At this moment this business has a score of 4.2 stars out of 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an opinions average is positive, and it's based on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the assessment is very reliable. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Veterinarian is classified in the category of Animal hospital.
Was 100% satisfied with this clinic. Switched here after having ongoing issues with my previous vet that I stuck to for years because I was afraid to switch - but so happy I did. The staff were great, women in the front were very knowledgeable and helpful, vet was awesome. He listened to what I had to say and explained the problems in a way I could understand and showed sincere concern for my cat. Something I haven't gotten for years at my previous clinic. I was in and out in less than an hour and most of that time I was in the exam room. There was no waiting for anything. Quite impressed. Will definitely be staying at this clinic for my pets care.
Head to have my 19 yr old dog euthanized here. Staff were respectful and open about everything and let our family spend the passing moments with our dog. Thanks EMAH for being there with us during it.
The care was excellent.. the people very professional. It is a busy place so you just need to be patient and they will take very good care of your pet.
This vet office almost killed my co-workers puppy!!!! From what I understand, they used to be good here.... But after hearing his story, there is no way I would ever bring my dog or kitties here.
If I could give a rating of zero stars, I would. The doctor I saw was terrible. He didn't listen to anything I had to say, berating me, talking down to me, tried to charge me for 100 dollar pills my dog didnt need and prescribed an antibiotic that made my dog even sicker!!! I went to an amazing vet 3 days later because my dog was going down hill and the new vet said his diagnosis was completely wrong, probably because he wouldn't listen to me!!!! I basic waisted $150 to get yelled at!!!
I called them just to inquire if my situation was enough of an emergency to go immediately or wait until morning, and they responded with valuable and caring advise. Unlike other places I had called. Thank you so much!! Will certainly take my cat here in the future.
The vet and staff here are great and helpful. They're always great with my cat.
At this time I can't think of anything you could do better. The staff are all awesome! who knew an animal would like to go to the Doctors!! lol Thank you! #TeamEMAH!
super nice and quick to see my cat ????
Recently our Terrance stayed at EMAH for four days after requiring surgery for a foreign body in his stomach. Happy to share that now a week later he is progressing at a rapid pace and is the happiest of kitties. His large incision is healing nicely and I feel he was great hands during his stay. I've read the comments about this place is a money grab etc. In my opinion the vets were direct and to the point. Yes, money talks/costs for porcedures came up quickly in conversation. I would rather they be straight forward and to the point. Veterinary services are not cheap in any capacity. We truly have no concept of what healthcare costs and unfortunately they come at our most vulnerable times. All but one of the admin/vet tech staff were fantastic to deal with. Calling and asking for an invoice 24 hours after my animal returned home shouldn't have sounded like a huge inconvenience that it did. Yes I asked for the x-rays and blood work and was understand it would 'take a lot more time to do that if I want it'. Regardless, we and our other kitty Phillip will return to East Mountain Animal Hospital. Thank you, thank you very much from us and Terrance.
I am so happy i found this location, there staff is very polite and understanding. The docter made my cat very comfortable and happy. I really do want to thank this hospital, they saved my cats life. The prices are very affordable and fair. There location is clean. The doctor has a very kind personality and was very kind to my cat. I highly recommend this location, Absolutely amazing.
Friendly, caring, and affordable
A very quick and professional vet
They a really top notch animal care givers #1 in mine and my friends .
Vet took his time with us. Clean and friendly environment. We were not overcharged or taken advantage of even though we were in a vulnerable situation. Would definitely recommend
I called this vet originally at 1:30 in the afternoon, by 5:30 they had my dog in their clinic and being looked at. The staff at East Mountain is wonderful! My husky/lab can be nervous or anxious of new people, but the team did a great job and were able to look him over and even express his anal glands.. no sedative or anxiety meds needed ! They even kindly waived the exam fee as they immediately knew he needed gland expression. I cannot say enough good things about this hospital, thank you all so very much !
Nurses taking in our dog (German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix) are always friendly. Even though sometimes he may bark at them, they handle him really well. If they feel uncomfortable (which is perfectly fine) they ask that you put on a muzzle which they can provide. The doctors are observant and knowledgable and easy to talk to. They'll tell you how to use the medication if you need the help. Only thing is estimates on prices. I had to drop off my dog for an emergency sort of check up. Deposit was $100, that's fine. But I was told on the low end, with no sedation it would be maybe another $80, and on the high end with sedation, it would be probably another $200. Got back after work to pick him up and they didn't have to sedate him but the price on top of the deposit ended up being around $280. Now I understand things add up, but that's above the higher end of the estimate. Other than this, everyone here seems great as people and at what they do. Would definitely recommend bringing your pets here.
Prices are very low! Compare to other places! And the service is outstanding !! Always! There to help you save money ! By doing everything in one visit ! This way is one price! Instead Tobe going for every visit!! Don't take my word for it !! Try it today!!! I love it I recommend 100%????????
Lack of communication between the staff members. Each time we came for our puppy’s vaccine, they change the time without letting us know!!!
Great service! The veterinarian thoroughly examined my sick kitty. The exam was very affordable but beyond that it gets expensive. They wanted 550 for a urinalysis and bloodwork- yeah right!
We first met our dog Rain at East Mountain Animal Hospital four years ago. He was a rescue they were looking after. Only once have we taken him elsewhere - to a vet closer to our home, which we regretted. Now we’re very happy to drive ANY distance to see the caring professionals at East Mountain where visits are always a pleasure for us and Rain. Even during a pandemic! Curbside service was well organized, the staff was totally professional despite the necessary inconvenience of COVID precautions. And the pricing is still the best in town!
Dr Dixon is absolutely wonderful. My kitty needed a lot of dental work which Dr D performed at a reasonable cost and with much compassion. He has a mobile service which is fantastic when you have kitties. I’m completely baffled by those who say he’s overpriced. He’s the most reasonably priced vet I’ve taken any of my critters to.
Untrained staff, rude and very unhelpful manager. Our Chihuahua was attacked by a German Shepard last night. The owner of the German Shepard contacted East Mountain Animal Hospital while I was waiting for my husband to pick me and my bleeding dog up with the car. The gentleman man briefly explained the situation to the receptionist, and was told it was ok to bring our Chihuahua in for emergency care. We showed up minutes later, myself 8.5 months pregnant, my small dog who was bleeding from multiple puncture wounds, and my husband who was bleeding also with puncture wounds to this hospital. We knocked on the door and a young man came out. We explained the situation, he asked if we were clients, and we explained that we weren’t but were told by the dogs owner that we could come in. He said he would be back in a moment and after a brief wait we were told they could not see our dog. We were obviously upset and confused by this as we were JUST told we could come in. We asked if he could provide us with an emergency animal hospital so we could take our bleeding dog for care ASAP. He could not tell us one single location, but once again ran into the clinic saying he would be back in a moment. Myself holding my bleeding dog, trying to also care for my bleeding husband was able to Google search a near by hospital we could go to. We hopped back in the car and made way for that animal hospital - still no sign of vet staff. Luckily the emergency animal hospital took our dog in immediately, wrapped up my husbands hand so he could make his way to the ER, and sat with me until family was able to come join me. We are blessed that our dog is out of surgery and recovering at home now. Shout out to Beatty Animal Hospital for top notch service. I wanted to contact the East Mountain Animal Hospital this morning to see if an incident like ours could be handled better by them in the future, so I called and was patched through to a manager who had nothing but excuses a blame to throw our way. I explained what happened, explained our frustration, and explained the reason for my call and complaint. I said I understand we aren’t clients of this clinic, nor is this an emergency clinic, but we were told to come to you to get care. She informed me that this is not an emergency clinic and it’s the doctors decision if a dog can be seen or not. I said that wasn’t even the case because no doctors were consulted in this situation. She once again doubled down saying they’re not an emergency clinic, to which I explained my confusion on why the receptionist told us we could come in over the phone. I also shared my frustration regarding the staff member not being able to tell us where an emergency clinic is, and her response is that her staff aren’t expected to know this off hand. The attitude and lack of sympathy from the manager was tremendously disappointing. Instead of apologizing for the situation and trying to make amends, I was told I was overreacting because of my pregnancy. I told her because of her nonchalant attitude that I will be taking this complaint further and letting the general public know of our treatment. She had nothing to say other than to do what I feel I need to do, and any negative reviews of this situation will be considered slander.
I don't believe there's anything that you all as a company would have to improve because bar none the best service and the best staff and the best veterinarian logo that I've seen ever and I've had dogs my whole life but bar none you guys have really helped me through this transition in my life and I will have nothing but amazing reports of your clinic and of your team hats off to all of you and thank you very much for making my best friend comfy and cozy and taking care of through our transition means more than you'll ever know and for that I love all you guys as a company and now as extended family thank you very much for all your hard work and due diligence
This is my veterinarian and I love the fact that they are open 24/7. They are very knowledgeable and the prices are great. The staff is amazing as well as the vets.
They lost my crate that I brought my dead cat in with and never tried to find it or rectify the problem. That carrier had sentiment blankets in it and they lost it. I'll never take an animal here
I've always received good service for all of my pets, they keep a good stock in their inventory, and they're willing to order whatever they do not currently have.
Informative, helpful. All I've done has picked up my cat's dietary food there so far. So no problems yet.
Not happy with service: was booked for 9:30 appt for exrays and stitches removed .THEY called to confirm to be there for 9:30 time to find out the doc does not even show up til 10. And the exrays machine was down .I feel i should if been told this at the confirmation time, instead of driving all the way there to find this out. Had to bring dog back just to be put in a room to wait again. I did not get out of the vet til 12:30. They did not seem to care about wasting my time ..this has been the third situation in 2months i have seen annoyed customers. I will be taking my business else where
I took both my females there for parmetra infections reasonable rates and discount for low incomes saved my dogs lives so grateful ????
I went to this vet on december 6. I made an apt for 11am. The vet finally came in at 11:15am. I requested to have medication as a last resort that I wanted a natural approach first. My dog had been chewing his front leg and i wanted to know if it was ringworm or a hot spot. Her first guess was a flea allergy, she said to do a flea bath. I explained to her that i groom himself myself and that he didnt have fleas. My dog and I sleep in the same bed and I dont have an flea bites also my other dog doesnt have fleas. Her second guess was a food allergy, she suggested an allergy medication. Again i disagreed because he is on the healthiest diet for a dog to be on, raw food. When I said this she looked at me all confused, like she didnt know what it was. He has been on this diet for 2 years straight with no problems. Her third guess was an environmental allergy, which again she suggested an allergy medication. There has been nothing new chemically in his life. All the same things since he has come into the house 2 years ago. Her fourth guess was anxiety. I already know my dog has anxiety. Which I have been working with a trainer to help him. And again she mentioned a medication to give him. This time she atleast mentioned training as an alternative, but quickly added that it would take a long time to deal with. Near the end of the apt i asked if she of anything at all that could suggest that would be natural solution. She said no only medications would help. Atleast this point she said she would go talk to the senior vet and see if he had an suggestions that was at 11:38am. A couple minutes later she came back in and said that she needed to move on to the next client because she “had taken too long with me”. Now keep in mind that she was 15mins late for my apt, which i very rudely stated to her (not my finest moment). I believe that she was annoyed that i wouldnt spend $100s on medications. I left with no diagnosis, no suggestions for help and no treatment options. I spent 75$ on a consult that gave me no information. Safe to say i am switching to a holistic vet come the new year!
Great service and super handsome greeter ????
They always take wonderful care of our pets and are very knowledgeable!
Amazing people at east mountain from desk staff to doctors thank you all you took amazing care of our dog we owe her life to your team thank you thank you thank you
Was able to get us in on a Sunday evening within a couple hours of our phone call. Thanks for the last minute assist on the weekend after coming back from camping and noticing our dog had a pretty gross infection.
After my mobile vet closed down I called around to a couple places and this vet seemed to the one that cared the most and they haven’t disappointed for over a year now.
Great staff very helpful fast awesome
The staff was very friendly and I was able to make an appointment for the same day I called. I found the veterinarian very helpful and compassionate. Would definitely recommend!
I needed an emeergency vet as our cat was not doing well. They took us in the next day and handled our cat with respect. The staff was amazing and talked me through everything while I was a crying mess lol. The vet who took care of my cat was wonderful! so kind and thoughtful! He made sure that I knew everything he was going to do and what my options were. Thank you for making a terrible day a little bit better with your kindness!
Recently a small animal bleeding and near death from a dog attack and were turned away at a time of real need. No effort was made to give them information on another place to deal with the emergency. Shame on your office.
Clipped my dogs nails when everyone else was closed
We’ve been taking our 3 cats here for years and they always taken such good care of them, and of us! I love the PetDesk service they use, scheduling appointments is easy and they’re so accommodating to our lives. I’ve never had any issues and we love that we have a safe place to take our furry family members! Highly recommend!
