Dr. Albert and the staff at City Creatures have been very helpful. Our dog, Riley, recently passed away unexpectedly (through absolutely no fault of City Creatures) and Dr. Albert has taken the time to help me understand what happened and bring some peace and clarity during this time. During Riley's life, Dr. Albert and the other doctors provided excellent care for my pet. The evening hours and Saturday morning office hours made it easy for us to find good appointment times. I would have given 5 stars, but sometimes the wait time on hold when I called on the phone was a little long - but overall, they do a great job caring for the pets in a professional and compassionate manner.

Although it is emotional for me to bring my Girl to the Vet because she has anxiety and I hate hearing her cry. Dr. Albert was very knowledgeable and patient with us and got done what was necessary to do. From now on all of Ellie's appointments will be scheduled with him because he can handle her physical behavior due to her emotional state. Although she is sedated it makes her a little easier to handle. Thank you Dr. Albert and Staff Assistants for helping us like no other Veterinarian has been able to.

Vet Doctor was really rude and condescending, and literally said he didn't know what was wrong with my dog and had ZERO information. She had a tumor and he just gave us antibiotics and sent us on our way... our dog died a few hours after bringing her home. He did not tell us her vitals or anything. The nurses were very kind, but the Veterinarian was so rude and cocky. He didn't know anything is exactly what he said. I could've done his job for him. HORRIBLE. He also compared how he just put his dog to sleep a week prior like it was a contest. Grade A ass.

My cat Scout needed to have dental surgery. The staff was so helpful in getting my pet in the day that I called for blood work and scheduling the surgery only 2 days later. This was my first surgery so I was rather nervous, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My Vet Jennine Ropke was super attentive and explained things so well that I had no questions afterwards. Anyone with a pet should bring them here, you will not be sorry.

I have been using City Creatures for about 2 years now for my two Australian Shepherds. I came from another vet office that made you feel uncomfortable every time you called as if you were bothering them. I was so happy when I was referred here instead. Before coming to this vet I was making vet visits monthly for my girl who was always sick and they could never figure out what was wrong with her. I first saw Dr. Spires (who I miss very much) and she got down on the floor to play with my dogs while explaining to me what could be the issue. She was very kind and understanding that my girl had a reoccurring issue and that I don't have deep pockets to pay for vet visits every month. I was very grateful for that. Since switching vets I have only been here once or twice for my girls original issue, other than that its just routine check ups and shots. Every time I call they place me on hold but I don't mind, they always get me an appointment that fits my schedule (I love that they have night and weekend hours) and if I ever need shot records they will email them right away. I don't usually have to wait long if at all so I don't agree with the other reviews on long wait times. I refer anyone who asks about this place because I feel confident in their services and pricing.

A little disappointed. Got a new pup and on first visit they asked if I planned to spay her. I said yes but nothing more on the subject. Then I find out about the friends of pets program and they are part of it. I called about it a few times then was told I don't qualify for it because she's had more then one visit. Only new customers. Why wouldn't they tell me this on the first visit? And she's only been going here for two weeks a total of three visits. Still seems to be a new customer to me. Now I'm subject to finding another vet/clinic that will honor the friends of pets or pay full price.

They also spelled it wrong on all of the paperwork and kept calling him “her”. ???? Also I only went to them during Covid but the wait time is unreal. Over two hours each time.

I had a 6 month old husky named Momma with the most beautiful eyes. A cat scratched her one eye so i brought her in. They said there was no saving the eye but it was a simple or common procedure. I left my dog there that early eve in by 830 that night they called me and said she had passed!!!!! Im mortified, i just dont get it. Even with her eye situation she was happy in jumping and licking everbody!!!!! I do not recommend having anything done here at all. Im out a family member over something that was suppose to be so simple smh????????????

