Very happy with Gagemount Animal Hospital, Dr.Keir and all the staff there! They have been amazing with my dog and her many health scares that she has had over the past year. I would definitely recommend, one of the best in the area!
Wonderful! Very quick visit. Efficient and such a sweet staff. There's a cat that roams around too. It's really cute! Also very informative and helpful. I'm very greatful! They also take small pets here which is good to know!
Very good
Seem to care about our pets
Dr. Kier is an amazing vet but there’s a rude receptionist there that was enough for me to take my business elsewhere. How unfortunate.
Rude receptionist named Claire.
I brought my bunny here because she had a blocked gland. The doctor was extremely friendly and welcoming. I did not have any hesitation letting them take her to the back. It is difficult to find a vet who will treat small animals. I will be taking my other bunny and cat here for checkups from now on.
Was super nervous to bring my cat in because I've had some really bad experiences with other vets. But they were very kind and gentle with her. She had peed herself and they switched out the towels with a puppy pad. She had a bad tooth and they removed it, was in and out very quickly.
Staff are friendly and always helpful. I have even had them help me learn basic care and information when I first became a cat owner over the phone and in person no charge.
I have 2 dwarf hamsters that have been sick for the last few months or have had something wrong with them and the vet here has always been caring, gentle and amazing with my small pets. Everyone who I've talked to here have been friendly, supportive and kind.
Great clinic. Small, friendly, reasonable rates. Dr Keir is awesome!
Dr. Keir is amazing. So good with both my kitten and puppy. You can tell he cares and loves animals, and offers great advice. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
I have been taking my cat Gorden here since I adopted him in 2008. Dr. Keir is so caring and I know my baby is in the best hands possible when taking him here. They are always fair with prices and quality of care is like no other. I don't live as close as I used to but we still make the trip as I trust them completely. I will be a forever client! ????
Ex staff and vets highly recommend this vet practice.
Genuinely very caring. Been to many vets, they are definately the best!
Always have a positive experience at this vet!
I take my pet rats to see Dr. Keir and I couldn't trust him more. He is attentive to what I tell him about any sicknesses they may have and he doesn't prescribe medications left and right. I appreciate that he, and the rest of the team at Gagemount, aren't out to just try and make money. There have been times where he could just prescribe medication or surgeries for my rats but instead he advises that they are doing fine without those things so it best to leave them be. Cannot recommend this hospital enough!
The first time we dealt with this clinic, I was fostering a feral cat and her kittens. The clinic gave us a very fair price to look after all 6 of them and I was so impressed with the quality of care provided. I recently got a puppy, and it was a no-brainer to choose Gagemount as our veterinary care provider. Both of the vets clearly have a great love for animals, and all the staff are just awesome. My dog LOVES going there! I can't recommend this clinic highly enough!!
Gagemount was amazing! If you still go to Beatties, you need to stop and take your fur babies here. Beatties gave us an ear medicine for our big boy which constantly made it worse and worse and worse and had to go back and try new things spending hundreds of dollars and nothing was working... so we came to Gagemount and they tell us to stop using that medicine right away that it was actually doing damage to his ear and gave us something new and within one week his ear was cleared up
Every employee here is fantastic! They are professional and nice.
Our sweet dog Koda wags her tail and runs to visit the staff , so far we are very happy with Gage Mount.
So happy that we switched to Gagemount & just in the nick of time too! 6 months after the switch both of our dogs needed care, it was very reassuring to know that we had this team with us every step of the way and it was clear they only had the best interests of our dogs in mind. (Unlike many other vets who we've had push unnecessary treatments & procedures just to hit a sales target.) Cannot recommend enough :)
They are great with my dog who has intense fear responses. I was looking for a place in Hamilton that would be patience and understanding . Thanks for everything you guys do!
Completely unprofessional and rude workplace. Owner was completely unprofessional and will NEVER trust this location again.
Kind, caring, knowledgeable
I recently brought my pet rat in and had a phenomenal experience. I noticed while calling around that a lot of other vets in the area werent sympathetic toward small pets, most werent equipped/trained to help small pets, one other local vet even advised me that "it would cost less to just get a new rat" when I called in. Fortunately Gagemount had the opposite vibe. Everybody was extremely professional and caring during our brief visit. From reception, to assistants, to the vet himself, everybody was very kind and welcoming. I really appreciated that and was really impressed. Thanks guys!
