100% confidence in the team at Kingsway Animal Hospital. ALL of the doctors, technicians, receptionists and even the clinic cat, Shelley, are committed and dedicated to taking exceptional care of your pet/s. And they are great with explanations and instructions for the two legged owners too. Phoebe and Artemus, our 15 year old cats have been going for years and Phoebe recently had some urgent health needs. If you need a vet you can trust, a team who is caring, empathetic with incredible follow up....then don't look further. You'll be delighted with the services at the Kingsway Animal Hospital. Very kind and compassionate vets and team etc. Over 2.5 decades we only ever took our 2 beloved family dogs here and they always received thorough, caring treatment from skilled vets. Really know their stuff. Sadly but with great empathy, they also helped us when our 2 sweethearts were at the end of their lives and it still chokes me up until this day to even write about them, but the team here made this very difficult decision possible, with no suffering and with great compassion. My boy, Quincy Jones, suffers from extreme anxiety making him very difficult to deal with when at the vet. As a result, he had never had a proper examination in his 6 years of life. However, with a little help from the drugs I give him to prepare, the staff at KAH have been able to administer good checks on him twice over just a few months. They are very patient and caring, something I'm very pleased about.

I highly recommend them for their kindness, caring and understanding. They provide excellent care and are also very flexible and helpful in the situation of a suddenly sick pet. The clinic is conveniently located, the staff are all great and there is ample parking. They provide boarding as well. Cannot say enough good things!

The Kingsway Animal Hospital is staffed with kind and caring experts. Besides regular check ups my cat recently needed some dental surgery. I was a total mess but everyone I interacted with was thoughtful and made me feel very comfortable. They took excellent care of my pet and she's fully recovered, happy and healthy. I also really like that you can schedule appointments online and they email you to remind you.

My family and I have been bringing out pets to this animal hospital since we moved in the area about 15 years ago. Though their prices are high, they are really thorough with cat and dog care. The secretary/admin are very friendly and genuine people. The vets are good. There is one vet that is new and is super friendly and awesome, and there are two older vets that I have encountered that are more cold, blunt but informative. Regardless, all staff are pretty good.

She did not pressure any expensive actions, but described in detail several optional treatments and tests. I had to pick up meds for on of my cats and therefore communicated through an open window. The staff is very efficient and professional. Now during the pandemic, clients are unable to go into the building with their pet. Staff come outside to take your pet inside to a vet to be checked out. We adopt seniors, and have been bringing them (six so far!) to The Kingsway Animal Hospital for years. Cannot imagine going anywhere else. From the lovely people who answer the phone, to the groomers, to the vets themselves - each individual there has treated us and our furry family with care and respect. They are honest with their opinions, and I've never felt pressured to do anything that didn't feel right. They've always fit us in when there's an emergency (and with seniors - those happen) and are excellent with checking up on us after treatment. I cannot recommend this vet office more highly.

I was warmly welcomed by Alyshia at the front desk and proceeded to chat with the other people who were also in the waiting room. Each of them had been going to this clinic with their pets for years and were very happy with the service. I saw Dr. Grieve for the check up and she provided me with lots of information and also answered my questions patiently and kindly. She was great with my kitten, Ella. If I have any other concerns with either of my cats, I'm definitely coming back here.

I've been taking our dog to Kingsway Animal Hospital for the last 2 years, and each visit is always great experience. Staff in the front are so welcoming, warm and friendly, our dog loves the attention (and treats) she gets while we wait. We usually see Dr Grieve but have met with other vets at the clinic as well, all wonderful. What I love is that they walk you through a variety of options for treatments/tests and prices to consider, taking into account your pets health and comfort, and work with you to find the most cost effective approach. I never feel pressured or guilted into anything while there. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! Most people dont trust vets because they run them like profit centre which ends up harming pets. But this place as great - their staff was so kind. My cat has a chronic disease - so they were super empathic, explained things clearly and guided me with some difficult decisions with respect to my cat's long term care.

I have been a client here for many many years and really like the staff and location. I do have a preferred doctor that I ask to see when I bring my pets here but all the doctors are great and the techs are fantastic too; they are friendly and personable. It's got a local neighbourhood feel to the place. The parking can be a bit tricky/tight but it's so close to subways and residential areas that it probably isn't really an issue. In terms of pricing, probably on par with most clinics in the area. Have only had routine procedures done on my pets here. Well run and employees seem quite happy as many have been here for many years.

Dissapointed in the service. I was told that I could pick up a few pills (diaretics) over the phone and then when I showed up they refused to sell them to me, because my dog was not with me. Although, i have a prescription with them. My dog is a 12 year old jack russel who suffers from heart disease and I avoid unnecessary car travel with him.