If I could give a Zero star review I would! These people are absolutely heartless money hungry monsters. They are very rude and pushy with sales. The money matters more than the pets health, I was sent home along with my sick dog because I couldn’t afford the heafty prices, refused to even give me advise on how to care for her until I had the money. I have 2 dogs and am watching my Daughter's while she is on vacation. All 3 developed aggressive diarrhea. On Friday of a holiday weekend. City Creatures advertises as an emergency animal hospital. I called on Tuesday morning ... they were able to get me in at 1pm. I showed up, they treated the dogs with appropriate antibiotics and Wednesday, they are already showing signs of recovery. My normal vet said they could send in fecal samples but wouldn't be able to make an appointment for 2 weeks ... no longer my Vet!

The reason for the three stars is cuz, you should offer a payment an forget owners when there is a procedure that has to be done on their fur babies. It's such a shame that there seems to be such heartless when it comes to this. I understand you have a business to run exspecially now but with fining out that customers have gone elsewhere do to your prices, you would think there would be a chance. Other than that, the office is a nice place but due to pricing, there may be a change in my near future.

The doctors and vet techs take expert care of our elderly dog. They run on schedule (we have never been in the waiting room longer than 10 minutes) but somehow also never rush us through -- we always get all the time and attention that our dog needs. Our dog needed an all-day IV, and they somehow made it work for her to stay in the exam room all day so we could sit with her, and they made us feel like the schedule accommodation was no big deal! They care deeply about pet well-being, and they treat owners just as well as they care for the animals. 14/10

My poor cat had an ear infection as well as an ear/aural hematoma over the holiday weekend. Sunday night, he was taken to an Emergency Vet, and given topical ear drops and then we were recommended to follow up with his regular Vet in a couple of days. This morning, I called our regular vet at City Creatures, and they were able to get us in right away. My cat is an indoor cat only, and gets pretty distressed when I take him out for a drive, so we are pretty lucky City Creatures is only a few blocks away. During examination, Dr. Albert gave me some options for treatment and then suggested to me what he would do IF IT WERE HIS CAT. I truly appreciated his honesty, because rather than suggesting the most expensive option, he suggested what was truly best for my cat in terms of comfort and healing. Before leaving, my cat also received a steroid shot to help him with his comfort and healing, and the doctor also instructed us to continue giving my cat his topical antibiotic. They are highly professional and staff is friendly. Overall satisfaction is 5 out of 5 stars.

I struggled to find a Veterinarian who wasn’t reluctant on treating my dog as he’s sick and he was declared terminal and placed on palliative care by a several other Vets without even doing an X-ray. Dr. Albert saw my dog and wanted to get answers before assuming the worst which I had been unable to get anyone prior to even try. The staff was friendly, kind, and supportive! The office was clean and the environment was very nice. I appreciate the staff for treating him as if he had been their patient since he was a pup. Highly recommend this clinic whether it’s simply for preventative care or you have something that needs to be addressed specifically. Regardless of the diagnosis in the end, I’m truly grateful to have them give him the chance to have proper care and find some comfort after struggling with both of those over the last month.

I went to City Creatures for a 2nd opinion with my dog. They didn't have better news for me, but the way they handled it with me was beyond amazing. The staff and the vets are very professional and also very caring. Instead of just telling me the bad news, they offered options, and ultimately helped me with my decision. They didn't just want my dog to go through more and more tests at my expense, knowing that I wasn't going to find answers before it was too late. They definitely do things the right way. They provide tissues, water bottles, grieving pamphlets, chocolate, etc in a little bin when you have to either say goodbye to your pet, or process the bad news. Very comforting, unlike other vets where they just want you to go up to the cashier and move onto the next. Nothing but respect for this office. Also, Dr. Albert was very very good with me when I sat in their office for 2 hours deciding whether or not I was going to say goodbye to my dog. He answered every single question I had, and gave me different options and different scenarios. Provided me with all of the information I needed to make the worst decision of my life. I don't think I would have received the same treatment from my normal vet's office.