It's clear this is an animal clinic that genuinely cares about the animals!
Fantastic, helpful, friendly, couldn't ask for a better clinic in our community!
They are absolutely wonderful with my Maisie. Great vet and staff!!
Gagemount is our primary vet for our rabbits and he's an awesome vet. Very kind and caring towards are rabbits, is very helpful and it's very reasonably priced! The cost to get all 3 rabbits checked up is cheaper than getting one checked at other vets! You can tell he genuinely cares about your pets and isn't in it for the money. I definitely recommend Gagemount.
Took excellent care of my rabbit ! Very knowledgeable about small animals
Wheelchair ramp and fast service and nice staff
I have never had a bad experience with these guys , they are amazing .
Changed to this vet after taking my dogs and cat to another place where I never got the same vet, got conflicting results, did not understand what they were saying as English was their second language (and I felt rude asking them to repeat themselves). I came to this veterinarian office and I was thoroughly pleased with the vet and the staff.
Our preferred Animal Hospital for veterinary service. Excellent quality service and friendly staff.
Best place to do a coop placement in highschool
More pricey than most vets however it's worth it. We were taking our puppy to Beatties originally and was having stomach upsets and they were going to have us pay for blood work and stool samples, vets didn't see to care. My in-laws recommended this place and glad they did the vet genuinely cares and gave us a digestive food on the spot which worked right away and saved us from alot of money in tests! Vet was very hands on with our pup, would highly recommend!
Very caring staff.
Absolutely the best! Dr Mulligan is so knowledgeable and doesn't come across as money gouging. I find her very in touch with her staff and the animals. She is very respectful as well. So glad I found this vet after having had many negative experiences in the past with other local vets.
Great veterinarians and support staff here.
I have been taking my dog and two cats to Gagemount Animal Hospital for the past seven years. I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Keir and his staff. They are always friendly, professional and take the time to fully explain things. When I was away on vacation and my mom was taking care of my pets, one became ill and she had to rush him to Gagemount. She told me after that everyone’s caring nature made her feel so much better, because she was extremely stressed because it wasn’t her pet. When choosing an animal hospital it was important to me to see the same veterinarian all the time. I couldn’t’ ask for a nicer vet than Dr. Keir, who is so knowledgeable in so many different areas. I wish he and his clinic accepted human patients!
Amazing, caring service for the 10+ years we've been going. I'd highly recommend Gagemount Animal Hospital.
Great Vets good parking on the back
Dr.Keir and his staff are knowledgeable, professional compassionate and kind. I use this clinic for my rats and wouldn't go anywhere else with them!
Amazing. They literally saved my dog's life. And obviously that goes without saying as it is a vet. But it's all the extra care they take. The follow up... Amazing absolutely amazing
I recently started taking my pets to Gagemount Animal Hospital, and I think Dr. Keir and his staff are the best! They treat me and my dog and cat like family. I was unhappy with my former animal hospital, because I never got the same vet, and I was skeptical about some of the recommended treatments. Dr. Keir spends lots of time with me, explaining what he thinks is wrong and my options. Also, you can tell he loves animals, as he gets down to welcome them, petting them and talking to them. You would think this would be true of all vets, but I can assure you it isn’t. The staff at Gagemount are also super friendly and knowledgeable. I am really happy with my decision to change to them.
Dr. Keir is fantastic! I have been taking my rabbits to him for several years now, and he is so knowledgeable about all of their conditions and treatments. He is also so easy to talk to! The staff at Gagemount Animal Hospital is great as well – all very personable and caring. I definitely recommend this clinic and Dr. Keir to all pet owners.
Fantastic Vet and staff, Dr. Keir and his team really are compassionate and caring, always look after our fur babies and keep them in greatest health.. :)
GREAT place to take your pets. My dog loves the vets. They take such good care of him. He's happy to be there and I know he's in great hands. Friendly and helpful staff as well. Always a great experience whenever we have to go. HIGHLY recommend!!
