REVIEWS OF Main Street Veterinary Hospital IN Fredericton

Today was my cat's first visit to Dr. Smith. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Dr. Smith was excellent with my cat and took the time to explain fully what medications were for and showed how to administer them. He gave me options for different price ranges of things if available. He also made me aware of helpful over-the -counter vitamins, etc., but there was no pressure to buy. I was very pleased with the service Isaac & I received today! So glad I made the choice to come here!

We have been bringing our pets here for more than 15 years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr Smith is very thorough. Our pets love the Cat Nap Inn too!

Had the most wonderful experience with Dr. Smith. My dog was not feeling very well and was throwing up. He went through the causes and started the treatment. Within days she was better. He provided many options of treatment and gave me all the information to make an informed decision. I would highly recommend this vet hospital!

Our healthy dog suddenly has seziures. This was very scary for us. Dr. Smith was called at 4AM and said our dog could wait until morning. And he did. He was fine until we saw Dr. Smith at his 'Keswick Office' the next morning. Now, let's outline that emergency visit. 1- The visit was done outside in his driveway and all the while my dog is reactive to his 15 plus dogs; whom are reactive to us. They barked the entire time we where there. 2- He did not give us a bill, he wrote an amount of money (for payment) on a piece of paper and said we could pay directly to his bank via email money transfer (EMT). We did. Believing that was enough for our receipt. Later that evening, our dog had another seziure. This time it lasted just over 5 minutes. This is a emergency! We called again. Dr. Smith met us at his Main Street office where he proceeded to give an injectable antibiotic (without asking me or even speaking about what he wished to do to our dog). He then gave so many medications.... again, speaking of nothing he's doing. It was all so over whelming. When I started to ask questions and document what he was doing, he kept saying, 'your dog will be fine. Trust me.' Now, looking back, the comment of 'trust me' is laughable. The next morning we pick our dog up (he was with Dr. Smith for an over night observation at his home in Keswick). When we saw H (our dog), he was so drugged he wasn't barking, he was falling down and could barely walk. His eyes glazed. He was a drugged up mess. Dr. Smith expressed he had over medicated him and that we would decrease the amount starting that day. Now, when we were leaving that morning Dr. Smith gave us another 'bill' on a piece of paper with a dollar amount. This bill was not itemized. It was just a amount to pay. It was $700.00. We paid it via EMT again (as per the Doctors directions). A few days later I called the clinic and asked for a detailed receipt along with the records from those two emergency visits. Something felt fishy. Needless to say, there was no records in the computer Bout that visit to Keswick or his over night stay. 'They are al my Keswick office hand written' says the Doctor. Well, that's not good enough when the vet techs/assistance can not assist me properly without having access to that record. I pushed for those two things and was promised they would be there soon. Ok. Great. Thanks. After weening H off his anticonvulsants, Doctors orders, he had another seziure. Now, most Doctors would deem him epileptic and now work towards the perfect for him dose of anticonvulsants. Nope, not Dr. Smith! Even after the blood work came back clean. 100% great. Dr. Smith still said he believed H had a toxin in his system. I questioned him hard. No real answer. He then changed our dogs medication from the 'normal' anticonvulsants used by most vets as a primary medication to KBR. KBR is a secondary medication typically only used when phenobarbital can not take care of the seziures on it's own. Ok. Now. Our dog is having side effects. Pacing, hitting his head as he walks around the house (like he has no depth perception), and he's always hungry! We called back to speak to him about lowering the dosage. He never called back nor replied. Long and short of all this.... in the end Dr. Smith is living saying we owe money - which we don't. He's refusing to transfer health records and was refusing to provide an itemized receipt for your $1,000 we spent over the two days. Not including the $400.00 for the visit after weening H off and he had another seziure. Dr. Smith called me after I spoke to the NBVMA regarding his conduct and attempted to 'butter me up.' Saying, 'I'll see Hendrik one time for free as a follow up on the flowing conditions. You pay the transfer fee for the files up front and you don't make a complaint.' Ha! He lost me there. Note. I have recording. I have documenting to back up my above post. Of anyone has had similar experiences with Dr. Smith or has had a horrible experience regarding his professionalism, standards of practice etc.... I encourage you to call NBVMA.

