They were decent enough while my dog was in good health (although she was always highly anxious when visiting) but appointements were always running late (45-60 min), paying your bill would take forever and they're more expensive than most in the area. Le vétérinaire mappel tantot pour me demander s'il a tout ces vaccins (ils lui ont donner son dernier vaccin il y a une semaine...), par la suite me demande s'il a pris des médicaments dernièrement (ils nous ont donner une pilule anti-parasitaire la semaine passer) et après me demande s'il a une micropuce (eeee vous mappeler pour le RDV de la castration et la micropuce)... La je suis très anxieux pour demain... Edit: La directrice de l'établissement nous a appeler après avoir vus le review. Nous allons garder notre rendez-vous et ajusterons notre review si nous somme satisfait du service demain. Update 13 Aout 2020. I brought my car here, I'm almost 100% sure she has mange, so are my friends and family. The vet here wouldn't even really look at my cat or even talk to me about the problem really. They were french speaking only and got a translator while I was there even though I kept saying I could speak french.. and to top it off, the vet was so scared of my cat she had two people hold it down so she could listen to her heart.. the two people were scaring my cat even more to the point it wasn't possible to even have a check up. My cat was prescribed pills and cream which did absolutely nothing.. and all this cost me $170 with tax. Other vet I used to go to used to say my cat was adorable and one of the best behaved, I don't know why here it's the complete opposite.

One star would be more representative of the service I got from this place. They are obviously in business for money, so if you love your animal you should not even bother to call there in order to get help. I called outside the regular business hours to know if it was preferable to come at the clinic to get my dog checked. I was worried and the receptionist couldn't give me any information and requested my credit card number to answer this basic question. How can it be possible for them to act that way? What happens if I don't have the money on the spot? If you love your animal, go somewhere else - if they can charge you over 50$ for a call, they will definitely be comfortable taking advantage of you eventually.

Overall, the place is very good and my pet felt great at the place. I have to add a special attention to the techs in this place who truly cares about the animals and they speak very nicely to clients, especially the really nice ponytail girl (sorry don't know her name). The doctor, that's another story. Perhaps a little rushed in her approach with people that often don't know too much about anything. I understand her frustration but if you don't want to deal with people, you don't go where you work directly with people...but overall great staff and great place.

I am english and received the same fair treatment as a french speaking person (which can be rare in quebec) staff was very nice and caring as i had an emergency. the vet was very kind/gentle and did not charge me for a test she administered. i was able to get an emergency appointment only a few hours after calling on a saturday. his eye is already improving from infection after a couple days of antibiotics and drops. so she did help very much and i was so relieved. consultation was a little more than my usual vet, (still less then ontario vet) but did not care as this was one of the only vets with available appointment. thank you!!

My dog has received very good care here, both for routine and emergency visits. It's a bit pricier than some other local vets, but the staff are excellent (vet techs and veterinarians alike). They offer obedience training, but I have not used it and thus cannot comment on it.

On three occasions, I went to consult with my cat this hospital; describing symptoms. Each time, the diagnosis was wrong, I was offered blood tests, but to be made to another appointment, fasting and proposing to tire the cat at night, at high cost obviously. Starting from the wrong diagnosis, I was offered an expensive food, which could alleviate the problem, and I began to buy this food. As my cat has died, I have apple to get an emergency appointment a few days ago; no appointment was offered to me, not even quickly between two appointments, rather it was offered in one week. So I called another establishment, which welcomed me immediately, took a blood test immediately, corrected the wrong diagnosis, but it was too late; my cat was terminally ill. All this could have been avoided. My heart is broken today. But I can summarize this hospital: unprofessional treatment. Poor quality services rather dedicated to charging people. Poor veterinary knowledge. Service completely missing with the obligation of care, which should be of any priority. Not inclined to receive emergency care. My cat could have suffered less, and could live longer if some kind of care had been provided, instead I was paid for food that was exorbitant, which was not even appropriate, and in fact accelerated the undiagnosed problem. It would have been so easy to take this blood test during one of my visits. Avoid this incompetent hospital whose sole purpose is mercantile. No star. (Original) A éviter absolument, si vous aimez votre animal, si vous voulez un services professionnel, et si vous voulez éviter des factures exorbitantes. J'ai un chat, qui m a été extrêmement cher. A trois reprises, je suis allée consulter avec mon chat cet hôpital; décrivant des symptômes. A chaque reprise, le diagnostique fut erroné, on me proposait des prises de sang, mais devant être faites a un autre rendez vous, a jeun et proposant de lasser le chat la nuit, a fort couts évidemment. Partant du mauvais diagnostique, on me proposait une nourriture dispendieuse, qui pourrait pallier au problème, et je me mis donc a acheter cette nourriture. Comme mon chat a dépéri, j ai apple pour obtenir un rendez vous d urgence, il y a quelques jours; aucune rendez vous ne me fut proposé, meme pas rapidement entre deux rendez vous, plutôt on m offrit dans sens semaine. J ai donc appelé un autre établissement, qui m a accueilli tout de suite, a procédé aune prise de sang immédiatement, a corrigé le mauvais diagnostique, mais il était trop tard; mon chat était en phase terminale. Tout ceci aurait pu être évité. J ai le coeur brisé aujourd'hui. Mais je peux résumé cet hôpital: traitement non professionnel. Services de piètre qualité plutôt voué a charger les c;vient. Connaissances vétérinaires médiocres. Service manquant complètement ave l obligation de soins, qui devraient être de toute priorité. Peu enclin a recevoir pour donner des soins d urgence. Mon chat aurait pu moins souffrir, et peut être vivre plus longtemps si des soins le moindrement corrects avaient été prodiguées, au lieu de ça, on me faisait payer une nourriture a pris exorbitant, qui n'était meme pas appropriée, et qui en fait a accéléré le problème non diagnostiqué. C eut été si simple de faire cette prise de sang lors d une de mes visites. Éviter cet hôpital incompétent dont le seul objectif est mercantile. Aucune étoile.