They were so amazing, we brought in a leopard gecko with an abscess and they were skilled and comfortable enough to sedate her and excise the cist. Fantastic work, she healed so quick and painlessly. Would recommend to anyone with reptiles they are certainly knowledgeable
Was great with our dog, will be going back
Friendly, professional and they really care about your pet
Have been coming here for years. Very friendly and honest people.
Took my cat here for the first time. Dr. Milliken was extremely caring and friendly. Would highly recommend.
Dr. Keir has been my vet for my last 3 dogs and has been nothing less then amazing! When getting unsettling news about my new puppy he was very kind and quickly gave me options on what could be done to help ease my worry. He took the time to sit down with me and explain the diagnosis, as well as gave me reliable websites to look at if I wanted to do more research! I have always valued his opinion and he has never steered me wrong by giving the best care to my furry family members.
Dr. Keir as well as Janis have been awesome with Winnie. I can tell they have nothing but the best interest for the animals that come in. Front reception staff is very friendly and welcoming. I always show up early to my appointments and they help me right away. Excellent service at gagenount.
I am writing this review due to the fact that THIS HOSPITAL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING MY PET. I came here due to the great reviews but i was extremely wrong. MY FIRST TIME AT THIS VET, I brought my 3 rabbits. They then told me two of them were the opposite gender and I had it all wrong. So I went home and changed the names.. no big deal, I know this happens often with rabbits. THE SECOND TIME AT THIS VET, I brought in my little one who is 3 and a half months because I noticed he was constantly sneezing. Everything else was normal.. running, jumping, eating, drinking, very much happy. It was just constant sneezing and I was worried. When the vet checked the rabbit, he said it was fine it was BEGINNING STAGES of a respiratory infection nothing to worry about. He prescribed ENROFLOXACIN to my 3 and a half month old rabbit. I was to give a dosage of 0.5ml once daily. But when I received the medicine, it had my older rabbits information on it (not the rabbit I brought in) who is older then the one I brought in (She is 8-9 months old). Once I received it, I went to the front desk to pay for my visit and I informed them it was the wrong name on the prescription. She then scratched the name on the medicine and wrote the correct name not thinking maybe there is something in their file, for example, AGE DIFFERENCE, that would make an effect on what I was prescribed. THIS APPOINTMENT LASTED 5 MINUTES IT WAS REAL QUICK IN & OUT. I paid, I left.I went home gave my first dose on a Friday. Everything seemed fine. Second day on a Saturday, same thing. I started noticing the rabbit wasn't as playful but still eating. THIRD DAY ON SUNDAY JUST LAYING THERE WOULDN'T MOVE BARELY ATE & DRANK NO MATTER WHAT I PUT IN HIS FACE HE HAD NO CARE FOR IT. HE WAS PEEING & POOPING WHERE HE LAID AND I HAD TO WASH HIS BELLY BECAUSE THE POOR THING WAS COVERED IN ITS OWN FECES. & THAT IS WHEN I NOTICED THEY GOT THE GENDER WRONG & IT WAS A BOY ALL ALONG. I looked up the medications side effects and it was how he was acting, Lethargic, not eating not drinking. On Monday I knew something was SERIOUSLY WRONG. The baby sat there didn't move, didn't care what you did to it. I CALLED THIS VET & EXPLAINED & THEY SAID "OH YES, SOMETHING IS WRONG YOU NEED TO BRING IT IN ASAP ITS VERY SERIOUS IF YOUR RABBIT HASN'T ATE" so i say "SURE ILL COME IN NOW" & they say they have no appointments until later on in the day. I couldn't go or wait that long, something was seriously wrong. I said OK ILL TAKE IT TO AN EMERGENCY VET, AND THEY SAID WHEN NORMAL VETS ARE OPEN ALL EMERGENCY VETS ARE CLOSED, IN WHAT WORLD. I asked if I should stop giving the medication and they said yes, only because I asked & she never even spoke to the vet ONCE during our phone call.I took my little baby to another vet in MISSISSAUGA who could see it ASAP. That vet checked him out, took the time with him & explained everything: -My rabbit does not have a respiratory infection, he has Pneumonia. It was NOT beginning stages of ANYTHING, it had already spread to his lungs. - The vet then said, as professional as possible, "Typically, this is not the medicine I would prescribe to a rabbit of this Age due to the fact of it having SO MANY SIDE EFFECTS. She then confirmed that the Vet got the gender wrong.AND LASTLY, SHE SAID HE WAS NOT GOING TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHTIf you look up this medication, you will see it isn't prescribed TO DOGS UNDER 1 YEARS OLD. SO WHY IN THE WORLD DID HE THINK A LITTLE BABY NOT EVEN 3 POUNDS & WAS 3 & A HALF MONTHS OLD COULD HANDLE THIS.
