I really can't give this place enough praise! They're PHENOMENAL doctors and the entire staff was so wonderful with me and my very anxious puppo. They were extremely thorough and let me ask all sorts of questions. I felt like I was having a conversation about my dog's health instead of being lectured about it. At one point my vet didn't know the answer to something we were discussing, and she actually went to another vet to ask for their advice. Unheard of!

We have gone to many other vets. Their prices are good, they listen and truly care. Dr. G saved my black labs life and she had the surgery needed at their sister hospital.

Little Iggy got his vaccines, physical, and all for only $64!!! I won’t bad mouth another vet clinic, but their charges are sooo inflated... I highly recommend West side pet clinic. Awesome...just awesome!! I lost my beloved dog Macie of 11 years on November 12, 2019. I am totally lost without her. I can not say enough about the caring, professional and loving people at West Side Pet Clinic. I had the roughest 3-1/2 weeks after my dog was given 2 weeks to 2 months to live. I lost my best friend who would guide and warn me of my chronic health issues. The staff called regularly to check on Macie during this time. The Doctor was very informative, caring, patient and sincere (now I remember that he did resemble Dr Oz..lol) as he explained the euthanasia process. I was a complete mess and he was 100% there for me as I held her while the process was done and a few minutes afterwards. I’m on a fixed income and even tho the prices at the clinic are very reasonable, I was having some financial difficulties and they were very accommodating. Today, I received a card with beautiful handwritten words of comfort and the staff all signed, it definitely meant a lot to me. When I picked up her remains I also received her paw prints with jewels and her name. I loved my Macie Girl unconditionally...we were down like 2 flat tires!! Thank you West Side Pet Clinic you are the best and I would highly recommend them for your pets health and comfort. I miss her so much ???????? Much love ????

Very affordable and the staff is friendly, kind and caring. They can provide most basic care, including prescriptions for medicine and special pet foods - and will refer you to an affiliated clinic if your pet requires treatment they can't provide (surgery or the use of specialized diagnostic equipment). The only caveat is that as of writing this review, most days are a first come first served basis, with some exceptions when they have a day that you can schedule an appointment at a specific time.

They were so caring. Their prices are more than fair. I always had a good feeling about the excellent care my dog received. When the sad time came that I had to put my very old and sickly dog down, the veterinarian and staff were really kind and compassionate. They sent me a hand-written sympathy card.

If i could type an essay on this place, i soo would. Lol .. Needless to say, every single person working here is amazing beyond belief. Very friendly, caring and extremely gentle. Me and my fiance have brought Benjamin (chihuahua) here time and time again. And then just recently we rescued another little guy Caesar (chi-poo) and brought him here as well and got him the puppy package. They make you feel welcome and they DO NOT over charge for services. We love the staff and the dr's and we recommend them to everybody we know. The best vet clinic we have ever been to. Prices are great, people are great, the wait time is great as well. You cant beat that. Thank you guys again for all that you do for our fur babies. You are all wonderful. And i mean it. I wouldnt take mine anywhere else but here. Even if we moved out of buffalo ...this would still be the only place that we trust and love. ????

My baby boy Zuse was so sick he couldn't even walk, the staff came running out with a stretcher and helped my daughter and I get him into be seen. They took him back to a room right away, they were so kind, helpful and understanding. The doctor and her staff were amazing. They worked with me to do what was in the best interest of my dog. They are priced reasonably, and were even willing to use an emergency fund to help care for my boy if they needed to. I am so grateful for everyone at this amazing clinic. Zues's own vet was not willing to help, and basically told me I get everything they wanted done or nothing at all. Some very special and amazing people work here and I will recommend them to everyone I know!

excuse my psoriasis, but this past week was my first time bringing my 2 cats. this particular cat has anxiety and they were aware of that. unfortunately they cut one of his claws too short and placed liquid bandage on the end. leaving the facility he was quite anxious, while his brother was not. i find odd because i am 18 with no medical experience or past pets and have easily clipped his paws since he was a kitten without and issue. i’d expect people with veterinary experience not to rush and make such a simple mistake.

We give West Side Pet Clinic a thumbs up. My brother referred us. He took his fur son there. We liked we didnt have to make an appointment, we could go when it was convenient for us. Once there, everyone was pretty friendly. The staff showed they really cared about Riley. We didnt feel rushed. It wasnt too busy, one owner was waiting and one owner was checking out. They have a parking lot which was nice not to park in the street. We go back in a month for updates. ????????????

Bad place to take your dog , they are not profecional my dog was nervous, and the nurse tried to weigh her and my dog tried to bite her. The nurse took my dog in a bad way and reluctantly put her in a bad attitude. She works with dogs. She knows that can happen to her. also they put the vaccines. When they stopped they put it on reluctantly and my dog couldn't walk well for 3 days. Bad services, they are not friendly starting with the secretary, nurses and doctor. I will never return

Could not be happier with West Side Pet Clinic! Even during social distancing related to COVID-19, they developed safe systems to stay open and provide the emergency care we needed for our beloved cat Toonces. This is not the first time we got amazing service, but we're especially grateful during this time when we are hesitant to go out at all. It's a great relief to know that if we need them, they'll be there. Plus, their attentiveness to following up and making sure Toonces got the care he needed would have been impressive even under normal circumstances. Can't recommend them highly enough!