Brought a sick rescue kitten in, saw the owner, was told a discount would be extended, and given an estimate to sign that included treatments that were not to be given without first checking, everything was done anyway and when I spoke with a different vet, because I was now upset at how high the bill was and that I didn't have the funds, this vet assured me that the bill is not important and that the clinic would work with me... apparently nobody communicates anything to other staff here because everything I was told is apparently not true, the clinic manager was rude and condescending and just kept repeating herself, and threatening to hang up the phone if I didn't "calm down" ... I'm not sure how calm a person is supposed to be when their cat is being held hostage for a bill they never anticipated or agreed to, and was told that the clinic would help with, and all of this frustration took 6 hours to achieve because my repeated messages and requests for a call back were ignored, and then it was only to have the most disgusting experience I've ever had with a vet clinic. Absolutely disgusted with this clinic. I managed to raise the $762 to get this rescue kitten back and will happily never return here again and will be sure to let every single rescue associate know of my experience
Highly recommend this Animal Hospital. I was able to make an appointment late evening at 8pm. My dog had a tick on his face and was highly aggressive with me and at a loss with what to do. I was reassured by this animal hospital, knowledgeable, and the prices are very responsible. Very welcoming staff while adhering to COVID-19 policy!
Fair prices, kind staff.
Took my cat to get neutered here, as it was covered by AVA. We just got home, and he seems fine, but my overall experience at the clinic was bad. I'm worried I'll regret not just spending the money and taking him to my regular vet. The vet did not meet with me before the operation, or perform a routine examination while I was there that I know of. They took my cat's vaccination history, and I had to remind them that I needed it back before leaving. The staff was rude to me and other clients while I was there. One of the younger techs seemed unhappy, but nice enough. They did not give instructions on how often to give the painkillers I bought for my cat. They were not thorough with their instructions to another client either whom I overheard talking, and then acted condescending when the client asked for clarification. Additionally, a dog was crying loudly in the back, and I heard someone shout "shut up", then what sounded like they hit it. The tech immediately walked out of the back, and tried to reassure a different client that it wasn't their dog. The client said that it sounded exactly like their dog. Please do not trust these people with your pets.
Why are they open at 12AM with no doctor? Useless.
couldn't find a veterinarian..mine has closed for personal reasons and someone referred me to EMAH and they welcomed me with open arms..other vets weren't taking new clients..God bless them
Friendly, pet had emergency surgery, very pleased with outcome. Will return.
Such an efficient and friendly vet service. My dog doesn't think so but she was in great hands.
Great place and well run
Our experience was good,as first time client. The staff is friendly, the clinic is very clean. The vet was very informative.Kaysea says "thank you" to Liz Baron for cleaning here ears..and thank you to the vet also.
The staff here are great and we're a key part of helping us get many stray cats off the street healthier and ready for adoption.
I'm literally sitting outside the vets waiting for my dog while I write this review... The reason being is this is their new policy for Covid... Which is fine... But it would of been nice if someone had told me that you had to wait in your car while the vet sees your pet... I would of got a friend to drive me instead sitting outside in 31° weather... Ive been out here for 45mins crouched down beside some tall grass just to get the best of the no shade that they have here... Glad they are preventing Covid from spreading but don't think I want to die from heat stroke either...
This will be lengthy but I have to post my full experience to hopefully stop anyone else from entrusting this place with their fur baby. My 4 year old female dog was brought in mid Dec for a lumpectomy in 3 different places (back of neck, middle of her back along spine, and back leg thigh area). I recieved a call to pick her up that evening, it was after 6pm so very dark and we met in the parking lot due to covid procedures. My girl came out VERY scared, reluctant and loopy. It was very hard to get a look at her but my boyfriend and I lifted her into the car because they said everything went well, I paid $1070 and we went home. In the car I noticed blood trails but didn't know where from until we got home. Her entire back leg was covered in blood, and after taking a look at her other stitched areas I was horrified. Nothing was properly closed up, there were areas I could see directly into her open wounds. She cried for 4 hours and I felt helpless. I called that night to complain about the stitching and they booked for her to come back the next morning and have a look. The next day they said her stitches were normal to look like that and that when it heals it will close, but I already knew there was going to be so much scarring. They said her sutures in the leg came out and that's why it was bleeding, yet she had a cone on and we lifted her in and out of the car so in my opinion they were never stitched properly to begin with. They said I had to sedate her again and have her re-stitched or else she wouldn't heal. Another $120 for the second appointment. 5 days later her leg was still oozing blood and making air bubble sounds along with redness around the wound, I was afraid of infection so I called and they booked her in again for the next day, they said her sutures came out again and it was infected and they wanted to sedate her for a 3rd time in the same week!!!!! I refused and asked if they could freeze her instead, which they did, they also finally added a drain tube because the whole time there was always fluid coming out. This appointment cost me another $65. It was only a few days after that where her stitches split again and her drain tube fell out, at this point I refused to take her back to East Mountain and brought her to another vet on boxing day. I would love to point out that not once did this vet call to check in on my dog after having been there 3 times. Nor have they called to have her drain tube removed and it's Jan 18th. The new vet was horrified at what he saw and indirectly agreed that it was a butchered job (I'm sure there are union or college of vets rules where he couldn't say to much). He couldn't believe the damage to her leg and how poorly the stitch work was done. He had to clean up the area (as in now cut off all the dead skin area and do a double stitch) he apologized for what we had been through and told me due to the damage already incurred he couldn't promise the stitches would hold but if we needed to bring her back just to call. He also attempted to take out her stitches on her neck and back as they now had been in for over 10 days and should have been removed but as soon as he attempted to do so her skin started to split open. He recommended leaving them in because they now needed a longer heal time. This appointment cost me $600. The very next day, the new vet called me directly himself to check in on my girl. The courtesy we should have recieved from the start. I will post photos but I do warn they are hard to look at. I truly believe East Mountain should be responsible in covering all the bills I paid to have their work fixed over and over again when it wasn't done right the first time. Not to mention the extensive healing time where she has been wearing a cone and sweater for over a month, not allowed to play or run and now will have scarring for the rest of her life. This experience was so beyond unacceptable. I will be making a formal complaint to the College of Veterinarians of Ontario if East Mountain is unwilling to cover these expenses
We brought our cat here as an emergency after he started showing signs of toxicity. They were able to see us last minute for a euthanasia appointment. The vet listened to us and explained things well. I only wish the euthanasia room had been more sound proof. We could hear everything going on outside as some of the techs are quite loud.
Doctor Dev is smart, caring and very reasonable. Everyone working here is professional and courteous. Our dog Remy loves the visits. She also gets her grooming done there. Rowhen did really great job grooming Remy. Thank you Rowhen!
They do a great job
Brought my dog here when he was showing difficulty with urinating after his neutering. I was really surprised and found it touching that they gave me a good discount on the xray (although i agreed to pay full price), stating it was because they wanted to know what was wrong with him too. I just thought that was really awesome for them to do, especially when we are in a middle of a pandemic. I can tell the staff here work very hard and genuinely care for all the animals. My dog was back to his normal self shortly after his appointment with the pain medication. The wait time was long but it was also understandly busy. Thank you guys!! I will be coming here as my primary emergency vet after hours.
I like this place however my dog was not seeing the same vet on a consistent basis. Good for emergencies and the staff are very friendly and knowledgable.
I ended up here last night with my cat after other 2 hospitals were unable to take him. I was very nervous as last time almost lost him to same reason. The staff was very diligent, kind and loving to both of us. The vet took his time to explain what was going on with him and what they where going to do to him. Prices were reasonable and they were very clear and thorough with the whole process. I was extremly happy to see my chubbs acting normal again this morning rubbing his face on my nose so I get annoyed enough get up and feed him ????
The front desk lady was really nice and patient. She also gives good recommendations. It was a great experience to go there.
For anyone in the Hamilton/GTA area and are in need of a vet at any time for their fur babies, I would absolutely recommend East Mountain Animal Hospital. Everyone from the girl at the front desk, to the vets who perform the surgeries and do daily routine checkups are just absolutely phenomenal. They were so compassionate and caring and were able to make my pup who is an absolute pain in the butt sometimes so unbelievably comfortable. During such trying times, my family were given such prompt and kind service, at a price that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg for something that could have. Although my pup got very anxious towards the end, they were still so good with her and were able to explain everything thoroughly, and I couldn't be more happy that we decided to take Hades her for what she needed. (I've attached a photo of Hades that I took today, she's already feeling so much better after her surgeries and wants to thank you guys too!!)
This is the best animal hospital I have ever dealt with. Their service is outstanding. Their staff show as being a great team working together. Their care for the animals , as if they were their own. Appointments are made quick and easy. Last but not least, their cost is unbelievably lower than any other vet service. This was my first encounter and will be ongoing for the rest of my pets lives.
our experience was excellent. all three of the staff we encountered were polite, professional and a pleasure to deal with. the vet even gave us a break on the bill with a “half visit” charge which was very unexpected. usually you hear of vet bills being higher than expected- never lower- so thank you :) overall our experience at your clinic was our first, and while we do have a vet we love already, i’d definitely keep you in mind should our usual vet ever be unavailable, and i’d highly recommend your clinic to anyone in need.
Great place, friendly staff and took great care of my puppy
This veterinarian is the only one in Hamilton that gives a significant discount to individuals who are receiving social assistance. The resident feline is adorable.
Friendly staff and reasonable prices for a pet emergency
They are great. I’ve been taking my dog here for about two years and they are so nice to her. I came across this place because my dog and I were brutally attacked by another dog and they were the closest 24 hour vet in our area. After that, we’ve taken her for all of her veterinary needs. The staff is super friendly and always eager to help. Would definitely recommend!
It is their fault my dog is dead. Brought him in for a cyst on his mouth and the doctors said that it was nothing, a few months later he was acting funny TURNS OUT THE CYST WAS CANCER it wasn't caught in time thanks to these people so he went for surgery and ultimately died. If you want to bring your pet home healthy don't visit this clinic. One of the technicians named Dianne, she's a real... something else, took gauze and muzzled my dog with it until I had to psychically stop her because my dog started bleeding. Dianne is disgusting, I don't know how she is even legally aloud to be around animals and the lack of interest in the wellbeing of animals is disgusting as well. I brought my cat here one time and this was his first time getting his nails clipped and he was scared so instead of trying to calm him they body slammed him down on the table threw a towel over his head and forcefully held him down. Please do not bring your animals to this clinic they are animal abusers!
My husband and I have had a great experience with this vet since we started going two years ago. The only thing that they need to work on is coming out of the vet when they say they will. But, I can understand being busy and forgetting.
My cat got bit by another cat and I had to take him in. My Vet was knowledgable and very nice. I'm a talker, and they put up with me chatting away, and were very nice. I felt like this vet took the time, did a through exam, and only recommended treatment my animal needed, without trying to be overly pushy and sell me things. (That's a pet peeve of mine). All in all, despite being more expensive, I will only ever take my cat to this vet again.
Excellent covid protocols in place, answered my list of questions with no issues, and everyone I spoke with and dealt with was very friendly.
Been going for years
Every time we go it's a hot mess. Long waits, incomplete information and most recently some very unprofessional behavior by the vet himself. He was yelling at the front desk lady about something I witnessed. She did the right thing in the situation but the vet didn't get it and kept yelling at her right in front of customers. That is not something you do! Disgusting the way he treated his staff. Even if she was wrong, that's something you take up in private at another time. We could hear him continuing to yell and berate her from the back room. Care for the animals was fine, but this was the tipping point for me, I'll be taking my business somewhere that is more professional and compassionate to ALL.
I was really happy with the quality of service I received talks was looked after with parent loving kindness thank you
Their prices are more than fair. I took my dog there after a dog attack and they accepted him immediately and proceeded to do the procedure. I paid way less than my current vet at the time just to be seen and the staff is amazing. Needless to say I switched over. My dog and I are now part of the East Mountain Animal Hospital family.
Do not ask a lady to help you hold an animal still. Don't you care about their saftey? Your the vet and should be trained in this field not the customer.
I have three dogs so I have been there alot, my shitzu had emergency surgery to remove stones lodged in her bladder (ureter) that was blocking urine. The incredible staff was on it fast with a successful outcome in hours, we even received a specimen bottle with all the stones for a souvenir. I can't say enough about the doctors but compassionate is top of the list.
Service was good. Hard to understand the dr. But otherwise my cat is improving and is on the mend.
Very caring.. staff special in a very difficult moment of losing your loved one. Lost my cat Jake.. thank you to the staff for being compassionate. ❤️????????
