When you really need a vet, rest assured this place will let you down. My dog was having a real problem we called the vet, we had been several times before, and although they were there, apparently they were leaving soon and were just too busy!! It times like this you learn which are the good vets and which just want you money!! Do you animal a favour head up to burnhamthorpe!

Both times I've had to take my cat here for an emergency, they fit me into their booked schedule to treat my cat, and gave my cat all the treatment he needed at the time. I find Dr. Ghazi caring and compassionate as well as the staff! They are definitely my Vet. of choice now.

This vet is absolutely the worst vet I have ever been too. I've had dog's for 30 years and I have been to a lot of vets. This bar none is the worst. He doesn't care about the animals, just the money. I live in a community with a lot of pets and everyone in the neighborhood agrees. They have gone and wont be going back. He better get his act together or he will only have one time clients.

If you are looking for a professional, thorough, experienced, and honest veterinarian who cares about you and your pet, I highly recommend Dr Ghazi. I've been to several veterinarians throughout Mississauga and downtown Toronto, and Dr. Ghazi and his staff provide the best quality service and advice. I am taking my dog to New Zealand, which is an extremely complex process with multiple vaccinations, test, and examinations on a strict timeline. Dr. Ghazi has taken the time out to call the government of Canada and New Zealand inquiring about specific vaccinations, has kept in constant contact with me via phone and email about his recommendations, and he always has my dog's health as top priority. He is meticulous with his work, and scrutinizes any unnecessary vaccination that may jeopardize the health of your animal, and your budget. He is honest, pragmatic, and straight-forward with his feedback. Go to Dr. Ghazi as he is an extremely caring veterinarian and will take good care of you and your companion(s). I cannot recommend him enough.

They are just out to take your money. They are way overpriced and won’t give a discount to any animal rescues. I once went in to ask for a urine sample bottle for my poor foster dog and they wouldn’t give it to me! Jerks!

I have been taking my cat to Dr. Ghazi for a few years now, and he has always given him the best care possible. Dr. Ghazi is really intelligent, extremely compassionate, and friendly. I once brought my cat to him in an emergency, and Dr. Ghazi took him into surgery immediately and saved his life! The 3 staff members that I have met during my visits there have all been so kind and welcoming. You can tell that these people love animals and put their heart into their work. I would highly recommend taking your pet to this vet.

I've been taking my 14 year old Shepherd and 10 year old Leonberger here their whole lives. Dr. Ghazi always seems to remember little details about them, and gives an honest assessment without any frills. I'm confident he always has my animals best interests at heart. He also doesn't force products or services on you if you don't 100% need them, and is good about diagnosing something in stages (start w bloodwork and urine before moving on to more complicated/expensive procedures) if it's not an emergency. The techs are friendly and welcoming.

I took my 9 year old Standard Schnauzer to Marina Animal Hospital today for his 3 year rabies, I have to say that this is the best Animal Hospital I have been to in all my time in Canada. They tell you the total truth, they explain everything in a way that you fully understand. They do not mislead you in anyway or charge you for things you don't need! For a full check up and vaccinations was the best price I have ever paid, that with wonderful service means I have to give 5 stars! I am getting my puppy in 4 weeks time and I can tell you I will be using Marina Animal Hospital. I would fully recommend this place to anyone

I can not believe the good reviews this clinic has after my horrible experience! I took my dog here for the first time a few weeks ago and feel completely taken after a 5 min appointment and an almost $500 bill for a routine checkup. Due to covid I was not allowed into the clinic but was told I would be facetimed so that I could watch from outside. First of all the doctor muzzled my dog immediately despite not showing aggressive behaviour whatsover, next I did NOT receive a call except to say the checkup was over and to come pick up my dog. I am very curious how a comprehensive physical can be completed in just a few short minutes. I have no way of even confirming my dog received his required shots since I was not allowed to participate. When I came to pick up my dog I had a few questions about the health of my dog's teeth. I was told "they look fine" which also leaves me skeptical since my dog was muzzled the whole time. I really don't feel like this clinic cares at all about their patients or customers.

Some of the prices are a bit expensive but when I went to seven different vets for my last dog they told us they couldn't do anything bout it but at this place they were actually able to fix his sickness and he lived for two more yrs after that though soon after died from age

We took our cat to the emergency clinic and paid an arm and a leg for a diagnoses and then when we went in to Marina to get a routine check up (coincidentally three days after the emergency visit) the doctor noticed things on the x ray that the emergency place didn't even mention to us (including something lodged in her throat!) I would suggest that if people want to get a proper diagnoses the first time go to this guy. All I can say is that Ghazi has saved our pets lives multiple times. Everyone is really nice there and you can see from the way they act that they all are pet owners and actually care about the animals. The place is small but effective and is also exceptionally clean. Convenient location too.

When my dog was bitten at the dog park I took him here to get the wound checked. In my experience everyone at Marina was really friendly to me and more importantly to my dog! It was definitely a lot cleaner than other vets I have been to in the past and in terms of pricing it was pretty standard. Not sure why others have complained about over charging (probably just cheapskates who couldn't understand their bill). All charges seemed reasonable when they were explained to me. In any case my dog is better now and I'm grateful for that. Will be back in a month to pick up more of our dog's diet food.