Called after hours for an emergency as our usual vet was not answering. Was asked if we were a client and when told no the man laughed and said to call in the morning and hung up. I get it we aren’t your clients but now we never will be. It’s a shame that a vet of all people would be so heartless towards animals.

We have been going to Main St. Vet since 2017. Would recommend as we have had very good service here. Dr. Smith and all the staff have been so good with our senior doggo! (she is 16, Rotti Shepard cross) He has made holistic recommendations that has improved her mobility beyond what we could have hoped for!! If you need a vet this is the one!

Valérye Hudon

They had appointments available immediately and I understand why, there was previously removed form animals stuff in jars right in the waiting room, the cleaning situation was dismal, the veterinarian on duty was pushing for energy medicine (on top of the traditional one) and the pill counting device probably had not been cleaned in days. The support staff was friendly and polite and gave plenty of treats to my fur baby. I would not go back there if my dog was sick, but I am happy they had room at such a short notice.

Brittany Bowmaster

Took my cat in to get neutered and had a great experience. The staff was friendly, the operation was affordable, and they called to let us know how he made out and when we could pick him up. I really liked that you didn't have to pay for needles first, I like the flexibility. Not everyone can afford to pay $200, $300 at one time. And I do think preventing more kittens is important so I really liked that. Some vets wont fixed cats until they have their needles. I will be taking all of my pets to this office from now on!

Rhyan Hopper

This vet has terrible manners, showing no patience or compassion for me or my animal. I had to wait for half an hour past my appointment time, and when I got in he seemed to be rushing me along. He talked to me like I was stupid, laughed at me for not knowing my cat was considered overweight. Fortunately he was able to resolve the issue, and he recommended a new food and supplement... but I will not be returning to this office as I found his demeanour to be rude and insensitive.

Dr. Smith has been my animals vet for over 15 years now. I've always had great experiences here. A few years ago my dog Sheba ended up with heart disease and it was too far gone. We tried medicine and unfortunately the right valve had pretty much collapsed, nothing more we could do. Time came and we had to do the humane thing. Dr. Smith cried right along with me as I said my goodbyes. I will never forget that. I knew at that moment he will be our family vet forever. Thank you for the kindness and your professionalism. And thank you for all of your help with my current furbabies!

Todd Bailey

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Smith for 5 years now and have always had a good experience. Like any vet or Dr. there may be better/worse ones... but overall Dr. Smith has always taken the time to explain what he is doing and if we have any problems he is very helpful.

D&S

Dr Smith is amazing! What a gem- genuinely experienced & intuitive! Puts the pets health first & offers natural remedies as options.

Wife took our 3 kids and cat that was sick to the vet yesterday. Only had just about half of what was required for the vet bill which was told to the receptionist before hand. The cat needed to be seen and there was not any other option we …

Main St. veterinary clinic has been mine & my family's go to for 10+ years, I love how welcoming the clinic is! The staff are always friendly & helpful, Dr. Smith is quick to assess the problem and will make sure you have a clear understanding of any procedures or treatment to follow.

I certainly wouldn't suggest getting a bunny fixed here- they don't do females & I found them pretty dismissive about questions or what I could do to give him comfort, I brought food for him because it was an all day procedure and they gave …

My dog, Bossy Cow had been ill for some time and we had gone to see Dr. Shawn Smith....the care at Main Street VH was outstanding. My baby Boss took a turn for the worse on a weekend, and there was not a vet that would see her as she wasn't their patient and it was Sunday. I called Dr. Smith and he immediately agreed to see her and we set off for his home. Such a kindness was appreciated, I felt like we'd made a new friend. I would and am recommending Main Street VH to whoever has a pet. Dr.Pol's got competition. Thankyou Main Street and Dr. Shawn!