Awful, just awful. The vet was late, there was no apology for my inconvenience or even a warm welcome the minute I stepped in the doors. The front desk staff was very cold & even sat there & watched as I struggled to try to weight my dog myself. That was the first thing they said to me as I walked in the door. No warm greeting, just “you’re going to have to wait, the vet is late, go fill these papers out & weight your dog over there” . After nearly an hour, I finally got put into a room. The vet had no idea what he was doing & after waiting another 25 minutes for him to find out a price for sedation I decided to leave. They do not care about your experience, rather just getting your money. After 30 seconds of looking at my dogs paw, the vet said “ I have no idea what’s wrong with it, let’s sedate her & find out”. The next day I took my dog to Barton animal hospital in the ghetto of Hamilton, & had a far better experience than I did here. Not only were they professional & had great attitudes, they also genuinely care about your animal & aren’t just after your money. Very affordable there.
Staff are great prices are reasonable
Amazing I absolutely love this place. Staff is very polite they made my kitten feel calm and happy and comfortable. I highly recommend this pet hospital more than any other one. There service is great and staff is excellent and VERY polite. Prices are great and not too expensive there very good prices and very affordable. There rooms are clean and great. The doctor is very nice and my kitten felt very comfortable and calming with him. I HIGHLY recommend this location, thank you so much East Mountain Animal Hospital for saving my kittens life.
My dog Denver is an 8 month old golden retriever who just happen to get a little too excited while playing and fell hard. Instantly he began to limp and appeared to be in a lot of pain. I called East Hamilton and brought him in. The vet and receptionist were super compassionate and understanding. They did an amazing job ensuring Denver was treated with the most care and in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal skills of staff and explanation of circumstances. This was my first time here but I will definitely be coming back! Not just looking for money they did what was best for Denver and appropriate for his condition without jumping the gun!! Highly recommend
Excellent service!
Great friendly staff
Good pace to take your pet They care
Our cat Hercules is being well taken care of is in really awesome hands. They work with you very understanding very comunicative very friendly,.The Dr. Awesome is very knowledgable is very honest provides suggestions. Thank you very much for taking care of our Hercules.. We are very happy and pleased with your hospitality.
They have taken great care of two of our aged cats. Kind and compassionate at end of life.
Love them! Always super friendly and so helpful.
I know it seems to be really harsh to give a place one star but I feel like it deserves it for this let me explain they did everything they could to save my dog they did a great job but when we arrive we are under the assumption that he was still alive the vet went through all his medical stuff when what was wrong with them and then said oh yeah he passed on the table I feel like that should have been the first thing that came out of his mouth
Never bring your animals here. Not if you want proper treatment or diagnoses. Took my cat here and they said he had a simple muscle strain. Gave me pain meds n sent us home..few days past n he's still limping. Took him to my regular vet. He fractured his femur. Emergency surgery needed 4,000$ 4,500$ by time I was done..he is now home recovering from surgery. This vet took my money and didn't do thier job correctly what's. Very unimpressed with the quality of care offered here, or there lack of ???? if I could put - ☆'s I would-_-
Lauren Hill did an absolutely exceptional job shaving our cat, Noelle. She is 18 years old, and was severely matted. Lauren was kind and compassionate in her treatment of Noelle. We also have 2 dogs which we also take to East Mountain Animal Hospital. They also give us a multi pet discount.
Watch your wallet. I'm torn here because the vets are nice and handle my two cats well, however no matter what the reason for the visit I feel that I am always fighting to get out without having to buy a bag full of over priced prescriptions. As pet owners we want to be sure we are doing what is best for our pets but here I find it hard to sort out what is necessary.
NEVER BRING YOUR PETS HERE. The vet who treat my pet could be one of the worst person i have ever met. Extremely rude, unable to relate to patients feelings. Tells a lot, buy only with cold, sad tones. Without any considerations of how the patients might take it. Really disappointed.
We love how to handle all 4 of our babies! Very caring and sensitive to each of our dog's needs!
Haven’t visited them yet, but I had a concern about my kitten and honestly the amount of help and information they provided over phone is unparalleled Here is my crazy kitten! Thank you EMAH team
Took my sick Pug there for the first time yesterday and was thrilled at the exceptional experience and fair pricing. This is unlike any other vet I have been to and I will definitely be back. They didn't try to push other things on me during my visit and although I walked away with 2 medications and a probiotic sample along with having had an exam for my Pug the total was less than $120. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a quality vet.
Best hospital Ever! They not only looked after my Dusty with pride & dignity, they made sure she was painfree. A special thanks to Diane, Dr Eric & Nicole for all your extra time & love for Dusty in her final minutes. You all acted above & beyond the call of duty and we will never forget, Thank you, Jimy & Kathy.
This is not a very good vet. when i took my dog here they made him bleed from tieing something around his nose. not good
We rushed here to help our dog, unfortunetly he didn't make it, This place took care of us though, and helped us make final arrangements. The staff was so understanding.
Clean, warm, caring and engaged. Just what my baby needs.
I would like to thank the staff and Dr.s for their compassion and care of our fur baby kitty, Nova. I recommend them to all Hamilton Dog Spaw clients ,and want everyone to know this clinic is very professional in the care. All our beloved pets use East Mountain animal hospital, we are very happy to have them
They are so kind and cared a lot for my cat. They have the best rates in Hamilton.
I would not recommend this place My mother’s dog died alone today and the staff wouldn’t even let my mother who is 84 stay with her until she passed. She was happy to just sit in a room with her but they were more interested in putting her back in the cage to die alone cold and alone I will never recommend this place ever
Very clean facility and friendly staff. They also offer grooming services and I only send my dog for grooming to them. They also have a cat as a staff member, a very laid back cat ????
Just started going here recently as I just moved to Hamilton. We took our cat in for a routine checkup and consultation with a small procedure needed and the cost was quite reasonable, especially when you consider that they are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The vet was very nice to our cat and ourselves, the staff was very accomodating and helpful. This vet also uses TIPS as a way to donate directly to ARF in Hamilton. They do a lot of great things, including dealing with rescues in Hamilton as well. I look forward to many more visits for convenience, attitude and experience.
Nice but they seem impersonal
So happy with this vet , had an emergency visit with my male dog and they treated him right away and gave me an estimated cost first! Then 3 weeks later had an emergency with my female dog and same response. I was amazed how they didn't try to add other expenses and how fast my dogs healed, by the second day both dogs were healthy and happy!
They are a really good animal hospital They took great care of Salem The only thing I did not like at the time is the curbside pickup because they did not have a bench or chair to sit on and I overheated and passed out 3 times and had to go to the emergency room because of it
Service is very slow unorganized even if called ahead of time. Called ahead drove 15 20 minutes cat still wasnt ready for pickup ended up waiting another 20min before they were ready
Don't go to this place for boarding!!! My dog Max has been going to this place for vet. check up and vaccines for four years ++ now. He also got neutered recently on this place and boarded for a few days sometime last year. The feedback that we got after his boarding last year was great so we thought of availing their service again. About 3 months ago, we booked Max for boarding again from June 30-July 3 and he also has scheduled vaccinations. The staff who assisted had me filled up a form for boarding and when she saw that we only feed him once a day, she was lecturing me that dogs should be fed twice a day. I was trying to tell her that he also gets a lot of treats and snacks during the day but she insisted to feed the dog twice, told her up to them but Max won't eat the 2nd feeding or there will be left over. As we are waiting for the consent form for the vaccination, the same staff came out and told me that suddenly Max was aggressive to her and that they cannot take him for the 4 days he is originally booked, maybe 1 day they can, but can't assure us that they can feed him or take care of him as they are not really a boarding place for dogs. They are busy and they don't have the time to take care of dogs such as Max. Funny, because boarding is one of the service they promote. Then kept on yapping about the medicine that Max should be taking prior bringing him to them. It's an anti depressant that they prescribe for dogs so he's calm but I was telling her that I don't remember them telling me to give it to Max prior bringing him to the vet. The anti-depressant was prescribed for him to calm down after he was neutered and for him to avoid scratching (there's some skin disease that he got from that place and Max kept on scratching it). But this staff won't listen and just kept on yapping. We were asking to speak to the vet but the staff got so defensive and agitated so we said we'll just leave with Max. As I got him from his kennel, I noticed that the floor where the dogs were siting is wet. At the same time, Max smells like a combination of pee and poo all over, not sure where it's coming from but that distinct smell is the same smell that he has every time he stays with them. So now, camping that we have planned since January might not push through, currently still looking for an emergency boarding that will take Max. And of course, the scheduled 3 vaccines that this hospital is supposed to be giving Max were not given. Now, looking for a new animal hospital/veterinary clinic to accommodate Max moving forward for his veterinary needs. Just sharing this experience to you. I suggest to look for other boarding places such as PetSmart (we had amazing experience with PetSmart, Max has been going there several times prior us trying East Mountain Animal Hospital). PetSmart staff are amazing, well trained and facility is clean). Initially, I had second thoughts for East Mountain Animal Hospital because it's a hospital but I just thought of giving them a 2nd try because the first boarding experience for Max there was great. Just a sad experience, with incompetence on their part, they lost a customer whose been their client for almost 5 years.
Lovely and efficient staff. Their grooming services are superb! They really take good care of our fur-family.
I have never had such a positive experience at an animal hospital before. We had called a week prior later in the evening to get advice about an ailment out dog had. We opted to go to another hospital and immediately regretted it. We visited this hospital the next day and instead of having a cost estimate thrown at us, the veterinarian actually took the time to diagnose and treat our dog. We came back a week later for a checkup and further treatment.
Completely disgusted by this vet. Too many problems such as rough with animals, neglect, long waits, money scamming, rude staff, and clueless vets. Dr. Dave Godara is really rude and incompetent. He was too scared to even go near my dog (small husky) therefor she was barely examined then he refused to treat her after partially examining her and lost his temper when I suggested what i think is wrong. He yelled at us and insulted us several times and told us to just leave, I was appalled as we had barely spoke 2 words to him.. was told by another staff that he has done this before and next time we should wait for our dog to get worse before visiting the vet... We visited a few times before and never got help for our dog despite all the testing and bills.
Wonderful staff and very knowledgeable veterinarians. We had to put our cat down back in November and they were very compassionate and kind, and even followed up after. They tried everything to help. More recently, we brought our new kitten in for booster vaccines and the staff were just as great! Very friendly, and love that they have flexible hours for appointments. Would definitely recommend!
In times when my dog need it emergency vet this was the only I repeat THE ONLY ONE vet emergency clinic which took as ASAP so thank you East Mountain Animal Hospital for your top service I highly recommend this place might be little bit far but totally worth the ride from now on one and only emergency I go too
I bring my cat 2 weeks ago because he had pain near his back end. They diagnosed him with a urinary infection. I take my cat to another vet today because he wasn't getting better...the doctor felt a mass WITH HIS HANDS near his kidney. Did an ultrasound and he has a large tumour wrapped around his kidney. We had to let him go today. What kind of a so called vet misses that!
This wonderful clinic has been my only place I have been taken my fur babies to for yrs! I have moved to Brantford and will NOT change vets , I will take the drive because this place is worth it, staff, vets , all around 100% in love and was a client before they moved from the front of the building to the back , I love the new open space. forever loyal.
Best place for your animals
When my dog began going here I was super excited , they were very good with her as she is a very timid dog. Although, today they publicly humiliated my mother by yelling at her about a personal matter relating to the payment after my mother had already talked to a staff member on the phone who told her it was okay to bring our dog. After my mom went to pick up our dog, a lady had told her that until certain things changed she will not be taking out dog home. She then proceeded to yell at my mom, telling her things that were not true at all infront of other customers to the point where my mother was in tears. My mother said she has never been so embarrassed and ashamed in her whole life. Unfortunately we will not be sending our dog back as today’s service was unacceptable.
Fantastic staff! Took such good care of my dog and got us in for an appointment ASAP. First time coming here but will definitely be back!
Excellent
Staff here are great...worth the drive out from where I live. Much cheaper than vets around my area and much nicer too
I just took my handsome boy Jack in yesterday to have him put to sleep. The staff and the dr. were excellent and had so much compassion for my dear Jack. He had kidney failure and in the end he had a stroke. I especially want to thank Lauren for her wonderful understanding and she really helped me get through it all. Can't thank you enough !!
They have very helpful and professional vet that saved my cat’s life who had urethral blockage and charged a pretty fair price. It has been one year and my cat haven’t had any problem after he got out of this place! I couldn’t emphasize more about how grateful I am.
Always very friendly and helpful
Awesome 24-hour animal hospital facility, great customer service/staff and excellent grooming services too! Very highly recommended!! ????????????
Great place and best prices for Hamilton area and the people here are very polite
Loved them but to far for me to cab it again.. thanks guys!!!!!
Very polite staff, very quick turnaround
always welcoming and very nice. they wont do unnecessary procedures on your pets. prices arnt crazy either. I had the put down my cat dec 2020 that I had since I was 14. I was aloud to be with him and have my best friend for support . I wasn’t rushed and was given a button to push when I was ready to call the vet in. The compassion these vets have is phenomenal. They have taken care of my family and my best friends. I highly recommend them. I have never been disappointed.