We also have been going to Gagemount for years with our pets & they have been good. I also feel obligated to let potential customers know that I believe that this has since slipped over the years & my last phone conversation with staff member Lindsey left a very bad taste in our mouth. I was calling up to hopefully get a appointment to get our dog in to get checked out as he was not feeling well, when phone staff answered back asking if we felt we might be putting him down today because they would kind of need to know for scheduling purposes. Wow just like that, before seeing the Vet I was being asked about deciding my family members life over the phone because they needed to know for there daily schedule, like I say it hasn't all been bad but the last year or so we saw signs of things slipping at this clinic so we started working with another. In our option we believe the caring & compassion started leaving this clinic when Dr King retired, now it's even more of a business getting you in & out.
Dr Keir and his staff are so compassionate and so understanding. They continually prove to me that my pets are getting the best care in Hamilton.
Brought my dog, Sadie, here as our usual vet was booked, Sadie and I were both nervous as we've only ever visited one vet outside our regular vet and it was not a good experience. There was nothing to worry about, they treated Sadie with love and respect and had her feeling 100 times better before we even left the clinic. Very proffesional and helpful and such a personal experience, we got in right before they were closing, right before a long weekend and I'm so grateful. Honestly thinking of switching to this vet as our home vet ???? 10/10 stars!
All of the staff here are amazing! Kind, patient and really make you feel comfortable leaving your pets in their care. Josh always takes the time to explain what going to happen with every visit since we can't go with them right now. My puppy Juno is so excited to see everyone there :)) It's hard to talk with staff because she is always racing to get back to see everyone! I recommend them highly and know a few people who now go to Gagemount based on our amazing experience at Gagemount!!
We had our first visit today and very pleased. The Dr. is gentle and caring, the staff are friendly and efficient.. Impressed with how clean the clinic is. The other Google reviews played a large part in our choosing Gagemount. Happy to have a trusted place to take our beloved dog.
Love Dr. Keir and his staff. They are all so very loving towards my cat Pumpkin and she is very well taken care of when she is there. Highly recommend taking your family pet to them. You will not be disappointed.
Kind and patient staff took the time to answer all questions. Only down side if the limited hours of operation but overall fantastic place to bring your pet.
Poor customer service. Disgustingly bad. After the passing of our senior pooch. We brought her here for cremation, and we're told 1 week for cremation and a paw print. We called after a week and a half and we're told "are you sure you brought her here?". Of course I did. My sister's balled their eyes out bringing her in. They call us back after my one sister had a melt down at work worried about where our dogs corpse went, and the other was calling me like crazy trying to sort herself, and then we're told it takes longer to process because of the paw print, so it should be another week. Okay understandable. So we wait. 3 weeks go by and I call them myself. "We got an urn and paw print" they said it should be another week or two. I'm upset now and I tell them we've been getting told that for 3 weeks now. "Oh that's weird it shouldn't take this long". I ask for the number of the cremation facility our dog was sent to. My sister's husband calls then while we are at work. They explained that it takes 3 to 4 weeks TOTAL. To do these things. Not ONE or TWO. If we were told this from the start, or even the second time, OR THE THIRD TIME. There wouldn't have been so much frustration, confusion and grief. We truly believed you had lost our dogs body. So thank you very much for putting us through hell, not giving us clear information, and horrible service. You were our dogs vet for years, and I'm very disappointed to have had this happen after her passing. For $300, a direct apology would have been appreciated. I understand that you've spoken with your staff after this ordeal, but you need to retrain them. Both in their service towards customers, but also product knowledge considering possibly 3 people could not tell us that the whole process takes almost a month. I'd also like to state. It's not the vets fault. It's the adminstration. **** Just out of curiosity what phone number was given to you?. Because we were checking through all our phones and our house number to see what missed calls from your clinic were on our phones and we saw none. And you have called us before. You have our address. You've sent us mail. You're even stating information from days we called you from different numbers and so on. Why not call those numbers back? You have the dates, you have the history. Why not write down