We are sorry for your negative experience with us, Mr. Ferrick. Unfortunately, we are unable to fill antibiotics and ear medications without having seen a pet recently. In seven months time, numerous things can change with an ear infection or any type of infection, and medications may need to be changed, which would need to be assessed at an office visit by the veterinarian. We strongly believe that it this is what is in your pet's best interest which is why it is our policy. It is also the policy at most other veterinary and human medical offices for that reason. I started going to this office a couple of years ago when I began taking care of a day old puppy. The staff were both helpful and accommodating (aka answering my one million nervous phone calls and squeezing us in for appointments). Recently one of the outdoor cats in my neighborhood showed up on my porch with what appeared to be a broken leg. Due to COVID-19, getting a vet appointment for a new patient (especially a semi-feral cat) seemed to be impossible. After calling multiple clinics and having a clinic out of town refuse to treat him, I called City Creatures for a recommendation. Denise (always helpful ????) spoke with one of the doctors and made the little cat an appointment for that day. He was treated for his injuries and the whole team that worked with him was very kind and patient (with both me and the cat). Thank you to the doctor(s), technicians, and other team members who helped to ensure this animal got the care he needed.

I have six cats. The doctors at City Creatures have saved the lives of four of them. Brought two back from anorexia lasting a week. Handled three critical injuries. They listen very well, and as my cats' printed files tell me, they take note of everything I say. They explain things well and don't try to pretend they have answers where they don't. But they make really good educated guesses when they have to, and they use all the resources available to them to offer the proper course of action. I'm pretty sure I have dealt with every doctor in the place and I don't have anything negative to say about any of them. Additionally, I feel comfortable leaving my cats with their entire staff. I know for sure that when my sweeties go in there that they will be treated with kindness and affection even if I can't be by their sides. Not once have I picked up a cat who was rattled from the experience. They are always calm and typically feeling a lot better when I pick them up. I have been through veterinarians like a revolving door over my lifetime, and have dropped so many it would make your head spin. These guys really earned my trust and respect. Regarding cost, in my experience all medical care gets pretty pricey, especially in a multi-cat household or when they get really sick or injured. But the doctors always give me options and solid advice. They never try to push anything down my throat or try to force me into spending money on something that isn't really needed. They tell me the options, the pros and cons of different courses of treatment, and let me decide what I want to do. They are very human and understand that sometimes you're just strapped for cash and can't do Plan A. Regardless, they do good work here. Paying a vet and having your beloved creature get sicker or die leads to a ton of resentment. I have been through that elsewhere, lots of times. These guys are really busy and popular due to the care they provide. Because of this, it may be hard to get one of their emergency sick visits that are held open for the same day. The receptionist will most likely ask if they can put you on hold or if it's an emergency when you call. They did recently expand and they have a lot of people on staff, but I don't see them ever not being busy. I feel sorry for the receptionists when I listen to them triaging phone calls every 30 seconds. Somehow, they still manage to take good notes, so kudos to them! To wrap it up, I trust them with the most important people in my life. Would recommend to anyone.

Very thorough and very compassionate people. Took my dog in because he lost the use of his hind legs, overnight. He was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, they brought all the equipment to the room he was in to perform the tests to confirm. Once confirmed and knowing he had less than 24 hrs we made the decision to euthanize him so he wouldn't suffer in his final hours. They left us in the room with him, told us to take as much time as we needed. They provided us with a care package that contained a button which I was to push when we were ready. I had him cremated and returned to me. They gave me his ashes in a beautiful cedar box along with a plaster impression of his paw and a sympathy card signed by all the staff. It was a difficult time and they made it as smooth as possible. Compassionate throughout!