I was only taking my cat in for updating her shots but I felt like my animal was still important. She was cared for very well and I was given all the information I needed. There is something I have an issue with regarding this vet clinic. I understand that veterinary care is costly and that’s not an issue, however, the clinic doesn’t seem to treat everyone equally. For example, I had lost my job due to Covid last year but my oldest still needed to be seen desperately. When I talked to the receptionist on the phone, I was given my total which was way too high for me. She said they could work it out for me due to the circumstances so I was good and brought my cat in. Not only did they not follow through with trying to lower or set a payment plan up, but the price was nearly double what I had originally been told. I didn’t have enough to cover it and it was only because of a nice woman who had just lost her dog and overheard the situation that I was able to get my cat back, she paid for it so I can’t thank that person enough. Anyways, my moth brought her dog and cat in on separate occasions and they were more than happy to reduce the prices and take payments from her, even though she had no issues paying it. They were the ones who suggested it all! And yet, I couldn’t afford it and they made me feel guilty and neglectful. So yeah, they really should work on that. I think my only issue other than previously stated, would be(and this is on me, not the hospital) I need to give her something to calm her down. She gets very stressed when in the carrier and she became so stressed that she ripped out 2 nails trying to rip the front of her carrier open and also cut her lip trying to bite it open. I’m open to quality suggestions. I’ve tried CBD oil the vet gave me, I’ve tried a Gravol, Benadryl, etc and it doesn’t work. Anyways, even though it’s literally an hour away from me, I have made EMAH my go to vet.
Good vet. Great staff. Takes good care of my dog
The front desk was very professional. The doctor was not out to gouge my pockets he even let me off an x-ray because he did it without permission. Thanks again
Our order was incomplete. Didn't realize until we got home. Grrr
I had to call East Mountain Animal Hospital on Sunday night because 1. my cat was screaming in pain and 2. because my other vet (Beattie Ancaster) was closed on Sunday and their Stoney Creek Emergency location did not have doctors available (????). As I was upset that EMAH did not take me Sunday night, they booked the earliest appointment available for me for Monday morning to look at Fitzgerald. From the moment we got there they were nothing but nice and friendly and accommodating. Fitz was really sick and they broke it down for me calmly and let me know my options and a plan if I could not afford. I found their prices to be fair for the situation and I loved how everything was broken down for me. They called for the first initial update and I called once/twice a day going forward and they gave me a detailed review of what was going on with Fitz. Thank you for helping my baby boy. I will definitely be coming back to you as my regular vet for Fitzgerald. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a vet or needs to switch to come here.
My dog's needs are well taken care of here.
I have all my pets with this vet
Very clean, efficient service, friendly. And discount for ODSP! I would rather be with my dog because being without me scares her, but with present conditions I understand, and staff are extra gentle with her and with all the pets I see there.????
Even though it was the worst day of my life because I had to put down my dogthe stuff Island vet on site that they were amazing
East Mountain Animal Hospital has always been wonderful with our babies and taken great care for them. They go above and beyond for every animal and their families. At the moment we are losing our precious Jazzy, and it seemed to effect them as it is us. She was in hospital for 4 days, and they spent the extra time hand feeding her and cuddling her while she could not be with us. They are an amazing bunk of people that truly put the animals first and their families second. Thank you to each and everyone that helped in trying to save Jasmine. She is just to old and tired to keep fighting. But you compassion is helping us to come to terms with our next step. UPDATE: on Jasmine. Because of the care she received at East Mountain Animal Hospital she made yet another miraculous turnaround. She came home to say her goodbyes and the next day started eating and playing. She is now 16 and 3/4 yrs and still going strong. Thank you all for helping to save her and continuing her great care
A down to earth and honest vet who is willing to discuss treatment options and involve you in making the best choice. Very hands on and direct, highly recommended.
I've always had great Quick Service, they're really nice and friendly and knowledgeable and cared for my dog. I've gone in twice for emergency visits I don't get charged an emergency fee and my dog was seen right away. For that I'm grateful and highly recommend East Mountain Animal Clinic
For amazing affordable prices and shots for your pets this is your place. They don't pressure on any add-ons or give you nonsense fees that other vets do. I had compared my prices here with another friend of mine and she could not believe what her vet was charging her. The staff have been delightful and welcoming when they take in my kitty for any appointments. Would recommend for anybody who are looking to get their first shots. I'll be sticking to this vet from now on for any of my future visits.
My dog passed away at home recently. Our regular veterinarian was closed as it was a Sunday so we called East Mountain and they were able to take her in until we decided on cremation options. I’d like to thank the staff for treating Harley with compassion and respect even though she was no longer with us I think it’s so important to do that. Thank you for being kind and taking good care of her after her passing.
The cost is good...but sometimes you get what you pay for. Plus it being a low cost vet & 24 hours means it's always busy, all the time. I'd use them only if my vet wasnt open.
I brought my new rescue cat here for a dental surgery. She had two teeth taken out and the rest cleaned. They irritated a growth in her mouth which is now twice the size and left a piece of gauze behind that ended up in her stomach for three days until she puked it up. I understand mistakes happen but this is a pretty big one that could have been life threatening if it had caused a blockage. They handled the situation well by doing a radiograph on the house and sending me home with meds but I wouldn't trust them to care for her again and won't be bringing her back. What a waste of $1,200 and a traumatic experience.
Terrible clinic. Vets are unprofessional and some are rude. You never know who your animal is seeing and they do not review the files upon return with your animal. They do not seem to have a clear understanding of what's going on with your animals history. The staff are not pleasant and the environment is not welcoming. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this clinic to anyone.
Kinda expensive but they seem like they genuinely care ab your pets so 4/5 get pet insurance
All of the staff I dealt with at East Mountain Animal hospital were fantastic. You can tell they’re passionate about giving the best care possible of your pets.
I’ve always brought both my cats here for any emergencies I have had , unfortunately I’ve had to put my cats both down in the past 2 years both 15 and 17 years old. The staff are so friendly , the doctor is amazing, comforting and just all in all an amazing environment , nothing but compassion from this staff through the difficult time of saying goodbye to our furry friends, no rush through anything , making us and our cats feel comfortable the entire way knowing even after the procedure our cats were in good hands. We had gotten them both cremated and the prices were so reasonable compared to most vet offices. And They had even sent a sympathy card in the mail afterwards for Salem , my heart was touched. I truly could not of asked for a better vet, and have encouraged my friends and family and anyone to go there , your furry family memebers will be in good hands and the staff are there to help. Thank you kindly!
The staff and doctor were very helpful and concerned with the well being of our dog.
We have visited this vet often for our cats. We like that they are open 24/7 and there is no extra charge for evening or weekend appointments. We recently had to say goodbye to one of them and they helped us through each step of the process.
I love this place. I had a tiny emergency, and they let me come right there, helped a ton over the phone, helped me with exactly what I needed. Super last minute on my part but so thankful for them!
They were Excellent, so nice very pleased with the service.
Very caring and professional. Cares more for the animals then the money. Not like alot of the vets ive dealt with. This place will be my furever vet hehe
you guys are professional this saved my baby Chihuahua thank you so much
I know during these challenging time it's been hard to find vet services but rest assure this is a good one! Our doggy was very nervous going in but looked very happy and relieved when he came out! They seemed to take care of him very well, plus got him all updated with his vaccines ????. I am currently trying out a medication for our buddy and his itching, fingers crossed all goes well!????????
The best service and kindness, people I advise on the visit. The rescue team gave me a lot of food for the cats and took care of them a lot. The best care. Thank you all.
I took my hypothyroid cat here for a simple shave and blood work to determine thyroid pill dosage and pills. Walked out with a bill of over 600.00 and that was after a small senior discount. I get the cat shaved regularly with no problem as she is very prone to matting. Even the thyroid pills here were way overpriced. They nicked my cat while shaving her and charged me for suture, antibiotics, antiinflammatories and a cone. They don't take responsibility for their own actions. I have spent thousands there with my numerous pets but they have really gone downhill and their prices are outrageous. Beware. They injure your pet and charge you for it. Also misdiagnosed my FeLV cat. Said he had calicivirus.
Really good vet ,been with them for several years now. I love it..
Very friendly staff, my two pups enjoyed their visit for their shots. Will be making this our new vet.
Great hours...staff friendly....reasonably priced
Staff very nice. Working through covid not nice but thankful they are.
Staff is excellent doctors are great. I would recommend this vet to anyone. And have!
Took my cat here for the first time. It was a great experience, considering it's a Vet's office. The girls at reception were VERY helpful and informative!
You have to wait a bit for the vet so be prepared to wait a while. Otherwise pretty good.
Very friendly staff. They went out of their way to help me figure out which shots I needed for the kitty I adopted as I was given no medical history. Thanks again!
They helped me so much with my precious babe ????
Have always had good experience here and been bringing my dog here for a few years now, but but quite disappointed when calling today about having my dog's nails clipped and getting flea and tick medicine. They told me to get some clippers and watch youtube videos that it is not essential. i explained that my dog is a rather large dog and has black nails so i am not comfortable doing...they said nothing but were more than happy to give me the prices for the flea and tick meds. Will be looking for a new vet if that is how much they care about my baby. I wouldn't have called if I thought I could do myself. Who wants to spend money on things they can do on their own but my dog is now appearing uncomfortable. Thanks for the help. I didn't want to affect your reviews by responding with another review so I am editing this one. It was not anything to do with the pricing, it was more that perhaps you should have just conveyed that sorry we cannot do the nails, I totally understand the current climate. Telling someone to buy clippers and go on youtube to learn how to cut them is the issue. What would happen if my dog gets injured by those instructions because I don't know what I am doing? Do you really think it is sound advice to tell someone to go to youtube?
Friendly service and they seem to have patience for my annoying pet who cries like a banshee everytime she's there. They are also not pushy about getting you to hand over more ???? ????
I came home from work last night to find my little dog in obvious pain. My regular family vet was unable to take him that evening so I made a 9am appointment for the following day and watched him, soon realizing that he needed assistance before the next day. I took him over to East Mountain and Karen (with her little munchkin, Suki) was kind enough to squeeze me in. I was so relieved. Dr. Baha provided practical and efficient advice, and gave my little monkey metacam to ease his discomfort which also allowed me to rest. This morning my dog is perky and happy and his usual rambunctious self. I'll be going home at lunch to check on him, but I'm more than impressed. Thanks team!
if you love your pet do not take them to this hospital.
The lady Diane who works there has major attitude problems and is very rude. Had the worst experience with her dealing with my pet bills. The fact that she had to use foul language and raises her voice says enough about the place. The doctors were good but this lady is very unprofessional. Making it a very poor experience for my family of 4 dogs
The prices are good, the vets are terrified of large dogs, DO NOT EXPECT TO HAVE YOUR PETS SEEN ON TIME. THEY WILL SCHEDULE YOU FOR 5PM AND THEN NOT SEE YOUR PET UNTIL 5:30PM. You will be late for anything you have scheduled after an appointment at this clinic, so make sure you leave at least 2 hours between your appointment here and your next activity.
I took my cat in here for a Fever caused by an upper respiratory infection he stayed there for 2 days And when I went to pick him up He had the hotspot That was caused by their Negligence And they charged me over $800
Great vets care about the pets not people
This vet is one of my favorites in the City. Clean, professional and they don't rip you off. Unlike other vets in the City, this place doesn't price goug and they genuinely care about all animals. Whatever you do avoid the vet on Dundurn and Beattie. Definitely definitely highly recommended, from the moment you walk in the door you're treated with such kindness and compassion.
Brought my dog in for an emergency and they took extremely great care of him!
My cat escaped his enclosure. He is chipped. The animal services took him to East Mountain Animal Hospital after pick up on a Friday afternoon at 530. As per their contract as an after hours clinic for the city. The vet scanned him, knew he was chipped but did not contact me, They then did work on him without my consent. Turns out just a consultation. Prescribed meds for unknown reasons, and sent him to the shelter on Sat afternoon, still without letting me know after having him 24 hours....They consulted with my cat, not me, the owner, even though they had my information available. I wasn't informed that they had him until Sunday at 1 pm Fathers day. The shelter closed at 2.
They love money more than animals
Was forced to bring our dog here twice, because it was outside of our regular Vet’s hours. Staff seems judgmental and they do not seem to communicate effectively in their office. Callbacks are promised and never followed through on. We had to callback ourselves several times after receiving no word on our dogs condition. Pick up times are given and when the time comes it’s then revealed that “the doctor still needs to see her”. Keeping pet parents in the dark and keeping information from them is just as bad as a hospital that treats humans doing that to parents when their children are ill. It’s ridiculous. If you can avoid this place, do so.