those number like you wrote down every other interaction? Ask for those numbers? it was a week and a half and we were asking for an update on her. Instead of simply asking for a name we were greeted in a way that made us believe you lost track of her. That question of "are you sure", was after a bit over a WEEK. Not 3. Very unprofessional. When I called myself the second time after nearly three weeks, all I was told was oh"that's weird, it shouldn't take this long", so no, you did not know about how long the paw print took. Or maybe you did and you tried to play it off. I had to ask you to find out from the crematorium. After asking you to give me their number as well. Only because we felt we needed to find out everything on our own because we didn't trust you to do it for us. Every phone call we had with you, there was no indication that the paw print was the reason of "delay". Every time we called after you "found out", was NOT followed with that information. It was not until we called the crematorium ourselves we found this out. THEY did their job properly, THEY eased our mind. Thank you for your apology. But your response to my review is clearly to save your own image. This was not handled well. There was no communication between staff. Never once were we told that the number you were trying to reach was being sent to voice mail or not responding back, never once were we asked to provide a different number. If we had KNOWN, we would have happily done so. Even when confronted in person your first response was "it wasn't either of us". Really? How unprofessional! You caused weeks of unneeded grief.
Always a positive experience
Great staff. Always caring and friendly towards us and our fury family member.
Great vet! Wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks for everything gagemount!
Was super happy to have found gage Mount ! Duke went in for his first vaccinations and they were so loving , welcoming !
Absolutely outstanding care and compassion is what Gagemount Animal Hospital will bring to you pets and to you. If you require a rat vet, Dr. Keir is all you need. He was very gentle and caring to our Oreo. Thank you guys.
What can I say about this veterinary clinic? It is absolutely the best! I have been bring my pets to this clinic because the vets are experienced, kind, compassionate, welcoming and understanding of both pet and client. The staff are wonderful, as well. They are professional, very willing to accommodate your needs and always demonstrate a warm, loving manner with your pet. I have had to euthanize several dogs and cats over the years. At Gagemount the doctors and staff try very hard to make this heartbreaking experience more bearable. What can I say about Gagemount Animal Hospital? It’s the best!
good service
Dr Keir and staff are the best! They always take such good care of our 3 pets. Dr Keir is in the right profession and is so incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I am so glad we found this clinic!
Unprofessional. My dog was 13 when she passed away. But when we made the decision to cremate and get a paw print of our fur baby we were told it’ll take 1 week for us to get her back. Wrong. So 2 weeks go by, no call. So I called them to ask where my dog was. The response they gave me was “Are you sure you even brought her here? We don’t have her.” When my dog died, I was the one to pick her up and place her on my lap, I cried the whole way there and continued to cry when I got home. She was our love, our sister, our babygirl, she was always an angel. So you could only imagine the aching pain I felt in my heart hearing those words. Right away I was crying. Questioning ‘wheres my dog, what happened to her after I left? What do I do now, just be okay with it?’ No. It turns out the unprofessional, apathetic person that answered the phone that day was not taught common sense, sympathy or respect. They misinformed us twice, that is too many times. My first pets death was a traumatizing situation because of them. She passed in her sleep peacefully so it shouldn’t have been this traumatizing. First of all, it takes a month to get a cremation done with the paw print. Why? I don’t know. Apparently for just the cremation it takes a week, but since we got the paw print with it ($300) it takes a month. So after all this disrespect and unprofessionalism we got her today. I just don’t want anyone to ever go through the traumatizing experiences I’ve gone through because of these people. I go in to pick her up and I let them know they have broken our hearts even more, and the one chance I gave them to be kind, went right out the window when they said it wasn’t any of us, that person was unaware. Okay, then don’t question me and ask me if I am sure if I brought my dog to you. I brought her to these people her whole life! How could you behave like I’m not important. If this was a human you would be fired, sued, hated by the family that lost their loved one. Next time, tell the saddened person to ‘hang on, I’ll find out for you, give me one second.’ And go find out. So to anyone looking to come here with their fur baby, don’t waste your time or your money here.