My beautiful cat has had a problem with his left eye for over a month now. I have brought him into the office 3 times, and he has been treated by two different doctors. Each time prescribed a DIFFERENT medication, that did not work! The doctors seem very caring (i called to complain and they gave me my 3rd visit for no charge, still had to pau for a third medication), but clearly lack the knowledge needed for eye care. You can imagine the frustration i am feeling. Not only did the THREE medications NOT WORK, I have also had to spend money on his repeated appointments and the failing antibiotics. The money is not the issue, but the lack of knowledge definitely is! There is no reason i should have had to put my kitty through 3 failed appointments. Consistantly having to put a bright light in his eye, opening it up, and irritating it. I feel this last visit has made his eye even worse, between the testing, and this last medication offered to me. I will be returning this medication and finding a new doctors office that will not torture Pharoah any further.

My son needs his dog for emotional support. The woman on the phone was nice but told me I would lose my deposit since I needed to reschedule. Dr James Albert and City Creatures have always been there for Grace and me. She is eleven now, and has had two surgeries for breast cancer. She also suffered an FCE about six years ago. She went in for her shots, etc. on August11th 2021, and actually looked for the door and seems excited to go in. Like she was happy to be there. I find that unusual. We are so pleased with the way we are treated, and drive about 35 miles and past many veterinary clinics to get there. It's well worth it to us. I wouldn't want Grace to be treated anywhere else. Thank God we have City Creatures and Dr Albert to go to when Grace needs anything. Personally I think Grace would be happy just to stop in to say hi to the gang. And they'd probably be happy to say hi too.

edited- ive now had to bring 2 of my older rats in for sick visits, the vet techs at the front are always so nice and friendly & i’ve seen both exotic vets, both of which are always very kind. as far as treatment goes-my rat willow did pass away even after treatment, but i think there was an underlying issue. my rat poppy was back to her normal self after 2 weeks. i would definitely recommend this vet for small animals :-)

We have been a member of the practice for a few years and were on the verge of leaving the practice, until our visit with DR. WAITE! I had originally been referred to Dr. Albert, but unfortunately since he’s the best he’s hard to schedule with. I had visits with other docs, but without saying anything too negative, will just say they weren’t mine or my dogs’ favorite. I had started asking around for other vets in the area, but an urgent allergy/skin issue came up and we realized we needed to be seen to make sure it wasn’t something major. I decided to schedule with Dr. Waite this time, and after our first visit with her realized that we had found OUR vet. Dr. Waite spent a good amount of time with me and my dogs to explain how allergies/skin issue can cause problems for our furry friends. Dr. Waite was understanding of the financial concerns with various treatments for my dogs, and even gave my dogs attention and adoration, which is something they need when at the vet. She even “acts” like my dogs are some of the best in the world (because well to me, they are!), even though they are perhaps some of the worst patients in the practice. I may not always stay with City Creatures, but I can tell you that my dogs will ONLY ever see Dr. Waite, and as long as she is there, we will be as well. She is kind, professional, intelligent, and our ‘non-pet’ talk is enjoyable as well. She is a welcomed personality in the office.

First appt at the office, and I was greeted by the staff with all smiles. The first thing they wanted wasn't my credit card, or my check, but to play with "that cutie"(aka My dog). After getting her paperwork straight, and weighed in, Dr. Allen saw her. Let me know a bunch of stuff not obvious to me, such as past injuries, and the need for surgery and pain meds for my dog. I wasn't bugged to get her on the expensive HeartGard, once I told them I use Ivermectin on my ratties. In fact, they offered to help me dose it if needed. They also let me know my options with the surgery for my dog. Great place to bring your animals. Everyone working there is just as caring as the staff at the SPCA where I adopted from. I highly reccommend them as vets for your furballs.