They took good care of my senior cat, they stuck to their price and didnt try to take advantage of me. I was very concerned for my cat's wellbeing when I brought him in. He has since completely turned around. Buster is back, and I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart
The staff here are very kind, very helpful, and in my opinion the most i.lortant thing, they care more about animals than anything. They have treated my pets and my familys pets with the best love and care they could possibly give. Thank you East Mountain Animal hospital
This place was wonderful, girls so patient and calm I.was.so.pleased with the experience
East Mountain Animal hospital is a great place to bring your pet. They are very knowledgeable, and from what I see it's like they care more about your pets health and not just about money. I'm very happy so far, and I cant thank them enough for their help.
Everyone is polite and kind. Always clean!
Some of the staff is very nice and empathetic. The veterinarian could use some work. Very cold and uncaring when delivering information and bad news.
I went there today because I'm fostering a sweet female cat but I'm definitely not going back. The people were nice but the operation is SO disorganized. Almost given the wrong carrier, forgot we were waiting for meds, sent us home without a cone. Thank God there were other rescue people there to help me fill in all the blanks.
Provide good care to animals; caring staff; reasonable prices
Awesome to deal with every time!
There is absolutely nothing more that you could have done to make mine and Lucy's experience even better I just want to thank the staff for being absolutely amazing with Lucy I appreciate everything you have done you are very caring compassionate and thoughtful staff and that's why I keep coming back I brought all my animals to you and I will continue to do so in the future
If you are lucky, you will have the absolute pleasure of dealing with Samantha. Our golden retriever puppy became ill suddenly and we spoke with Samantha who gathered as much information as possible and customized their approach based on our dogs needs. Her level of customer service was not only exceptional, but she took the time to answer all of our questions in extreme detail and provided some recommendations when we had asked her professional opinion. Easiest 10/10 I have ever given. Thanks again Samantha, couldn't have done it without you and the team at EMAH.
Staff is amazing with the animals <3
I have been coming to this vet for years and they have always treated my dog siesta very well.the prices are very reasonable.i highly recommend this veterinary facility.
They have provided excellent care for many years past and present ongoing with our beloved pets and even at a time of loss their understanding and care have meant so much.
Our experiences are always great!
Poor communication and seemed like they were more interested in my money than trying to help determine the issue with my animal. I will likely go back to Beatties
No one likes having to go to the vet. It's expensive, it's stressful, and it's scary to be worried about your pets. East Mountain Animal Hospital is one of the only places I've ever taken my pets where both of us are comfortable. The staff is kind and understanding, and the cost of going to this particular clinic is great for the level of service they provide (and I believe they offer discounts if you have multiple pets with them, but I could be wrong). I have called concerned about my pets at 830pm, scheduled an appointment for 10pm, and out by 1130pm with everything I needed, and a sound mind + heart. The vets go the extra lengths to make sure you understand what's happening with your pet, and what all the risks are. I always appreciate that they are willing to go the extra mile to make both owners and pets happy. I genuinely recommend everyone I know with pets to this place. They are unmatched in my books.
Very kind and loving team at this hospital. I am thankful for the support we got during this difficult time with the last moments of my beloved poochie.
Some of the vets here are great, some of them are not. Specifically, I had an appointment with the vet that owns this location and he gave my dog medication and a vaccination without talking to me first. The nurse had indicated prior that the vet would come out and talk to me about what my dog needed, what was recommended or not, and why (other vets usually do this). However they just took my dog in and came out with the bill! I think this is extremely unprofessional, as I want to know WHAT my dog is taking and WHY. I called them when I got home and complained about this issue, but they didn't seem to really care. This is very unprofessional, and overall seemed like a bit of a cash grab as the nurse indicated the severity of his condition wasn't extreme. For this reason I would not recommend taking your pet to this animal hospital.
The experience was wonderful. The entire team showed our dog much compassion and Caring. The puppies were cared for in a kind and compassionate way and you all also treated us with so much kindness during a very stressful time. We were very worried about our female boxer during the very complicated labour she was having. Two other vets told us to just let it run it’s course but we knew something was not right. We came to you worried and scared and you reassured us you would do everything you could to save our beloved boxer and her puppies. And we believed you and you did just that. You didn’t take advantage of us financially which another vet had tried to do. You treated fairly, with warmth, kindness and compassion. You took care of our babies like they were your own ...all of you. Thank you so much from the bottoms of our hearts.
this place is horrible. i took my cat last year in may due to an infection in his neck. everytime there’s a new doctor. they have no idea what they’re doing. he gave my cat two different meds not sure what it would do to him. and he died less then a week after this.
I had a late night emergency and was very impressed with staff and Price's! Would highly recommend.
Best of the best of the best. Took very good care if my cat stormi. Very honest. Gave me an itemized list so i can see exactly what i am paying for. Valued my cats health. Is not money hungry. Amazing. Will only EVER come here. Took out unnecessary procedures/tests. ♡♡♡♡
The vet here had genuine concern for our pet you could hear it in his voice and see it on his face! This is what makes the difference to me ! To know they really do care, and my pet isn't just another body.
Awful!!!! They don't care about your animal... all they want is your damn money. NEVER going back, EVER!!! I REFUSED their service for my kitten because I didn't have the $600 dollars to pay up Front. This place calls the SPCA on me, and tells them my kitten has a BROKEN LEG!! The vet NEVER told me once it was broken, nor would my kitten be running if it were. The SPCA could clearly see, when they came to visit that my kitten leg was in FACT NOT BROKEN like this so called VET said it was..YOU BUNCH OF LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite the unfortunate circumstances of my visit and with covid, the staff were very caring and open to any questions
Staff is great my dog actually likes going!
I wish there was an option for zero stars. The receptionist Lauren is the biggest pain to deal with. She acts like she is so busy, huffing and puffing everytime she needs to do a simple task. Cant deal with the stress? Get another job. Read a book on what good customer service is and looks like. I spoke to one of the vets about Lauren, and he was not at all surprised by the interactions I had with her. He actually encouraged me to file a complaint about her. Guess it's not the first time she's been so charming.
I called to have my dog given an allergy shot and they got me in the next day. When we arrived they came out right away and took my dog in for his shot and clipped his nails at no charge.
Glad we took our cat here.the vet took the time to come out and explain what was happening and what was needed and it was nit a complete shock to see the bill.we will definatly be using them again.
Great vet...honest, very compassionate and friendly staff. Definitely going back for all my pets needs????
This is my first ever review. I am not the type of person to bring things online and rant about how bad my time was but this experience was unbelievable. I rescued a stray cat about 2-3 years ago. yesterday morning I woke up and realized that my kitty was having problems with balance and walking, realizing it was Sunday and this was one of the only vets open I decided to call them to set up and appointment for the same day. The lady I talked to advised me to come in right away because it didn't sound like the cat was doing well so I did. within the next hour I showed up to drop my little guy off to hopefully to get him some antibiotics. They told me that Legally they have to check for a microchip because he is a stray which I totally understand. They also said that if he was chipped they would have to try and make contact with the owners and see if they wanted him back. I told them I was super worried about the cat and if they could please update me as soon as they knew anything it would mean the world to me. 4-5 hours go by and I haven't heard anything. My anxiety was kicking in so I decided to give them a call. the lady answered the phone and I told her I would like an update because I haven't heard from them. She told me that the cat had fluid around his lungs and heart. They contacted the original owners and they ended up PUTTING THE CAT DOWN AN HOUR BEFORE I CALLED FOR AN UPDATE. Now I understand that the cat was legally their cat but I took him in and took care of him for 2-3 years when he was outside roaming the streets. All I wanted was a simple call saying that my cat was going to be put down and simply ask if I would like to come see him for 10 minuets. I dropped my cat off not knowing I would never see him again and they couldn't even have the decency to call me and let me know what was going on. Ive never felt so disrespected in my life. they said I would be receiving a call today to explain more to me but I also didn't get that call so I am leaving a review for everyone to see. don't go to this place. they don't care about anyone but themselves.
Well, covid is still around, so you cannot personally go into the vet's. You make an appointment, discuss your situation, and they usually give you a set time to bring your little furry little beast, and they will come out to you. You don't have to wait long, and the staff are super friendly!
East mountain animal hospital is by far the best place to take your pet. Very caring staff and the doctors are amazing! Thank you and keep up the great work.
They help me with my girl, right away i drove 1hr and will drive again to take my dogs again . Great service , great price and great staff ty
Everyone has their own opinion on which vets are awesome and which they think others should avoid, and every vet seems to have the same positive and negative reviews on their pages. I find this located to be my favourite as their availability is great, my pets never wait for hours at a time to be seen and are generally seen within 15 minutes of their booking time, and they actually give advice on whether they feel it’s worth spending the money on expensive tests and meds if the our pet truly doesn’t need it. I’ve only ever had 1 negative experience and it was simply due to one vet and his “attitude” a couple years ago.. we simply request other vets to examine our fur babies rather than him. Problem solved. Other than that one occasion, I’ve always had fantastic experiences. The front desk staff are generally very pleasant and friendly, and the vet techs are always super friendly and attentive. We recently moved to Welland, and I still make the drive to Hamilton for check-ups and urgent care. The best thing about this location is that it’s 24hrs. I’ve called vets in my area and they want $200 just to walk in the door.... I don’t think so!
The groomer is pleasant and did great work on our 7 month old puppy. Made appointment on Pet Desk and was accurate didn’t have to wait. 2nd time we have used her services and will being doing so again.
They took very good care of our cat. Staff were very caring and compassionate.
Absolutely amazing. Everybody single person here is amazingly compassionate, considerate, and welcoming. The prices are extremely reasonable too . We are, and have always been extremely happy with their services.
Great animal hospitals are very hard to find! So glad this one was recommended to me! Highly recommended!
Great vet and amazing discounts for people on odsp. They took great care of my cat I'm really grateful to them.
East MTN Animal Hospital went out of their way to accommodate my dogs emergency. My puppy is healthy and happy after her surgery.
I've never had a poor experience at East Mountain Hospital, I recommend them all the time since I'm kind of an overbearing pet parent. I get nervous over things that probably aren't worth worrying about. I love that I can call and talk to the office for advice and opinions. Even if I bring in my pets and it isn't something to worry about, I find comfort knowing the vets give them a quick check up at the same time. I've never felt forced or pressured to do any procedures and the vets always start with reasonably priced treatments instead of jumping to the most expensive option. Staff is always exceptionally friendly, can't say enough about them!
Everyone has different experiences and I feel I should post mine because this team deserves more than the 3.9 star rating they have. Long store short, my 14 year old dog was not well and we knew we had to make a decision. We called the vet at 1pm and requested a house call so that our furry friend could be at ease and surrounded by loved ones during his final moments. They arranged an appointment the same day for 5:30pm. They were very compassionate, gave us as much time as we needed, and handled our boy with the absolute most care. Though it was a very sad day for us, these people should be praised for the level of care and professionalism they provided. Thank you.
What a horrible experience we had here. Unfortunately we had to put our cat down, from internal bleeding not their fault, but the way they behaved was unbelievable. The first conversation consisted of how the outlook was not good, but after paying 800 we were told she was going to be fine ( very confusing and unfairly got our hopes up) so a couple days later While saying goodbye to our cat the girl actually brought in the debit machine, talk about all about the money and no compassion.
East Mountain Animal Hospital was able to take Millie without an appointment and I waited only a few minutes before you were able to see her. The doctor examined her chin which had a scab on it and I didn't know what it was and he reassured me it was from her scratching. So he recommended a one-time flea treatment and sent her home with a cream 2x a day for 10 days to heal her chin. The girls at the front desk were and always are so very helpful, and wouldn't be working here if they weren't kind and caring animal people. They are always most helpful and efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Keep up the great work everyone! Many thanks Stephanie & Millie Casey
Fabulous place always very clean . And the Dr tells you in English terms not in medical terms he explains the procedure step by step. There prices are very good . It's a pleasure going to the vet.
Thanks for helping my cat you guys did a good job fair price and thanks for not rushing him out also thanks dr. Dave for the extra help and info I'm going to strongly recommend you guys and you guys are our new vet thanks again
We were very happy with the services we received for our new puppy. Our visit was reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly and professional. Will be bringing our other dog here as well in the future.