Good service even after hour sometimes.
Dr. Keir is knowledgeable, kind and trustworthy. I'm very happy to have him care for my dogs and cat. He's a wonderful vet and the staff are great. Highly recommend.
We found this vet after we moved to Hamilton we went there because of location and google reviews. Our first visit was good and I was just waiting until a couple more before I reviewed it so that it was based on more than a singular experience. Then Covid happened. The staff have been absolutely wonderful and patient with us. My husband called several times to get one of our dogs in for routine exam/shots before they were able to provide non emergency care. They were always patient and kind letting him know not yet. We got a new puppy and they were able to get her in for puppy shots and they have done a fantastic job helping us juggle pet care and safety practices. I look forward to when we can be in the exam room again, but until then I feel confident they are treating our dogs just like their own. I’m glad we went to this vet I highly recommend them.
I found their dog food to be more expensive than other veterinary clinics. Next time I'd be more inclined to shop around for my dog food!
Great staff and fair prices. Specializes in all exotic pets
Excellent Vet. Dr.Keir is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and you can tell that he loves animals. He doesn’t push what you may not need just to make money. He was very compassionate when we had to put our senior dog to sleep and has been bang on with his diagnoses. Five stars to him and his staff...
Excellent vet to bring your loved ones to
Clean quick friendly Awesome Dr's
Great staff and very helpful. Explain situation thoroughly before proceeding. Reasonably priced.
This is an excellent veterinary clinic, friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always willing to make time for emergencies. Great place if you are a Rabbit or other "exotic" pet owner like myself, the staff here are more than capable with animals other than dogs and cats. Prices are perfectly acceptable.
Prompt service. Vet was great. Got down to meet our new puppy. Clean facility.
Dr Kerr is amazing! Kind and knowledgeable
I brought my new puppy to Gagemount because of the great reviews and I agree...they were fantastic with Maxi
Sooo caring and compassionate!
Always so good with our animals Staff is friendly & helpful!
Amazing vet
Falsely advertises acceptance of exotic pets. Website states they accept "mice, rats, hedgehogs, ferrets and other exotic pets", yet when I called to inquire what the other exotic pets consisted of the respetionist replied, "things like mice, hedgehogs and hamsters; no birds or reptiles, though." Utterly ridiculous.
Just a friendly reminder lets not take our hostility out on Gagemount Animal hospital. They have handled this pandemic with great care and caution for all of us especially our beloved animals. We should all be grateful that they are providing their services during this unrelenting pandemic. To name shame staff is a blatant disrespect to them and the great service that they are providing during these difficult times
Gagemount Animal hospital is the best around.. they've been apart of my fur family for 17 years and I am looking forward to another 17.
Love these guys. Amazing staff and Drs. Would 110% reccommend They have done sooooo much for my German Shepherd , Kanuck Dr Keir is the Best ????
Staff are knowledgeable and friendly they care about the pet more than the money. Loyal customer now for 25 years.
Our dog knows part way there where we're going and gets excited. That's right: excited. Need I say more? Seriously, knowledgeable staff that are excellent with pets, happy to be there or not. It is clear that the animals' wellbeing is their first and only concern.
Gagemount is the best vet I've ever been too. They truly care about he animals and don't push for unnecessary/expensive treatment and testing procedures.
Always kind, caring and explain everything thoroughly. I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else!
They love animals, you can just tell. They get right down on my dogs level and greet them, before they ever put them up on the table. They also listen to our concerns and help put our minds at ease. The two Vets I've dealt with have a huge knowledge base between them and that came in very handy when my male Cocker spaniel turned black under his arms...one of them has successfully treated dogs with this yeasty condition in the past!! The girls at front desk are fantastic!! Always a greeting when you come in and they seem to remember my dogs quirks lol. I'm very happy with Gagemount and it's a bonus they are just a couple minutes away!!
I like the vets there, but they're expensive.
I have been with Gagemount for 12 years now and am very happy with them. I am particularly impressed with Dr. Keir, he has taken great care of my dogs.
