Oaklands vet clinic was my second choice after a bad experience with another vet clinic. They took very good care of my dog and answered all of my questions. The staff were incredibly friendly, and even though my puppy peed on the floor out of excitement they were still VERY kind. The vet did a wonderful job, she answered all my questions and concerns. I was incredibly happy with the outcome of my dogs appointment.

Very impressed with this Veterinary Hospital and with Dr. Williams in particular. My kitty was so sick. Her liver wasn't working properly. She was so yellow from jaundice. I thought FOR sure I was going to lose her (and at only 6 years old). I couldn't afford to send my her for overnight (24 hour) care at another vet hospital so by coming here I was able to send her for 12 hours of care every day. I dropped her off at 8am and picked her up at 8pm. We did this for a few days and she turned around completely under their care. Additionally, I probably saved thousands of dollars by coming here instead of an overnight hospital. I also always felt that I was given many treatment options, they were thoroughly explained so I understood everything going on and, most importantly, I do feel that they were very honest. They weren't pushy about giving her a bunch of expensive tests or surgery or anything. The staff are all amazing. Very clean place. Nothing but good things to say.

Best vet ever (looking at you Dr.Piercy) I have had some pretty crappy experiences with vets, but this is by far a great place. My kitty (lovingly known as a hatertot), does not do well with vets or anyone really. She had her 2nd visit today and both times has been treated with care and compassion. I think she knows she is there for help by both vet and the techs because she is relatively calm at the appointments despite her natural disposition as a little murderloaf. The clinic itself is very inviting and cozy with some treats for cats, dogs, and humans in the main area :) They put out yoga mats on the exam tables for a softer surface and the whole place is new and clean. Honestly, I am so pleased to have found a clinic worthy of my kitty and a staff that is knowledgeable and friendly as well as understanding of financial limits, by discussing options based on efficacy and affordability and allowing me to make the choice without pressure or judgement. I cannot rave enough about them! Violet the Violent says thank-you, too! ????

My little 15 year old dog suddenly took a turn for the worst and we needed a vet. The one we used for over 30 years refused to take him as they said they were booked up for the day. Even when we said the poor pup needed to be euthanized which wouldn’t take long to do. It was devastating! Thank God this vet took our pup and treated him and my husband with dignity!! When we arrived, they didn't have any in stock, but sold my partner on some poor substitute. He felt too polite to decline. NOT IMPRESSED. On Canada day long weekend, Saturday night around 4:30pm, just before they closed, we called with a quasi-emergency. Our pup had a Loonie-size cut on her leg and the skin was missing. They stayed open late just so that we wouldn’t have to call the emergency vet near Mayfair. They probably saved us $300, as the emergency vet can be quite expensive. All of the staff was very caring, and put us at ease. 6 stitches later and we settled out (inexpensive) bill and we were on our way. We are so very grateful and we’ll be recommending them for sure.

After a rough night, we knew it was the time to say goodbye to Mr Mitts, our 14 yr old cat. We tried to get an appt for a mobile vet so he could die in his bed but none were available on short notice. I called Oaklands at 8 a.m. and explained my situation. Danielle was so helpful and kind and managed to squeeze us in if we could come right now. After a stressful night it was such a relief to walk into the clinic and feel cared for. After assessing Mr Mitts and explaining the options, we decided that euthenasia was the best choice. Dr Burniston was so kind, gentle and respectful. I highly recommend Oaklands. It's great to have such a compassionate vet hospital in the neighbourhood. And I was presently surprised at how reasonable the bill was.

This place has been a total gift to our family this month. Our Ava kitty got sick and the staff was incredible! I called on a day that was fully booked and they offered to let me drop her off and have a vet see her as soon as possible between appointments! Dr. Burniston was incredible! He listened and took the time to explain everything in detail. He made it known that he was available to answer any questions we had. He wasn’t put off by our cats tendency to be very grouchy with other people (which I was worried about) The staff has such a friendly manner and there is even a resident cat available for pets and cuddles. The great experience starts at the front of house where the people answering phones, booking appointments, and handling fees are so friendly and so responsive! You can tell that they really love animals and are doing their jobs for the right reasons. We ended up having to put our cat down and the entire process was so dignified and kind. They even gave us an impression of her paws as a beautiful memory. As soon as we get another kitten I know that this will be our vet!

Oakland’s Veterinary Hospital is an exceptional clinic for animals and their owners! We had a previous vet for 15 years and after beginning to experience reduced customer service, high prices and feeling that they were more interested in achieving their business metrics than providing quality care we looked for an alternative. Oakland’s is conveniently located in our neighborhood. They have convenient hours, their administrative staff are excellent, their prices are reasonable and all of the staff make a sincere effort to help reduce the costs without sacrificing the care of their patients. We have been very fortunate to have our dog treated by Dr. Piercy and Dr. Burniston. Due to our pet’s condition we have used their services a handful of times since the spring. They were both sincerely interested in our concerns, gave generously of their time, listened attentively, researched options and provided exceptional follow up without requiring us to physically come back in to the clinic every time. They use technology as an addition to their service not a replacement. I am very happy to have found them and trust their suggestions and information. So grateful for them!

