The staff and experience of North Kipling Veterinary Hospital were very compassionate and kind when my Wife and I had to surrender our old girl Codie of 17 years this morning who passed away after her long struggle with old age. Ashley and her co-worker were very knowledgeable and took the time needed to help us over this tough time. Thank you ladies. 5 stars! God bless all Vets who take the time to look after our four legged friends in their time of need!

Dr. Gibbon is a phenomenal vet. Not only did I take my cat Geej for care to Dr. Gibbon for years, but also adopted my cat Elvis from her clinic. Dr. Gibbon truly loves caring for and helping animals. She is very knowledgeable in her field and I trust her with my pets life. It is NOT all about money, like many other vets. It is about an amazing vet who lives, eats, breathes a love for animals.

Literally wish I can give y’all 0 stars. My rottie needed attention, but everyone was scared of him, even with the muzzle on him (he wasn’t even acting violent, they just couldn’t get him to walk into the room because he was scared). Not professional at all, does not care about the dog, rather they care about the income they receive. As someone who cared, they’d do what they could to ensure the health and safety of my dog. I just wanted a quick check up so I can maybe see what could be wrong as he has a swollen leg, but they kept insisting on knowing what I wanted to do after. How am I supposed to know what I wanted to do after, if I couldn’t even get him checked first?? I did not want to give him medication to calm him down, when I could’ve calmed him down myself (he was anxious) but they “didn’t trust me” (I’m the owner of the dog). I wouldn’t mind medicating him for the swelling or any injury he may have, I just found it pointless to medicate him for his anxiety, when I can just help him. (They couldn’t get the muzzle on him and recommended medication for that too, but I was able to get the muzzle on him after calming him down by myself) Y’all suck. why are you a vet if you aren’t comfortable with ALL dogs, not just little frickn chihuahuas.

They are so helpful with all my doggies. They always explain well and it makes me feel better. They are very clear with the cost. So you don't have any surprises with the bill you receive each visit. Most of all very kind with my doggies.

They do not let you in, only your pet. And no estimates about wait times. But the pet was examined and her documents analyzed and the vaccines were recommended (basing on the pet's history). All communication between pet owner and the personnel is over the phone, so they will ask your consent before any procedure.

I followed Dr. Gibbon through the years to make sure my Mini was in good hands. Last month unfortunately Mini was really sick and had to be put down. My little dog had what appeared to be a ear infection, scratching and whimpering while she scratched. I didn't have a vet in this area and I phone every veterinary clinic located in Etobicoke and surrounding areas trying to get an appointment. I explained she appeared to be in pain and I needed an appointment, no-one could help, the closest appointment I received was October 1st, 3 weeks away. I called North Kipling and they said they would squeeze her in some way that day. The doctor said she wouldn't let a animal suffer, so she would make room for her. They were very busy, practically running from one owner to another but always professional, informative and very kind to the animals in their care. My dog is very nervous and since I couldn't go in with her it meant a lot to me that they were so gentle and kind. I spoke to the doctor after the consultation and she was knowledgeable, intelligent and personable. They may have stayed late just to accommodate my little dog and it was appreciated. That they were so knowledgeable and caring I would definitely go back for follow up care.

If you love your Dog, cat, pet…do your loved one; your family member a favor and go see Dr. Contreras and her crew. I called first thing in the morning on a Saturday and took my Paco in for what I thought was an emergency (bad ear infection) and without question they accepted and agreed to squeeze us in their very busy schedule and gave me their word that they will try their best to have Paco taken care of, which thanks to their careful management, professionalism and amazing organization, they made it very possible and quick. The very friendly crew/administration greeted us with such unconditional love and care not to mention the open arms that made Paco feel VERY welcomed and happy to be there, not to mention him not even realizing that he was leaving me once we took him inside. He definitely felt at home and with his reaction towards the love and care, ultimately made me feel comfortable as well as assured that my dog would be well taken care of as if he was one of their own. Dr. Contreras was extremely happy to have Paco there with them and had nothing but good things to say about my Paco and his temperament. Something I never got from the previous 3 different vets I have been to because they were too scared of the breed (Dogo Argentino). I have had vets before ask me to hold my dog down for a simple ear and respiratory check because of fear I’m assuming. All while he was presenting himself as a very friendly and submissive pupp. Once Paco was in and being taken care of, Dr. Contreras came out after examining him and it came to my attention that Paco had a little more than just an ear infection. I felt nothing but appreciative towards the Doctors’ help, opinions and recommendations towards having a healthier and stronger Dog being that his health was of first and only priority for us. I believe that this veterinary practice is one of the best if not the most professional and loving/family oriented and extraordinary group they can be towards your dog or pets health and well being. They treated us like family and helped Paco get on the right track to becoming the strong and healthy dog we all want him to be.