This was my second appointment and I was very disappointed for both. The first appointment I waited over 1 hour for someone to come take my pet inside for her appointment after the scheduled time. The only reason I return for this second appointment was because the technician I dealt with was very apologetic and extremely nice. I called to schedule my cat in for her second shots and was told its a bit early but it was fine and she could be booked in. I arrived at my appointment on time and called 5 minutes before to advise I was outside. 30 minutes passed and I had to call again to ask if someone was going to come get my pet for her appointment and was rudely asked if i called before to notify I was here.. in which i responded that i did. 10 minutes later a technician came out and I said that i had a concern I would like her to discuss with the vet. The technicians said it was too cold outside and asked me to come in so I did and explained my concern. She rushed me the whole time I was explaining. 10 minutes later she came back outside with my cat and said she's too young still for the shots. I asked her why I was booked in then and what the vet said about my concerns. The entire time this conversation was happening she was still holding my 14 week old cat outside in the cold. I asked her to let me put her in the car. I asked what the vet said again and what the medication is for and why she is getting it. She responded with the instructions are written on the medication. She wouldn't explain exactly what was wrong or why she was getting this medication. After reading the instructions it was powder to put in her food for digestion issues. I would have appreciated some kind of explanation or reasoning to the digestive issues … instead I was left in the dark and treated like it wasn't an issue worth talking about.. . I take my pets health very serious and left feeling confused and unsettled. When I asked about re-booking an appointment for her vaccination I was told to call sometime in a few weeks. I will not be returning to a clinic that makes me feel they don't value my pets health. The technician should have taken the time to explain the medication and answer my questions. I should have also been told she was too young for her second shots as they have a record of her first shots. This was such a waste of my time and additional stress on my cat for no reason. Awful service
I had a sick cat that had to be put down... they were so kind and were so caring for not only my cat but me as well... this is one of the most emotional things I have ever had to do...they were very good about the fact that I was crying... I will definitely continue to use them... Thanks so much for your support today I really appreciate it...R.I.P Gizmo...
During a stressful time when our cat was in need of being seen urgently, East Mountain was there to assist. We had called 6 other vets including our own who had no time to fit him in. The emergency service our own vet told us to call wanted $140.00, just to walk in the door! East Hamilton is very reasonably priced and the staff fit us in right away. The staff was very empathetic towards us and helped us through this difficult time. The doctor was upfront about his condition and did not push for any further testing noting his age and progression of his condition. Sadly, we decided it was best to put him to sleep with all the information provided. Staff were incredible with kindness, allowing us the time we needed to say goodbye to our furbaby and even though only one of us could be present with him while he passed (due to restrictions with covid) we are very thankful one of us was present for his final moments. To the staff at East Mountain thank you for your assistance today, we highly recommend your services.
My dog received a top-notch grooming!!!
They took great care of my pet before i jad to say good bye. They were very comforting.
Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful
The entire staff was extremely kind, compassionate, skilled, and knowledgeable. Excellent care was provided for my pet.
Beyond dedicated... this staff couldn't be more hardworking and compassionate. Was there every step of the way whenever my cat needed care. Answers any question in a patient and friendly manner. Clean, bright space. You can tell their staff truly loves animals.
Visited the clinic to get our dog Buddy checked out after they ran some tests. We wait for a call and do not get one so we call back and request to speak to Dr. Dev. He says that he agrees the tests SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE since the medication he was on was still in his system and will make sure he consults his colleague and will get back to us. 3-4 days pass and we need to push to get an answer/ call from Dr. Dev. Eventually he reluctantly gives us a call and is extremely disrespectful. He went on to make derogatory accusations and comments claiming what he did was fair and that he has made his money and we are free to go elsewhere. An animal is a living being and treating them with disrespect is not okay. We have taken our dog to another doctor and the diagnoses was COMPLETELY different. Please pick your vet carefully.
Always good when I bring my pet in
my 16 year old cat Rusty was having some breathing and weight loss issues. I was able to get an appointment right away that worked. Rusty was not the best patient but they were very understanding. Worked with him and found what his issues where. We were able to bring him home later with meds after a check up and blood work, they where very compassion and consured. Everyone was very nice ???? ❤
The best place for your loved one
I was very happy with the care we got for our Guinness! As we had stated, our family is fairly new to the Hamilton area and we did not have a regular vet chosen as of yet. We feel fate brought us in the night to your clinic and not only is our Guinness doing much better, we got solutions for her ongoing care and we are happy to report that we would like to continue with Your clinic for our regular care. We will see you in the future and thank you again.
Took our beautiful and healthy year old cat to get fixed. Picked up her body the next day. RIP
I brought a stray cat in for scan. He had a chip, they called the owner....cat is home. Perfect
EXCEPTIONAL! I came here after calling around on a Sunday trying to find a vet that was open as my usual vet was not. The vets that I was able to speak with quoted me an astronomical figure to save my cat from a urinary obstruction. We had no means to pay for this and were trying desperately to find a way to come up with the money to save my cats life. I was made to feel like there were no options when I spoke to other clinics but wow, what a difference when I called this animal hospital. Not only did the vet save my cats life at the fraction of what I had been quoted everywhere else, but I had the pleasure of working with the most compassionate, caring veterinarian I have ever met. She was in close contact with me every step of the way and provided options that were within my means. The entire staff that I dealt with went over and above for us today and I can’t thank them enough. You have gained a new client for life as I will always bring my animals here for future care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr Ellis and everyone who helped us with Speedy today.
I had heard good things about East Mountain. You surpassed my expectations in such an awesome way!!! Our little rescued kitten needed help, and you had an appt that very night. Our little Ahab was looked at quickly, and with eyedrops and deworming, made our night better. We will be back for further care for our little Ahab. Thanks to all, and the vet. Hopefully someday when this pandemic is over, we get to meet everyone in person.
They take wonderful care of my dog.
I never leave reviews, but before you go here you should probably consider this story. I found my dog, healthy 6 year old doodle, had these hard little scabs on the top of his snout. I carefully cleaned the area, inspected and what not, and figured I would call the vet the next day. I inspected him some more the next morning and found he had one on the top of his head too. I had had some poor experiences with the same vet I’ve always taken him too but a different location, that vet was great but the specific location near my new home was less than ok. So I gave this vet a shot, I called and explained everything and where the scabs were, the girl on the phone was great! I had high hopes. We took our dog, his name is Jeff, to the vet later on the same day. They came to our car, girl was very friendly, I filled out the form and she came back and took the form and jeff inside while we waited in the car. An hour goes by (which is fine, covid and what not) and I am not called and given any update on him, nothing. They just brought him back outside with a tube of ointment and a debit machine. I asked the girl “ok so what was wrong with him” and she didn’t know, I asked if it was normal to not even be given an update and she said “no the vet should have called you and explained.” So I said I’d feel more comfortable paying the 150$ for the ointment and the visit if someone could tell me what’s wrong with my dog, what happened, and what the ointment I’m buying even is. I said I would wait outside, and the vet could come out and talk to me please. The vet comes out, tells me “it could be bug bites, it could be dry skin, it could be scratched from another animal” so basically… he didn’t know. So I asked him “well you shaved his nose, did you get the one on his head?” And he said he didn’t know there was one on his head… I told them there was, and it clearly shows he didn’t even inspect my dog at all to see if there were any other ones. Then he said “I’ll get the one on his head now” and he calls my dog over to the window of the car, and without gloves he takes his actual finger nail and just starts aggressively scratching Jeff’s head scab off of his head and holding him in place. My dog ripped his head away and almost jumped onto my lap on the front seat. The fact that I didn’t know where his hands had been, and I’m paying 150$ for someone to pick my dogs scabs off of him with their bare hands and then not even do it nicely… what the actual hell. The vet couldn’t give me any answer and he just walked away. 150$ later, don’t know what’s wrong with my dog, what the scabs were, or anything. Such a joke of a “vet” if you ask me.
Thank you to the vet at East Mountain Animal for the care you gave to my dog at the end of her life. Jen a special thank you for your compassion towards me and my family at the most difficult time of our life. Saying goodbye is never easy! RIP Lady
Always amazing with my animals and amazing service they explain in detail
I brought my cat in to get fixed and ever since he came home he hasn't eaten much in the last week. I called immediately 2 days later when he didn't even touch his favourite treats and is now constantly hiding behind the couch and whimpering. They said to wait a few days because of pain meds. A week later still the same issue so I brought him in and they said he is fine and tried to sell me more pain meds. They didn't even take a blood test so how would they even know if he's actually okay? I had to book an appointment with a new vet and waiting on blood results. There's is also a decent sized lump I just noticed today on his upper leg after taking him in for a follow up and they did not even mention this to me. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I was very happy with the care of my cat. They did what they could to keep the cost down. N gave me a list of things from importance to least. So i know how my h to save for my little guy
This is by far the best animal hospital I've ever been to. The staff is extremely friendly, loving, knowledgeable and helpful. The owner of this hospital is one of the most caring and helpful person I've ever met, giving you his full time and attention. This hospital amputated my cat's tail after she would constantly bite at it, charging us their lowest rate. They are 24 hours, extremely reasonable and always available. Even on the phone they always remember us and help us out with any questions. Don't hesitate to bring your pets here, they are in the best hands! I've never had to wait and I've always had positive experiences. I'm moving all of my pets here because I know there's no other animal hospital I would trust.
We brought our kitten to East Mountain Animal Hospital for her spaying surgery and I have nothing but positive things to say about this clinic. They were very informative of any questions or concerns we had, they assured us that our kitten would be well taken care of and no hidden fees to pay out. Our little baby is recovering just nicely! I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone who has pets! The clinic is also aesthetically pleasing:)
I can’t say enough about the staff and vets that work here. They will do anything they can to save you money and trouble shoot issues before running a bunch of expensive tests. I’ve called for information over the phone and they’re just as helpful as in person. They care so much about you and your pets! Not to mention the best prices I’ve seen! appointments are easy to get and fairly on schedule. Switch your vet now!! These guys are #1
The staff are very helpful and very kind since this pandemic hit its been hard for pet parents not to be with there babies but they will come out to you and give you updates on how your pet is doing love all the support they give you
Good service expensive.
Our cat, Wilson was seen and very well cared for the days leading up to Christmas...all the staff are exceptional and it's obvious they all love animals. Latte and Harold are an added bonus! Thank you ever so much ????????
Staff here is always very friendly and helpful. My dog Oakley is always happy to go to his appointment whether it’s for grooming or vaccinations. With Covid we aren’t allowed to go in with our pets but I’m at ease that they are just as …
My new kitten ARia was not eating and we called this vet. They checked her over and gave us advice same day for a very low fee. Thanks guys
Fantastic staff took great care of my dog Jake. 3 days later like new as leg was never sore strongly recommend with no hesitation. Have new vet now.
Set up an appointment for October 27th. Booked the appointment to get vaccinations and a urine analysis for my dog. Couldn't get my dog to pee in a container with the assistance of one of the staff members and it was cold so I told the staff member I'd get the urine sample at home. When they came out with my bill it was much less than what I was told. I asked them if my dog got her vaccinations because the price seemed too low. They weren't even aware that she needed the shots done and said to bring the dog in again next time.... Which was frustrating because I'm very busy. I'm not sure if they even read my dogs file fully. Moving forward, it took me three days to get the urine sample, its a lot more difficult than it sounds lol. Once I finally got the urine sample I immediately called East Mountain Animal Hospital (ON OCTOBER 30th) to ask if I I could refrigerate it for a day as I was very busy with work. They asked me to bring it in right away because it can "crystalize" if its been sitting for too long. Meaning they wouldn't be able to get a good reading unless it was fresh urine. I moved some of my day around so I was able to bring it in immediately to prevent this from happening. 4 days later and I still haven't heard anything from East Mountain Animal Hospital. I decided to call on the fourth day (NOVEMBER 2ND) to see if the results came back. They told me that they were supposed to call me today (which they didn't, I called at 430pm) to let me know that the urine sample sat too long and they would need me to collect another one. So I basically rushed there to drop off the urine that ended up spoiling in there own fridge anyways. Even though they are very nice over the phone, I'm very frustrated with how unreliable they have been with my dog Nova. I booked an appointment Oct 27th for vaccinations and urine sample. It is now November 2nd and my dog hasn't had her vaccinations (because they were unaware for some reason why the appointment was booked) nor urine results back. Don't usually leave a review but I felt the need because this has been the worst experience at a vet yet. Seems like they are disorganized.
A very trusted hospital, especially in this pandemic. We've not been able to go in, but following our babies neutering, the girls were so helpful and reassuring when I called, as he stayed overnight. Now, my husband just takes our baby boy every 3 weeks to get his nails cut. They always have time for our baby Greyson. Great place!
Friendly service. The girls are professional and helpful and well informed. It was kind of busy and we were told it would be a least a half hour wait. Our appointment time was changed the night before. When we informed one of the girls, it didn't feel like very long at all.
There clueless give you bad diagnosis and basically shrug there shoulders stay far away
Our dog had been unwavering diagnosed with food allergies by our vet. After 4 months and thousands of dollars, our dog was still suffering. A family member recommended we get a second opinion by their vet, East Hamilton Anilmal Hospital. We called and was given an appointment for that same day. Dr. David was fantastic. He gently addressed our dogs skin issues. Did a few tests and thoroughly explained his findings and ideas for treatment. Our pet seems less stressed and more at ease and it did not cost us an arm or leg!!!! I would highly recommend this Vet to all who want the best for their pets.