Recently brought my older Boxer in with a very difficult diagnosis. I honestly thought I was going to lose him and the vets at Oakland’s managed to figure out that he has Addison’s disease. He’s still not back to 100 %, but is on daily medication now and his condition has improved dramatically. I have seen all of the vets here and they are all fantastic. I have to give a special mention to Dr. Piercy though. When we were waiting on bloodwork I told her Masons condition was just deteriorating more and more and she came in on a day off to expedite the process of determining whether he had Addison’s or not and got him on steroids as soon as possible to improve his condition almost immediately. Thank you all so much, including the receptionists and vet assistants!

I truly can’t say enough good things about this clinic. In the year and a half I’ve had my dog, I’ve referred so many people to Oaklands I should be paid! Ha! We see Dr. Salloum, who is so lovely, but every other vet we’ve seen has been great as well. The vets and vet techs all clearly have such a deep love for animals, and this clinic is fairly priced and they never try to add on unnecessary tests or procedures. I moved to Vancouver recently and am struggling to find a vet clinic that’s even half as good. My dog is weary of strangers and very timid, and I’ve always been baffled by how much she loves going to the vet… as it turns out, she actually only likes going to ONE vet clinic!

I just got back from my first visit at this veterinary office, which happened to be on a Sunday during a long weekend. I called to bring my dog in, as we expected she had an ear infection. They were able to fit me in that day. The building is newly renovated, well-lit and inviting. Staff and doctor were both polite and very pleasant, and my dog was seen quickly and efficiently. The cost of the full checkup, ear culture, and medication was under 200 dollars, which is a very good price even without taking the fact it was a holiday weekend into account. Overall, I'm very impressed and so glad such a lovely clinic has opened up near my home! I'd certainly take my pets there again. Edit: I have since gone to Oaklands many times with all three of my pets and it has been consistently excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

They were all great until I had to deal with a vet tech that had a problem with me. I've never experienced anything like it. It's too bad because they all seemed like a great team. My two previous visits were very positive but the last visit was a doozy. Can't let one bad apple spoil the rest...... maybe she was just having a bad day ????

I recently adopted a pair of kittens and chose Oaklands Vet based on other reviews, and I am glad I did. The clinic is clean and welcoming, and Dr. Tom and Danielle were fantastic. I felt at ease at the clinic, and so did the little furry dudes. I'm glad to have found such a great place for veterinary care for the kitties!

Very friendly staff. They were great at answering my questions on the phone and during my appointment. The vets gave me their honest opinion and included me in the treatment decisions, without any pressure or judgement, which is what I respected the most. On top of all that, it's a great location and reasonably priced. Highly recommend them.

I recently just found Oaklands Veterinary Hospital in the middle of an emergency crisis with our beloved kitten Sunny. Right from my initial phone call, I knew my baby was in the best hands. They moved quickly to get him into emergency surgery soon after I picked him up from the emergency hospital where he was overnight. Dr. Piercy saved his life, removing string (pulled from a cat house) that had filled his intestines. Their swift action, and great care saved him. Dr. Piercy has an amazing bed side manner, that is equal parts love and care, experience and talent. His recovery has been so quick, and I am sure it's because of her talent and care as a surgeon, and all the love he received from the vet techs (Alix was amazing) while under their care. I cannot recommend them enough, and because of their ability to receive our emergency, and their great prices (we felt faced with euthanization based on the completely astronomical prices from the emergency hospital, and the fact that no other vet was equipped to intake an emergency surgery) our furbaby is alive and already thriving again. The clinic is bursting with good vibes, and you just know they are in it for the love of animals. Thank you (((SO MUCH))) Dr. Piercy and Oaklands Vet Hospital.

Very close by, fantastic prices for kitty food, friendly friendly staff. One of the docs took the time to find out which dry and tinned good we should be buying right now as our cat had loose stools. 2 days later, her guts are back to normal!! We will take our Balinese there for annual check ups, shots, etc. Thank you!!!

You really couldn't ask for more from a vet service! The doctor's and staff are as caring with people as they are with their pet patient's. They don't try to up- sale you with unnecessary procedures, take the time for you in a unhurried way and have a welth of professional knowledge/skill!

The entire staffat Oaklands are amazing! Our dog was having some issues and they were able to fit our guy in at the last minute on a Friday afternoon. Dr. Williams was so gentle and so nice to our dog. We are new to Victoria and I will only ever go back to Oaklands from now on! What a great clinic.