The staff is outstanding! ???? I had been up with my sick dog for more than 48 hours, to state that I was stressed was an understatement to say the least. My senior dog (13 yrs) was intermittently losing the use of his legs, and he was clearly in pain. We came in as a new patient, and they were so thorough. Each staff member is extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to discuss with me all possibilities that could be causing his discomfort as well as all available treatment options in a manner that made me confident enough to make an informed decision in my dog's treatment. I was so happy and relieved going home because I had no doubt I made the right decision with the staff there. I have been to so many vets in the past that simply rush through the visit like an assembly line, not ever really taking the time to know the patient while charging exhorbitant fees. City Creatures is refreshingly the polar opposite of these other services. Their fees are also quite fair and reasonable. For once I don't feel terrified to ask the cost, and I know I won't ever go home with anxieties that I may not be able to afford my dog's treatment.

I've taken several of my dogs to this vet, I have one dog that I take here and another younger dog I take to another local vet so I can compare a bit on service and price. The Vets and Staff are nice and are loving to the dogs. As with all things medical, costs are rising and it is not cheap to own an pet anymore. I do think they offer a fair price and robust services. I will continue to take my dog to this Vet as they know her and my dog knows the clinic and staff and is at ease when we go there. It would be great if they could get my dog to live forever but I know they will take good care of her while she is with us.

I am new to having a rabbit and everyone has been very helpful. When it was an emergency they got me in right away. The first time I met the veterinarian last year during the pandemic, he told me I had to change my rabbits diets completely. I was shocked because what and how much I was feeding him was based on what I read and seen online. I'm sure my rabbit was in shock too when he stopped getting all the lettuce and vegis. But I am now confident I am giving my rabbit the correct diet. This vet also has evening and Saturday hours which is extremely helpful because I work full-time during the day. I recommend this place and will continue to bring my bunny here.

Upon entering patient room with my beloved dog, I noticed a pamphlet for veterinary acupuncture. It is totally unprofessional and inappropriate for a health care provider to peddle nonsense that is demonstrably useless for every indication that it has been scientifically tested on. It's either incompetency to understand the basics of the scientific veterinary literature which is bad, or worse it is knowingly scamming pet owners. My dog is a member of my family and I won't tolerate the peddling of psuedoscience especially in regards to her health. If they are willing to sell this one obvious nonsense, who knows what other extra unnecessary treatments they will try to trick people into. At least when a mechanic tries to upsell unnecessary services it isn't involving the health of a member of my family.

I wish my the staff at my own doctor's office had half the compassion & concern that is shown to me & my pets by the staff at City Creatures. Five years ago I moved to a rural community where within 5 miles there's 3 veterinary hospitals but I continue to drive the 45 minutes for my pets to receive their care there. I was even told that, although they would miss us, they completely understood if I received care for them closer to home but I never would. At times it can be a cumbersome drive but they are definitely worth the trip!!

I was quite disappointed by City Creatures' problematic communications and poor service. A simple kitten visit, which they said would require about 15-20 minutes of my waiting in the car in their parking lot, turned into a two hour wait - for no apparent reason. They didn't even apologize for this until I mentioned, on the phone the following day (after several tries to get hold of them), that I was extremely upset and would look for another vet service that is more respectful toward my time (and my kitten's stress level--she was separated from me for all this time.) While I realize that Covid-19 means that vet care may take longer, I can't think of a reason not to give people a realistic assessment of how long the procedures would last so that they may plan their life accordingly, rather than sit in a car in the parking lot, being told every 15 minutes that their pet would be out in five minutes. (To be fair, I will say that the vet seemed very nice, and spoke with me on the phone for 10-15 minutes). After this miserable afternoon, I am afraid we will need to find a clinic that cares both for nonhuman animals and for the humans among us.

