Since covid we can't go in with our fur babies which is kind of frustrating but it's understandable why. The staff are so friendly and caring, they meet you at your car and talk to you and ask all the questions before they take your pet in. They take your phone number in case they have any other questions as well. I normally just wait in my car until they call me but I've seen people leave and come back which might be good for some people. With the cold weather approaching my only problem is the extremely long wait to pay for services outside... if they had a portable debit machine it would solve that problem!! Overall I've had only good experiences and my dog is never scared of the vet so that's a great sign as well!!

Amazing !! We were on vacation at Albert Bridge and our 8 month old Golden required an Emergency Visit. Not one local vet would accept us until we finally reached out to Sydney animal hospital. We are thankful that Dr Parker and Staff treated our dog as a delay would have left us dealing with an infection. Thanks

I give 1 star because I cant give 0. This vet booked me in for an emergency, took my money. I was not satisfied as my pet displayed same symptoms up to 7 days after the visit. Made a recheck appointment and they refused my pet. I sit here now with tears in my eyes and empty pockets and a sick pet. I do not recommend. Do yourself a favor and take your pet elsewhere. I have been taking my fur babies there for more than 15 years and over the course of time they were always there for me. Sometimes I had difficult decisions to make and the doctors would spend as much time as I required discussing the situation and options. I never has the feeling that it's all about the money, they are a compassionate and caring team that work closely with you.

I honest can't say enough good things about Dr. Nicholson. His approach was incredible with my 9 year old great Dane who is usually very scared. He took the time to develop a relationship with her, and was extremely knowledgeable about many topics . His treatment wasn't just geared towards taking care of the physical aspects but also the long term emotional support and relationship a vet and animal should have. Extremely impressed considering other vets have just sedated her for exams ect . He wanted to use that as a last resort, which was such a relief . By the end of the visit with some extra love/lots of treats he was able to examine a knee injury without any type of sedation or restraints. Also the front desk staff who took us to get weighed was absolutely lovely and perfect in dealing with our girl. Thank you all again ❤️.

They have a great system to provide service during pandemic restrictions. Staff are very friendly helpful and empathetic. The vet we spoke with, Dr. Parker, is very helpful and takes her time to explain things well and ensure the information is understood.

I have a female dog that was in heat and a male dog that I took into the hospital to be neutered and had taken precautions to make sure that my female was protected so he could not get her pregnant , I know she should have been fixed too but I was doing him first, the very first thing as soon as we got home from the hospital he went after her and started humping her, I called the hospital and was told that the hormones stay for a few days but there is no way that he can get her pregnant, just keep them away from each other because he should rest which I did , they later on a few hours later he gets her and they lock together and won't come apart, freaking I called the hospital and was told that there is no way he can get her pregnant and I will ask the dr here what to do to get them apart but don't worry he can't get her pregnant ,once the castration is done it's done , they are still stuck together 10 or more minutes later. I call the hospital back and I am told I don't know what to tell you, all I can say is he can't get her pregnant , a few minutes later I get a call back and I am told I have some bad news, he is still able to get her pregnant,should you not have told me this the first time I called right after I got home with him, I advise them that he is her sone and they tell me that they are dogs and dogs don't know or care, puppies will be fine other problem is whether you want puppies or not , I ask is there anything we can do to stop the pregnancy like with women the morning after pill and I was told to google search it, how NICE . I paid 300.00 dollars there today because I didn't want puppies. Very dissatisfied with the service there , should have stuck to animal medical hospital were they are professional and know what the hell they are doing, Sydney Animal hospital was quite a bit cheaper so I took him there just for that, I know why now they were cheaper because they don't know what the hell they are doing

If you want your prescriptions to go missing and to deal with people who don't know how to fax it to other vets and pharmacies then try to charge you for the paper so you can then fax it yourself this is the perfect place to go. If you want any competent service I'd try elsewhere.

I had to put my cat and Best friend in the world to sleep on Thursday afternoon because he fell and hurt his back paw and started to throw blood clots.So I took him in to Sydney Animal Hospital to get checked out and they were all really nice, kind, helpful and professional to me in my time of incredible sorrow.I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO any Pet Lovers and owners.I gave them a 5 star rating because that is the highest level that there is but in my opinion they are true ANGELS each and every one of them.signed=Tom Brennan.

I was up from Halifax visiting my mom and brought my cat with me instead of hiring a sitter, she got into a toxic plant while we were visiting so I called Sydney animal hospital and they had me bring her in right away, the service was wonderful they treated her great and they are quite affordable especially when it comes to emergency services.

Pre-registration of your pet is recommended, this can be done online. I also use their services for medication refills for me dog. Recommended.

I took my puppy in for her second vaccines, staff at the front desk we're very kind and friendly, however, the vet herself (an older womanw), was beyond dreadful. Now I know vets try to get you to spend unnecessary money for their own benefit but this was rediculous. When she administered the needle she did not make a tent for the skin just jabbed it in and when the dog winced she pulled it out and jabbed her again... Then said puppies CAN be given deworm treatment a number amount of times as puppies, can, not have to be given. I asked if this was nessessary and she indirectly told me no but yes at the same time then proceeded and said "I'm going to give this to her if you don't mind" not informing me if it was dire or at any more cost to myself and then suggested I pay for deworm pills as well? I asked if she knew anything about switching over microchip information as she had one when we got her, she scanned her chip and compared it to make sure it was correct and said she was not able to help. She asked us if she had had diarrhea and or vommiting, we replied not since we've had her we feed her authority brand all life stages she loves it, she eats till she's full does not over eat and shes growing fast and is generally a very healthy happy pup! we were strictly told not to feed her anything but puppy food and we're advised to change her food. When all was said and done we went to pay for her needles. The receptionist says "so just the needles and the microchip?" She alrey had one we did not get one there. She took it off the price and asked again if we wanted the deworm pills after she already took the siringe which we were told was free of charge. we denied the pills and proceeded to pay... Overall we paid over $100 for her second vaccines. Service was aweful will not be returning that's for sure!!!