I didn't like it at all. Would not recommend this vet to anybody. They didn't do anything and the doctor had no idea what she was doing. I've been to 3 other vets for my other dogs and I really liked them but this vet is the worst one I've ever been to. Was not happy at all and didn't like how she was treating my dog. She was just guessing what my dog had. She had no idea what was going on. Wouldn't really let me talk. She pretended like I don't know my own dog. It's not the proper check up and she told me my dog had a very high fever but I said how bc my dog showed no signs of a fever . So she checked it again and said she has no fever. Makes no sense. Doctor was not even friendly like other vets i will never go back here. She did not help at all. Just a waste of money. Plus it's not the most clean place .. also while grabbing my dog she made my dog bleed. Worst vet I've ever gone to.

We had to put a dog down due to illness and the staff scheduled the appt and we were able to spend time with the dog before that day came. Unfortunately due to covid, only one person was allowed to go back with her. But they were more affordable than anywhere else. When we went back to pick up the ashes, they were in a lovely box. Also they had included and nice card and her pawprints in cement. It was a sad time but I recommend them for affordability and kindness during a time like that.

I have been coming here well over 4 years. For the most part I really like it. They are affordable, knoelagable ,and (sometimes) very good with the animals. For my pets it's a fairly okay time for them. Rooms are always cleaned and nice, water outside for the animals. Recently they have hired a new secretary who's attitude is absolutely horrible. Over phone and in person. She tried to not give me my dogs rabies tags, then threw them on the counter after she read they're paperwork (legit threw) I have 3 dogs. No envelope for them or anything then caught a bigger attitude when I asked for a pen to label them. someone called to say they were outside for they're appt and the second she hung up the phone started talking not so great stuff. I left in awe. I'm honestly happy she's not a vet or I WOULD NOT bring my dogs there. They used to have great customer service idk how she still has a job there honestly. If it was not for her I would have given 5 stars

Each time I go to the West Side Pet Clinic I leave completely at ease and with happier cats. My cats are getting up there in age and have been having their "moments", usually last minute moments where I need to have them looked at right away. This is the vet clinic that all 3 of my pups go to. I love the care and true concern that they show my pups. My veterinarian Dr. Sue, is very thorough and brutally honest which I love. She will tell you the truth; good or bad w no apologies. What I love about her is that she LISTENS to you. She knows how much I love animals and my pups. She sees that i treat them like my children and concerned about any littke thing that may occur. My last pup has some serious issues & had to be returned for immediate surgery. She even spoke to the place I purchased her from to explain the severity of the problem. Then she followed up w me on the results but I haven't heard anything from the Kennel yet. She was going to their hospital on Thursday, yet I've heard nothing so far. If all goes well, I'll go back to get her as I told the owner of the kennel. A fantastic and long overdue neighborhood resource. The staff is dedicated, friendly and efficient. Their pricing is realistic, and takes the economic status of the community seriously. For basic checkups, shots, and diagnosis/diagnostic imaging they are the go-to on the West Side. For surgery, and major issues, they refer patients to McLelland Small Animal Hospital downtown. The nicest thing about the West Side Pet Clinic, is that you are not bombarded with employees trying to upsell you "Wellness Packages" while you're sitting there worried about your sick/injured family member. That other Niagara Street Veterinarian and their financial bean counters could learn a thing or two from West Side Pet Clinic.

He had all his shots, a couple visits due to crazy hard to kill fleas & his allergy to them and they have taken good care of him, and his slightly neurotic pet humans. I used to think they were great but they told me that if my cat didn't go to the bathroom to take him somewhere to get xrays done. The necg morning he was fine and pooped. Their moto is to be a low cost clinic so people who are scared to go into the high cost fancy clinics (for good reason... no one wants to spend 2 paychecks on their fur baby) have a animal loving center that takes great care of the pets that come through their doors! It is VERY difficult to get ahold of them. I have a dog they diagnosed with cancer without running ANY tests, based on a tumor and they gave me medication to “keep him comfortable”. Then after over a year i asked them to amputate his foo. after running bloodwork and scheduling a surgery, they did not answer or return a single phone call or message left for almost a month. I had tons of questions that went unanswered and when I FINALLY spoke to the vet she said she was out on a medical leave “didn’t anyone tell you?” Because I said absolutely nobody had any information for us or for back to us. I have another dog who has an eye infection and I left them a message and they still didn’t respond!! I am so disappointed with their lack of response. There have been several times that they have not responded for at least 2 or 3 days. It’s completely unacceptabl. they don’t have anyone to answer the phone, they just have a voicemail system, which they clearly do not respond to in a timely manner. Very unprofessional in my opinion. My dog is 13 years old and been going there since he was a puppy and I had to switch vets because they are so difficult to get ahold of. Absolutely ridiculous.