My puppy Archer has been going to city creatures for a year and a few months now , since we got him from the shelter really . We are moving out of buffalo now and I say this - We'll miss this hospital ! the staff is just amazing especially Dr Sood . i never had any issues all the times i have been there neither has archer as he's always excited to go there despite all the vaccines . After being a client here for many many years from the day they opened their doors I came from their parent company which was All Creatures Animal Hospital, this animal hospital has treated all of my fur babies throughout all of the years. That includes 3 dogs 10 cats and 3 amazon parrots. I recently adopted three kittens and was supposed to have a office visit I spoke with office personnel 2 days before the visit the woman I spoke to was very rude and disrespectful, when I asked what the wellness visit included I was told it was just a regular office visit so I decided only to take one of the kittens who did not have the rabies shot yet, I was told by the office personnel you want to make sure you didn't get a LEMON, when I asked what she meant she told me she was referring to she had gotten a kitten from the SPCA at some point and it was a LEMON and died one week later, comparing a fur baby to a car. I was then asked if I thought I was a veterinarian because I chose to only have one of the kittens seen. I called back and was told that my appointment had been canceled and my account is now inactive and I am no longer a client. Not to mention the $10,000 plus that I have spent with City creatures over the years for office visits medications and treatments it's unfortunate that you treat your long-standing customers like this. I asked to speak with a doctor and she said no Dr would talk to me I asked to speak with the manager and she said no manager would talk to me. Your loss not mine.

It is always difficult to get an appt with a vet that does exotics. When we arrived for appt. we were told that we were an hour late. That was THEIR mistake not ours but they won’t admit it. We had to take our animal elsewhere. Took my cats there for a couple of years then switched vets due to unprofessional vet. She told me that my cats teeth would need to come out, took him elsewhere and his teeth are fine (and still are fine after several years) Another cat that was seen at city creatures since birth, was found to have a level 4 heart murmur when I took him elsewhere!!!! How did the vets not hear that???? He got an ekg and is on heart meds now! Dr. Albert was the BEST!!! But he’s not there anymore????

City Creatures was able to squeeze in my cat for a surgery consultation when no other vets in the area could/would. After discussing, it turns out it's best to wait it out and choose the surgery as a last option which we thoroughly discussed with the vet. I don't think I will be coming back here again. My parakeet is dying, probably from crop infection yet again. 3 one in 2 years & the only SPCA that was near me, is now closed for good. So my pet will die of starvation because I cant afford to pay to have it put to sleep. I had to resort to buying online bird antibiotics, and hope it get here before she dies, and hope it works. it might even kill the poor thing but its better than starving to death and suffering I am upset. I feel there is a lack of compassion not only with these vets but any vets. they are all about money. Avian vets are the worst of them, because they charge like hell for a bird. when they called me today, and when I said I could only afford a antibiotic I felt no real compassion from the person on the phone whatsoever. why cant they take payments? I was more than willing to give them my card number and let them charge my card a month charge til it was paid off. when you are in a wheelchair, disabled, living on welfare and food stamps it's not easy to make a full payment

This place was terrible I did not no what was going on with dog the doctor kept giving us the run around finally after 2 visits she said my dog had pyrometra because we never got her spayed and it would cost almost 5000 to get her in surgery I was devastated I already paid these people 1000 dollars. The next day they came and got her and about 30mins later the doctor called me he wasn't supposed to but he did and told me it wasn't that that her kidneys were failing and she was dieing. I had an emergency with my Russian tortoise. I was unable to get a same day appt but the receptionist I spoke with in the afternoon told me to call back at 8 am the following day to see if there was an opening. I was able to get in at 10 am that day. All the staff were so helpful. Dr Joe went out of his way to help repair my torts shell. He even went as far as going to another clinic to get the supplies he needed. He consulted another Dr to make sure they were doing everything they could for a positive outcome. So thankful for City Creatures. We had to unexpectedly put our sweet girl Godiva down on New Year’s Eve this year. We just received her ashes back and they made us a forever paw print of her, an ornament with her hair, a card from all of their employees saying condolences and a beautiful chest with her in it. Although, she is not here with us and picking her up was extremely difficult, to have this of her really means a lot to my family and I. Thank you!