Staff friendly and helpful; fast service.

Not a very good experience. Although the Vet was very nice. I took my dog in as he had eaten a sock and needed surgery, they performed the surgery and he started going down hill. I called almost every day after the surgery to ask questions and inquire as to whether they thought I should bring him in to have a look at his stitches as they were worrying me. They assured me that a little leaking from the stitches was fine but there was no way that the stitches would open up. Lo and behold 2 days later as I'm taking him out to pee his stitches completely opened and his insides started coming out. Horrifying for myself and I'm sure for my dog as well. I rushed him back to the vet and they had to perform yet another surgery to correct all the stitches coming out. I did not leave that day with my dog, I left with his collar only and a heavy heart. He had passed away after the surgery was completed. Maybe this was a freak accident, maybe it was badly done surgery, maybe it was too much anesthesia I will never know as they could tell me nothing only that his heart stopped and they could not get it going again and did not know why it happened. He was very alert even that day that his stitches opened up, and they assured me that was a great sign and that he was going to be okay after all he was a very healthy only two year old pup. He most definitely was not okay. I will not being going back there.

Katie “Katie” Lunney

The vet use to be in Minto and he only seems to care about money. Was always rough with our animals and once over vaccinated our dog. He didn't even put our dog to sleep before euthanizing her. She ran away and started falling down. Most traumatizing thing I have ever seen. Never returning.

Jessica Bleasdale

I can’t thank Dr Shawn Smith from Main Street Veterinary enough for all his care of all our miniature dachshunds as he’s helped greatly improving their quality of life with his expertise, care and love. I always feel he has the best interest of our pets as his number one priority with his holistic approach to veterinary care. He communicates effectively by telling you like it is. I highly recommend his veterinarian services.

Shawn Murphy

I will never be back, zero compassiin when it comes to a suffering animal, my dog had cancer and whenever I made an appointment to end his suffering he always tried to talk me out of it. I now have a new vet who is fantastic!

Bernice C

If you want your pets to live, stay away from this place!

I have been taking my 3 cats and dog to the Main Street Veterinary Hospital for many years and the service is excellent. Everyone there is genuinely concerned with the well-being of my pets and I have the greatest confidence in Dr. Smith and his team.

Karen MacDonald

Have always received excellent care and service from Dr. Smith and his team. Always open to questions and well informed about the animals they care for. Recently I took my Shih Tzu to have her cataracts examined and to discuss options. Dr. Smith provided all the information we needed to make an informed decision. He really cares about the best decision for the pet and owner. I respect his knowledge and transparency.

Susan Voth

I've only had good experiences at my vets. The Dr is very friendly and knowledgeable and instead of pumping my dog full of drugs, he likes to give me alternative holistic options. Last time I went in, my dog had an abscess tooth. The Dr knew immediately what was wrong and since being home, the tooth seems to be on the mend and we received a call from the office to make sure things were going well. Thank you!

Amanda Steen

These people have been super great with me and my fur babies. I am able to go in and get monthly treatments for my animals to prevent fleas and worms even without a mandatory *money grabbing* vet check up. I am totally grateful for this veterinarian office. Thanks for the treatments, kind words and simple verbal advice you have offered ladies.

Allison Webster

We love Dr. Smith and the kind, friendly staff at Main St. Vet. We always feel well looked after, and Dr. Smith always takes the time to answer all our questions. I also like the fact that Dr. Smith uses both Western medicine & alternative therapies when appropriate. We have noticed what a difference it makes in our fur babies health!

Grace Morgan

The vet was very impersonal and didnt show very much compassion towards my dog. I warned him he was a rescue and had very bad social anxiety, and the vet reached right out for him once we were in there causing him to snap at him. He then patronized me saying that my dog needs obedience classes. He also made me feel stupid for bringing a dog from Mississippi into Canada because "I didnt want to be the one to bring heartworm here". The pill counter also looked like it hadn't been cleaned.