My cat oscar was sick a while ago with fatty liver disease. I was devastated that he was losing weight at such a rapid and dangerous pace. I had many online forums saying that he had no chance, as he had lost over 50% of his body weight and was also diagnosed with fiv. The staff here were here for me every day, updating me and encouraging me. They genuinely care and want their patients to get better. I am so grateful to have my baby back to normal, and I owe it all to them :)

Very bad experience with them., My feeling is that when they think you have spent all the money you are going to he won't even call you back. Took my sick dog to Kingsway to have her put down yesterday. Such a difference in quality of service here. A little more expensive but worth it

I have been going to the Kingsway Animal Hospital with my cats for over 40 years. This is a truly professional, expert, and caring place, and I cannot imagine ever going anywhere else. I have had a couple of cats with really difficult medical conditions; and the vets have shown more expertise, empathy, and compassion than anyone could possibly expect or hope for. They keep up with the latest in treatments; they consult with specialists in unusual cases; and they also have excellent judgment and a great deal of common sense. Just a wonderful vet. I moved into the area and had to change vets as my old one was too far. My kitty Leroy was at the end of days and they took really really good care of him to the point where I could bring him home for his last few days. For the past 12.5 years Dr. Van Slyke (Dr. V.) took care of my Bentley.The last time she saw him was when he was at death's door with a virus.Without her years of experience , I would have lost Ben.It took a couple of days at the hospital to bring him back to his old self and I'm most grateful to Dr. V. She also made it a point to call me at home asking how he's doing.The followup matters. Yes, there are people that have told me to go to other vet clinics for better prices etc.It's not about price.It's about "quality" of care over the years Ben received.If I wasn't satisfied, I would have gone elsewhere.You cannot put a price on experience. And Dr. V. has it.She's been around the block and done it. I know Ben's time is limited and Dr. Van Slyke knows that too.And, that's why there are no heroics in trying to keep him alive should he suffer.No pushing meds or operations. So far, he's comfortable and that's what's most important for him right now.He's an old timer ! Thank you Dr. V. and thank you staff for your care over the years....even you Alex! Ben loves you man!

Avoid the Kingsway Animal Hospital at all cost. The receptionist was incredibly rude and arrogant/unprofessional and unwilling to be ever so slightly flexible to accommodate its clients needs. You might have had your busiest year given Covid but that's no reason for you to start treating your clients poorly and exhibit snobbish behaviour. Many people have shared similar experiences lately on local neighbourhood social groups as well. To anyone considering the Kingsway Animal Hospital, do yourself a favour and take your business elsewhere, there are plenty of kind, compassionate and professional vets in the area that will take excellent care of your beloved pets.

I have a 17 yr. old Siamese cat that is suffering from Renal Failure. His condition has gotten worse in the past year so we now have to insert a needle attached to a clear fluid bag into the loose skin on his back every other day. We also have to squirt a small amount of fish oil into his mouth with a small syringe. Sound easy? It isn't! I took my cat in and asked them to teach me how to do this. A technician showed me how to position the needle so it doesn't just pop out. Now I can take him to the cottage with us & do it up there. Freedom at last. The Vets and the technicians are patient and kind and I can enjoy my cat for an extended period of time.

We were referred to K.A.H. from another GSD owner and we're glad we listened. They're easily accessible with ample parking whether on site, on street or greenp lot across the street. As soon as you arrive you can feel the positive energy just when the window opens and you're greeted. The staff are always awesome at taking care of our boy Loki even though at times he can be a bit of a drama queen. The Kingsway Animal Hospital is without a doubt a hidden gem. I brought my kitten to them when I first adopted her and they provided with so much information for caring for a pet. Their staff is well-informed and very friendly. From the moment you step through the door, you feel welcomed and at ease. I had seen Dr. Grieve and she was incredible with keeping my cat calm while she examined her. If you're looking for a vet clinic that has more of a personal touch, I highly recommend choosing the KAH. You won't regret it! P.S. They also give free nail trimmings that take no time at all, which is amazing considering I always have to fight tooth and nail when trying to trim my cat's nails.

We have a 30 year history with our two dogs at The Kingsway Animal Hospital. Our second dog was a beautiful Yorkshire Terrier named Logan, that from four months old had some health issues that The Kingsway Animal Hospital solved. And afterwards, even through two major surgeries and finally lymphoma cancer, Logan never lost his spirit or his joy of life, thanks to The Kingsway Animal Hospital. What a beauty he was! There isn’t a moment that goes by that we don’t miss our kind little man, our sweet baby Logan. Chris for taking the time to look at the xray and her response , and to Dr.G.Grieve for the reassurance given on the day of our appointment, and then taking care of the problem our dog was having. The follow up telephone on the next day inquiring on the status of our dog was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this vet practice.