Had to take my dog in for an emergency at 1 AM on a weekend, and these guys took care of my dog and I. Never been here before but would come back for anything. Thank you for your help!
We had no trouble arranging an appointment for the same day. Thought that everything was well organized from parking lot. Medication seems to be working well keeping our ten year old cat comfortable. Thanks for that ????
We take our dog and cats here, and have never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the vets are awesome. They do what needs to be done and don't try to sell you on unnecessary tests/procedures. Can't see how there's a better animal hospital on the mountain.
Not allowing anyone in the office. They come collect your pet and then return them to you after. Efficient and organized.
Came here for the first time, for an emergency, as my vet wasn’t open and they were very quick, thorough and didn’t charge me nearly as much as I expected it to cost. Definitely go here!
Absolutely amazing clinic!! You can tell they love animals. Their service is great. They took care of our shitzu under an emergency situation when we were traveling. They were so great, that we drove back an hour (twice) to see them. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a vet. Worth the drive!! Dr. Brousseau is a great doctor. The receptionist was so helpful and kind!!
DR Dave is great thank you! SSM
I was very happy with everything about our first appointment and trust them with my cat’s care.
Pleasant friendly social distancing employee contact outside of clinic in transferring my cat to them for his vaccines and the payment????
The vet is ok but they are having way too many organizational issues with the number of clients coming here. It's been THREE TIMES that they make a mistake and had to wait for over 40 minutes from my scheduled appt. I understand there's a lot of demand for your service, but don't book me if it's going to take way longer than my appointment time.
Poor customer service skills by the front receptionist, I informed her I was there to pick up my cat but she never informed the vet. I sat in the front lobby for 11/2 hrs before anyone asked me why I was there. Guess she was too busy on the computer and the phone to get out of her chair.
There nice ppl there good to my babies
Made an appointment for 9:00 p.m. for my cat who has a swollen paw. Got put into a room shortly after arriving. Around 9:30 was told an emergency had come in and would be a bit longer. Left at 10:15 p.m. without seeing the doctor. I think 1 hour and 15 minutes is a bit excessive when you had made an appointment. Biggest frustration is that my cat still has a swollen paw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will not be going back.
This vet is amazing. I’ve already sent two friends who were unhappy with/in need of a vet to them. They are amazing. Vets that give good service and acceptable prices are hard to find. But a vet like them with outstanding service and good and fair prices is a gem!!
I have been going to this clinic for years with multiple cats. The service is always great and accommodating. The prices are really fair and they never do any type of procedures without consent from the owners. The new location is a great step up and I am glad to see them growing. I recommend them, especially if you have an,after hours issues (non-emergency) or you work awkward hours they can always fit you in during the evenings. Even as a walk in, the wait is never really long.
Friendly staff, and very accommodating to new clients. They were able to see me same day for an issue with my pet, and charged a reasonable rate for an examination and medicine.
Staff are very kind. Took great care of my Morkie. ???? Thank you.
Do not go here. My sister took her 8 week old lab puppy to this location. He had been itching at his ear and as a precaution she decided to get him checked out. What she was not prepared for was the puppy being administered flea and de-worming medication without her consent. THE PUPPY HAD RECEIVED THIS MEDICATION 5 DAYS PRIOR. Now the puppy has been overdosed with the de-worming medications. Due to the vets extreme negligence, they did not bother asking her prior to, as she would have been able to provide the vet with this information. When she responded with anger and frustration, she was told she would not be receiving a refund (they had charged her for the service, without making her aware of said service) because she had sworn at them. Given the circumstances I find the vets inability to take responsibility for his actions extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend.
Great service, highly recommended. Amazing staff and understanding to each costumer. Overly impressed . Ty east mountain. Will def see u again and refer all my friends to u
My dog was showing signs that she needed help from a vet. My own veterinarian office closed and cancelled our appointment for the next day. Not their fault, but I was disappointed for my dog. Was waiting for the date I was told to wait for. Of course, the dates are meaningless, everywhere. There answering machine mentioned their sister service. I phoned, had a phone appointment with a vet the next morning. By afternoon, my dog had two prescriptions. I was happy enough with the cost. More importantly, my dog is being herself again, within a couple days. That is priceless. ????
This animal hospital is all about the money and not the animals. I took my dog in less than 6months ago for an ear infection, At that time I paid for a check up( $100) and medication ($120). My dog is now experiencing the same symptoms and requires a refill of his ear drops, but they wont refill unless I can come up with an additional $100 so he can see the Vet AGAIN. I explained to the clinic that my dog is in pain and they told me if I cant come up with the money to see the Vet then my dog can't get a refill of ear drops. Not sure why I need to pay $100 for the Vet to tell me that my dog needs ear drops. Anyone know a Vet that genuinely loves their patients?
Not very smart at all doesn't know much go somewhere else if you want a proper diagnosis and your pet to be alive. Will never go there again. Worst vet in the city.
Waited over an hour and a half in the parking lot. Always behind schedule. Not acceptable!
I will say ,that they show incredible care and compassion ,not only for the animals, but to their owners.Thank you!
This place is very efficient quick and reasonably priced and very friendly
We called Saturday evening as I was bringing home a pup who had previously been neglected and abused..... at 8 months old she had never seen a vet or even been dewormed. They were absolutely fabulous with helping me get what we needed and understood that she would definitely be a handful for the appointment. They seemed to truly care about her and I felt really lucky I could put faith in them with my newest baby. With having young kids in our home they really helped us keep our kids and baby safe during the wait and honestly I'm going to switch my Kitty to this vet they have my trust and I'm hoping they will be as good with this rescue as they were with my pup. Sadie who's name is now Pandora will definitely be back in a few weeks for her boosters.
Amazing staff, got my dog in quickly and was patient with him since he's not the easiest to deal with
Great place, great staff. Love the new location, the people here really go above the bar to make sure your family are taken care of.
Terrible Vet. I had to bring my dog to this vet because it was outside of the business hours of my regular vet. My dog was having seizures, this was new, and they were becoming more frequent. She went from having zero seizures to 1 seizure a day, to 2 a day all within 5 days. She had a seizure but lost control of her bladder, that's when I called the Vet Hospital, I could wait for her appointment at our regular vet. They told us to come right up, so we did. We were there a total of an hour and a half as an "Emergency". The vet never came to see us because I we walked out. I decided to call my vet and go in as an emergency during business hours. She was given medication and told she may not have much longer to live. The vet was right, she passed away that night. East Mountain never called to see if she was OK, or even apologized for the long wait. But instead, 3 months after she passed they decided to send me a postcard to say she was due for her Heartworm test. That was sweet of them, considering she was never seen by a Doctor. But, I am more than welcome to go spend money there again, any time. This vet only cares about your money, not your furry family member. Please be very cautious if you decide to go to this vet.
Our family dog Maggie recently passed away. This clinic took care of all cremation arrangements. Team was caring and understanding, special thank you to Samantha who guided us through this difficult and full of tears time.Thank you.
I brought in a teenager and his young dog who had been hit by a car. The woman at the front desk Lauren gently took the pup out of the owners arms and rushed him right to the back to get immediate attention from the vet. The poor kid was an emotional wreck and crying and in a panic about his pup and Lauren was so compassionate and helped to calm the young owner down, she could totally understand his panic and she went above and beyond to explain everything that was going to happen to his dog. The vet was totally awesome along with the rest of the staff who helped work with the pup ...I can't thank you all enough for helping this sweet kid and his dog. It was a wonderful ending. You made a kid so very happy that he was going home with his best friend. Thank you!
Caring and respectful of your pet and emotional support for the fur parent.
They have the best, well informed, caring, go out of their way staff! We appreciate the multi pet discount too!
East Mountain Animal Hospital is very reliable and works with me with all my cats and dog. I have three animals and all the staff have all been great to all of them. I've had my dog vaccinated and my cats shots all done there and I've never had any problems. Even during lockdown, they were very accommodating with scheduling and planning special visits. The email reminders are great too and they don't spam you with emails. Great staff and very friendly.
They are always very good to me and have always been truthful and honest i will always being my pets to them the staff is very nice thank you guys for being there for the pets
Pet owners beware. So many absolute horror stories of this place.
Technician was friendly (to me and my dog). Service was prompt and well executed!
Very satisfied! The cost is great, employees excellent, veterinary even better. Very informative, efficient, and up front. Vet took the time to explain situation, answered all my questions, and gave me clear care instructions. Was able to get an estimate quickly. Able to book appointment quickly. I will be returning in just over a week. I thank all of you for providing a great service and taking good care of my dog. Thank you! Please continue to provide our community with excellent care for our beloved pets. Thanks again!
It was our first time with our dog. They were all so nice. I am so glad we changed our vet. Doing this can be very stressful but from the start they made us feel welcome and we knew our dog was in good hands. Thankyou to all the staff.
A blessing to have these vets and staff. Thorough and compassionate. EMAH takes ODSP recipients and do their best to help.
We have been long time clients of this practice and always admired their kindness and professionalism. When we had to put our beloved dog down they were so patient and kind with us and gentle with him. Thank you for making a heart wrenching experience just that little bit kinder.
The staff is so incredibly friendly, I'm so happy to bring my bunny here for her nail trims they do a great job!
Great customer service, they seem to really love pets. Will definitely be coming back, I have found my new veterinarian. Great service and great prices. Will recommend to anyone that wants to see their animals well cared for.
They were pretty good the few times I took my dogs in, although I was ticked that they had forgotten to give my dog a needle I had asked for. In all fairness, because they followed up via email and text afterward, I was alerted to this. At first they were going to charge me full price for bringing my dog back under a “healthy pet check”, which would have cost me an additional $40+, but because I said I’d asked for the needle the owner personally called me and said they’d allow it for half the price $21 as some time had lapsed and they couldn’t just administer the test without vet checking my dog 1st. I agreed because I had not caught the mistake on my bill and they were really good with me previously charging me no boarding fees when I had to leave my dog when she was sick. Overall they took good care of my pets!
Had to bring my cat in to be put to sleep. Found the girl at the desk was rude and completely lacked compassion
My kitten was having some diarrhea issues and they were the only animal hospital that answered their phone. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Their prices were in my budget as well. This is officially my vet office of choice.
The staff there are amazing always willing to help and find a solution to any problem would recommend this to anybody who loves their animals
Had to put my 15 yr old cat down the other dày he was in pain couldn't get his breath or make it to his litter box it was time.. these guys where so nice, brought my 11 yr old daughter with me and my husband ,not once they rush us out, explain everything to my daughter what will happen and took there time. We will be back that was our first time there....
Today, my dog passed away. He was suffering from heat exhaustion, and when I saw that he was not recovering, I called the closest animal hospital that was open. I called twice and was put on hold twice and then was told they were not accepting new appointments. Really?? What kind of emergency animal hospital are you? This service (or lack thereof), is beyond my comprehension. Isn't an emergency by it's very definition, unplanned? My dog passed away at another hospital. As a furmom of 2 other dogs, and an animal advocate, I will never recommend this hospital. You should actually be ashamed of yourselves.
I have a rescue dog with a lot of special needs and Lauren specifically has been so accommodating and went above and beyond to help anyway she could. Because of her I'm pulling my other two dogs from their current vets to get them into here.
Usually friendly and no pressure to get unnecessary things everything is explained and you're never guilted into any tbing
First time using them, they got my dog in same day as she was limping. Other places I called either didn"t answer or said nothing until July even when i said she cant walk! So friendly, price was VERY REASONABLE!. Told my son who brought her in once medication is finished to call and let them know how she is doing! Excellent service!
I was not going to have a good outcome of my appointment and I knew it. We went hours early because my dog got rapidly worse. Unfortunately we didn't make it with him. Thank you so much for the compassion and care you have us and Noah. I will not hesitate to reccomend you to our friends.
Visit was perfect! Kind, professional, caring staff. Very prompt. Explained my pups issue in detail and in a way I could understand. I would not change a thing about my experience.
Karen was a lifesaver tonight. Thank you for your kindness, tips, and patience with Buddy and I. Greatly appreciate it!
Took over 15mins on the phone for them to find my account so I could pay. My daughter took her dog there told them numerous times he was dog reactive and should she muzzle the dog. They said no, brought the dog out the door as one dog was coming in and of course a scrimmage incurred. Doctor told my daughter she would have to pay if any treatment needed for other dog, even tho numerous times they were informed of his reaction to other dogs (which she has been working on this everyday with trainers as he was a rescue and this has set him back weeks). Then we had animal control called on us because of the facilities failure to listen to what my daughter stated. Obviously not returning.