Daniela Marcelli

Every time I visit Dr. Smith (and associates) I always leave feeling so relieved and satisfied. He and the other associates are so caring and genuine and always have the health and happiness of your pet in their best interest, you can tell they all truly love what they do. Dr. Smith saved my moms budgie bird a few times when he was sick and would'nt have otherwise made it. He has also taken care of my kitty and was always so thorough with each of them. I have never left with any questions unanswered or with any dissatisfaction whatsoever. I would absolutely recommend the Main Street Veterinary Hospital to anyone who is looking for honest, sincere and genuine service. As far as I am concerned, they are the absolute best, and I have been to other vet clinics where the service wasn't this wonderful. I want to personally thank each of them for everything they've done! (I'd also like to add that it is very hard and rare to find a vet hospital where they deal with birds as well as other animals- where birds need to be dealt with and handled a bit differently- and Dr. Smith is truly very knowledgeable and experienced with birds and I am so grateful I know I can go to him for anything for both my fur and feather baby)!

Heather Locke

My large dog hates getting her nails trimmed but the staff (especially Wendy) handles her well. The vets is kind and passionate giving me options on how to improve all my pets lives; he is also a skilled surgeon. Without this vets care I would have lost my senior dog years ago.

Wendy Morrell

I took my kitten for his needles today and we had a great visit. Dr. Smith was great and he answered all of my questions. His staff were very friendly and helpful.

Allen Smolenaars

This vet clinic is fantastic. On a trip from Ontario to Nova Scotia, our pug was suffering from extreme anxiety. We stopped in here and the vet and front desk staff were amazingly accommodating, getting us in quickly and doing a thorough exam. After giving us some medication, we finished our trip happy and healthy. Highly recommended as a friendly, professional and very knowledgable location. Thanks for all the help and advice.

Dr Smith is an excellent veterinarian, as are his staff in both the Fredericton and Oromocto locations. We’ve been taking our two dogs and two cats to the clinic for 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Very good, honest people. J MacDonald

Very disappointed seeing all of these positive reviews with people who’ve had a great experience when dealing with complications with their animals. Unfortunately not all of us are as lucky!! That was the first and last time I will EVER bring any of my animals into that hospital. Our cat got put down because the medication that was given to him didn’t help his problem, it made him worse. I asked about an x-ray If somehow they could determine the cause of what was hurting our baby! The vet continued to say it was very UNLIKELY anything would show up. And to add some sprinkles on top, we had to pay $150 just for her to stick a needle in his heart, and if we wanted some ashes, we’d have to look at a much higher price. What do you do with the ashes afterwards? Toss them in the garbage??? I’m not even going to get into how terrible the bedside manner was, if your looking for a loyal, friendly veterinarian I highly suggest going to Douglas. Never had a problem, easy to talk to, great knowledge on all of their products, and I can guarantee the staff would of handled this hard time for us exquisitely. When I didn’t have the money to take in my animal, they gave me information on how to treat her from home and it actually worked. They provided step by step instructions, and The Main Street Vet would most likely tell you she’d need to be put down. But don’t take my word for it!!!!

Michelle Kozina

Dr. Smith is the top Vet in Canada for our breed of dogs. He is someone to count on! He is the best of the best!

Pam Hoben

I have been using Dr Smith’s services for the past 10 years, I know vet services are expensive every where, but he is very reasonable. Six years ago I was upset over a bill and he even had a dispute resolution person contact me and work out what I thought was a fair solution, not many people, little lone a business owner would consider doing that. Since then Main St vet has always treated my cats in the past and now my lovely but chubby boxer “Justice”, with care and compassion. Thank You Dr Smith!

