Highly recommended! Atlantic Veterinary Hospital is a top notch clinic as far as i am concerned. Dr. Blaney demonstrates a strong confidence level which I beleieve puts my cat companion at ease and he seems never rushed. He also is very gentle when handling my senior friend. He also makes preventative recommendations. Everyone there is very friendly. I feel they provide my cat with the best of care always and that is the reason I make the trip from Saint John to the KV. I had switched to a different Vet Clinic when I moved from the valley to Saint John but never seen the concern and interest which Dr Blaney demonstrates.

Kind, skilled, professional are just a few of the words to describe the veterinarians and staff. A very clean and modern facility too. We drive from town even though there are vets much closer to us. They were so caring when we had to put our dog with cancer down and so joyful and supportive when we were ready for our new pup.

After a very difficult few months, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Sadie, and the doctors and staff were incredibly warm and empathetic throughout her surgeries and treatment, and were very accommodating and extremely kind on Sadie's last day. Compassionate, professional and just simply amazing are the words to describe the staff here! During a sad recent visit to have our beloved family pet "Sheena" put to rest we were greeted by the most understanding and compassionate individuals at this hospital. We were not clients here but after our experience we will, without a question, trust the care of our future pets to the staff at this hospital. To our surprise, they went "above and beyond" and mailed my family the actual paw prints of our dog Sheena with a sympathy card! Outstanding staff! Thank you!

The staff is always friendly and well informed about your pets needs to their breed. My beautiful puppy enjoys going to her vet. She won't let another vet look at her, but here she basically let's them do their job on keeping her healthy without and arguments. The doctors here will also help work with you to make sure your fur-baby gets the most out of life.

Our cat, Zachariah, suddenly started displaying very troubling signs of severe bladder/urinary tract problems. Of course it was on a Saturday when our neighbourhood vet was closed. So we called for an emergency appointment, was accepted immediately and we did the 1 1/4 hour drive from the Washademoak to the Atlantic Veterinary Hospital in Rothsay. Immediately upon arrival we were welcomed at the door by an assistant who gently reassured us, took all the particulars pertaining to Zach, led us to an examination room and introduced us to Dr.Brooks. Dr.Brooks was an extremely open doctor who related so very well to both Zachariah and the humans in the room. Plain spoken and down to earth, Dr.Brooks instilled our immediate confidence in her with an assessment of the facts, the possible diagnoses and outcomes, and the steps that needed to be taken. We were able to wait and within 20 minutes she had performed an ultrasound on Zach, identified the least worrying of the three possible diagnoses as the problem, explained it and the possible causes to us, administered a shot of antibiotics and issued us a prescribed drug to administer once per day for six days. With everything explained to us in detail, she tucked Zachariah back into his carrier with ease and had us back out the door in far less time than it took us to travel there one way. Considering the emergency nature of the visit, the fact it was on a Saturday, the procedure involved and the meds, the total bill was quite manageable. A great clinic and a super team! Now only 48 hours later, Zachariah is in much better shape.

I recently brought my dogs in for vaccinations and microchipping. Staff were all very professional, my dogs were well-cared for during the procedures, the doctor let me know what to expect when I took my dogs home, and he followed up with a call the next day to check on them. Best Vets in the Valley. Dr. Blaney and his staff are more than top notch. My Great Dane kept getting what was thought to be bacterial infections but after the 3rd episode in a year, Dr. Blaney decided to do some biopsies. He found that my baby has food allergies. Worked with me to get the proper food, care and education to prevent more flare ups.

My cat broke out of his crate on the way to this vet and they lent me their crate to take him home. Not only that, but they carried the big crate out with my cat in it and put it to my car! Since my cat was stressed out at his appointment, they gave sedatives for his next visit, and the whole experience was free since they did not get a chance to examine him. Great experience with Dr. Morris and staff!!

I brought my Doggie Biscuit to get surgery. We live very far away but it is worth it to get this quality of service. They are all so kind and professional! My dog thru up in the waiting room. The two girls rushed over. One cleaned her up and the other popped her blanket in the washing machine so she could have it after her surgery. Everyone that works there is so very kind, professional and really great at what they do.

I was very happy how Dr Blaney is so thorough with Moses vaccinations. Dr Blaney also did blood work on Moses, to check his liver, he told us that his liver elevation was up from the last time, when one of the other vets failed to let us frrom 2 months ago, when he had his preop for surgery. Dr Blaney is excellent with animals.

I’ve been to Atlantic veterinary clinic many times in the past . Sadly due to having lost my dear little cat Scampi boy to cancer years ago . I haven’t been there in a long while , but I knew exactly who to bring the new member of my home ( little Penny ) when she developed an irritation in her ear . When I called , I was given an appointment for the same day . We were welcomed warmly , and little Penny was handled gently and professionally . The staff is so compassionate . I was shown exactly how to administer her medications , and I’ve been managing well here at home . Penny isn’t fond of the ear drops of course , but they are definitely helping her recover . Yesterday was our first visit to the Atlantic Vet Hospital. We recently moved here from Ontario and were really nervous about finding a new vet for our fur baby. Atlantic Vet Hospital came highly recommended to us from a colleague, and they did not disappoint. The staff were fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Robinson even called me today to do a follow up to see how our pup was doing after his shots. Very reasonably priced, too! We would highly recommend the Atlantic Vet Hospital to all our friends and family!

I used this vet for two surgeries and yearly vaccinations, as I was new to the area. The attending vet did not advise me that my dog needed to return for a booster shot a few weeks later (informed by another vet). The same attending vet was only to perform the spay surgery and not the secondary eye surgery (due to lack of experience). However I was informed upon picking up my dog and noticing the repaired surgical area did not look as it should that the vet with limited experience had performed both surgeries, even though I had been ensured during the initial consult that a senior vet with experience in eye surgeries would perform the surgery. As a result the eye surgery has to be redone due to the fact that only 2/3 of the ingrown eye lashes were removed and the vet left my dog with Cherry eye. The vet then tried to tell me that the mistake was only cosmetic even though I can now see into my dogs lower eye socket, where dirt and debris can now collect. The vet then had the audacity to advised me that the vet clinic was not only charging me again to correct their error but that they had increased the cost of the needed repair by almost double and offered an approximate discount of roughly 20% to further the insult. This vet clinic is solely about the Money and very little about the animals..Choose wisely for your furry loved ones!!!