However when I went to have an operation with another veterinarian last month, the veterinarian who operated on me told me that I did not have a female, but a male. I went to the plateau clinic several times and they never told me that my cat was a male. One may wonder what kind of exam they are doing and where they graduated so as not to differentiate between a male and a female. (Original) Lorsque j'ai eu mon chaton de deux mois, je suis allée à cette clinique pour un examen. Ils m'ont dit que c'était une femelle. Cependant quand je suis allée la faire opérer chez un autre vétérinaire le mois dernier, le vétérinaire qui l'a opérer m'a dit que je n'avais pas une femelle, mais un mâle. Je suis allée plusieurs fois à la clinique du plateau et jamais ils ne m'ont dit que mon chat était un mâle. On peut se demander quel genre d'examen ils font et où ils ont pris leurs diplômes pour ne pas faire la différence entre un mâle et une femelle.

My cat was a patient of the clinic for over 10 years. During his last months he was followed closely by a vet who performed tests, examens, blood work, X-rays to determine the cause of his illness. They were never able to accurately determined the cause of his illness. One evening after work I came home to find my cat paralyse and drooling from the mouth. I immediately called the clinic and the receptionist told me they had no time to help and suggested that I go to Alta Vista. I tried to explain to her that my cat was a patient for over 10 years and that he was being closely monitor by the vet during the past few weeks. She showed absolutely willingness to provide assistance or compassion for that matter and kept telling me there was no room and go to ottawa. Luckely a clinic close by was able to see me asap (and no questions asks). After rushing to this other clinic, the vet immediately had to euthanize my cat since in was having a stroke and going into cardiac arrest. I always spoke highly of this clinic as they always well treated and attended to my pets but after what I and especially my cat endured during his last moment, never again will I step foot in that clinic or recommend it to anyone!

Les radio sont révisé et et effectivement c'est très clair, ligament croisé déchiré! On envoie le tout à un spécialiste, on doit refaire des radio car leur radiographie ne sont pas bonne, mauvais angle et on ne voit pas la cheville mais effectivement le diagnostique est confirmé. En plus, on me dit que le fait d'avoir attendue aussi longtemps a mis de la pression sur son ménisque. + on avait demandé à traiter une infection à l'oreille gauche. Ils ont fournit des médicaments pour 2 semaines pour plus de 350$. Après deux semaines, me dise que tout est guérit. L'infection revient. On va voir un autre vet. L'oreille droite aussi avait besoin de médication. On me represcrit des médicaments pour 3 semaines 2 oreilles et consultation pour 150$... moitié moins cher

Quelques jours plus tard, on réalise qu'ils nous ont quand même facturé pour une consultation d'urgence, même si on n'a pas eu de consultation à par de se faire dire d'aller à Ottawa ! On communique avec eux pour leur demander des explications et demander un remboursement. D'abord, on nous prend pour des menteurs, ils inventent des trucs que la vétérinaire nous aurait dit au téléphone (ayoye !) et ils refusent (évidemment) de nous rembourser. Le propriétaire était supposé nous rappeler, mais il ne l'a pas fait (êtes-vous surpris à ce stade-ci ?). Pourtant, voici ce qu'ils affichent sur leur site Internet : "Nous offrons un service d’urgences 24 h sur appel. L’hôpital vétérinaire du plateau offre une gamme complète de services et possède des équipements à la fine pointe de la technologie tels que : laser chirurgical exclusivement, laser thérapeutique, radiographie numérique générale et dentaire, échographie et laboratoire complet sur place." Donc on a payé 60$ pour se faire dire d'aller ailleurs... même s'ils se vantent d'avoir un bon service d'urgence complet.