Melanie Johnston

Just a had wonderful experience at the main street veterinary hospital. It was my first time here, the vet was very informative, looked after my kitty's well being from head to toe and really knew what he was doing. So I glad I came here! I would definitely recommend this vet to any friend! Thank you again for all your help main street veterinary hospital!!

Aaron Huskins

We have started bringing our furr baby Dexter into Main St vet, and could not be anymore pleased with the staff and Dr. Smith. Very professional, and great service. I would just like to say thank you to the staff, for treating my baby like your own!

Susan Napper-LeDuc

Many thanks to Shawn and his staff for the exceptional care of all our pets over the years! It is a comfort to have a clinic and a vet we can trust.

Hugo van Rhijn

A vet who really goes that extra mile when it comes to true pet care on both sunny and sad days. Every dog owner knows what it’s like having to say goodbye to a faithful family member. For us and our old French sheepdog that day came last october. A day on which we found ourselves in the hands of a professional team with a very warm and understanding heart. Two days later when we were still missing our Coco intensely a little card from the team came In the mail. A small gesture but truly very much appreciated!

Faye Buckley

Not the most compassionate vet or staff. I was made to feel like a nuisance just for trying to get a straight answer on a very emotional day. If you cant empathize with pets and their owners, maybe dont work in a veterinary practice.

Joshua Parker

Very professional team at this veterinary practice. Our cat has pneumonia and was having trouble breathing, the friendly staff at the clinic got us in the same day and where their for us when we needed them. The staff and the vet here genuinely care for animals and will go out of their way to care for them as if they where there own. Even from just being in the waiting room I could hear the front desk staff calling past clients to check up on their wellfare to ensure they are recovering well. Our animals become part of our families and look to us to make sure they live a full and healthy life, if you are looking for a vet within the fredericton area i highly recommend this practice.

Nincie Comeau

Regular vet was closed, and our dog has a serious on-going stomach issue. They took us in at 2pm on a Saturday when they were closing without hesitation. The vet was thorough and suggested different remedies and also didn't charge for after-hours.

Without question, Dr. Smith & his staff are the best in the city of Fredericton & most likely the province. I've had him deal with Me ( the most difficult patient!) & my pets for 20 yrs. …

great experience, all the staff took a personal interest in our dog BUD. i would highly recommend Dr. Shawn Smith...he always goes above and beyond.

Elaine Hatt

Great vet and awesome staff! Always answering all my questions and listening to my concerns. Always willing to look at my birds when they are sick when other places won't even try.

Kelly VanHorne

I had an excellent experience taking my dog here! Dr. Smith gave me very detailed information on how to treat my dog, and was willing to listen to all of my questions and address my concerns with knowledgeable answers. Dr. Smith was also very willing to listen to my suggestions and treatment options. The staff out front was also very patient with my dog who barked like a maniac for the first 5 minutes we were there. Thank you for being so patient and for such a great experience!

I always take my animals here. Dr. Shawn Smith is always caring and knowledgeable. He gives great advise and staff are very kind. Highly recommend.

Like most folks, our dogs and cat are much loved family members to us. We are diligent in searching for and connecting with the best-quality pet care service providers in this region. We have trusted Dr. Smith and the staff at Main Street Vet with our pet's health care needs for many years. Dr. Smith is a very knowledgeable and skilled Vet. We are always treated with utmost care, respect, and professionalism. Again today, we needed help for our dog. We started the day worried and stressed. We called this morning and were scheduled immediately. As usual, Dr. Smith took his time, thoroughly examined our dog and clearly explained what's happening, and what our treatment options are. Thanks again, for your caring and professional approach!

Janice Godin

We took our little dog, Jack, for a bath, trim and nail clipping. We are extremely glad that Jack enjoyed his experience. All the ladies were wonderful to us and to our little Jack. Thank you!

