Extremely professional ! They were able to take me in right away. I arrived a little early and they were right on time. The staff were excellent. Dr Rice was great. Explained all the options and prices upfront. Which I really appreciate. They took great care of Pumpkin Pie. I would strongly recommend Thank you!

Staff was very friendly and so was the vet. Their prices are very fair and they also got my simba in quick to be seen. They were able to give me accurate estimates before each visit and that also helped huge. I felt welcomed and my cat actually loves coming here. I can see they love animals and truly want what’s best for your animals. Definitely will continue to bring my cats here.

These guys are very bad vets I called in to book an appt with my dog and some lady answered the phone saying she wasn't sure how to book me an appt that their receptionist was on lunch she took my name my dogs name and my phone number telling me somebody would call me back early afternoon to arrange the appt and I never hear back from them at all I would not trust my pet at a business run as poorly as this one

Bad, don't come, they charge my consultation fee even they cannot find out what happened for my cat! And it was the SECOND TIME! Why should I pay for their incompetent??

Prices are far beyond reasonable and they like pushing products and their opinions far too much. Care for animals is not always apparent and unnecessary risks are taken. I don't doubt their skill as vets.

Okay. So I am going to say my experience with this place. The first time I went there was neither better or worse, and the vet give us a few medical. And the second time, the same question, my pet not fully treated. A rude female vet ask us to pay for the same question- it is fine; and give more medical(at least 3kind) for my cat and I just told her I don’t really want my cat take a lot of medical stuff - And then she said I was abusing cats by not giving them pills or something. Fine :) i’m so sorry that I’m an international and new here I know nothing about what gonna do at that time but for right now I’m going to say CHANGE A PLACE

Seeing alot of reviews of people saying they were charged for a consultation that wasnt really a consultation?. So i wanted to share my experience there which is quite the opposite. I got a kitten from somone further in Hamilton. but noticed the first night he was home that he had fleas. So the next day when they were open i was in the area and just dropped in. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. And since it was a friday and i didnt have my cat with me then, i was told to bring him in on the monday. That maybe 20 minute conversation with the receptionist didnt cost me anything! She was just helpful and i came in the monday and just like that a couple months later they got rid of the fleas in my appartment to, since we knew theyd only been there 5 days. This was 4 years ago and we have been 100% flea free since! Been very pleased with the staff since even during covid when can't go in with the doctor anymore.

I brought my cat here for a check up. The vet was very thorough and checked her out right in front of me. She explained everything and listened to all my concerns. And it's very obvious they love animals, they treated my cat with care and patience since she is a very timid cat. I was very pleased with the service, I will be bringing my cat here on a regular basis.

This is Dr. Aimee Rices facility, while I have yet to attend this clinic myself Dr. Rice comes highly recommended. She saw my cat at their sister clinic Mohawk animal clinic. Dr. Rice was patient and thorough. For my pet I spare no expense, I believe the tests she performed were fair and though I had no cost concerns (my pet is insured) Dr. Rice checked in with me often to advise of pricing considerations. Hermione is doing fantastic, and is back to herself. I would highly recommend Dr.Rice!!

No check up performed. Had my cat for 1 minute just to “try” and throw a muzzle on her. Charged $100 for absolutely nothing. Cat was in extreme pain. Rushed her to the next vet possible.

I had to go a series of times over the summer because of my cat injuring herself. The vets completely ignored my suggestions that my cat was stressed and missed a lot of symptoms. Each visit was over $100 and one of the vet techs was made disparaging and judgemental comments about people who may not be able to afford costly visits and products. Despite going to the clinic multiple times for the same issue, the vet kept delaying practical solutions, instead proposing a very lengthy and expensive "trial" to rule out other possibilities which would have just exacerbated my cat's stress to a deleterious degree. I ended up fixing my cat's problems by soliciting advice from more knowledgeable friends and getting vaccines through the SPCA for a fraction of the costs charged at West Park. I wasted over $400 over 3 visits with no actual help and feeling dismissed by the vets at West Park. This was my only option as I don't have a car, but now I'd rather take my chances and take a taxi to a better vet clinic elsewhere.

We will never use this vet again. It took 3 days (and $600) to get our 16-year old cat's bloodwork back and in the meantime they treated her for something she did not have. We then spent $1200 on 3 days of IV hydration. After spending all that they refused to sell us less then a case (24 cans for $70) of kidney diet food; while I wanted to buy only 2 cans to see if she would eat (after much arguing they did relent on that). In the end, the cat refused to eat at all. Finally they refused to come to our house to euthanize our cat (they said it was because of COVID) and wanted us to drag our dying cat back to their clinic; they told us no vets would do house calls, which was not true. Our whole experience was incredibly stressful and we had the feeling that they were out to extract all the money they could without any concern for our cat.

Although we have more recently been going to the Downtown clinic, for the last 13 1/2 years we have been going to West Park. While we sadly had to let our beloved dog go recently, we want to thank the staff at the clinic- including Dr. Mogavero, Dr. Bourque and Dr. Rice for the great care over the years!

I highly recommend Dr. Rice and her team, tech Jessica and receptionist Amanda. I recently moved to Hamilton with an already sick dog (with diabetes). Dr. Rice jumped right on to the issue and worked with me for 3 1/2 months to try and get on top of the diabetes. In the end, my dog, Lincoln, succumbed to his diabetes. Dr. Rice and her team helped me get everything in order prior to the euthanasia, and Dr. Rice was flawless in her assistance when it was Lincoln's time. Again, I cannot recommend Dr. Rice more highly. Thank you Aimee, Jessica & Amanda, from the bottom of my heart.

From start to finish Dr.Rice and her staff worked quickly and efficiently on my dog for his vx and blood work. I had no problem at all trusting the staff to examine my dog without me there due to covid 19 restrictions. Dr. Rice called me while I was in my vehicle asking me if I had any question concerns etc.. and she addressed all of them. Everyone there is fantastic. Both of my cats are terrified of vet visits but the team works quickly and gently. We've had a couple of horrible emergencies and West Park Animal Hospital fixed my fur baby up so we could all relax and he could heal. Monkey is a great support too!.

This is my first ever review because I just felt the need to warn others not come here. Extremely high prices, just a simple check up costs a whopping 93 dollars! Id be fine if the vet was able to detect the cause of my dogs pain, (it was later discovered that she had intervertebral disk disease) however she was unable to detect anything and just sent me home with suggestions for pain killers. I strongly suggest that other pet owners do NOT come here.

I took a friend in with his ill dog that needed to be put down. I found Dr. Mike Mogavero and his staff to be compassionate, competent and respectful to myself, the dog and his owner. Do not go to that place. The vet literally looked at my cat and I was charged $93?????? She didn't even take temperature or perform any kind of check up. Extremely rude and pushing products. When I questioned what was the bill for, I was told that her time has value.....!!?? $93 for 3 minute stare at the cat, seriously...???Couldn't solve the problem I came for, obviously incompetent. They can sell you all different kind of stuff, that your pet doesn't need though. If you are looking for a place to take your pet, don't go to that clinic.

They took my dog right away even though we had never been there before. They took care of him quickly and he was much better afterward. The staff there was great and really caring with my dog. I would recommend West Park Animal Hospital.