I cannot stop talking about how wonderful the staff is here. I phoned late at night explaining an issue I was having with my dog and fully expected the worst. Initially I spoke to a man over the phone and he assured me there was a solution that would fit in any price point. Firstly, he told me what my concerns could be. Prices over the phone were easy and SUPER affordable. After telling him I couldn’t make the trip IN with my dog because of her condition, he put me on hold and spoke to the vet. When he returned he told me to come in and there was a product I could come buy, which cost me $11 only, to help her feel well enough to make the trip OR it could be a simple fix to a simple problem. In the end, the compassion and willingness to put “the customer” first, he saved me $500+ and if that wasn’t reason enough to choose this vet over any other, when I walked in to pick up the powder, the girl at the desk walked me through additional steps to help her if the powder wasn’t working, when to expect results, what else could be “red flags,” and told me not to worry. Because of the treatment I experienced here, I have pulled all 3 dogs from my current vet and will never see anyone else for their care. Thank you SO much to the staff for their compassion and their efforts.
Best vets office ever. Lauren specifically is amazing. So kind and caring and goes out of her way to help anyway she can. Gotta get that girl a fruit basket or something.
I had never used this vet before. It was recommended to me to be a decent vet with decent prices. We had rescued a feral kitten and I wanted to get her a check up and her first needles. I made an appointment with the recommended vet and then was told he didn't come in so I had to see another vet. That was disappointing. The vet I saw was efficient, however she wanted to take my kitten to the back to have her nails cut and a burr removed from the fur on her stomach. Why they couldn't do it in the examining room is a huge question and I hate it when vets do this because then the owner cannot watch how the vet tech/vet are treating the animal. Next thing the vet is coming into the examination room to tell me they lost my kitten. Apparently this 1.5 kg kitten had bitten the vet tech who let her go/dropped her and she ran away. The vet tech had two puncture wounds on her hand. I personally saw the wound. I searched the back of the vet for my kitten to no avail. They said they would call me when she was found and they would keep her in a kennel until the morning once they found her. This was an outright LIE as they actually put her in her tiny carrier with no water or food for 9 hours. She was covered in poop when I got her home - she had been dewormed by the vet when she got her needle. When I called to question this I was told by Corissa that the kitten was in a kennel. I demanded to speak to the owner. When I spoke to the owner Ermilla I was told by Ermilla that the kitten was put in the carrier and not a kennel. Ermilla also told me she was the manager of the vet clinic and denied being one of the owners. I feel this clinic is extremely unprofessional. Their vindictive act of putting the poor kitten in a tiny carrier all night because their vet tech got bit is poor customer service. Their vet tech needs more training to avoid getting bit. They lied about putting my cat in the carrier all night. Please avoid this vet. They lie and their service is inferior. The Cat Clinic may cost a little more but the service is so above this vet clinic's it is well worth it. My poor kitten was so traumatized by this vet clinic.
Thank you Dr.Bekit .. always 10/10 and the only Dr. my pets feel comfortable around
Had to come here to say goodbye to our elderly cat. The staff were very understanding and sensitive through the whole process. It was a difficult thing to go through, but they made it easier and it was really appreciated. Thank you for showing compassion at a tough time for us.
This place is absolutely disgusting. They cast my dogs leg and theee days later he was infected and skin competed damaged underneath the cast. I am using. A fake name to post for my own privacy. I had to take him elsewhere to have the cast removed and his skin tears repaired and cleaned bc they pasted the cast on his bareskin. Expect a lawsuit very soon
My pet developed a respiratory infection during a holiday weekend and this was the only clinic who had the earliest availability and closest proximity to my home. Other more reputable clinics were unfortunately backlogged or simply not taking new clients at that time. The only reasons why I can't give this rating less than 1: - Google reviews won't allow me - The receptionists I spoke with were consistently respectful and courteous in all my interactions with them After my pet was assessed the doctor prescribed antibiotics and explained the daily dosage amounts and how many days I had to continue dosing my pet. I went home and complied with the prescription. After a few days, I noticed the remaining volume did not look sufficient to cover the remaining days. I called the clinic and had to explain to the receptionist that the starting volume dispensed was not sufficient for the prescribed dosage. Receptionist immediately logged an inquiry for the doctor to follow up on. Receptionist confirmed the doctor would call me back either later in the evening or the next morning to confirm if my pet needed a refill. I did not receive the call that evening (I placed the inquiry early morning) so I followed up and the receptionist assured me the doc will respond by the next morning. By late afternoon the next day, still no call. I call the clinic again to follow-up on whether the doctor was going to prescribe a refill to make up for the error in the volume dispensed. The receptionist checked the notes and said that the doctor's response was that "there's no need to refill [my pet's] antibiotic prescription if [my pet] is feeling better". From a client's perspective, this is extremely unprofessional. 1. Either lack of diligence from the doctor in coordinating proper medication volume or doing basic math... who knows. 2. Lack of communication with their team in getting back to me at the promised times. Please do not contact me for "further details" or to "see how you can help resolve my concerns". I'm never coming back to this clinic again.
Great service and they take great care of my dog. Highly recommend their services
The doctors at East mountain show they are very caring and concerned about the health of my cat. They have helped me so much to bring my cat back from not eating to enjoying his kibble.
I take my two medium sized dogs here and I am very happy with the care they receive! Compared to the other vets we have visited, the prices are good and the 24/7 hours are great. The vets and staff here have better personalities than other clinics as well and I appreciate the welcoming attitude.
The service and care for our pet cat Charlie was extraordinary to say the least. Our cat was bitten by a raccoon or skunk and we immediately had to seek urgent care for her late on a Friday night. Dr. Bekhet and Kayla the assistant were amazing to ire they deal with in our desperate need. They immediately performed a surgery on her within an hour . Dr Bekhet was very caring and compassionate with her upon our subsequent visits. The entire staff at East Hamilton Animal hospital take their jobs very seriously and really care for the pets that come under their wing. I live in burlington and would not hesitate to recommend or return for their excellent care .
Good groomer. Her name is Rita. Very knowledgeable.
Had to take my sick dog in the other day. From the front staff to the doctor's and technician who work there are amazing! Special thanks to Lauren on the front desk- so helpful, understanding, patient, kind and so very helpful in walking us through the hard decisions we had to make. Her compassion is beyond compare and she was very gentle and kind with my fur baby. I will always recommend East Mountain Animal Hospital to all my friend who own fur babies! Thank you again, Lauren for all your help. You definitely deserve respect and thanks for all you do. They all do there.
Fair pricing with discounts for people on OW & ODSP with proof of income.
I brought my 4 year old dog Bridgette in today with concerns I had about some swelling in her left leg. I was able to make an appointment and be seen in less than 24 hours. I really appreciate their compromise with covid and my dogs separation anxiety, it helped immensely and we were able to get bridgette looked at without much hassle. The staff were great and professional and show real empathy toward our cherished pets. Bridgette is the most important thing in my life and I felt that she was properly looked after even when I had to leave her for an hour. Although we had to send Bridgette to the OVC, the veterinarian that saw Bridgette was professional and knowledgeable and reassuring. Our pets are not just pets, they are our family, and to have a clinic that you can trust and rely upon helps in these moments of uncertainty and stress. I will continue to make this vet clinic my main clinic, and the fact they operate 24/7 is amazing.
Best place ever !!!! Great doc and staff
Did unnecessary testing. Kitten was too young for conclusive results. Asked for refund after told this..none given
Great place! Every person that works there is helpful and friendly
Very patient, kind and caring staff. ♥️
Nice people
Excellent care taken for my dog.!
Was advised my cat was acutely anaemic and critical condition. Turns out they mixed blood work results with another pet. Q: Did they follow up with this other pet’s owner as they would have been told their pet was healthy. They never confirmed. Incorrect diagnosis of my cat 100% money grab - Paid $1,100 when my cat was perfectly fine and had to go to another vet to find out my cat was misdiagnosed. Incorrectly prescribed steroids and meds to a healthy cat Lack of response from the doctor I.e never called back with test results Unprofessional and rude owner Never go to this place or you will loose both your pet and your money .
Took my puppy in without problem and she seemed to enjoy the visit. Might have been the friendly and essential staff, might have been the treats. Fair prices and great service.
My dog was pregnant and one of the night she was in labour pain. I immediately went to Regional animal hospital Hamilton and they said they can't hear puppy's heart beat. Then I contacted East Mountain Animal hospital and they accepted my dog and had a C-section and delivered the puppy safely. See the difference. This East Mountain animal hospital doctors and staff are very knowledgeable, experienced and professional. I highly recommended this place to anybody who are looking for best caring for your pet.
Very caring staff, little slow service but i think that is due to the attention paid to customers and the pets.
I needed some royal canin weight control for our cat,out of stock.I was told i could order it on line through Beattie evev though they put my cat on this diet food .I tried another hospital but my cat was not their patient so I could not get any there either too bad
Ella was so helpful in assisting me with an order miscommunication. She was kind and patient while I explained the situation and she immediately rectified the issue. Love this place and the people who work there! Thank you Ella!
The staff are very friendly to my dog and the vet is very professional and reliable. The cost is fair compared with other 24/7 animal hospitals. And my dog recovered immediately after we came back from EMAH. Thank you all so much! I will definitely recommend you to my friends.
2 years ago my cat was diagnosed with FIV the vet suggested I gave up the cat. Despite the fact most cats go on to live full lives with FIV. Cat had severe stomatis in his mouth the vet who saw me waa not knowledgeable in dental work at all and misdiagnosed my cat. He was in pain for 2 weeks on unnecessarily. Went back to weeks later he had to have surgery. Cat had surgery vet told me he do a full extraction before the surgery. Found out he only took out a couple teeth. Had to go back 3 days later to get the cortisone shot because his mouth was still inflamed . I wouldn't recommend this Clinic to my worst enemy!!!!
When you book with one doctor and you get another one...not okay. They need to get their computers working properly...why do I need to stand there for 20 + minutes while they try to get things to load. Also miss diagnose your animal and they are put on 3 different medications one of which cost 177.00 for 50 days
Found them very compassionate and kind when we hat to have our cat cookie put to sleep. They did all they could to help us and were very fair with the prices. We left her there for 2 days of care and tests to see if there was any way possible to extend her life. She was in stage 4 kidney failure however and the most humane and hard option was euthanasia. They were kind during a very very hard day. They will be our future go to vet wen we adopt our next pet
Very fast and friendly service...Need to give exact quotes beforehand on phone.
Staff are fantastic! My dog has anxiety but they are so relaxed and good with him that he’s done really well at East Mountain. Wish we switched here long ago
Brought my 4 baby kittens 2 days ago and am happily taking my new kitty over today
My cat had a little injury. Unfortunately our vet was booked so I couldn't get an appointment. After a few phone calls East Mountain Animal Hospital made available spot for the visit even though they were completely booked. They took care of him and send us home with medication to make sure he will be ok. Thanks.
Horrible experience. They overcharged us for our appointment, did a procedure on my animal we asked they not do. Their receptionist Karen charged at me ripping my animals prescription out of my hands, shoved my husband and called the police on us because we had asked to speak to someone so we could discuss why the procedure was done without our consent. When the police arrived they stated this was a civil matter and they didn’t need to be involved. They spoke to Karen who told them we had 3 options.. 1. To leave with our cat and not pay and find a new vet. 2. Leave with our cat not pay and have the owner call us the next day. 3. To pay our bill and they will send forth the tests and release the medications. We decided to leave the clinic and wait for a phone call. They never called us- so we called them. They are now demanding payment. We got absolutely nothing from them, but expect us to pay the full bill. This place, this isn’t a vet clinic.. this is a scam office. This place needs to be shut down. My cat has been to this clinic three times and he is still just as sick as he was the first visit. They keep giving us meds that he doesn’t respond to. They don’t care about animals, only money. Save your pets by going elsewhere.
I give them 5 stars because I needed to go in for a couple of things for my dog. The first was a limpectomy, which they performed so well, and made sure he was all good. No complications from that at all. The second was a dental extraction. They were friendly and caring and treated my boy as if their own. The reason they get the 5 instead of a lesser review is because they made an incorrect call and decided not to extract my baby's tooth and I brought him home and he was in such pain. Now I bet you're thinking why would she review them so well? They took responsibility, they owned up to having made an incorrect call, they pulled my baby's tooth, boarded him for three days and made sure to apologize IN PERSON all of this at no cost to me. Everyone makes mistakes, not everyone takes responsibility for them! Thank you East Mountain Animal Hospital! You gave me my baby back!!!!!!
Doesn’t reply to emails.
Only great experiences for our greyhound with Dr.Bekhit :)
Sunny, my 8 yr old Siberian Husky, just wasn’t himself. This was the 2nd vet we seen & he was bang on! Some arthritis medication & boom in 3 days he is pretty much back to normal. His assessment was done based on his knowledge base & I am grateful for that. Note - he didn’t do expensive tests or x-rays - he said lets try this first before we go to far & spend money we might not have to. So 5 stars for being great!
You put my mind at ease when I called for an emergency appointment and intend to bring Pennie for all her pet needs. Thank you for your kindness ????????