Tim Allen

We have been bringing our labs to Dr. Smith for a few years. He always takes the time to answer our questions and address our concerns. He doesn't require an office visit to purchase flea and tick products and his prices are very reasonable compared to other clinics I have dealt with in the past. He always makes sure we are aware of our options and doesn't try to sell us any procedures that aren't necessary. Not to mention, he can clip our senior dogs nails in record time LOL. I recommend him to anyone who asks and will continue to do so.

Trystan Stewart

I wonder how many of these reviews are fake because this is not a 5 star vet. This is a vet who is only in it for the money, not the love of animals. He is really rough with all animals even the cats and toybreed dogs, and he charges way more then any vet I've ever been too. This man shouldn't be in bussiness, read the reviews.

Hannah Cyr

My cat was brought here two weeks ago for a spay. Needless to say I will never bring another pet here again. The surgery went well and the incision was beautiful. The assistants were amazing and comforting. I followed the after care steps to make sure my cat healed nicely. Just a few days ago I noticed the incision was opened so I brought her back to the dr who did it. As soon as I get there he was very rude and not compassionate at all. I was very worried about my cat. He got very frustrated that he had to do stitches and clean it out. He did not discuss any pricing with me or what it is he had to do to fix her. He then proceeded to handle my cat roughly and aggressive because she couldn’t stay still and kept wiggling she was terrified, he gave her a needle for the anesthesia that I signed for but then he made her cry. I was told that was normal. Either way I’ve watched my cat get all her vaccines and she’s never cried or made a peep. I get a phone call she was ready to go and I asked how much it was going to be and I was told 500$. The spay itself was only 333$ taxes in including a cone and the pain medication for after so I asked why it was more this round. The assistant got him to lower it to 435$ Taxes in but still this is a ridiculous amount to pay for half the supplies to do the stitches including antibiotics which he did not tell me was going to be needed, we went in and discussed with him why it was so much. He basically said it’s for his time and the medication and supplies even though it’s half of the time then it was the first time. I am a student and I could not afford to pay 500$. He said he didn’t care and didn’t like to re do his work. Basically what I’m saying is. Whether or not you’ve had a good experience here. I don’t recommend you bring your pets here. Very rude and not compassionate for the animal or the pet owners. If there was an option to not give stars I wouldn’t. This vet is all for the money and not for the animal.

Jessica Thebeau

We love the everyone at Main Street Vet! We always leave with questions answered & have had to make last minute vet trips that they accommodated without hassle. We have 2 little boys who can sometimes be noisy but the vet assistants always talk to them or keep them entertained while our dogs are being looked at. We couldn't ask for a better place to take our pups!

Sarah Brown

I just got my cat groomed there today. What an amazing job Stacy did and the lady working the front desk was so helpful. I could not be happier with the treatment of my beautiful animal and myself. I will be back with little Louie. <3

Visiting this veterinarian with a dog that I am currently fostering has been one of the most horrible experiences that I have ever encountered. I left in tears. The veterinarian was extremely condescending and belittling, and continued to be despite realizing that he was (and apologizing for it multiple times throughout the visit). He was also rough with the dog to the point where I was uncomfortable and on the verge of walking out. I expect far more from a veterinarian who has been practicing for more than two decades. Perhaps he should take a refresher course on empathy and good bedside manners. It’s downright shameful to the veterinary community to behave in such a way—a complete disregard for clients. I’m disgusted and disheartened by today’s experience. Needless to say, I won’t be returning and recommend AVOIDING this place at all costs.

Mandy OBrien

Brought my dog in for a rabies booster after he tangled with a raccoon and lost a dew claw. The vet I saw said NOTHING about the claw, after I mentioned it multiple times because I was concerned about infection. He spent the entire time telling me how my dog was fat, 10 lbs overweight, would need surgeries and whatnot in the future. Said I needed to have him dewormed SIX times a year?? Of all the vets I have seen I have NEVER heard this! I asked for his nails to be clipped, and he made me pin my dog down and criticized me for not being able to keep him down. My dog is 90 lbs and not easy to hold down when he wants to get loose. WORST VET VISIT EVER!

peggy little

the ladies are amazing.....but never would I bring another pet here...phoned the emergency number, my dog would not stop coughing...told to reach in his mouth because something was caught in his throat, took him to another on call emergency vets...they ex rayed, his lungs where full and his heart was enlarged....he had congestive heart failure....