One month ago we brought our 6 year old boxer in because she was sick for a couple days, she was perfectly healthy up to 3 days before get in there she is even more sick, they take her back and start an IV. And the power goes out. No back up generator, they tell us she is jaundice and is really sick if she does make it she will be hospitalized for a while and no guarantee she will make it, since my son who dog this is is disabled and low income we asked about the emergency pet fund, their response was we only use it for established clients, well nine months to the day our other dog died there from a large tumor We were clients so we applied for care credit went out side for a minute and one of their staff came out looking for us telling us she was going and they had already put the needle in her to euthanize her, was a little shocked because we were waiting to find out what happened to her, and still don't know what a healthy dog 3 days before suddenly died, I really don't know if I can go back there again very disappointed with their service

I love City Creatures!!! My ferret Phil went in yesterday for his distemper shot, which is normally an in-and-out visit. However he ended up having a bad reaction to the vaccine this time. The doctors were so caring and the main veterinarian stayed a bit longer after his shift to make sure he was alright before leaving! All of the employees here are so nice, which is sometimes hard to find in a vet. 10/10 would recommend ????

This was our first visit with our guinea pig Jackson. Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly, and made us feel welcome. Due to Covid we had to wait outside but the staff communicated with us to keep us updated. The Dr called once the physical was complete and gave a detailed report and had asked if I had any questions. He did not rush the call, he took the time to answer questions and offered suggestions and provided materials for caring for Jackson.

So my dog Rupert saw Dr. Albert at All Creatures Animal Hospital in Amherst for years. And I was always pleased with the care he received there. I switched to seeing Dr. Albert at City Creatures because the location is closer to home and he's available more in line with my work schedule at City. So when it came time to make end of life decisions for my most precious Rupert, I knew it had to be Dr. Albert to help me, help Rupert cross the rainbow bridge. He was such a comfort, walked me through every step, and reassured me that in his knowledgeable experience I was doing the best thing for my baby. The rest of the staff at City Creatures was wonderful as well. Thank you City Creatures staff for helping me through the most difficult time of my life so far. And, taking such care and consideration when returning his remain . He came home in a beautiful cedar box, his paw prints in a beautiful display, I will be able to remember him at his best forever. My experience with City Creatures has been terrible!! I will begin by saying when I brought our Golden Retriever in as a puppy for all of her shots the vet told me, "as far as Goldens are concerned, you didn't get a good one". I should have known then that this vet wasn't where I should be taking my dog. My husband and I laugh now and often say, "we didn't get a good one, we have a great one". She is the most lovable, well behaved dog around-not because of training, but because that is who she is. Lucky for her and for us, she hadn't had any health issues until 2 wks ago and she is an old girl now. I had noticed a hotspot and some pink skin-I began treating it and noticed a mark improvement by that night, I made an appointment at City Creatures just to double check that she was ok. During the appointment the vet didn't give her a once over to check her skin and over all health, she simply made a chart to show me all the things they wanted me to buy. I purchased the antibiotic and the items I didn't want, they have you draw a line across those items, i.e.., shampoo etc., and mark NO- almost like an at home vacuum cleaner salesman- I felt like they were attempting to embarrass me, but they only embarrassed themselves. I gave her the meds 2x and both times she threw up. I brought the meds back to City Creatures asking for a their opinion, advice, a possible exchange of meds. They told me the vet that I saw was on house calls and that she would get back to me that night or the following morning. Well, I'm still waiting, but not really. I WILL NEVER bring my dog back to this vet again. I want a vet that is interested in my dogs health not a vet that says inappropriate things, that simply wants to sell me their goods and doesn't have any concern that the prescribed meds made my dog sick and/or the decency to call when they said they would.

I would not take another pet to City Creatures under any circumstances. My cat was a patient in good standing for many years with annual check-ups and shots. But when he was sick and needed them most, they callously refused to fit him in that day and he died. Absolutely uncaring and worthless in an emergency. I also question the thoroughness and quality of his most recent physical which found nothing wrong. Also, don't let them take your pet in the back without you. After doing so a few years ago, my cat was terrified of the place. Now, in retrospect, I regret not heeding his reaction and finding a new vet.

