Words cant even describe how valuable I find the care at RCVH. The people there are nothing short of incredible in the way that they interact both with their patients and with the humans that accompany them. I have been going there since I moved here in 2011 and have never questioned it once.
whenever there is a concern that Dr. Drewry thinks is out of her scope of practice or she wants a second opinion, she refers me to the right specialist (Both times it was OVC for neurology for my border collie cross) and after the consult, we meet again to go over next-steps and treatment plans which always have the animals needs at front of mind.
Every SINGLE tech, receptionist, and veterinarian that I have dealt with there has been compassionate, caring, and thoughtful. They do what they can to provide the best course of action, and are transparent in their beliefs of what is best for the animal. I have had to make "the hardest choice" while my animal was in the care of RCAH and while it was devastating for me, I knew without a doubt it was what was best for the cat. There was never a moment I felt that Dr Drewry wavered on her response.
During the good times and the hard times, I can honestly say that I would trust the staff at RCAH to take care of my animals and communicate with me professionally and with empathy at all times. I think sometimes we forget how hard their job is, and how much support they provide the animals (and each other) each and every single day when the door closes or your animal goes into another room for testing. THANK YOU RCAH for all that you do each day to keep our animals healthy and happy!
MUCH LOVE
