. Miranda and Chad at this time couldn't have been any better to her and me for that matter. On the second visit Dr. Patterson and her assistant, (Renee?) were very helpful in explaining the vaccine process and Gemma couldn't get enough of them. My dog was so happy both times she tried to run back in when she got outside. They are all so kind and loving here. I highly recommend them and couldn't be happier with their services. As most of the other reviews have stated, their customer service is amazing, and their veterinary services are fantastic! I woke up yesterday morning to my canary, Peach, showing sudden signs of feeling unwell. I brought her to the Basinview Animal Hospital, and everyone was so kind and helpful. Dr. Amanda was great with Peach, and we were sent home with antibiotics for her. We checked in on her this morning, and she's already hopping around and more active! I couldn't be more grateful for Basinview Animal Hospital. Their prices were even lower than I expected, but still reasonable for veterinary services. They even called this morning to check in and see how Peach is doing. I would absolutely recommend checking Basinview Animal Hospital out for your next vet appointment!

This clinic had an opening for a regular senior checkup for my bunny. Professional, allowed us to take her bonded bunny parter and thoroughly enjoyed seeing them hop around the exam room. Due to covid-19, you have to wait in the parking lot and the staff come out and get your animal. They call you and run everything by you and provide free quotes for potential future work. Recommended.

Much praise for the staff at Basinview Animal Hospital! I had to leave my kitty, Leia there for the day recently, which is always hard on both owner and cat but she was so well received by all the staff there and treated like the little princess she is! The staff (Dr's, technicians and administration) were all SO friendly, very knowledgeable, answered every question I had with no hesitation and even provided me with tips that I would never have thought to ask for! They made the whole experience a pleasurable one as opposed to the ordeal it could have been. I cannot recommend these guys more strongly. You will not leave disappointed!

Basinview is, by far, the best veterinary clinic I've had to deal with in my dogs 8 years. We don't have to go often thankfully, but Dr. Weatherstone and the rest of the staff are exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. I have a dog with addisons disease and not only were the staff well versed in the illness (which isn't always the case with vets), they found an alternative treatment that suited us much better and provided our pup with a better quality of life. Basinview and the staff are excellent to deal with whether its a routine checkup or an emergency and I cannot express how thankful I am to have found a clinic who takes such good care of our pets. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

I have been using Basinview Animal Hospital's services for over 10 years. I took all my childhood cats there and was always treated exceptionally well. As an adult I now take my very anxious Rottweiler to Basinview, and have been blown away at how kind, professional and patient all of the staff have been with us and my dog. Both the vets and the vet techs are exceedingly friendly, and have made vet visits less stressful for myself and my dog. I would recommend their services to absolutely anybody.

We have three boxers ages six, four and two. Each of our boxers are a patient of Dr. Adrienne Johnston. Our experience with her and all of the team at Basinview Animal Hospital over the last six+ years has been nothing short of impeccable. Recently we had our youngest girl, Prea, in for a routine spaying. Prea has a heart murmur that is graded aprx. between three and four so we knew she was at a higher risk for the surgery. Taking this into consideration Dr. Adrienne carefully took the time to answer any questions we had while making sure we knew all of the available resources and testing that could be accessed and used prior to the surgery to ensure we felt comfortable moving forward. The day of the surgery Dr. Adrienne called us before they started the procedure to check in and let us know that as soon as she was done surgery she’d call us back to confirm how it went. When I received the call that Prea had made it through with flying colours we were both elated. We have had many interactions with Dr. Adrienne whether it’s a regular check up or an unforeseen boo-boo. Without a doubt she and the entire team have earned 100% of our trust and confidence. Not only is your pet in exceptional care you will leave every visit as a pet owner feeling more knowledgeable and confident. I contacted the clinic. they respond quickly with my concern and arranged time in same day so let me get in exactly after 30 min in between thier clients which mean great help . We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Yvonne, her Tech Stephanie and all the staff at Basinview. We've been going to this clinic for years with all our pets. They've always been with patience and love. Two weeks ago we took one of our dogs to them thinking she had a virus of some sort. It ended up being way more serious than this and we had to make the decision to say goodbye. The staff was amazing, caring, helping and so compassionate. Recently I had to take my dog Benji in to be put down, it was my first time having to put an animal down and I was beside myself plus with putting down my best friend who I loved so very much wasn’t easy for me. I took him to Basinveiw Animal hospital, soon as I walked in I was greeted with soft spoken ladies with nothing but compassion in they’re hearts. I wasn’t pushed into anything I was given time it was all up to me but I still wanted they’re input there was no judgement, very soft gentle with benji my dog and myself. We went to Basinview Animal Hospital because of how great their online reviews were and I’m so glad we did. We brought home our first Puppy, Zoe, a week and a half ago and scheduled her vaccines with Dr. Amanda. As first time dog owners, Dr. Amanda went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and give me great advice. She and her fabulous Assistant, Miranda, were so great with Zoe and made sure her first vet appointment was a positive one. Bringing home your first puppy can be nerve wracking, but I have peace of mind knowing we have a Veterinarian that cares, is knowledgeable, professional, and super friendly. If I could give 6 stars, I would!

We have a Hedgehog. Hes a super sweet little guy. We noticed that he wasn't eating at all, including his favorite foods, for a few days and had developed a cough. His regular vet was on vacation so in an emergency we opted for Basinview. They took him in and did some tests. Due to covid we saw none of this. We were told his teeth were great, his breathing was fine, and that his lack of eating was more than likely due to cold weather (despite keeping his cage at the recommended 22 degrees for the last 3 years). We paid the $140 bill having no answers and a vet telling us everything was fine. A week later he is still not eating, we can audibly hear his breathing, cough has worsened, and he occasionally bleeds from his mouth. His regular vet gets back and takes him in as an emergency and within an hour notifies us that he is missing teeth, severely underweight, and can hear the rumble in his lungs as we told the vet at Basinview a week beforehand. I'm sure Basinview is great with dogs and cats but do not under any circumstance take your exotic pets here.

Words cannot describe how amazing this animal hospital is. The vets and staff are all incredibly caring and it's always a wonderful experience for my dog. My dog is a rescue and came with some special traits, all the staff at Basinview go above and beyond for all and any of his needs. They really are the only vet I would recommend. (Also, Basinview is the only vet I've had experience with that is not just trying to make money. Anytime I've dealt with them it has been cheaper than expected, including blood/urine tests) They really are the dream team, I could go on and on about them for hours, but to sum it up, Basinview is the place to take your best fur friends.

My first visit to Basinview animal hospital. For my dog and new kitten. I am extremely pleased with the service. Everyone was so friendly Even with covid and you cannot go in with your pet the vet kept me updated I was not rushed over the phone and she answered all our questions. She took the time with our new baby kitten and sadly found a flea . But that’s ok she medicated him and will see him again in a months time. The vet even sent me PICTURES. To assure us they were doing well. This is by far the best vet I have ever been to. I am absolutely very very happy with the service she provided us. Would highly recommend this animal hospital.