It is an amazing place. They work fast and really good. They are also really polite and nice to you and your pet. I just had to fill in form which I already did in advance and gave my previous records and they took care of everything. The place is nice and clean. The vet which in my case was Dr. Sickels was great. At first another lady brought us to the exam room and took all the info needed and gave some treats. She was really nice. Then Dr. Sickels came over and was really informative, answered all my questions of concern and performed physical exam and gave shots to my cat. Everything went great. It is also cheaper than anywhere else and there are no hidden fees or anything like that. Convenient place with parking. Definitely recommend! :)

Service was great by a caring vet. It's a no frills place so if your looking for all the extra its not for you. Everyone is friendly and the vet takes his time and is not in a rush.

This is a walk in clinic which is great. I took my 4 week old kitten. The staff was so caring with us. They answered all our questions and helped us with caring better for my fur baby. I got a called the day after in which they explained the lab results with suggestions on changes in my kitten diet. Definitely coming back.

I've brought my dog there a few times and always impressed with services. I appreciate they're prices are lowered to make pet care affordable. However I am very disappointed over the compassion of this place. I had limited resources at the moment and simply asked they trim my dogs nails. They are getting long and I didnt want my dog to get hurt. I practically begged and they offered everything but the simplest remedy for my dog. I have a friend who is a NYS vet tech from another place coming to trim my dogs nails so she wont have to walk in discomfort. I hope they really know you can spend years building a reputation and destroy it in minutes. I certainly feel different about this place in recent light of my situation, but wont completely rule them out. As I said I've been happy with they're services but any medical place should operate from compassion first. They would've gotten. 5 stars had I wrote this before. I wasnt aware 15.00 would break the practice trying to keep my dog groomed. 5/19/2019 I didnt mean to hang up on you so I do apologize but heres my point the disability insurance said they mailed my check on Wednesday from South Carolina and it has not reached me. I very been out of work since Mid April. The little money I do have on hand is being used for food for my 2 children. My wife is sick and is in and out of Drs all day. That's why I'm on disability. I explained I had no money, but my claim after 16 out of the legal 18 days allowed to approve or deny a claim had not been resolved but I would pay with a debt card the moment my money became available. Once again I heard you say with out the 15.00 minimum you could not nor would you see and treat my dog. As I said I'm not put off from what you guys do, I was just disappointed that's all. If I can reach out Monday i absolutely will by no later then Wednesday. Be well and have a great weekend!!

Took my dog to the West Side Pet Clinic on 1245 Niagara Street and they are very UNPROFESSIONAL AND ABUSIVE!!!! It was the worst experience of my life and the staff didn’t even care!!! My dog Romeo was a bit nervous so they asked to put a mussel on his mouth and I agreed when the doctor started checking his private area the doctor grabbed my dog and slammed him on the table! When I asked him to let go of my dog he said “he needed to show who the boss was” ???????? I immeditely grabbed my dog and left the clinic!! The staff was unprofessional and they didn’t care and said to post it on social media specifically “anywhere I wanted” so that’s exactly what I’m doying!! Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

I had been to the clinic several times for my cat who has fallen ill. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the wait time was very reasonable. The drs and vet techs are very knowledgeable and seem to genuinely care about their clients and our pets. I will definitely return in the future and would recommend this office to others

The level of concern and knowledge was top notch. I am very satisfied with the level of service and courtesy my Cat and I received today. I've been taking my dog there for years now , I never had a problem until yesterday . My dog wasnt feeling well so I took her in for a check up they told me about 2 services 1 that will be about $50 and it was just her blood work to check 2 things and another which was $115 for her blood work and urine sample to check multiple things. They couldnt get urine from her while she was there so they gave me a kit to do it at home within almost 2 hours I had the sample and went back to give it to them I get there and called there number (you can't go in due to covid) but anyway I call and the lady answered asked my name and everything then says oh that will be 35 dollars!!! Mind you I paid for their bigger package to get all the test done .so I tried to be calm but whoever was on the other line was not being professional at all .the person I spoke to before said one thing and this person is saying another. Usually there very clear about there info and pricing but whoever was working there today wasnt at all and very unprofessional at the end of the day so I basically had warm dog urine in my car! I will be finding a knew doc to take my dog too.

I brought my cat Levi in because he was losing weight and had blood in his poop. The veterinarian was a young man who took the time to listen to my concerns and gave Levi an examination. He than took blood to send into a lab to check and see if my cat may have other health issues, we will get the results back, hopefully tomorrow. I really appreciated the time and care he showed my cat and me, the whole staff was amazing! I highly recommend going here, they are very affordable and have walk in hours most days.