I used to bring my dog to this location for a couples of years and everything was just fine until the owner was changed. I was a bit skeptical to bring my dog but this place is awesome! They treat my dog like he was their own. I would highly recommend this place, plus they also speak Spanish and they have Reasonable prices. :)

We have only just begun with North Kipling Veterinary Hospital and are quite pleased to date. Everyone we have interacted with has been professional, friendly and kindhearted towards us and most importantly to our kittens. It is an uneasy feeling during these isolation times to let go and entrust the care of your pets while you wait outside, but because of the caring voices during the telephone communications we were able to trust them and the process of care.

I came across a Kijiji ad for a highly neglected 17 year old cat. I adopted him immediately and North Kipling were able to fit him in within 2 days. (I called on Saturday and was in on Monday) His eye was all infected and sunken into his skull, underweight and had severely infected paws. To be honest, I was a wreck when I got there. Tears were shed. All of the staff were incredibly kind, patient and empathetic. They were compassionate in their care and took a sensible and loving approach. They opted to treat his most pressing painful matters and to leave blood work and the likes until that could be resolved. I feel like many vets, much like mechanics, would take advantage of your desperation to the detriment of your pet. This is 100% NOT the case with North Kipling. Their slogan rings true, they treat your pets like their own. After receiving my home instructions, I had a very rough night with my old man. I called them the next day and they were able to accommodate a same day appointment. Their rates are reasonable and every single staff member, whether on the phone or in person have been so incredibly kind. If you’re shopping around for a vet, look no more. It’s a 35 minute drive from my house but they’ve got a loyal customer out of me. Thank you again Sergio, Daniela and Dr. Forbes !

We phoned North Kipling Vetrinary Hospital in a real jam, having pets whose flight was delayed and in need of special food for their dietary restrictions. Cassie not only was able to supply the food we needed but helped arrange for delivery to the hotel where our in-laws were staying with the pets. In the midst of a very difficult, stressful time, she - and the whole hospital - were a bright spot. I would fully recommend them to anyone looking for kind, caring, and animal-centred service.

Technicians would rather you drug your pet, than let you accompany them inside. I understand the COVID protocols, but most vet offices are now willing to allow one person in with their pet. I’ve already spent $2000 dollars with this vet, and they still won’t let me come in to comfort my scared boy. Terrible.

I’ve brought my kitten and puppy here so many times and I can honestly say they’re the only people I trust with my fur baby Kobe. They’re so nice and so patient with him as he has some separation anxiety. But they slowly walk him in with treats and by the time he’s done his tail is wagging and he’s got a smile on his face! I’ve moved an hour out of the city but will still be making the trip for the best care! Always so kind and so gentle! Thank you to everyone for looking after my babies so well! I love this place. My dog Luna absolutely feels safe here. I simply walk in, wait for her in the waiting area, and she walks in with the staff for her consultation. Amazing! The staff are all super friendly, especially the technician in reception he is very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. I took Luna in for her cherry eye and spay surgeries. She is now recovering very quickly. I highly recommend.

My dog had a limp for a few weeks. Brought him in May to get checked. We were told we had to book an exam (which are expensive at all vets) first before dealing with the issue. (Makes sense, they need to see him first ok) Paid for the exam. At the exam Vet didn't do anything except they told us they would need to do an XRAY to know for sure what is wrong. (Ok makes sense, pretty annoying that he could've just told me that on the Phone, instead of me bringing in him and paying for a consultation, but whatever that is how it goes) BUT at the exam they told us to wait it out, observe my dog, give him pain meds (prescribed by ANOTHER vet i had previously gone to) and if his limp continues, to come back to get the XRAY done. Gave my dog his pain meds all summer, once the pain meds ran out end of September, he was limping again. We call North Kipling to book the XRAY. And guess what? They want us to PAY FOR ANOTHER CONSULTATION BEFORE GETTING HIS XRAY DONE! So ridiculous, because at the consultation we had in May, all they could do was say we only will know through an XRAY. THEY are the ones who told us to WAIT before getting an XRAY and now, we need to pay for another consultation AGAIN!!! Absolutely ridiculous. So unprofessional, and completely unethical. They clearly are more interested in getting money from these ridiculously high priced vet consultations than wanting to help my dog get better, by allowing us to just move forward and book his Xray so he can receive the help he needs! Unprofessional, unethical, greedy. I went to another Vet, called them, and they booked his XRAY immediately.

The most important qualities that I look for in a veterinary clinic are: compassion, competency, and honesty. I recently took my two dogs to the newly opened "North Kipling Vet Hospital, in the Kipling Plaza, and found the staff to be friendly, caring, professional and they followed the Covid safety policy, which I appreciated. My dogs were well treated by Dr. Gibbon and her staff. She was very knowledgeable, and explained what was required to maintain the health and well-being of my dogs. I highly recommend this vet hospital to my friends and will continue to bring my dogs back for their annual check ups. To the staff, thank you for all your hard work, wishing you continued success.

They are truly amazing! My youngish dog was limping and I took her to NKVH for a second assessment. Not only did they cure the problem but they explained the situation to me clearly and patiently so that I could take preventive measures.
