We were looking for specialized dental expertise and arranged a consult with Dr. Hawes. We found him to be curt and dismissive. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. We ultimately had our dog treated at the VEC in Toronto and were very pleased with the care.

Dr. Yu took his time to explain and answer ALL questions about allergies, put us on a plan and went thru extensive detail on how, why, when, all of it! A wonderful & loving place! SUPER impressed!

My bunny was close to death from fly strike on a holiday. This vet was opened thankfully, and took us at midnight to treat her before her condition got any worse. She is now healthy and alive because of them. They were friendly, thorough and prices were beyond reasonable for a vet. I would give them 10 stars if I could and wish there were more clinics for animals similar to them. Thank-you❤❤❤

I had a fantastic experience here when I was referred here at midnight from downtown Toronto. I was received at the door by a friendly tech. They took us right in and gave us a quiet comfortable room with a sofa which was great as we were there with 2 other dogs. There were 2 other emergencies that beat us there (while we were en route) so our surgery was delayed by hours (my dog was stable) but they checked on us at least once an hour or whenever we asked and we did get X-rays and an ultrasound plus my dogs vitals were checked often. In the future, if I ever have an emergency, I will get referred here and will skip the VEC. The cost of my visit here was 1/3 of my friends cost at VEC.

Dermatology: They will take your money and run. I brought my girl in as she lost all of her fur in one summer and we needed answers! I didn't have insurance, but I wanted my baby to feel comfortable. We were referred here. We had Dr. Pye at first she was amazing, but she unfortunately left the clinic in the middle of diagnosing our dog. After allergy tests, multiple appointments they just threw her on Atopica.. Nearly $400 dollars a month for this medication for a little over a year without any significant results. They didn't try anything else.. I was in school and we are paying for it now... Thank goodness my new vet is unbelievably knowledgable. She is now on antibiotics and melatonin for about 5 months now and has had the best results... Go figure.

This hospital is amazing. Dr. Haws and his team were so good go my little angel (Lily - Chihuahua). She had to have major surgery and had several teeth removed. She is healthy but doesn't have a good history with anesthetic. The whole team was caring, very knowledgeable and got her through this traumatic experience. They were great with me as well. I was quite upset and worried. It was a long day and they kept me updated along the way. I knew my little girl was on good hands. When I picked her up the whole team was with her and came out to see me. They gave me a detailed report about what they did and what to do when I got home. I had to bring my dog here for dental work. Never a place you want to have to go, but if you have to GVSH is the best around. They made me feel comfortable and safe leaving my dog there for the day. They answered all questions I had and made sure I felt safe and secure leaving my loved one there. Scheduled follow ups and made sure everything was good with my dog. Highly recommend for those tough times where you need to bring your fur babies somewhere.

Worst place that I have ever dealt with Dr.Yu seemed like a nice a guy but his staff are rude.I called and left a message for the Doctor and got no reply,I called back a week later telling them that the meds they gave my dog was causing my dog to throw and have the runs at the same time, his staff helper that took my call not the Doctor and told me why are you calling us then?You should be calling your Vet,I told her that they where the ones that prescribed the meds why would I call my Vet.I payed them $1200.00 for treatment I thought I was under Dr.Yu care.My dog got very sick from there care and they couldn't care less, why should they ,they got payed already.Thanks for your terrible help!Maybe I should call the BBB well you have been warned.Sept 24 my dog the same problem but worst now when I last talk to Dr.Yu took almost 2 months to return my calls and I told him about what been going on with his staff he told that he would give a full refund on these pills but never did..He also said that my dog is cured and I told him that he was nothing but a con-artist.

Went there last Friday with my sick Golden who has had a very bad skin issue for months that 3 other vets couldn't figure out so filled him with steroids Dr.O'Shaughnessy an the Tech were wonderful within 20 mins he was diagnosed with mange I highly recommend this hospital