The staff at City Creatures are wonderful, I think they might adore my cat as much as I do. She had a bit of a rough patch at the end of 2020 and the vet working with her followed up regularly to make sure she was getting better. Yesterday Abby went back for a checkup and the vet personally came out to my car to talk about her improvement and just how sweet she is. Great place that will take care of your fur babies!

1st off I’ve always heard good things about this place, I was hesitant to bring my pets literally because I was a broke college kid and they were pretty much healthy dogs majority of their life. Well my female dog Fendii (8) (unfixed at the time) had recently finished a heat cycle and basically was leaking discharge which is a big ????⚠️ for something that could develop into what’s known as pyometra, it’s bad and kill your pet fast in some cases. City Creatures staff was so warm, friendly and they even helped out with the bill (-$300) because I just didn’t have a lot of money and the surgery was almost $2k Dr. Weaver was so kind, educated and responsive to all my questions and concerns and I was so emotional and they just made me feel absolutely alright about everything that was happening. They walked me thru her whole procedure, and she had a successful surgery and is in recovery. I highly recommend this place (City Creatures) if you have a pet and need great care. I will bring my future pets and tell all my family and friends ????to bring their pats to this veterinarian for sure!????

I found this place by searching "reptile vet" on Google. My northern blue toungue skink wasn't well. They were able to see me the next day as a new client which I was so grateful for (his situation wasnt an emergency). The waiting area is clean and comfortable, reception staff was so friendly. They have a seperate seating area for cats and dogs. The medical staff we were seen by(total of 4 different people) were wonderful. Genuinly kind and so knowledgeable. The vet was very familiar with my BTS and gave me a ton of useful information for me to make his quality of life better (he was a rescue, my first bts). Stanley is already feeling better with his new medicine. Today I brought my dog Lola in for vaccines and an exam, again it was a great experience with staff. There was just such a genuine feel of compassion and care for my pet. I feel the prices were very reasonable compared to where we went previously with out sacrificing quality of care and service. So happy to have found this place! I will be getting all our pets in for appointments! Highly recommend!!!!

Recently left this office because they seem much more focused on expansion than actual patient care. It's a chore to actually get them on the phone, I haven't found a doctor there that I felt connected with my dog since dr. Andritz left and I was wholly put out by the fact that I was not told that she left. I found out only when I called to schedule an appointment and had to ask why they were trying to schedule my dog to see someone other than his regular doctor. They are much too busy to give full attention and establish a comfortable and trustworthy connection to patients.

Was told dog had strange mass in stomach needed exploratory surgery. Nothing was found in the stomach but strangely enough it was discovered he had carcinoma in the throat.. So the doctor decided to go ahead and proceed to have the surgery to remove the cancer mass in the throat without notifying us first. Our dog was young and healthy and he was a third-generation dog who had no symptoms of this cancer. Days after the surgery a huge knot appeared on my dogs neck. It was never present before. So when we took him for his post visit the Dr. informed us that the cancer had come back twice the size and our only choices were to make him comfortable,medicate him and watch him die or let them put him down and immediately gave us the invoice for killing him.

Dr weaver is the best veterinarian I’ve ever taken my pets to! She got her degree from Cornell, she’s very educated and on top of her practice. She always gives me good advice, whether it be a veterinary approves dog food or information about algae blooms in season in local waterways that my dog swims near. Highly recommend!!

City Creatures has been my vet for the last 10 years. It hurts me to write this but I feel as they are very unhelpful during this crisis. My dogs situation initially wasn’t considered life threatening to City Creatures a little over a week ago. I had to press them to get an appointment. I just had to put my dog down this morning at a clinic I’ve never been to. When I called to advise I no longer need an appointment there was no concern, no questions asked, just ok and hung up. I’m so disappointed.