My cat isn't a patient here (maybe thankfully), but I called to enquire if they could fit her in relatively soon for an apparent ear infection and am so displeased with the hostile tone of the receptionist! The vet may very well be lovely but I'll never know because the only way they would see her was with a $600 deposit pre appointment for a common cat problem.. (despite me having her health/exam records). They are delusional to think that they would run $600 worth of tests/labs without my consent - if I agreed to run them, I'd be paying for it obviously! It's a shame because we're searching for a new vet we both love but first impressions matter and this won't be the one.

Dr Ghaz has been my vet for many years. With 2 dogs and 2 cats he has been there for me and my pets for many occasions. Most recent he went out of his way to accommodate my request in allowing my animals to be part of the death of my cat Winston. Winston was the the animal the others all attached to. In him doing this my remaining 3 animals have an understanding that Winston has not just disappeared but passed on. Dr Ghazi was patient and kind and understanding. Thank you in giving my family a wonderful experience.

Wow, based in my experience trying to purchase dog food here, I would NEVER let this guy set eyes in my dog! We just moved into the area, so we are looking for a local vet, but no need right now. I tried to buy a large bag of Hills T/D food and he insisted I register with the clinic because "it's a prescription". I said it's not a prescription, it's just sold at vets. I said I was in a hurry and could I do it next time and he said no. I said if I can't just buy the food without registering I'd buy it elsewhere, to which he responded by showing me the door! So, we are probably going to go with Long Branch Animal Hospital (4km out of our way) when we have any veterinary or dietary needs. Pressure tactics like this to build your client-base is a sure sign he's not a great vet. UPDATE: Now that we have lived here awhile and gotten to know our neighbours....this guy misdiagnosed a tick on our neighbour’s dog for almost a year (10 months)! Not that our neighbours didn’t take him into the vet early ... this guy missed the the diagnosis altogether even though it was specifically the reason our neighbours brought him in. I definitely wouldn’t entrust my dog’s care and welfare with this guy. Long Branch clinic is great! Go there instead and have piece of mind your animal is genuinely cared for.

I've been taking my cat AND dog here for about two years for both annual check ups and miscellaneous health concerns (my standard poodle loves the taste of garbage) --- Dr.Ghazi is not only very straightforward with his opinions but also took the time to answer my questions and explore various treatments and told me about the corresponding cost. After my 14 year old cat started losing weight Dr.Ghazi ran some blood tests and found that he tested positive for cat AIDS :( and gave me advice on kitty lifestyle adjustments that would have to be made as well as some literature on the disease (and he's doing really well for an old boy)! The staff is absolutely lovely, they're so friendly, the clinic is clean!! Absolutely 10/10.

We booked an appointment for our dog for annual heartworm shots. At that time, they said they would call us as a reminder 2 days before the appointment. We never received a call. On file with them we have 2 numbers; home and cell. On the day of the appointment; (not 2 days before), they called the cell number and told us they were charging us a $35 dollar "missed" fee for the appointment. They were very rude and said that they tried the home number at 10 am and said the number was "disconnected"; 2 hours later, they called our cell number and told us they were going to charge us for the missed appointment! I asked them, WHY are they calling us 2 hours after the appointment on our cell - claiming they could not reach us at our home number, and WHY didn't they call the cell number immediately if they couldn't reach us at the home number, (No explanation was offered); they most certainly reached us on the cell...VERY shady/fraudulent and not professional at all. Also, they wanted $754.00 to have our dog Neutered, and we had our beautiful girl neutered for $250. at the SPCA with no problems at all. If you need your dog spayed or neutered, SAVE yourself a lot of money and go to the SPCA (the SPCA was amazing and very helpful, professional). Overall experience with Marina Animal hospital was just terrible and I would not trust them with my dogs care! Very poor service and overpriced. There are MANY other Veterinarian hospitals opening up in the Lakeshore area that are VERY professional and can provide the necessary care for your loved one. NOTE this vet also sells a 3 month supply of Advantage for 65.00 which you can actually get exactly the same product but a 12 month supply for 100.00. This product is use for dog fleas. As options look up new Vet's on Lakeshore - there are a few new ones opening and the Vet we are now seeing is Amazing!!!

I’m quite happy with the service and the meticulous scheduling skills of the junior vet/vet assistant. I got a new kitten who is scared of going to the vet, and the doctors at Marina Hospital made sure I didn’t have to wait before the appointment or after it. This way my pet wasn’t too stressed.

My cat had a lump in her mouth that required some testing; however, prior to doing so this vet had given her antibiotics to see if it would clear it up. Unfortunately it did not clear up and when we were ready for the tests this vet provided two options. 1) he could perform an oral test which was a biospy or 2) a oral specialist could perform it. We did not care whom performed the tests only that she got them done. He had hinted that it could possibly be a tumor. We never recieved a response back from them pertaining to when they could schedule the appointment and a estimate (which did not matter but wanted to confirm). I inquired 3x via with no response back and anytime we would call they would not return our calls. This was also during the height of the pandemic which they insisted on email communication. After the many attempts to schedule an appointment with no response, we had to go to another vet which then diagnosed our fur baby immediately. The outcome was not good and we shortly had to say goodbye to her. It was very clear that this vet knew what the lump was and clearly ignored all of our attempts to figure out what it was since he didn't want to deal with outcome. I have previously been to this vet 3x before this all occured and each time he was unpleasant to deal with and always pushed for tests that were not needed (full xrays when all my cat needed was her glands released). We now have a new vet that we see that is amazing and even when we transfered over, we told them what happened with Marina and they weren't surprised.