I have had 3 dogs over the course of my life, all were clients of Gagemount. I cannot say enough about everyone there. Over the yrs their level of care has risen & exceeded any other animal hospital near or far. My golden retriever was not just an occasional visitor, due to health reasons he required regular frequent visits, so I got to know everyone there very well. Right from the moment u walk in, you r greeted by Claire and Lindsay who are r so very knowledgeable - due to my high maintenance boy I sometimes would call in a panic with a simple health question. Lindsay or Claire would often know what to do to ease my mind. If they didnt they would immediately check with Dr Keir and get back to me. All the vet technicians are equally learned. Highly knowledgeable, wonderful to deal with, always gentle and loving. And then there is Dr Keir. This is a man who is truly "in it for the love of the animals". He is beyond compassionate, gentle and loving. Near the end of my golden's life (15+ yrs), there was an option to do an invasive surgery. While other vets would have jumped @ the chance to make $$$ and put my boy thru the ordeal, Dr Keir put the interest of my beloved first. I have seen 1st hand - this is not a place that will nickel and dime you - yet the level of care by far exceeds top notch. Over the yrs there were many instances where Dr Keir opted for my boys best interest instead of going after the all mighty dollar. He is on top of the newest forms of care, always quickly & correctly diagnosing problems, and will never do anything that is not the best for your pet. There is most definitely a reason why Dr Keir is voted best vet in Hamilton every yr. Everyone @ Gagemount treats your pet as if it were there own, they respect it, only want what's truly best for it, just like they were part of their own family. They r all the ultimate professionals who deliver the highest level of care, while doing so with compassion, empathy and love - they r all in it "for the right reasons". Everyone at Gagemount is conscientious & on top of your pet's health. I have referred people to Gagemount and all are equally impressed & happy. To say i am happy with Gagemount is an understatement. I can never thank them, and especially Dr Keir, enough for all they have done for my babies over the years - they r all truly fantastic. If you love your pet and want nothing but the best care for it, Gagemount is the only place you should ever go - I would never go anywhere else.
Dr. Keir and his team at Gagemount Animal Hospital consistently provide outstanding care to my cats. The entire team is professional, timely, and compassionate. Dr. Keir always approaches my cats with compassion, performs a comprehensive examination, and provides effective, practical care and advice. One of my cats became acutely and seriously ill. Dr. Keir quickly and accurately diagnosed the condition. (A vet at another hospital recommended several additional, costly tests including a surgical procedure for diagnosis, which my cat likely would not have survived. I removed the cat from their care.) Dr. Keir's care saved my cat's life. Upon recovering, the cat was diabetic. Dr. Keir and his team have helped me maintain my diabetic cat's quality of life and well-being over the past seven years - this is an outstanding achievement given the cat's health condition. I have taken my pets to several other vets and animal hospitals in the past - Dr. Keir and Gagemount Animal Hospital are absolutely the best. I highly recommend.
This clinic was recommended to me by a friend who has been going there for years. He said Dr. Keir and his staff are amazing. Super friendly. Always professional. Superior medical knowledge. And it is clear they all love animals. So, I took my dog there recently for his heartworm, tick and flea medication, and my friend was bang on! Everyone was great. My dog loved Dr. Keir, who actually got down to interact with him. Dr. Keir is super friendly and conversational, as was everyone else there. I will definitely be going back, and will be recommending Gagemount to my family and friends.
Our family been dealing with them for over 50yrs. Wjen i got dogs i continued going Dr.King was the best. But this past two weeks has been hell. Our dog passed at home on friday day after being at the vets. I felt they did nothing for her only prescibed meds on thursday. After telling them she was throwing up blood that night she had big amount of blood from her bum. No emergancy was available thursday night to help her. I dont recommend them aand will be changing vets immediately
Staff are friendly and empathetic
LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Keir and the WHOLE staff. Kind, loving, informative. They get you in quickly, call you with results when they say they will and have a variety of products available for purchase. Will NOT go anywhere else as they show my sweet Molly so much love and respect. Highly recommend this vet!
Thanks for all the kind words. We welcome any review and hope to learn from any negative experiences.