Olivia Talmage

We took our dog Lucy here because she smelled insanely bad. When we brought her in he said she just needed her anal glands expressed and she would be fine. The liquid came out a dark disgusting brown and could not possibly have smelt worse. We paid 35 bucks and that was that. We have since moved and she smelled again so we brought her to a new vet. This time the liquid was pale in color with a little blood but the vet immediately said it was infected and offered us medication. Now, 3 months later, we have found her anal gland is hard and will not express. Why is that? Scar tissue, because it was infected for so long. Because The Main Street Vet didn't know that regular anal glands excrete a pale yellow-brown liquid instead of something I can best describe as curdled chocolate milk. I encourage you to google how much it costs and the complications related to removing an anal gland before you decide to take your loved one to this terrible vet.

Sales McSaleson

My dog had small lump of cancer removed from paw. Was told the results would come in and if important they would tell us. Never heard anything again. He charged me $1200 plus the medications. I took the paperwork to another vet who laughed at how crazy the charges were. My best friend was put to sleep a month later because he was full of Cancer. Full of it. Another $350 elsewhere that couple have avoided the unnecessary $1200 out of my bank account, a parent and student, and pain and suffering of my best friend. Go elsewhere. This is just another vet for money.

Marie Rioux

Thx from.ouna and our family This vet went above and beyond when no other vet could figure out what was happening with a huge sore on his lips This is the first time that I go to a veterinarian clinic where a vet takes in consideration the price of every procedures He cares so much that he called me with the lab results after his shift Thx again

Free Dom

Brought my little weener dog in for yearly needles, the vet was extremely angry at got quite annoyed that my dog wouldn't stop moving (dog was nervous of course) The vet got real rough with my dog and when I spoke to him about this he shut me down. I was charged over $400 for 2 shots, Which seemed high but I didn't know until a year later when I switched vets and went Debbie Sewell and was charged $189 for the exact same shots

Dr. Smith is the best vet I’ve had in a long time. He takes the time to answer all your questions, cares very deeply for your pets and has great customer service they are very quick to get you in when your pet is in need. I will recommend this vet to everyone I know that has animals they are very professional and really care about your pets well being.

Vincent Graffagnino

Got a new puppy a few months ago and brought him to this vet for his shots. It's been great. Love the blend of eastern and western medicines as well as the great attitudes of the doctor and staff

Shawnya Couture

I would just like to say thank-you to Dr.Smith and his staff for seeing our little kitty Pippa who was going on day 3 of vomiting and not eating or drinking. I was given an appointment immediately and found Dr. Smith was very kind and comforting assuring me Pippa would be ok. He treated her and told me not to hesitate to call the office for anything. She started feeling better the same night and the next day was very close to being back to normal. Thank you again Dr. Smith and thank-you for the phone call. And Wendy thank-you for keeping me calm and being there all the way????

We took a cat in to be spayed and we were quoted $270. Right after dropping our cat off they call and say the cat is pregnant and it will be a couple of $100 more than quoted. The cat had NEVER been outside and told them that the cat was just chubby but could not be pregnant , then when we went to pick the cat up they had bumped the bill to $545 because the cat was overweight which was never mentioned until pickup. Total money grab, find a more ethical vet to use cause this ain't it.

I have been taking all of my boxers to Dr.Smith for many years. From the moment I am greeted by the amazingly pleasant staff, to the wonderful knowledge and professionalism Dr. Smith provides, it is always a great experience. I do not hesitate to recommend Main Street Veterinary Hospital to anyone.
